    Hi everyone Smile

I have a question and would love if someone could help me find answers to it Smile

I am a person that somehow doesn't like to be with the masses. It doesn't feel good for me to have the same opinion as the majority has or do what most people do. I tend to avoid groups and rather go my own way. On the other side I love to help other people and would consider myself to be quite empathic and understanding for others but I feel more comfortable being alone mostly.

The question at that point is, what does that tell about me? Am I on the path back to orange ray away from green ray or is there something else to consider perhaps? Could it "only" be blockages that I need to dissolve or could it be something that is part of my being somehow?

Thank you very much for your help!! Smile

    Soeren

I'd say it's a compliment to your self as you are comfortable with yourself rather than other selves who depend on social interaction to make up for their lack of self love. I'd be surprised if many here don't feel the same way as you as it seems most wanderers and followers of thus material see that the world isn't quite "right".

As long as your solitude isn't due to purposely shielding yourself out of being judged or some other lack of acceptance and the like, I'd say you're doing perfectly fine. Many empaths and introverts need that recharge of solitude as social settings can be quite draining. That's why we try to go camping and hiking as much as our finances will allow.

As long as you still retain the empathy and desire to serve other selves, I wouldn't be worried one bitSmile

Great responses from jeremy and agua

I don't think this is a question that anyone here can answer for you...... though I will say that i don't think enjoying alone time is necessarily indicative of any one attitude/quality of character/etc..... so... that's something you have to answer for yourself. Why do you enjoying spending time alone?

there have certainly been periods in my life where I sought out alone time intensely. over time, it became clear to me that I was not coming from a place of acceptance/understanding, and really I was just avoiding certain situations/relationships. so, personally, that told me that i was rejecting experiences because i was fearful, or what-have-you. i wasn't coming from a positive place, lets say

on the other side of the coin, i do tend to "take in" people's energies intensely at times (i wouldnt call this a character trait, i feel its almost a boundary issue on my end), which results in me ending up drained and needed time alone to recoup. so, in that scenario, it's something more of a "positive" thing...

I guess my point is, it really depends on where you're coming from. I love spending time alone to do "me" things.... meditating, making art, reading.... though at times, i have sought it out for all the wrong reasons (avoidance and such)

so yeah, I don't think you liking to spend time alone says anything about you on the surface, it's more a question of why you like doing that.... Smile

    also, welcome

Quote:The quickest way to learn is to deal with other-selves. This is a much greater catalyst than dealing with the self. Dealing with the self without other-selves is akin to living without what you would call mirrors. Thus, the self cannot see the fruits of its beingness. Thus, each may aid each by reflection.

I think people are very boring and shallow. No matter what tribe/ethnicity/religion/orientation they're still just people, never more perfect versions of people. That doesn't change my view of a universal loving energy being ever-present.
edit: I say this because I relate

Navaratna, what does that have to do with what SoerenR is asking?

perhaps it would be beneficial to start a thread containing these thoughts of yours rather than posting them on other's threads.... just a thought.... your comments never seem to pertain to the original post... just sayin'

    be well

I also don't really enjoy crowds, an introvert often times would share the same attitudes I have

Thank you for all of your answers!!! Smile They were very enlightening to me! Seems that I am not alone with being alone Wink

I will definitely dive into the deeper questions in meditation as there is some barrier sometimes when I'm around people, which could definitely be a lack of acceptance. I don't think it has to do with me liking to be alone, that is not uncomfortable in itself, it was just uncomfortable for me to not know if I am heading in the wrong direction.

Thank you all for your help Smile

when meditating I suggest you try to focus on an object with energetic properties, such as a candle flame, a body of water, or a magnetic stone such as lodestone to drain away hostility you may have accumulated intentionally or unintentionally. from stress or people around you.

I think reading about these kinds of things-- botany, minerals, mythology/religions, astrology has ultimately paid off. I'd be busy if it weren't for plague.

    Ask me anything

You want to attract money? Get a nicely shaped green tourmaline [a.k.a. verdelite crystal]
You want to feel like there's an alien entity from outer space with hypervibratory properties in your hand? Get a pallasite crystal meteorite.

Right now I'm contemplating how to get enough food to last for a few years sheltered near abandoned copper mine, protected from clownvirus by the oligodynamic properties of the ample supply of copper dust I'll be surrounded by. Especially once the infected outsiders try to come near me to steal my food as a result of the global shortage.
    Just kidding. sort of. Wink

I to much prefer being alone, I started in my early twenties to eliminate excess from my the life, the 1st thing I eliminated was alchohol and I felt a leap in my consciousness, from their I distanced myself from one neg influence after another and continued to feel better and have more success in life.
I did for for 25 to 30 years and felt felt best I had felt in my life, about 3 years ago I was also concerned I was moving in a sts direction. I tried to step out much more and live a more "regular life" I had mixed to mostly negative results and in last year I again been simplifing my life and am improving again.
I see now I give better service this way because when I do interact with people Im much more positive, have more clarity and have a better energy in my interactions.

    Hi fellow seekers Smile

after your recent answers I started listening more to how my feelings connect with the seperate chakras and I found that the seperation from others, wanting to be alone is indeed coming from a a lot of blockages in the chakras. Admitting this to myself and to you right now just leaves me in tears as I'm writing it. I guess becoming aware of it is the first step towards healing Smile

I am practicing acceptance in everyday situations but I get the impression that deep down there is more that has to be faced and truly accepted. I feel a lot of pressure in my solar plexus and heart chakra quite often, sometimes even in the sacral chakra.

My question is how do I approach all these blockages, how do I face these emotions, get deep down into them and accept them? It seems I am mostly only scratching the surface when trying to meditate. Often when I start something immediately puts pressure on my solar plexus or heart chakra leaving me unable to stay focused or calm. Has anyone experienced something similar and could point me in the right direction? Smile

Thank you all very much!!! Smile

    Greetings SoerenR,

    Welcome to the forum.

I haven't got any specific personal advice for you, but I would point you to one of Carla's books: "Living The Law of One 101: The Choice", which gives a chakra-by-chakra overview and how they relate to the Human experience.

I assume that this may be of some help to you at this point.

One great thing I've used in the past during meditation is forgiving myself and others. By accepting what you've discovered about yourself then forgiving yourself, you allow the healing and balancing to occur. You can choose to say it in your head or say it aloud after settling in to your meditation. If you find that there is some sort of specific incident that happened in the past that caused these feelings, forgive the other self or selves and thank them for the chance to give you the chance to see in yourself what needs be corrected. If there isn't, simply thanking your higher self and guides can do wonders as well. Basically, forgiveness, acceptance, and giving thanks can do wonders if they are from the heart.

    welcome here, SoerenR Wink

If you start to shed tears I wouldn't worry too much about issues clearing up, if I were you, and as fellows said above, gently taking the time to forgive deeply yourself is one of the best advices !

    Safe journey Heart

It might indicate that you have a nisus to seek within, do dive within you for something.

    There are sensible differences between:
    • rational inclinations/aversions;
    • emotional inclinations/aversions;
    • spiritual inclinations/aversions;
I would suggest to you: study yourself well enough to distinguish well enough these three impulses.

I think of a lot of self-help books that I've seen the covers of and I can't help but roll my eyes over even just the thought of them.

In my opinion it is simple.

Human health depends entirely on homeostasis
    homeostasis is equilibrium
    equilibrium is achieved through meditation

Having to be prescribed meds in pill form or reading books written by spiritually empty people to figure out what is wrong with or how to fix oneself through reading just sounds like a very large serious case of autism to me.

Law of One is different because it describes meditation and tells you about things like pyramids, diamonds, and rubies to realign your inner and outer light.

    This might be relevant:

Quote:We have, many times now, spoken about the relative importance of balancing as opposed to the relative unimportance of maximal activation of each energy center (...). Thusly the entity is concerned, if it be upon the path of positive harvestability, with the regularizing of the various energies of experience. Thus the most fragile entity may be more balanced than one with extreme energy and activity in service to others due to the fastidiousness with which the will is focused upon the use of experience in knowing the self.
