In January 1986 I became a single Mom. I knew I didn't want to be a single Mom with a 9 year old son for very long! Since I was journaling at the time and in my journal wrote a detailed letter to Creator asking for my perfect partner, even giving the sign that would let me know he was THE one (he would send me two roses).
In July that year I met a hunk of a guy! We made a date, he stood me up. That Monday a flower delivery guy brought me a small potted plant with an apology, and with two roses stuck in it. Seems the hunk of a guy had tried to have just the plant delivered, but they told him that there was a minimum purchase required. So he told them, "Here's your minimum. Just add what you think would be nice make it equal out."
We married in 1990, and my son calls him Dad.
