I've heard this phrase being used to describe peeps like Jesus.

Anyways, I've been studying astrology lately and learned recently of the north and south nodes of the moon. For those who are unfamiliar, each north/south node combination are sort of polarities of the astrological signs. Virgo/Piscses, Piscses/Virgo, Aries/Libra, Scorpio/Taurus, these are all north/south node configurations. They don't deviate. So Taurus/Scorpio will always be paired, Virgo/Pisces, etc. You can switch the two signs around, but Taurus will never be paired Libra for example.

Anyways, the south node is representative of what you've already worked on in past lives. I am a Pisces south node, which means that I tend toward things like escapism, the arts, emotionality, and generally sort of a structureless way of living. Obviously that is just one way of looking at it. It's the mode of being I've adapted over however many lives. We are good at being "in our south node", naturally.

Our north node, however, is going to be the opposite. It's what we need in order to balance out the south node. My north node is Virgo, which is a very intentional and structured sort of feeling sign. Virgo has is good at establishing boundaries. The complete opposite of Pisces.

The idea is that you adopt the way of being of your north node in order to balance out the already-latent south node. A meeting in the middle, as it were.

As I was learning about these, the phrase "reconciling opposites" came to mind. It sort of feels like that's what the north and south node refer to a little bit. I guess it cleared things up for me, because I was a little stuck on the phrase.

Anyways, does "reconciling opposites" come up in any other metaphysical things that you have explored? I figured I'd put my discovery out there and maybe we can explore ways that other systems look at it Smile

EDIT: The meeting of the masculine and feminine seems to be a sort of reconciliation of opposites. The Fool tarot card, with their androgynous look, seems to carry a similar connotation...
