My favorite spiritual album is from the band Live and is called "The Distance to Here".

Favorite song, which produced a religious experience upon first listen, and outpourings of deep wells of emotion upon subsequent listens, is Dave Matthew's Band "Bartender" on the Live at Folsom Field album. I've never been so moved to tears through music than I have when listening to this song. I play it only sparingly so as not to diminish the profound and powerful impact it has upon me.

Explanation by the tongue makes most things clear, but love unexplained is clearer. - Rumi

Good call on Gift of Gab - 4th Dimensional Rocketships Going Up is really good. My favorite album by Blackalicious is Blazing Arrow.

Overall there's so much music with a spiritual nature lately that I have a hard time keeping track of it!

Annie Lennox is covering an Ash song at the moment that i love - lyrically it's a bit repetitive but it gets its message across lol!

    Shining Light
Roman candles that burn in the night
Yeah, you are a shining light
You lit a torch in the infinite
Yeah, you are a shining light
Yeah, you light up my life

You've always been a thorn in their side
But to me you're a shining light
You arrive and the night is alive
Yeah, you are a shining light
Yeah, you light up my life

    We made our connection
    A full on chemical reaction
    Brought by dark divine intervention
Yeah, you are a shining light
    A constellation once seen
    Over Royal David's city
An epiphany you burn so pretty
Yeah, you are a shining light

You are a force, you are a constant source
Yeah you are a shining light
    Incandescent in the darkest night
    Yeah you are shining light

etc etc - it goes on in the same vein for quite a while Smile

if links aren't active here you may need to cut and paste into your browser?
    It's worth watching through.

Thanks for putting me on to Vibrasphere. Have been listening to them now for over a week. Great music

It brings a sense of oneness for me. Many of the songs are created in love and wonder of the world we live in, and the higher mystical states the creators are trying to describe in their songs.

The sound quality is quite bad on youtube, but I'm grateful for it being easy to share.

Amazingly, no one has yet mentioned the song that is perhaps the best candidate for this thread...
Within You, Without You, by the Beatles.

(Although it is credited to the Beatles, it is a George Harrison song, and he is the only Beatle who plays on the tune {along with Sir George Martin, Neil Aspinall, and a bunch of Indian musicians, who are, unfurtunately, uncredited....})

We were talking-about the space between us all
And the people-who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth-then it's far too late-when they pass away.

We were talking-about the love we all could share-when we find it
To try our best to hold it there-with our love
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.

Try to realize it's all within yourself
No-one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small,
And life flows ON within you and without you.

We were talking-about the love that's gone so cold and the people,
Who gain the world and lose their soul-
    They don't know-they can't see-are you one of them?

When you've seen beyond yourself-then you may find, peace of mind,
    Is waiting there-
And the time will come when you see
    we're all one
, and life flows on within you and without you.

I have endless music recommendations, and have started a music review blog in the past two months at
    http://djtanuki.blogspot.com
I am writing short blurbs about my all-time favorites albums, mainly modern electronic and ambient music, much of it appropriate for deep meditation/journeying. If you're looking for something new, I strongly recommend everything I've reviewed! Smile

hi, i already posted this on the harvest song topic - and i do not intend to market anything (no worries pls i am not selling anything Smile )

since I am artist I love to receive feedback and especially since my eyes have been opened to this LOO topic/lifestyle from people who actually understand or at least can relate to what i am doing in my music.

our band's name is L.A.soon, and was formed in feburary 2009

we're 2 late twenty years old guys from berlin in germany

I am the singing voice and i write the lyrics, so most of the songs have been inspired
from my life ever since i came across the LOO.

    http://www.myspace.com/LAsoonmusic
    http://www.dooload.de/LAsoonmusic

infinite - this was my very first LOO related song
illusion - deals with our reality
L.A.nated - deals with feelings of alienation
everything is forgiven - deals with disappointment and the choice to forgive
gaia - a song for mother earth
hidden hand - song from negative "elite/ruling blood" ET entity perspective
My Way Home - deals with having found faith "the way home"

and the other day i came a cross this beautiful music for meditating and for some reason ghandi's phrase
"be the change you want to see" popped up in my mind and i recorded "be the change u want 2 see"

hope you'll all enjoy the music.

thank you so much - love and light to everyone!

    Alex

Ali Quadir & Sirius, It's nice you enjoyed it! I've listened to it plentiful of times... yes, maybe I should have posted this in the Law of One music thread. Smile
But in my context, this song is more than a simple song

anyway, I'll leave it up to our kind moderators to decide
lol something went quite wrong here!

that was confusing looking at one of my posts haha.

Who here has heard of dubstep? I warn you, you may not like it haha, bad words used to describe this type of music tend to be actualy pretty good. Dubstep revolves around abusing your subwoofer. Do the bass frequencies carry any significance on our energetic bodies? I have pondered this for a while. I have found that the majority of people my age really do enjoy having thier rooms vibrate to this music. pants PC speakers will not do this justice, just to note Tongue

Anyway, heres a good example of dubstep :p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIyMc5pGYwo&fmt=18
*edit* another one for good measure! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5kbtLvjq...ted&fmt=18 */edit*

Also, just for fun, if you put &fmt=18 at the end of any youtube URL you make the sound stereo instead of mono!

Love and Light, and I hope I haven't offended the ears BigSmile

    dude...

My younger brother has been listening to this one piece for some time. Phil Collier? I personally never heard of him, but it's good!
"The deepest relaxation music ever - Air - by Paul Collier + alpha brainwave frequencies"

This is for those who where injured in the dubstep movement. :p

Wow hello everyone, this thread has really grown. I don't have time to read all the suggestions right this minute, but I will soon!

In the meantime, I found some very Law of One oriented electronic music, in it's lyrics and general feel, that I thought was worthy of posting here.

Hey Sirius, I have been loving dubstep for the past few years, since I heard the UK artist Burial on the amazing Hyperdub label. Also check out 2562's album "Aerial", and Headhunter's "Nomad". Also, Zomby if you are in the mood for stuff that sounds like old atari videogame music, but with massive bass! BigSmile

I've never been so moved to tears through music than I have when listening to this song. I play it only sparingly so as not to diminish the profound and powerful impact it has upon me.

I like “Live” too…that one song off the “Throwing Copper” disc called “Lighting Crashes” brings chills to my upper arms every single time I hear it. Never fails. Probably my favorite of everything they’ve ever done.

this song sends me flying which makes sense since the album is called "learning to fly" hehe

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKn9VXJpET0

poem i wrote after listening to it:

    Dancing's my religion
    Music is my god

    Let the rhythm take you
    And shake your holy bod

    The tempo speeds up
    Going faster and faster

    Ending with a primal burst
    I channel Shiva the master

    Silence then echoes
    I am in deep suspense

    The bass beats again
    I've found my innocence

    Oh what a great feeling
    Being merged with a song

    Heaven's mana i am steeling
