Oh, would be lovely to read, thank you! Is she intending (and permitted) to do something with the information, will it be published somewhere...?

Got only one today - I haven't gotten to check any deliberately more positive news sources in ages... sadly!

John Francis, environmentalist, took on a 17 year vow of silence to learn to better listen to his opponents. He recently broke it because he discovered that, beyond preserving nature, how we treat each other is fundamental.

Quote:Over the previous 6,205 days, Francis says he learned that humans were as important a part of the environment as the nature that surrounds them. For him, the environment changed from being about loss of species, and habitat and pollution, to also include people and how we treat each other. But, Francis says no one really talked about that when we talked about 'the environment.' So, he decided he needed to speak out about how issues like human rights, civil rights, gender equality, economic equity factor into the environment as well.

"How we treat each other was like our first opportunity to treat the environment in a sustainable way or even figure out what we mean when we talk about sustainability," says Francis

"When Phoenix dropped off her first rescue horse at Pierce College on Thursday night, the shelter was nearing capacity. Soon it was overflowing with more than 250 rescue animals, Clay told Earther. In the days since the fire flared up many folks have taken their animals home, but as of yesterday morning, there were still 153 horses and 20 mini horses, along with donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, and tortoises. The nearby Hansen Dam Equestrian Center, also a designated shelter, was similarly slammed." https://earther.gizmodo.com/meet-the-her...1830404767

    >Shaded areas were 328 percent more water efficient, and maintained higher soil moisture throughout the heat of summer. That led to twice as much grass under the arrays as in the unshaded areas. The plants also had more nutritional value. And the researchers also found a 90 percent increase in late-season plant mass in areas under PV panels." http://www.anthropocenemagazine.org/2018...-farmland/
