Excuse me Zack but i am not going to read the entire post but i want to say a few things. Yes, the conspiracy you speak of holds some truth to it. And yes, some people want ghaddafi to stay in power. But, please do not forget the grim reality that the Lybian people have been living in for the last 40 years. I have first hand information from friends that live in Lybia. Its like a big mafia controling a country. Whoever speaks against it is dead. Ghaddafi and his family can do what the hell they would ever want.
Please do not be mistaken to believe that ghaddafi is on the "good side" here. Just like in Iraq, the US came in with imperialist interests but that does not mean that saddam was the best leader ever, in fact, it does not mean that he wasnt a fucking murderer. Its exactly the same in Lybia. It is a regieme of terror. The fact that Nato want to play the knight in white armor role, does not make them or ghaddafi's mafia any better.
