Okay...I've experienced both of these situations, so I'll just tell you what helped me.
Remembering...I don't think you can force it. It comes when you are ready. Sometimes there are numerous reasons it would be better for you NOT to remember, either to keep you from becoming so distracted you forget your purpose in THIS life or by ushering in a wave of trauma and confusion that wouldn't be of benefit in your seeking. I tried various meditation techniques and even had a hypnosis session with little luck, but then when I stopped pushing random things would just pop up in my head. Usually the memories I DO get help me to identify issues that have carried over into this life with me so that, with greater understanding of their source, I can resolve them. If you are adamant on uncovering past lives, creating a space in your mind where you can talk to your guides (and getting to know them in the first place) can help. A lot of times I've gotten extensive answers just from asking, and other times they just say "no." I've learned that is something I have to accept. There are some things I just don't need to know right now, no matter how painfully curious I am.
As for psychic greeting (of any type), in my experience the best course of action is to not get worked up and go about your life as normally as possible. Reacting with panic, fear, paranoia or anger only feeds the force causing the attack. Responding with laughter, love, and persisting in living your life tend to weaken the effects. There was a time that I got so obsessed with psychic greeting that I just about lost my mind. I was committed several times due to such incidents, which was not fun. These guys and their last ditch efforts to be a pain in the butt to seekers are not worth that kind of headache. I didn't go to all the trouble of coming here just to be put off by some random weird crap, even if it is highly unusual and bothersome.
Asking for help is a big one, too. For a long time I tried to keep it all inside, both because I thought people would think I was crazy and that I would be a burden to others. However, my spiritual family has provided me with so much love and support. I no longer feel like this is something I have to go alone...it's like there's an entire army at my back. If you ever need to share with someone and no one else is available, feel free to message me. I know what it's like when it feels like you have no one to confide in. Of course, there is a myriad of assistance from our spiritual friends as well. Your guides and angels will swoop to your defense if you but ask for their help. Quo have offered their assistance to me in such times, and I've heard them offer it to others as well. They say that by simply mentally requesting they strengthen your vibration, it will be done. And their energy is just awesome.
I hope this is of some help to you.
