But, to your point, Diana, that was very much the sentiment behind my second paragraph of the OP.  These are complex individuals and nothing I say can do them any justice in that respect.  I'm just trying to examine the spiritual principles brought up here.  You're okay with that, aren't you?

I am okay with it. I didn't mean to sound authoritarian about it. I was just expressing my take on it. I am not proposing to censor anyone's explorations on any topic. I suppose I have a bit of personal reaction there, as I have been in the public eye to a small degree and it is something of a catalyst for me.

I find that when I analyze a poem, it removes the magic, the deeper, wordless, intuitive feelings that, because the words were arranged in a certain way, are evoked in the individual individually. So much for my aversion to analyzing poetry.
