No - why 3600 years should not be possible?
Pluto needs 248 years for one orbit.
Have a look at this list of comets.
The comet C/2021 J2 needs 1243.34 years for the orbit.
Here you will find the Oort cloud comet, that has an orbital period of 30 million years.
I would say it is more interesting to ask, if it is possible to survive on a planet that has such an excentric orbit around the sun?
Because you said that the description given in the book matches that of Ra.
The description of Ra was that Maldek was located between Mars and Jupiter, and the current asteroid belt is the remnants of the planet. Mars has an orbit of 687 earth days, Jupiter has one of 4333 earth days. So a 3600 day orbit would put it closer to jupiter but certainly a possibility of the length of year.
A 3600 year orbit is possible, but that would no longer match the description of Ra.
