Actually, Meerie, that is not very difficult to understand at all.

When a man talks to a beautiful woman by whom he is smitten, time really slows down. Three hours may seem like just three seconds while the interaction is going on. However, even three nanoseconds of one's hand on a hot stove feels like eternity! :p

See, it is very commonsensical. Probably, all of spirituality and enlightenment is like that. Very commonsensical and simple! But we do not want it that way, do we?

Confused - again, I think you're on to something profound here. I have touched on this concept before, but didn't pursue it because I didn't feel anyone here would really understand it. But I believe that you are right on the money. Spirit/LOVE really is very simple, and we only make it complex to keep ourselves busy.
