A little while ago, I was watching a TV program. It ended at 1:00PM. I went into the laundry room to re-start the dryer, and noticed that the digital time readout on the dryer said 54 minutes (normal dryer time cycle). I went out of the laundry room and into the family room, did something that took about 10 seconds, and went back in. The dryer digital time readout said 38 minutes, which I thought odd. Then, I went out to the garage to change a light bulb--which I did--and then got another fresh one to change out another dead bulb, which I did; and I went back into the laundry room, and noticed that the time on the dryer said 8 minutes. I went into the family room, and looked at the clock on the VCR, and it said 1:32PM.

Now, this entire sequence of events couldn't possibly have taken more than 4 minutes; probably less. So I have about a half hour that just vanished. Huh

    Where did it go?

    1. A tired body/mind can get distracted with a long train of thought, without you really noticing
    2. You were visiting another realm within your own consciousness
    3. You were taken 'on board a UFO' (which is also within your own consciousness)

The odd thing is that the times to not match. 32 minutes via the VCR, and 46 minutes via the dryer. These should be equal, regardless of the above :¬)

I wasn't tired or distracted; and it was all seamless.

I'd say it could be any number of things as well. I'd be rooting for getting pulled onto a UFO...I've been trying to get them to take me for ages now. Lol.

You've got what a middle-aged friend of mine calls "sometimers" (which is better than "Alzheimers")

Can you clarify both clocks working properly?

If so, perhaps consider having a regression - you might be surprised :¬)

Well, we've never had a malfunction of either. Note, though, that the clocks did not agree as to the amount of elapsed time. That just makes it stranger.

I've experience something almost opposite of this. I experienced about a 5 minute period in a matter of seconds. It was almost like being displaced in space/time.

An idea some outer guide channels talk about is time becoming more "slippery" at this point in our consciousness evolution.

I find the oddest thing about your story to be the fact that the two clocks didn't agree on how much time passed, especially if neither of them is broken. Was time displaced at different speeds throughout your house for some reason? That's crazy/awesome.

except that it just possibly is a difference in between settings, adjustments in between the clocks or some malfunction of either one.

that happens to me too, sometimes i keep glancing at the clock and it's the same time it was 5 minutes ago, and i rub my eyes and think i must have something in my eyes. also sometimes it appears to be less than before. but since i'm always fuzzy-headed it might be my own error.

True, but if this is the ONLY time that the clock has malfunctioned or functioned differently (as he has said, I have no reason to disbelieve him), at the same time he experienced time loss in his own perception, that is a coincidence that can't be ignored. Maybe it was a malfunction...how did the clock fix it self? Why did it never happen before this? Why hasn't it happened again? And why did it happen at the same time he experienced his own "malfunction?"

Your theories make much more sense then some crazy time displacement throughout his house, but one of the first things most people learn when getting into metaphysics is not to ignore "coincidence." Saying it was a malfunction or something of the such, if the only time it has ever happened was when he experienced time loss, it is something to contemplate. It could be a message from higher guidance telling him not to ignore this experience.

it can be a solar wind hitting earth or a magnetic flux due to any kind of situation causing it.

Could something like this also possibly alter his conscious perception of time? That would be a closed case.

surely it could. in the end everything is comprised of energy. not to mention brain activity is also electromagnetic.

time perception already gets altered in many situations. think - there are a lot of cases in which time seems to stop. and there are cases in which it seems to have flown by. in the earlier, you are able to squeeze a lot of thoughts and emotions into that short duration, in the latter, you are not able to.

time is perception, so of course it can be altered.

Of course, but I was referring to the events unity described which may have also caused the clocks in his house to malfunction. We experience altered perception of time constantly, whether we're enjoying what we're doing or dreading it. But these are all within your own consciousness.

If these outside phenomena can cause an increased distortion in the perception of time, it might explain why the OP feels he lost a significant amount of time, experiencing events that should have taken 4 minutes as taking closer to upwards of 30 minutes. This is not necessarily a normal distortion of time perception, as far as I'm aware, regarding the circumstances.

Unity's point that brain activity is electromagnetic is useful in determining if outside sources could unknowingly effect time perception.

Slippery is a way to describe it for sure. You kind of slide into "extra time". I think it is more like experiencing multiple time lines in the same consciousness. The timeline your body is rooted in fades out and slips away. When you "return" its hard to sayha time passed.
