Your perspective is valid, but I would just offer that it is perhaps more helpful to focus on helping religious people love others rather than seeking a journey to change their opinions on what "the way" is by offering catalyst. One catalyst that is often more effective in encouraging the religious to love is the statement, "I accept you as you are without needing you to change your beliefs or accepting my beliefs." One may consider the mirror between your desire for the religious to change their beliefs and the religious people you interact with who want you to change your beliefs.
