Only If Love Should Pierce You

Do not forget that you live in the midst of the animals,
horses, cats, sewer rats
brown as Solomon's woman, terrible
camp with colours flying,
do not forget the dog with harmonies of the unreal
in tongue and tail, nor the green lizard, the blackbird,
the nightingale, viper, drone. Or you are pleased to think
that you live among pure men and virtuous
women who do not touch
the howl of the frog in love, green
as the greenest branch of the blood.
Birds watch you from trees, and the leaves
are aware that the Mind is dead
forever, its remnant savours of burnt
cartilage, rotten plastic; do not forget
to be animal, fit and sinuous,
torrid in violence, wanting everything here
on earth, before the final cry
when the body is cadence of shrivelled memories

Strong Light
When the light is too strong
It exposes my emptiness
My hollowness
My longing for something
For something more
My pining
My waiting
My distracting
The thinness of my will to carry on
Can I ever truly know why I took this challenge upon myself?
Could I have experienced a different life?
What end does any type of life serve?
I once sought to appease my desire for coping - in solitude
Recently I depend more on others for that most essential of crutches
The crutches we all limp with, some faster than others
Towards a finish line that is as blurry as our starting point
Towards the unknown
I'd ask for someone's help if I believed my hollowness could ever be filled
I pursue my theories to some avail
They provide me with just enough relinquishment of suffering for me to start another project
And it begins again
And again
And again
The strong light is always shining, but is only let into my sight once in a while
Perhaps when I need a push froward
Perhaps randomly
Should I continue onwards?
I most likely will
But it will never change these emotions I feel
Or are they shells of emotions?
I asked her if she wants someone to understand her the way I look for the same
I anxiously await her response
Why?
Leave me alone conscience

If this life is to end anyways then why torture me in between?
Can it truly be worth it?
How can I know if there's any point to this at all?
What do I endure for?
When what I long for is never within my reach

They may be cooled more often now than before
But am I any less fake?
Is my life not just as much of a lie now as it was years ago?
The neccessities of life as a human prove too daunting for me

I relate more to Dexter than to anyone I know
Except for maybe her
She who doesn't even want to meet me, for reasons I do not comprehend

A traveler in the desert walking towards an oasis which only exists within in my mind?
Was the double meaning of my last line a sign to me?
Who knows.

I don't see this as depressing at all. Rather it is to me a beautiful exspresion of creative energy(for me at least, this is my first "poem", I've done hiqus(sp?) before but this feels more poemy to me)


The World Has Ended-random poem that jumped to my mind :-)

The World Has Ended, the clouds are blue and the skies are brown, everything I once knew is upside down, when you walk from here to there, you do so now,without air, The sun burns pink, the stars glow a merry red, soon I fear, I'll be dead.

Sitting here in this cave, starring out at the worldly grave,wishing now that I was dead, for the things I would do,to get a nice warm bed.

Late in coming it will be, the key to salvation cometh to me, like a great heart it approaches, majestic and bright it encroaches, the end has come, put down the drum,accept your fate,to dine with death, the final escape.

Riddled I yearn for the mystery
it speaks with silence and absence
it is its nature for I cannot concieve it
Any notion of progress is deceit

It's not a happy kind of poem, but it expresses the rather unpleasant nature of seeking.

i was walking down the street

or was i lying in my bed

when i looked down at my feet

and what did i see, well it was a great ball of love

smiling back at me

now much to my suprise

and this im telling u is definitely not a lie

my great ball of love jumped up into my arms

let me tell u what a thrill what a thrill it

just gave me chills

as my great ball of love penetrated every little

teeny weeny bit of my body

every cell and every thought

i started hugging people like crazy

and they started hugging me back

no one wanted to work or anything like that

why work when u can love sure makes sense to me

it was infectious, we were all infected by that great ball of love

soldiers put down their weapons

bankers stopped their foreclosures

the prisons threw open their doors

and the door to every house

and every heart on the planet

was thrown wide open

and a big big welcome sign was placed there

living like this is fun

Hear ye now of the mystery of nature,
the relations of life to the Earth where it dwells.
Know ye, ye are threefold in nature,
physical, astral and mental in one.

Three are the qualities of each of the natures;

I almost fell into the water cuz there was such a magnetic attraction between she and I
and I could distinctly hear lovely female voices in the murmur of the river

Mind Wanting More

Only a beige slat of sun
above the horizon, like a shade pulled
not quite down. Otherwise,
clouds. Sea rippled here and
there. Birds reluctant to fly.
The mind wants a shaft of sun to
stir the grey porridge of clouds,
an osprey to stitch sea to sky
with its barred wings, some dramatic
music: a symphony, perhaps
a Chinese gong.

But the mind always
wants more than it has --
one more bright day of sun,
one more clear night in bed
with the moon; one more hour
to get the words right; one
more chance for the heart in hiding
to emerge from its thicket
in dried grasses -- as if this quiet day
