No they are different dreams at different times of my life, different scenario's but all end with me getting angry and getting the bad guy. I think it is more a symbolism for my meekness on the outside, I'm a VERY quiet person, cry at anything (I just quickly saw the thing you wrote on my other post about crying haha), and slow to action until I'm forced, but once I am forced to stand up for myself I make sure the job gets done permanently lol. I'm the kind of person that just wants to be left alone in life and I don't like it when others won't let that happen.

Speaking of dreams though, my gosh I had a strange one last night!! I can't remember all the details, but the idea was that all of humanity was suddenly told that we are descendants of a Reptilian race, and people started being able to start changing out of their human form. It wasn't a scary thing, everyone was celebrating and everyone started being treated like royalty and being able to have whatever they wanted in stores for free. I don't think that I was one of them though, I was kind of on the outside just watching it all but they wanted to accept me as well but I found it all a bit weird. So I went into this clothing store, and this Reptile guy was there and he said I can whatever but only on the condition I let him *have his way* with me, and I was like "no no no no no!!" and I ran away to some place next door and there was a girl there who hid me and protected me. Another part of the dream was I was heading to my Grandmother's house (not a real Grandmother's house though, a dream one) and there was this tree in the front yard that was weird and beautiful and I had named it Yggdrasil after the Norse World Tree, and it was my favourite tree in the whole world! And when I got there workers had cut it down and were wood-chipping it and I was crying my eyes out and in hysterics and I just wanted to go be near what was left of it. There was more I think but that's all I remember.

    ODD!!

Wow, that dream about the tree makes *me* want to cry. I remember once my dad tried to burn one of our old Christmas trees and I started screaming and howling until he stopped. To me, trees are my brothers and sisters.

I've had weird sexual reptilian dreams as well, though, as many on this forum will tell you, I'm a bit of a reptile nut, so it probably comes from my own weird imagination. Lol.

LOL! Whatever floats your boat I guess :p (kidding)

I have never had reptilian creatures hitting on me in the dream state before (although this one time at a bar..) but I DO have incubus' come to me sometimes.. one time, when I was younger, there was a very good looking entity in a dream trying very badly to be seductive, almost forcing himself on me - but his vibe was off, and i knew what he was so I was very adamantly refusing - and he had a twin sister with him, and after I kept refusing she flew into a rage and attacked me and I had to fight her. True story!

I've had a lot of dreams in which STS characters attempted to get me to have sex with them, though in most cases I saw through it instantly. There was one recurring attempt that got harder and harder to say no to every time, but after about the fourth or fifth time I finally stopped having the dream. I have a rather...active...sex drive, though, so I wouldn't doubt that, once again, a lot of it is simply an expression of my subconscious.

I had a nightmare last night, though a lot of it has been lost. I slept a pretty long time and there was a lot of dream crammed in there. I remember there was this boy and this girl. Both were about 12 years old, and both seemed to be a bit off. The girl seemed a bit mentally challenged and the boy seemed to have ADD on steroids. Neither of them seemed entirely connected to reality.

Somehow I wound up in my old church with all the people who went there, including my parents, and the boy and girl were there, too. Something happened...I can't remember what now, but I suddenly got the feeling that it was the apocalypse, or that something horrible was going to happen. We started hearing all these really scary noises outside of the church, and when I looked out the window I saw these shadow creatures lurking around out there. They were more than just shadows, but I have no way of explaining how terrifying they were. They were like embodiments of pure, distilled evil. The very air was filled with a heavy, dark sense of menace.

We all ran into the basement of the church and were hiding down there, hoping to wait out whatever disaster was going on. The darkness in the air became oppressive. We could physically feel it in our bodies. It was completely miserable. The boy started crying because he thought that it was all his fault somehow. I told him there was no way it was his fault, and I cuddled with him, trying to calm him down. I clutched both of the little kids to me, and gave them stuffed animals to hold.

Finally we figured out that a few pieces of old jewelry we had recently acquired were seemingly the cause of all the pandemonium. The jewelry was haunted or possessed or something like that. I was talking with my parents as to what the best way to dispose of the jewelry was. If we simply removed it from the area and put it somewhere else, it would only infect that area and the people there would suffer as well. We wanted to destroy it but couldn't think of a way. I finally suggested we try to melt it, so we held the jewelry in a fire but it wouldn't melt. We were stumped because we didn't know what to do.

The next thing I remember I'm in the mall with Mortal Kombat characters, and at that point the plot started degenerating really fast. It was so nonsensical that I don't think I can even explain it. Still, the little girl and boy remained in the dream. There was a lot more to it than that, but alas, it has faded.

Wow that's pretty full on! I wonder if inanimate objects can have things like that attached and how that would happen? (outside of LOTR) I wonder why the boy thought it was his fault..

Don't remember a great deal of my dream. I was doing this full moon ritual with some other people. It involved holding white T-shirts up in front of the moon...it was very bizarre and made absolutely no sense. Apparently whatever we were doing was something we could get in trouble for, as we were being very covert about it. By the end of the dream it seemed like it all had to do with some elaborate game we were playing, but I have no idea what it was about.

Speaking of dull dreams, I just had a long, intricate dream about stocking the shelves at work. I work for eight hours, then I come home and dream about being at work! ARRRGH!

I'm surprised my brain didn't explode from all the awesome.

No, LOL! I'm pretty sure he was a dream incarnation of one of the characters in the story my husband and I collaborate on (technically it's his story, but I help him with character development). His name is Smexyawesome...*cough*...I mean Hokori. Hawt. Samurai. Vampire. (big, dreamy eyes)

What can I say? Villains usually have the most interesting stories and I could spend hours dissecting their psychological profiles. Especially the hawt ones. Lol. I'm also a huge Sephiroth fan, though I try to keep my Final Fantasy dorkitude to a minimum.

Just had another crazy dream (for those that can't tell, I've been sleeping on and off in chunks...my sleep schedule has been a bit off for the past couple of days).

I wound up getting caught by the facility in my story that captures and experiments on psychics. It seems like it was my own fault though, because I actually *went* to the place of my own accord, then somehow expected not to be captured. What was I doing? Investigating? Trying to bring the place down? Trying to help a friend trapped within? I don't know, but somehow I wound up just walking out in front of everyone, and of course they all started coming after me.

It really looked like an action movie. People were running everywhere, all of them trying to catch me. There were army guys and doctors and government guys, and I was running as fast as I could, dodging their attacks, trying to outsmart them, ducking behind things. I'm pretty sure I saw Cornelius Gray, one of my main characters who is one of the psychic hunters, being one of the ones coming after me, and I guess that was pretty cool. I'm always intrigued when my characters pop up in my dreams and I get to see what they look like as real people, not drawings.

Anyway, I finally ended up running into this pile of doctors. One of them got me with a syringe and I could feel the drug hitting me. I was like *Crap! No! I've got to keep going!" and I staggered forward for a bit before I collapsed to the floor. They piled me into a chair with a guard sitting next to me and left...I guess they were going to go get their boss to see what he wanted to do about me.

The guard next to me ended up being a guy I know that I used to play cards with. He was really friendly with me even though he was there to keep me from escaping. I felt really drugged, but I muttered something about how ironic it was that we knew each other, and perhaps there was a purpose in all of it. I was crying, though, because I didn't want them to experiment on me.

After a while I realized that the sedative seemed to be wearing off quicker than it was supposed to. My thoughts started clearing up, but I pretended to still be drugged so they wouldn't inject me again. I can't remember exactly what all happened for the next bit, but I ended up suddenly escaping with another two girls who were trapped there. We managed to catch everyone by surprise and slip out of the place before they knew what was happening.

When we got outside it turns out we were in India (WTF...Confused, was this your doing? :p) We decided to hide inside a huge shopping mall that we passed. We ended up grabbing some Indian clothes to disguise ourselves and I put on this bright yellow skirt/dress and a bright pink shawl type of thing. Somehow I had a lot of money on me, so I'm not sure if we bought the clothes or just stole them.

I realized I was absolutely starving and the three of us split up to try to find some things we would need. I ran into a young Indian man I seemed to know, and he took me to the food court. I was relieved that the menus were in English, but I didn't recognize any of the dishes. The young man said "Oh, get the (insert name of Indian dish here)." so I ordered that. They gave me this really nicely arranged plate...I think there was cabbage in there because I remember something purple. Some kind of little chunks of meat, too, I think...I really had no idea what it was, exactly. There were also some kind of noodles on the side...I only mention this because I think it's the most detailed food dream I've ever had. He told me I should get yogurt at the condiment bar because it went really well with the dish. Apparently condiments there included a lot more that ketchup and mustard.

So I finally get this plate of food all set up and ready to eat, then somehow I end up dropping it onto the floor and all the food is ruined. I'm like "S#%&!", extremely frustrated because I was so hungry I wanted to cry. I started cleaning it up and I suddenly realized I knew one of the guys behind the counter. He is a guy that I work with. He said "I think I saw your picture on the TV. Aren't some people looking for you?"

I asked him if he was going to tell and he said not if I paid him. I was really disappointed in him because he is my friend and I don't think friends should blackmail each other, but I handed him the money I had. He was like "Whoa, whoa, I don't need that much! Geez!" and he handed some of it back to me. It seems that it was all for naught, though, because a man in a navy blue uniform walked into the restaurant and recognized me. I immediately started running, tearing through people. I took off the Indian clothes and somehow wound up wearing jeans and a jacket.

The guy was joined by another guy, and I kept trying to lose them. I can still remember what they look like so clearly- it was amazing. They were both young, probably in their twenties. One was white with an almost shaved head. The hair he did have was light brown and he had glasses. The other was Indian, and he had medium length curly black hair and really expressive eyes. It was like all the details were really sharp...I usually don't see people that clearly in dreams.

I ran into a dressing room in a store, hoping I could hide in there, and began trying to change clothes again. There was a room attendant- an older woman- who was kind of staring at me and it was making me nervous. Did she recognize me? Then one of the guys runs into the room. I started screaming "EEK! A boy!" and pointing at the man and the woman started yelling at him, telling him to get out, only women were allowed.

I ran out a side door and wound up in the parking lot. Both of the guys soon appeared and I was trying to run from them, but suddenly it was like my legs didn't want to work at all. I couldn't run, and I ended up doing some weird sort of gliding thing. I realized if I pushed off of the ground with one foot I would almost fly forward, though I couldn't get far off the ground. It wasn't nearly fast enough, though- these guys were running as fast as they could and they quickly caught up to me.

They backed me against an office building and I put up my fists, determined to fight to the end even though they were trained military professionals and would probably kick my arse. The white guy doubled over, trying to catch his breath, and the Indian guy looked at him and said something like "Come on! Catch your breath! You're so out of shape!" Then I woke up.

Hokori? That's interesting. I had a role-play character named Hiroki at once whom was a samurai/ninja vampire. And Sephiroth is indeed badass, although I have to give the medal of most badass FF villian to Kafka, having been the only one to actually succeed in destroying the world.

That is very interesting the way you connect characters to your dreams, I have long since considered that writing and "fictional" expression is actually expressions of alternate time-lines.

I also have strong reason to believe I'm connected to Imhotep, perhaps even a parallel incarnation, I have heard whisperings of his name and there rings a strong connection through Thoth. Of course, speculation.

That's crazy, Az. Hokori was a samurai in his human life, but adopted many ninja techniques after he became a vampire, eventually fusing both sets of skills! He eventually became the leader of a group of assassins. It's insane how these strands of thought seem to overlap each other all across the globe!

My character Gray was inspired a lot by the Operative in the movie Serenity...another bad guy who really piqued my interest. I was totally rooting for Imhotep in the last mummy movie, even though I knew the American guy was going to save the day at the last possible second (rolls eyes). I found his character very interesting. Of course, I'm sure the historical Imhotep was nothing like what was portrayed in a Hollywood movie. Lol.

That's interesting, its astounding how similar paterns can develop, and well, this character Hiroki was incredibly vast. Born of the Devil and the Holy Mother he was abandoned on Earth and raised by a tribe of Darkfire Dragons until he was changed at the age of 19 and he left. When I started initially playing the character he was nearly 10,000 years old already, having become incredibly powerful already as a vampire. He possessed a multitude of mystical weapons, including twin katanas which fused together in to a more powerful dai-katana, and he frequently used kunai and wakizashis. He had also mastered the different schools of elemental magic and had developed some of his own particular alchemical techniques, in addition to having over a hundred blood demons sealed within his left arm. His story of adventure to this point is quite interesting, with lots of wandering and such seekings.

However, the very interesting stuff was the things I role-played with him in this state (of course, when I created him I didn't know all this stuff of his past, it just gradually revealed itself, at first he was just a vampire to me). He ended up drinking the blood of a Elvin Goddess which caused him to ascend his vampiric form to become something wholey different. For the first time in his existence he ruled a kingdom, was married and had children. However, he hadn't reached his limit and being so unbalanced at times in fits of insanity when his inner demons took over he nearly destroyed it all. Finally he decided to assure his power and gain the balance of his polarities. Slaughtering a village he sent himself to hell to confront the Devil, achieving a form of negative energetic purity that was beyond absolute purity, it was transcended energy, from the God of God. Returning to Earth he at once revived the whole village and prayed to his mother, and so he ascended to the higher planes to stand before the throne of God, and meet his mother, the Holy Mother. Thus he was granted the same purity in positive energy and so was balanced and ascended, becoming at last his true self, an Eternal. He had been bred as a guardian, his power perhaps only just below infinite, his entire path through life so that he may become a pure and ultimate protector for all those whom would call to be free. While still dour, he possessed an incredible amount of compassion, but also the wisdom to understand the natural processes of transition, life and death.

For some reason, this experience of creating this character and story has somehow vibrated with me as being almost prophetic of my own journey through existence. Perhaps this was even my existence in another octave, or perhaps simply the time I have spent in this one. Other times I feel like that THIS life is symbolized by the point I created the character and started playing it. Already old, with knowledge, but somehow still quite incomplete. There have been some fascinating parallels in my own life with many things in the stories, and I feel that so far it has indeed been a foreshadow of my own questing.

Its amazing how we lay our path before us before we have even walked it.

Aha Yes, I have a feeling he was quite different in "real" life, although perhaps still negatively polarized.

Um...wow. Hokori wasn't quite THAT deep, though your story was absolutely amazing. When I read it I felt something clicking within me.

    I'll PM you my/Walter's character's story so I don't derail my own thread. :p

Aha I wasn't intending to boast, I for some reason just felt it would be worthwhile to share with you. I got the feeling you would appreciate it.

That sounds cool, definitely do that! I'm always interested in these sorts of things, these "characters" we create for ourselves I feel are actually deep impressions of our personal archetypes.

Maybe I'll actually have a dream sometime soon to actually contribute to the thread. Unfortunately my ganja habits inhibit them often.

I wonder whether I could have been one of those Indian guys. I seriously do Smile

Hopefully the one that was helping me, not the one that was trying to chase me down. Smile

Is it possible that you can describe the physical features of the guy who tried helping you and the other who tried chasing you? May be I could relate to it and tell you whom I resemble more, if at all :p

Just do it if you recollect and have the inclination.

If I recall the guy who was helping me had short, straight black hair and, if I remember correctly, was wearing a polo shirt. He had a friendly face. The other had medium-length curly black hair. He had a longer nose and larger eyes, and his eyes were very dark. His face was very expressive. He was wearing some type of government uniform. They were both fairly young, probably in their 20s. The details have faded a bit now...that's about all I remember.

Confused, do you wear polo shirts? Tongue
Does anyone remember the spooky guy from Twin Peaks, Bob?

Because I dreamt he was doing this grimace at me, just the way he did in the series. And somehow I got the impression he wanted to merge with me.
Then I woke up. And I wasn't even scared! (and he used to scare me a lot, when I watched Twin peaks for the first time )
I looked up the meaning of the name Bob and it is "bright fame".
Not sure what to make of it.

Wow, Meerie...that would scare me, I think. I'm not sure how I'd feel about merging with someone that looked like they wanted to eat me. O___O

I had another "half dream" last night. It feels like a place that is between the worlds, where everything is surreal and I am aware of both the waking world and the dream world. It is like being on crazy drugs...everything feels lighter than air.

I was driving my car in the parking lot outside, and my car seemed to be ethereal. I was driving through other cars and even the wall but I wasn't hitting anything because my car wasn't solid.

When I went upstairs it turned into a "possession dream"...I have these often where it feels I am being possessed. I fell onto the kitchen floor, and I could see my reflection in the door of the oven. I could only watch as my body bent upward into a 90 degree angle...physically impossible but it happened anyway.

My parents were standing by the kitchen staring at me. I started screaming and hissing, and they were just staring at me blankly, like they were in a trance.

I was then in the living room, but I also perceived myself to be in a restaurant, as if the two worlds had overlapped. I was still freaking out, and suddenly I realized both of my hands were tied. A rope was wrapping around each of my wrists and connecting to who knows where, pulling my arms out to my sides. I started freaking out more at this.

Then a chef came over and asked if I was enjoying my food and I started spitting food out of my mouth and growling at him and he was like "Oh..." and walked away pretty quickly.

    It was weird.

Lol akhtu, yes that is right, he indeed looks as if he wants to eat someone. Had not noticed that before.
According to a swiss site of dream interpretation (traumdeuter.ch) dreams of possession could indicate you feel you are adapting too much to the standards of what is considered "normal" in our society and somehow feel confined by them.

Meerie, I would interpret this dream like this: when you think about this person, Bob (?), and how he is, what do you think then? That what you think is probably a part of your own personality that needs to "merge" with you, that is be accepted by you and intergrated with your whole inner being.

Had a funky dream. I dreamed I was in the world of Harry Potter (which is weird in itself because I don't even like those books). Apparently I was Harry (but still a girl?) and Voldemort had taken over everything. Voldemort was also changing gender. Looked even creepier as a woman. Then somehow we all wound up back at Voldemort's house, which was a trailer trash-looking place, and we were all drinking beers and laughing, and we were all like "What were we fighting about again? Oh well. Who cares." And we all lived happily ever after...or at least drunkenly every after...lol.
