I had a dream where "I" was explainign to myself how exactly those things that are unconscious remain so..how the subconscious mind does this. Then it progressed to a situation where I (learning) had the realisation of exactly how the conscious mind, call upon or is a construction of those things the unconscious has within it.

In the dream, it was actually very clear. It was visually related, i could see how imagery was emphasised and de-emphasised by an overlayed image...i got the sense that the overlayed image was the conscious story or way was the selector for the images "underneath", which had a life or story of their own.

Shortly after i woke i forget everything about the exact mechanics of this process...was frustrating.

Does anyone have recommendations on how induce a re-explanation or repeat if this?

Or generally how to take a question into a dream..and remember the answer!
