List Of Companies Against GMO Labeling - Prop 37 California Right To Know Act

"listed companies who are campaigning to DENY you the right to know if GMOs are in your food – Soon Prop37 (the California Right to Know Act, a.k.a. Label GMO) an important law will be up for a vote. On the national level HR 3553, the Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act and HR 3554, the Genetically Engineered Safety Act is scheduled for debate and a vote. "
    http://www.dailypaul.com/256053/list-of-...o-know-act

If companies on this list are indeed against the labeling, I'll boycott.

Out of all those brands, the only one which has entered my home in the last year was Beach Cliff sardines. And even that was over several months ago.

You might also be interested and/or surprised to know that the primary faculty I used to discern which brands to purchase was intuition.

Also- Horizon Organics is listed under both Dean Foods and Land O' Lakes. But that was the only error I could find.

I am not surprised at all. Anyone that uses the intuition with consciousness will eventually develop skill at discernment. Can actually go to the level of 'gnosis' which sees how the ingredients were formed. All of the information is there. Our being and attitude which lacks acceptance is what causes the separation.

Do you have experience with or know someone who can do that?

I know people who have that particular ability and it had been explained to me. Haven't really investigated it. Apparently, it's not that uncommon for those that pursue consciousness.

They are 2 I know of both older, both healers. One, a relative of mine, is a "herbal healing practitioner" (English translation). She uses her senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, taste) and sleep time to learn about the plants/foods.

They were both spiritual adepts with many years of learning/practicing.

    Unrelated...
I also knew one healer who said he barely ate food because it was "toxic" for him. He looked quite plump to me. lol

Folks, you may also do as I and some others here do: grow your own.

It's late in the season, but I am still harvesting peppers, basil and raspberries, and have various salad greens, kale, collards, spinach, turnips, onions and daikon radishes coming up now for fall crops. The kale, spinach, and collards will overwinter and provide me with early spring vegetables. Cool

If I grew my own my dogs would tear up the garden. The ground is hard so building a fence would be difficult.

Icaro - You are very welcome. Sounds like an interesting book there.

I really like the idea about growing. Was thinking about gathering different kinds seeds, at least, before I could figure out how to use a shovel.

Anybody grow their own food in urban areas? In their homes?

The lamp idea would be great if electricity were free.

Quote:Negative Report on GM Crops Shakes Government's Food Agenda

Sounding what some regard as the death knell for the development of genetically modified food crops in India, a high-profile parliamentary panel last week recommended that GM crop "field trials under any garb should be discontinued forthwith," and that agricultural GM research should "only be done under strict containment." If implemented, the report's recommendations would paralyze research and erode India's food security, warns India's chief of crop research.

If all food sources became GMO, that would mean that all food was patented.

They would not need to manipulate any type of food shortage, they could just manipulate the price of food so that only the rich can afford to buy.

This is on top of the attempts at controlling your DNA evolution.

    Water will be next.

when, and who can we thank for this? Or do you mean it's something you believe or hope will eventually be provided by someone?

Couldn't you just build your own AC motors and make your own electricity? It would cost something at first but be way cheaper in the long run right? Or am I just way off?

Eddie - I wish you lived near enough that I could come let you mentor me on fall/winter gardening. I'm learning, but doing it by reading and trial and error takes so much longer than having a mentor.

Rie - come visit next spring. I'll teach you how to garden without a shovel. This is my favorite tool! I'm using it today, as a matter of fact! http://www.gardenweasel.com/weasel_produ..._claw.aspx

I also grow a few things indoors using a grow light. I'm buying electricity anyway - and for some reason I don't think burning a grow light or two (they are fluorescent) uses nearly as much electricity as is used by people who have computers turned on so they can surf the internet all day and night.

Pickle - I completely agree with you about GMO.

I'm going back outside to use my claw!

You're not way off. However, you'd need a (local) power source to drive the motor. It just so happens that for 99.999% of people, the "long run" is not worth it compared to price per watt.

I was under the impression that the problem wasn't with generation of clean energy, but in the transportation of it. Unfortunately, the man who was a pioneer in wireless power transfer over a century ago got his funding pulled, and it has taken us this long to pick up where he left off. Luckily, new materials may allow us to do this at significantly less cost.

    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/201...192758.htm

Quote:ScienceDaily (Mar. 12, 2012) — More than one hundred years after the pioneering inventor Nikola Tesla first became fascinated with wireless energy transfer, the spread of mobile electronic devices has sparked renewed interest in the ability to power up without plugging in. Now researchers from Duke University in Durham, N.C., and the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories in Cambridge, Mass., have proposed a way to enhance the efficiency of wireless power transfer systems by incorporating a lens made from a new class of artificial materials.

California did not pass Proposition 37 to require GMO foods to be labeled... I guess people were not satisfied with how it was written and how politicians insert senseless things inside the bill for their lobbyists.
