Hey Zack!
There can be many belief systems within you that are causing this radical feedback. I have seen this several times - I have been personally down on the road of University+Alcohol+Issues -> running away from problems side, I have seen a good friend of mine get very, very ill because she did not really want to do that kind of school anymore, and I have seen many others pop issues up seemingly from "nowhere" right after university.
Now that you have estabilished that something is definitely going on with you, what you need to determine is this:
-Is this the drastic, sudden change in your lifestyle? Being resistant to change is usually one of the main reasons for a series of illnesses or allergies. Did you move to a new place, or get a new wakeup schedule going on? Do you stress a lot in the classes, do you exercise a lot?
I am asking the last part because when I moved to math uni, my mind was literally incapable of understanding high level math, sometimes 8 hours a day, coming from a mid school that was not really heavy on math classes, and I did not prepare mentally. It took me a dropout and several retries to be able to listen for heavy math for hours, every day, all week. (And still I dropped out recently, but not because I do not love math, hehe
)
-Do you feel a need to keep drinking alcohol, or do you simply do it because your new friends to it constantly, and you want to keep up? Alcohol is really not good for your system, as all it does is weakening it, weakening it, destroying cells. It is a very strong catalyst, especially combined with other factors.
