I really enjoyed inception and think that Mr. Nolan is a great craftsman, so looking forward to it.

I heard this movie has spectacular and breathtaking visual senery of space, if interstellar will be any way reminiscent of 2001 Space Odyssey my expectation will be blown away. Really looking forward seeing it on IMAX

Just saw it in Imax yesterday, when the movie finished and the credits rolled me and my two friends sat there in silence for about 15 seconds in awe and then were giddy for the rest of the night talking about it. Great experience and the imax made it that much more intense.

I loved the movie for a lot of reasons but I feel it was far from perfect, from a film making perspective, sci fi perspective, and philosophical/spiritual perspective. Looking past those though, it was one of my favorite movies to be released recently. I really appreciate the scope and the originality of the whole thing.

I was a bit frustrated with my experience at the theater since it was a very crowded showing and some people are so uncomfortable with silence that they feel the need to fill it and disregard respect for the moments the movie was trying to create. What would have been scenes highlighted by the impact of the silence were ruined by people making noises, and being rewarded by laughs from the crowd. It really took me out of the experience. Such is life in an environment with free will, I suppose!

I won't get specific yet since it's a newly released movie and I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I definitely have some opinions once more people see it.

If I had to guess, Sagittarius is high/drunk.

I thought the movie was just ok. The storyline was cool, but previews and reviews made the movie seem like it was going to be an intense dramatic experience which I didn't find it to be. **Spoiler kinda not really** The climax/ending symbolism was outstanding however. Books of knowledge and logic standing in the way of feeling and the heart. The writers really grasped who "they" were..seemed like they did their homework.

I really liked it. It gave a powerful message about the bond of love through time , space and beyond.

It was really hard for my husband to understand the science part, and regarding dimensions. He didn't enjoy it as much as me.

I liked how Murph's anger was portrayed as really just a form of love.

I read that the movie ran over 3 hours, so I opted out.
My daughter was sleepy too, so we missed the film, although having reserved tickets.

The idea of having to sitting down for that length of time is too much.

I can not sit still for more than a few seconds.

I just got home from seeing it at the nearby showplace. It moved me where/when it was supposed to and built up mystery in me to be resolved more or less. It had some fortelling bits that I will need to see again to "get," so that's something to anticipate. The end was very moving in a cinematic way instead of anything particularly spiritual, but that's fine: I was moved.

People will pick nits regarding how it portrayed certain quantum and relativistic events, but I didn't let any of that disappoint me. The characters were well created, directed and performed to my taste. I didn't get a sense that anyone involved in the making knew the LOO material, if you are curious about that, but nor did I notice any particular conflict with it.

I agree, Plenum.

The Sci channel did an hour on The Science of Interstellar. It impressed me with how carefully they worked to get it right. Few narrative films that concentrate on correct science are as entertaining as this one. The voice-over narrator was Matthew McConaughey.
