I might be out of line by opening this thread but because it is a spiritual forum I have taken the liberty to recommend a movie named:

    Lazzaro Felice [Happy as Lazzaro]

The movie is available on Netflix and I believe is a movie worth watching by any seeker.

I might just watch it tonight, have been seeking movies that appeal to the seeker in me. I watched Pan's Labyrinth recently and noticed a strong esoteric/metaphysical underplot, great movie if you haven't seen it yet.

Will report back if/when I decide to watch!

I've watched Pan's Labyrinth long time ago. It is indeed a great movie.

Watched Lazzaro Felice last night, it did not disappoint. The cinematography was beautiful, those italian landscapes are just gorgeous.

I have to say it was not anything like what I was expecting, but it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. I especially enjoyed how modern society was portrayed as alien, dull, and confusing. Stark contrast to the lush imagery of country-living in the first half. Made me reflect on the shortcomings of the post-industrial revolution era we live in, and how disconnected we are from family, the earth, and each other.

I don't want to give any more away in case others will watch in the future, but don't expect a jolly little tale. Definitely explores some dark corners of human society.

For me the film is interesting because it shows what living the Law of One means. Not living the Law of One driven by will but living it driven by faith.

Anyone got any more interesting indie films on streaming services worth a watch?

Doesn't have to be independent, just not, you know, generic and boring
