Confused, earlier today I had an experience of no desire for a few moments. Have you ever experienced that, where you feel everything is ok. It's profoundly different from a typical knowing that everything is ok.

Hello, GW, before attempting to comment on that, I would like to ask you your thoughts about desire. Do you think to desire is undesirable?

I have touched on this concept before, but didn't pursue it because I didn't feel anyone here would really understand it.

On a more serious note, Ruth, I think it has got to do with the polarized basis of our octave of creation. The basis of our current illusion is polarity. In other words, everything has been designed in such a way to accentuate the illusory miasma of separation (or individuality, if you will), in order to accelerate, intensify and magnify the act of individual and collective evolution. To strengthen the coordinates of separation, it becomes necessary to veil (or deny) the identical other-self nature of everything around us, for otherwise the very act of moment to moment living will come undone.

It is as if the One Infinite Creator wants us to be busy so that we can realize that we need not be busy in order to be cozy. What was the One Infinite Creator smoking?!

I think desire can have a spiritual basis. If there is something we really desire, there could be a spiritual reason behind it. For instance, my fascination with anthros (particularly anthro wolves). I feel a connection with them. And it is something I desire greatly. Sometimes I obscess about it. At times anthros are all I really think about.

But that's how Law of Attraction is supposed to work. You focus on what you desire. And then, you let it go.

I get excited when talking about it, because I thinik if it really works, and if anything is possible, then I can attract my greatest dream.

I don't know how long it will take. But I'm ok even if it's after I've died. I'm willing to spend my whole life seeking if that's what it takes.

But I don't go about it with that mindset. I'm going to probably start scrapbooking or something to help me visualize more strongly my desire. And I am passionate about my desire. Probably moreso than most people who aren't even sure what they want.

But that state of no desire was an interesting experience to have because I didn't have to worry about whether or not I will achive my dream. I trust the Universe, and that my dreams are out there, and that I am worthy enough to receive them. The guy said it's the law, just as if you throw a baseball in the air, it will fall down.

Though honestly I sometimes think the phrase "be careful what you wish for. You just might get it." is overrrated. I'd love for the Universe to prove me wrong there.

GW, thanks for a very interesting post. Often, in spiritual circles, desires seem to have a very bad press. However, I think desire is at the core of all of infinite creation itself. What is infinite creation but the desire of the infinite mind to know and experience itself?

Desires can either edify and build one, or get into a self-destructive mechanism. As with most things, the power of desire is neutral. However, its effects upon individuals depend on the content, purpose and purity of the focus of the desires, I think.

Desires are driving forces that comes in through red ray, through the root chakra. They generate experience. Which experience is up to us, depending on which of our energy center will be used to process it.

I think it is a good and a constructive example of a desire, which is shared by most of humanity.

Folks, I think it would be wonderful if we can all participate in a word of prayer for the wonderful individual, Malala Yousufzai, a Pakistani 14-year-old girl, who was shot for her courageous human rights campaign in her country.

New reports say that Malala was just 11 years old when she began her brave human rights struggle in a very hostile and difficult environment. She has galvanized an entire nation now and her compatriots and people from many parts of the world are unified in praying for her quick recovery. I drop in my portion in that vast ocean of well-wishes as well.

Procrastinating deals with time, putting off stuff you don't wanna deal with.
