I believe events like these may be designed to be a double edged sword of dark and light, on one hand they can produce fear and a sense of deception, on the other hope and a sense of comfort. Why the mixed polarity? Because it's a fair trade for both sides of the coin, one side giving the opportunity to spiral downward, the other side the opportunity for growth, a gamble for 'both sides'. I believe this to a typical challenge archtype.
The actual contents may be irrelevant, or have a hidden code that is beyond interpretation. Either way it's about how you react to it that matters.
