Well, I'm finally back, and will post more stuff later....Gary, does Bring4th have a file upload utility? I don't have access to one (that I can remember anyway), so I'll need somewhere to upload pictures before posting them.

I took a lot of pictures but, honestly, I would in most instances be better off just linking to professional photographs of the various sites. I will post pictures of me in Stonehenge if I can find somewhere to upload them. The landscape of Wiltshire is astoundingly beautiful, but I couldn't capture it with my little camera (although I did try!). A professional camera with a panoramic lens would have been appropriate, but even then, it wouldn't do the place justice. You should plan to visit there before you die. Visually, the Vale of Pewsey is as close to Heaven (or what we imagine it is) as one will find on Earth.

By the way, one thing I'll share now is that the stones of Stonehenge are third-density entities! Their consciousness is palpable, and anyone on this site would recognize this immediately upon entering the ring. That was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I'll describe it in more detail later.

p.p.s. ..... What a great group of people joined us on this trip....shining, awake, aware, beautiful, loving people. It was like being at Homecoming, except we got to spend our time in crop circles and cathedrals. I'll try my best to get some of these folks to come to Homecoming....they'd all fit right in!

Can anybody here recommend a good (i.e., easy-to-use, freeware) photo-resizing utility? I'd like to post a photo or two here, but mine are all about 3.6 megabytes in size, and this forum won't allow such large photos to be uploaded; I'd like to resize them to 100 kb or less.

You can drive to within about a hundred yards of it. There is a parking lot and visitor center just across the A344 highway.

The Stonehenge area is awash in crows, ravens, and rooks. Here, a juvenile raven sits atop an upright stone.



At sundown, clouds of rooks descended on the surrounding fields. It was like the Hitchcock movie, "Birds". Creepy, but distinctively British. I remember seeing lots of them in Scotland as a lad. They seemed to prefer perching around medieval churches and harassing lonely passsers-by.

We arrived late in the day, and the visitor center closed just after we arrived, so I didn't get to enter.

We spent most of the week exploring crop circles, and even got to fly over them in microlight aircraft. My own pictures don't do them justice, but you can see them (the crop circles, not my pictures) at www.cropcircleconnector.com .

I was really struck by the beauty of the landscape that could be observed from the crop circles (the genuine ones, anyway). In every genuine circle we entered, the surrounding area was just breathtaking. I attempted to capture the landscapes with my little camera, but it didn't work; I would have needed a very fancy camera with a panoramic lens, but even then, I don't think it would have been possible to reproduce the grandeur and soothing, nurturing beauty of those Wiltshire spots. I think I would like to be buried on Woodborough Hill, overlooking the Vale of Pewsey, although I don't know how that could be arranged.

Here's a picture of a bent node, in wheat; it's a well-known feature of genuine crop circles made in small grains such as wheat or barley.

One morning, we flew over crop circles in mircrolight planes. Here, I (in black jumpsuit) am being settled into the paraplane (like a hang-glider with an engine) by the pilot. Bert Jannssen, our tour operator, is in the blue jacket. What an experience! Pictures taken from such a plane don't do justice to the event.



Here's a picture of the "Cathedral" crop circle, which appeared near Milk Hill and the village of Stanton St. Bernard, taken by my wife, from the cockpit of a microlight airplane:
