We at L/L Research treat our customer data with the same importance and protection that we would expect when giving out our own personal information over the Internet. As such, we are using this superfluous declaration to offer you, the user, the comfort in knowing what we are doing with the information you provide to us—directly or indirectly. For each visitor to our Web page, our web server automatically captures each user's domain name and IP address, and stores the information privately so that L/L Research may view statistical report on site usage and demographic information.

We hold the e-mail addresses of those who post messages containing their e-mails to our forums, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and e-mail or other contact information volunteered by the user, such as survey information and/or member registrations.

The information we collect through the web server and through voluntary submission is used to improve the content of our web pages, to show us where our site's users originate from, and to perform general internal analysis.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences and record session information, for instance, to know when a user is logged in to their password-protected account. Cookies are used only for security purposes only. We do not, in any way, collect cookie data for analysis.

If you supply us with your postal address on-line you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address. L/L Research does not send advertisements through postal mail. L/L Research may send business-related correspondence in response to an online purchase or request for information.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding information they have requested on-line. L/L Research does not solicit its users through the telephone.

If you would like for us to remove your phone number for any reason, please e-mail us with your full name, username, and the phone number to be deleted. We will be sure any phone information stored in your user profile is deleted. You may also choose to delete your phone number by visiting your online profile (accessed via the 'my Dashboard' option, and delete it that way.

With respect to Ad Servers: Since L/L Research is a non-profit organization, we may choose to generate working capital through site advertising. To try and bring you offers that are of interest to you, we have relationships with other companies that we allow to place ads on our Web pages. As a result of your visit to our site, ad server companies may collect information such as your domain type, your IP address and clickstream information. As you can see by now, we really aren't interested in your contact information, nor do we wish to share it. If you have any serious concerns about our user data retention, please consider writing a postal letter to us and sending it to the above address.

Upon request we offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information, or we will help to check for instances of their contact information being held on our web server.

Users can have any erroneous information corrected or removed by writing to us at the above address, or by simply viewing their registered profile through the web site and modifying any personal details.
