i could use a breather right now but i guess it's a ways away. 
if you worry about housing, may i suggest building some cob houses. it's more environmentally friendly and if everyone builds them together you'd get a pretty good deal. much cheaper. the houses are also very pretty. although you gotta get building permissions and buy land. but that's it. then everyone can learn to build houses. also if there's a catastrophe it's good to have skills so we can help others and build ourself houses wherever we go.
