Here's my interpretation of the new logo. First, you have to recognize the connection between the logo and George Clooney. As you'll see from this link, the connection is more than random. Note that the name George Clooney and Google are very similar, in fact the name itself actually tells us to look at this logo, because "George Clooney" is an anagram for "eye Google Corn" a clear reference to the corn field depicted in this very logo.
Now that we have firmly established the connection between Mr. Clooney and the logo, let's "walk down the circles" depicted in it. First observe that the "G" is easily mistaken for a "C" (further reinforcing the connection with Clooney through the use of ambiguous letter shaping). Now, if the horizontal line were taken to be the hands of a clock, then it would appear to be 3:45 (obviously a hidden message indicating that the 3rd, 4th and 5th letters contain the "real" message).
With that information gleaned, we can skip the second letter which is apparently a red herring placed to mislead the less insightful viewers, and move straight on to the third letter... the small "o". If we again observe its line as representing the hands of a clock, we read it to be 8:08. Now, a less trained observer might conclude that this is indicating that August 8th of next year is a significant date associated with full disclosure. We however recognize the true significance of the reading as indicating a location rather than a time, due the juxtaposition of this portion of the message with respect to the traditional "where, when, and how" recorded in all ancient folklore and charade games. So then, we must now ask and answer the question: Where is 8, 08? Returning to George Clooney for a moment, we will all recall that in 1988 ('88) Clooney starred in one of his first movies: "Return of the killer tomatoes", which was filmed in a pizza parlor in Chula Vista, CA. So now we know where. Let's move on to when.
The enigmatic "g" now comes to the forefront of our investigation. The real trick to reading crop circles, is knowing how to read between the lines, as it were. At first glance one is struck by how similar this letter is to the symbol for "male", located below the symbol for "female". Could this be an indication that George Clooney is actually an hermaphrodite? Possibly, but again remembering that this symbol should be telling us "when", let's try to read this reference of ambiguity as a time. Doing so, we immediately recall that a great deal of public attention has recently been cast toward the embattled (and hermaphroditic) South African athlete Caster Semenya, and speculation as to whether or not she will be allowed to compete in the 2012 Olympic games. We can clearly conclude that the date will be in conjunction with some Olympic games. Returning now, to the trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of George Clooney's new movie referred to in the prior link (Men who stare at goats... that's really the name, I'm not making this up), we learn that it is scheduled for release in 2010, which indicates the Vancouver Olympic games of 2010, to be held between February 12 and 28 of 2010.
Okay, so we know that the disclosure will be made in Chula Vista, CA sometime during the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC. Now we move onward to most subtle clue of all: "HOW". First, we should note, the the "l" in the Google logo has been claimed to be missing (as a matter of fact, if one stores down the gif, one can see that the image is called "goog_e", as though the l were indeed missing).
