Among the many simultaneous threads going on here is discussion about The Choice. I inferred from the Material that making that choice (to go STO vs STS) with strong determination makes a difference. So if you made yours that way, then you likely would find good ways to serve no matter your career path.
If you don't recall how you made the choice, or think maybe you didn't yet, I think you can (re-)affirm it now and make it definitive. (This seems like such a good idea, that I'm going to include it in my affirmations. Anyway,) Having made your choice clearly, try to imagine each option with a feeling of the happiness it would give you. If one is ahead of the rest, lean that way, and repeat the process occasionally to make sure.
