does this not look like some sort of Calling, some sort of Invokation of the spirit?
wake from the dead (the material world), and be transformed?

Don asks a question about this card, and is thinking that it is the merging of Service to Others and self. He is told that he is wrong

Don then asks what it means:
there are a few points to examine here:
* this card sits at the 6th level in the Chain of Spirit:
devil, tower, star, moon, sun, Judgement, Cosmos
* "This material world is transformed by the spirit into that which is infinite and eternal."
the material world can be seen as space/time, and that which is transient and fleeting. When the action of spirit is applied, there is a distilling of love/light from the 4th and 5th chakras, which is then blended at the 6th level. This love/light is permanent and represents one's lessons and understandings, the grasping in truth of the Law of One.
* "The infinity of the spirit is an even greater realization than the infinity of consciousness, for consciousness which has been disciplined by will and faith is that consciousness which may contact intelligent infinity directly."
everyone has Consciousness. The disciplining of consciousness by will (through mental lessons) and through faith (spiritual lessons) then leads to intelligent infinity.

there is also a quote here which I believe to be relevant:
73.4 Those who are upon the service-to-others path may call upon the light strength in direct proportion to the strength and purity of their will to serve.
so when there is a 'calling of the spirit' as depicted in this card, those who answer may then reciprocally call upon the LIGHT STRENGTH in proportion of their willingness to answer that call.
ie, we will be given and provided the means to carry out the task that we have agreed to. The Light also comes in and transforms us.

once this card has been understood, one then progresses to the COSMOS, card 21, which is one of the most beautiful images that I have ever seen:

Quote:80.19 Questioner: Then for the twentieth archetype I’m guessing that this is the Transformation of the Spirit, possibly analogous to the sixth-density merging of the paths. Is this in any way correct?
Ra: I am Ra. No.

Don then asks what it means:
Quote:80.20 Questioner: Sorry about that. Can you tell me what the twentieth archetype would be?
Ra: I am Ra. That which you call the Sarcophagus in your system may be seen to be the material world, if you will. This material world is transformed by the spirit into that which is infinite and eternal. The infinity of the spirit is an even greater realization than the infinity of consciousness, for consciousness which has been disciplined by will and faith is that consciousness which may contact intelligent infinity directly. There are many things which fall away in the many, many steps of adepthood. We, of Ra, still walk these steps and praise the One Infinite Creator at each transformation.
