I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Radiohead yet. For me they seemed to perfectly capture, and also sort of predict, the emotional state of the planet in the last 10 years- starting with Kid A, which had this mysterious sense of anxiety running through it. In Rainbows, the latest from 2007, is like the light at the end of the tunnel, you feel in that album that everything's shifted towards hope, and that love will prevail. Ex- the lyrics in "Reckoner": "because we separate like ripples on a blank shore, in rainbows." Idunno- I think their words now are so full of spiritual and emotional depth. If you were to listen to Kid A- Amnesiac- Hail to the Thief- In Rainbows, in order, you'd get a nice picture of the collective dark night, leading to a breakthrough into 4d consciousness.
When I saw them in concert 2 summers ago, it was truly a 4d experience. I think music and art is where you see leaks of this new consciousness most clearly.
I also have to second whoever mentioned Blackalicious. The lyrics on the album "Blazing Arrow" will blow your mind. That s***'s deep!
Also, regardless of the particular artist, listening to music on high-quality speakers or headphones, on vinyl or cd rather than mp3 or youtube, can be mind-expanding, especially if you're not used to it. So much more detailed, and spacious, and smooth.
So there are my 2 or 3 cents.
