    I think the Egyptian Christians are some of the more interesting types.

    Their language, symbolism, practices, and ethnic identity are said to be the closest to the older Egyptian heritage than any of the other groups in modern Egypt. Judaism is practically extinct in modern Egypt.

    I don't see anything great about Eastern Orthodoxy. That society and attitude led to the Soviet Bloc and many impoverished nations in Eastern Europe separated from the wealthy catholic nations of France, Italy, Spain, Portugal.

    The East-west church schism and the Berlin wall Eastern Bloc look pretty similar on a map.
