this is an excellent resource (ie book) which has lots of technical and visual information on the energy centres (chakras).

although the book is primarily aimed at healing, it has great utility in showing the depictions of the energy centres, the various layers and colors associated with the energy bodies, and also has very good descriptions of the 'energetic interchanges' between the 'self' and the more universal energy field (the one intelligent energy that Ra speaks of).

and although energetics are an effect rather than a cause (thoughts and the mind being primary, and by changing thoughts, the 'aura' is affected immediately), by working with manifested energetic blocks, relief for the patient can be rendered, although the author (Barbara Brennan) stresses that the root cause of the thought pattern must needs be addressed, or else the symptom will either re-appear exactly, or will find another manifestation, usually in the weakest part of the energetic system (the more previous 'weakness' having been 'repaired').

Barbara's own life path is a most diverse and impressive one. She has the hard technical rational training of a NASA scientist, took a sideways movement into 15 years of counselling/therapy, and then the energetics crowned her ability to 'heal' on a totally holistic level.

this is her stance on the 'requirements' of being a healer:

and this is her own, most impressive background: (she has done her homework, in other words : d)

this book has been mentioned by Cyan/Sure and Horuseus in other places, and it is most definitely an excellent technical manual. The pictures (drawn diagrams that is) are AMAZING, and quite a revelation for those who do not have the auric sight developed just yet (what Barbara calls 'High Sensory Perception').

there is also information detailing the secondary energy centres, and how they are formed by the criss-crossing of light patterns, consistent with how Ra describes how these secondary centres come into being.

what was of especial interest to me was how 'Hands of Light' corresponds to my own grasping of the 7 energy centres and their sublevels; what I have referred to as the 7x7 sublevels. My main means of attack here has been to work with the deep level understandings that enable one to clear these 49 sublevels; after all, energy being a manifestation of thought, it is the thought patterns themselves which create the flows/blockages into the energy centres, and their related 7 sublevels in each.

Barbara discusses this in her depiction of the seven levels of the aura; each successively outer and more inclusive layer being one of the higher energy bodies of Ra; although, of course, Barbara gives a different name to these energy fields than what Ra uses.

reading this part here blew my brain doors wide open, as it corresponds exactly to my own investigations in the last 5-6 months, or however long it has been since I have been working with my own system:

it is definitely a great text, and one I am most glad to have stumbled upon.

The most challenging & most important basic counseling skill - learning how to develop and nurture relationships w/ others & connecting with them... more challenging than learning specific techniques!

    Primary and Secondary Energy Centres:

Ra Wrote:49.5 One may examine each of the energy centers for such secondary centers. Some of your peoples work with these energy centers, and you call this acupuncture. However, it is to be noted that there are most often anomalies in the placement of the energy centers so that the scientific precision of this practice is brought into question. Like most scientific attempts at precision, it fails to take into account the unique qualities of each creation.

Ra Wrote:58.5 Questioner: Am I correct in assuming that what I would do would be to dangle a weight approximately two feet below my hand and place it over the body, and when the weight started moving in a clockwise rotational direction it would indicate an unblocked energy center? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. The measurement from hand to weight is unimportant and at your discretion. The circular motion shows an unblocked energy center. However, some entities are polarized the reverse of others and, therefore, it is well to test the form of normal energy spirals before beginning the procedure.

Various Rotations indicative of health and balance or lack thereof

Ra Wrote:60.31 Questioner: The instrument wished to know, when using the pendulum for discovering energy centers, if the back and forth motion meant anything rather than the circular motion?

Ra: I am Ra. This shall have to be the final question although this entity is still providing us with energy. It is experiencing the distortion towards pain.

The rotations having been discussed, we shall simply say that the weak back and forth motion indicates a partial blockage although not a complete blockage. The strong back and forth motion indicates the reverse of blockage which is over-stimulation of a chakra or energy center which is occurring in order to attempt to balance some difficulty in body or mind complex activity. This condition is not helpful to the entity as it is unbalanced. Are there any brief queries before we leave this instrument?

Ra Wrote:58.3 There is great art in the use of the swung crystal. At this point in your development, you would do well to work with the unpowerful crystals in ascertaining, not only the physical major energy centers, but also the physical secondary and tertiary energy centers and then begin to find the corresponding subtle body energy centers. In this way, you may activate your own inner vision.

According to figure 10-2, my energy centers are "Closed and inharmonious...". Well that does not resonate to say the least. Smile

From what perspective do we decide if it is clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Didn't Ra say some people's chakras rotate the reverse of the way most people's do?

same here, my pendulum always does a counter-clockwise circles over my chakras. I guess you and me are some of those reverse chakra polarization people Ra was talking about Tongue

I thought it was for left and right of our body. But I must admit that pendulums never really worked well for me. I think I make contact with too many aspects. Anyway the pendulum may not be very helpful but my intuition is really working well and I feel that all is well. Smile

I was never really good at map dowsing, but I could dowse the bovis rating of orgonite, and be equaled with another person's rating.

To think I'd find this thread.

I must take this moment to thank you, Plenum, you pointed me at this book around when I first showed up.

In the text she says itll be counter clockwise rotations looking at the person and clockwise looking away from the person. She also has a few missing diagrams in chapter 24 but she explains it well enough without pictures.

But I see now there is a disconnect with the diagram with what I said. The issue is to an onlooker itll be counterclockwise but to the doer its clockwise. In a mirror itll be clockwise to the doer.

So perspective is needed. To you your pendulum should go to the right closest to your head to denote clockwise, left for counterclockwise.

If looking at another, left closest to their head is clockwise.

Be careful when flipping a 'spiral'. It can disorient the direction needed. I personally suck at it, I couldn't even make sense on how to mentally flip a spiral in my mind until I bought this book And even then it took me months. Or maybe I'm just not good with spirals. -Shrugs-
