What is shadow work?

I like that explanation. I looked up the word 'inchoate' and one meaning is: just begun and so not fully formed or developed; rudimentary.

So the shadow then can be seen as undeveloped parts of oneself. That's easier for me to grasp than repressed subconscious material, which may be inherited and assimilated through osmosis from society etc.
