I think I need to clarify what I said earlier. Holding a clear vision of the essence of the desired mate, ie. qualities such as aspiring to a spiritual path, having an open heart, or at least being ready to open their heart, having good communication skills or at least ready to develop them, being well-matched to ourselves in terms of strength of mind and spirit, and most importantly, having those qualities which will bring out the best qualities in ourselves, for a mutually satisfying relationship leading to strong spiritual evolution for BOTH partners, is all good. Yes, absolutely, hold that vision!

When I said I didn't recommend having specific criteria, I wasn't referring to those sorts of things. Those are all attributes, and it's not only acceptable, in my opinion, but advisable to focus on attracting those attributes.

Rather, what I was referring to earlier by "specific criteria" was superficial stuff like color of hair, style of clothing, height, weight, race, taste in books, movies, music or other recreation, or even choice of spiritual path. All those are, in my opinion, superficial and can get in the way of attracting the qualities that are truly important.

Even choice of spiritual path can be a superficial attachment. Suppose one is a Buddhist and has the criteria of attracting a Buddhist mate. But what if their ideal mate is a Pagan, and they are each able to offer to the other what the other needs for balanced perspective?

What if, for example, the ideal mate is someone who is in the process of expanding their knowledge of Law of One concepts, but has never actually heard of Ra or the Law of One books? I have often told the story of a friend of mine who is a Bible-believing Christian, but NOT an evangelical Christian; rather, he is a Universalist Christian, which is a relatively new denomination that believes in the 'salvation' of ALL, eventually. Their beliefs are so radical to conventional Christianity that they're considered a cult by them.

But this young man, in my estimation, understood the concepts of the Law of One perhaps better than anyone I'd ever met. My speculation is that he is a Wanderer, who chose to incarnate in the Christian community, in order to reach out to those who are ready to advance their thinking. He is able to do that by using the Bible as a template, or oracle, in much the same way as we might use the Tarot.

I'm just using him as an example of someone who, at first glance, might not fit the criteria of being a Law of One student, but who could possibly be a very stimulating and even formidable partner for some young woman who is a Law of One student. I knew him only by email correspondence, and he's young enough to be my son, but I was astounded at the depth of his understanding! I offer this as an illustration of what I mean by some people not seeming to meet the criteria, but actually offering gifts that one might not have even considered.

Yes, I agree with you. There is one quote in the material which makes me shiver when I read it:

Ra, 84:11 Wrote:The crystallized centers may become quite remarkable in the high voltage characteristics of the energy transfer as it reaches green ray and indeed as green ray is crystallized this also applies to the higher energy centers until such energy transfers become an honestation* for the Creator.

Although they speak of sexual energy transfer, they are still talking about the crystallization of the green center. And that word... *honestation*... for the Creator.... Ah.... Who would care how this person looks like, or what books he does or does not study, as long as you love this enitity to the point of honestation, right?

But it would be nice with a Law of One student, as I have quite social work and life (or well more or less at least), but I meet a lot of people, and most of these conversations, are all about third density life. It would be nice for a change to have someone, and especially a mate, with whom I could speak about stuff like this, and who would "get me" so to speak. With that said, you are right. It's probably all details which shouldn't be important. =)

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention that the "Criteria list" was a joke. : )

    Exactly!

Well I don't think it's 'criteria' at all to want someone who is a Law of One Student. I think your mate likely is a Law of One student.

My point is that he might be a Law of One student and not realize it...might never have heard of Ra or the books...might have a label of 'Buddhist' or 'Pagan' or even 'Christian' and still be a Law of One student.

I'm referring to the Law of One, not the books entitled The Law of One.

There is information that states that our split-Soul-halves are created to find each other again. In the 7th density we each become one with the creator but in the 22nd we join together AS one with the creator. Does Ra or Quo mention that. I haven't seen anything yet about densities past the 6th.

I went to a talk recently about the inner earth realm, I think that is the Lemurians and much came up regarding the intentions and processes of splitting souls.

If this exists it would be my guess that the challenge would be to accept each self so much that one is able to polarize the spirit-physical form and physical-spirit in each other. A cross polarization relationship in both your physical selves and spirit body selves. I can't conceive beyond that for now. There must be unimaginably more if there are already 22 densities created.

Mexican author Laura Esquivel, who wrote Like Water for Chocolate (which was made into a movie), also wrote a story called The Law of Love. Here is a summary from a website:

The Law of Love mixes science fiction and magic realism with a sprinkling of New Age philosophy as it tells the story of Azucena, an astroanalyst in twenty-third-century Mexico City. Throughout the novel Azucena tries to help others as well as herself to remember and cope with their past lives. Along the way, she struggles to escape villains who threaten world peace and to reunite with her "twin soul'' Rodrigo. Her multimedia story, interspersed with color illustrations by Spanish artist Miguelano Prado and poetry and accompanied by a CD that contains arias by Puccini and Mexican danzones, ultimately asserts the unifying power of love.

I don't remember enjoying the prose, but I was very impacted by the message--you have to have many "practice" relationships before you are ready for your other half.

(confusing terminology abounds--I think of soulmates, plural, people you've been close to and who have been with you life after life--my mother and I could be soulmates; and I learned twin flame from a channel who said there is only one, typically of the opposing gender. Your soul splits apart to have a greater variety of experience, and ultimately, like the creator, it will come back together to experience itself more fully--but before the parts have worked through their issues, it may only see it's own faults reflected back when it looks at its twin...not fun...).

awww it's a natural desire to be with someone who we are very "attracted to" is that what you meant?

I have been around guys who are aesthetically appealing that I have ZERO attraction to and around others who are considered to be Not aesthetically good-looking that I'm wildly attractive to.

no i'm saying don't assume you understand how someone else experiences the world and what their values are worth.
to me someone is hot, or attractive when i see their soul shining through. but that doesn't mean i can't accept someone having more body specific expectations. that might be just as valid for them.

I love that movie! It's one of my favorite movies of all time! I love all the sensuality and feelings that get expressed back in the food. I love playing with food, so and that heightened sensuality mixed with the longing lovers theme in the movie.

And "Chocolat" another gem of a movie for foodies like me.

The twin mirror, truly a dreadful experience! I don't wish it on any one!!

Fortunately if split-halves exists, mine appears to have been from his spirit-body to my physical-self and so survived. Had it been in physical to physical in this time/space I'm sure we would both have killed each other by now.
