I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Two and the section on the choice of the paths:
Chapter Two
The Choice of the Paths
Carla’s goals for Chapter 2: “I talk about the two paths and how each choice we make in everyday life can be that first choice if we have not yet consciously made it, and also how it can function as a way to follow up the initial choice with further choices along the same line of polarity, thus building personal power.”
The Fork in the Road/the Choice
The first beings of mind, body, and spirit were not complex. The experience of mind/body/spirits at the beginning of this octave of experience was singular. There was no third-density forgetting. There was no veil. The lessons of third density are predestined by the very nature of the vibratory rates experienced during this particular density and by the nature of the quantum jump to the vibratory experiences of fourth density.[1]
There was a time many unknown millions of years ago, at the beginning of the universe as we know it, when making the Choice in the third density was not much of an option. Third-density beings did not possess a “veil of forgetting”—that invisible partition between the conscious and subconscious minds which produces the illusion of separation from the Creator. Since each entity viewed itself and all others as the Creator, service to others was natural, virtually automatic.
But this understanding presented a problem: third-density beings did not have to consciously strive to open their hearts. Their world was so full of love and lack of difficulty, as we might understand it, that they lacked the impetus to pursue[G1] personal spiritual growth. Entities didn’t face the challenges that we face today because they did not live within an illusion of separation from one another and from the Creator. They didn’t have any tough choices to make that would allow them to exercise and strengthen their free will to love and serve one another, or to seek deeper ways of knowing the Creator. Harmony was in-built, so the lessons of working toward increasing harmony were not available. Further, the environment was so comfortable that there was no motivation to transcend it!
Consequently, the beliefs and actions of third-density entities did nothing to help them “graduate” to the next classroom in the school of life. Instead of needing to make difficult choices, these beings could simply glide along knowing that all was well and all was One. This led them to have to repeat third density again and again.
So, the Logos[AB2] sought to find a means of accelerating evolution.
Questioner: Then even though, from our point of view, there was great evolutionary experience it was deemed at some point by the evolving Logos that an experiment to create a greater experience was appropriate. Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. This is correct and may benefit from comment. The Logos is aware of the nature of the third-density requirement for what you have called graduation. All the previous, if you would use this term, experiments, although resulting in many experiences, lacked what was considered the crucial ingredient; that is, polarization. There was little enough tendency for experience to polarize entities that entities repeated habitually the third-density cycles many times over. It was desired that the potential for polarization be made more available.[2]
And so, by intelligent design of the Logos[AB3] , the veil of forgetting descended upon third density, and the Edenic state of the unity of all things and all entities was hidden from the conscious mind. Beyond the veil now lays the unconscious mind, full of deeper truth just waiting to be discovered by the evolving entity.
Questioner: What was the mechanism of the very first veiling process? I don’t know if you can answer that. Would you try to, though, answer that?
Ra: I am Ra. The mechanism of the veiling between the conscious and unconscious portions of the mind was a declaration that the mind was complex. This, in turn, caused the body and the spirit to become complex.[3]
With the veil, the mind became complex, having “more than one characteristic element or concept.”[4] The vast contents of the unconscious mind—which includes the deeper strata of the racial mind, planetary mind, archetypical, and cosmic mind—were not available to the conscious mind on a constant basis anymore. No longer could a third-density entity see its pre-incarnative choices, the unity of the creation, the Creator in all things and all entities, or the power of Love that had made all of the creation out of Light[AB4 Ra suummarized the situation eloquently:
The primary veiling was of such significance that it may be seen to be analogous to the mantling of the Earth over all the jewels within the Earth’s crust; whereas previously all facets of the Creator were consciously known. After the veiling, almost no facets of the Creator were known to the mind. Almost all was buried beneath the veil.
The result of this great experiment of the veil of forgetting being placed between the conscious and unconscious mind was the creation of a “Fork in the Road,” as the seeker of truth could now discover that it had the option to polarize toward service to self or service to others. This was because the environment changed to one of apparent separation where the seeker would have the opportunity to relate to self and other-selves as separate beings to be loved and accepted (positive path) or controlled and manipulated (negative path). Either path would require the seeker to use its will and faith to discover the unity and perfection that lay beyond the veil, or else live in a land of illusion seeking to exploit, manipulate, and enslave others for the benefit of the self. What an incredible experiment, to obscure the certain knowledge of the Creator having created the universe with the power of Love; to hide the fact that the universe was made out of Light; [G5] to conceal the deeper connections between people and the creation, and to disguise unity as separation . . .that all of this would make the evolutionary process more efficient rather than less efficient is wondrous!
This Choice between the two polarities caused a quicker polarization in consciousness so that it became more likely that third-density entities would not repeat third density indefinitely, continually being unable to achieve graduation into fourth density. All of a sudden there was the Player on the Enhanced Game Board being born from the many players on the flat game board. The Game became more interesting, more varied, more imbued with catalyst where misperceptions and misunderstandings could be used to increase the accuracy of one’s perceptions and understandings.
Despite the veiling, there is a universal principle in operation: entities yearn to seek the hidden truth,[AB7] as the Creator likewise yearns to gather the fruits of Its experience through all entities everywhere and, thereby, come to know Itself better. In the following quote, Don asks about this principle, which was mentioned in a work channeled by other seekers.[6]
Questioner: Thank you. Can you tell me— can you interpret a transmission from “The Nine,” where they say “CH is a principle which is the revealing principle of knowledge and law?” Can you tell me what that principle is?
Ra: I am Ra. The principle so veiled in that statement is but the simple principle of the constant or Creator and the transient or the incarnate being and the yearning existing between the two, one for the other, in love and light amidst the distortions of free will acting upon the illusion-bound entity.[7]
Even though we have the veil of forgetting hiding the Creator in all things from our outer sight, we still have the Creator within us that “yearns” to be a more conscious part of our life experience. And we have this distant “yearning” in ourselves as well to find that something, that memory, that experience of joy and meaning, still small voice of the Creator that dwells deep within our being. Somehow, we know that there is more to our lives than the mundane world of illusion has to offer. We dream a more personal dream of meaning, direction, joy, wholeness, and expansion of consciousness. As Players on the Enhanced Game Board we continue to follow that dream while most of those [G8] on our planet remain players on the flat gameboard of life and accept the illusion as the reality of their existence. As Players we know that we exist in an illusion, but we see it as an illusion with the purpose of requiring us to bend every effort to penetrate the veil of forgetting and polarize our consciousness ever more powerfully in the positive sense of service to others so that we may return once again to unity. So, the veil presented the chance to make the Choice and then make the harvest to the fourth density much more likely, as it would eventually become desired by every seeker of truth.
This afternoon I went outside and began weeding the five gardens that surround the fish pond. Then I moved on to the Ruins Mound and got it weeded. My next garden was the striped Lariope next to the cross area. Then I weeded the Astilbe garden which at the moment is covered in daffodils, but I did see one small Astilbe starting its growth. My last garden to weed was the Yellow Creeping Jenny garden close to the drain for the sump pump. The mounds in the front yard really don’t have any weeds yet, so the whole yard is now weeded.

Look Again
I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.
Divinity may seem to have no part in your experience as you awaken to yet another day of traffic, work, chores to do and lists to be made and scratched out. Yet it is the prayer of the spirit of the living Christ that divinity may be at all times in utterly close proximity to each spirit, however concerned with the mundane, however overwhelmed with the everyday chores of a busy life.
You will find the spirit between the motes of dust, within the glimmer of moisture upon a cobweb, rounding like fog at the corners of the heart.
Our prayer is our presence. Do not turn from dust and chores and dailiness to seek the living waters of spiritual food but, rather, gaze at them more closely, for there is no day so busy nor prison so closely bound that the spirit is not within each task and each bar.
We would rescue that state of mind, which does not relish earthly things yet sees none other, from inward blindness by saying, “Look again.” For shall not divine love penetrate and, with your desire, have strength to transform each and every action which you may take this day?
We leave you in that striving which is the peace of Christ, now and ever. Amen.

We come in the name of love and open our hearts, minds, and souls to send love, light, and healing energy to Mother Earth as she brings forth a new Earth in the fourth density. We ask that the infinite love, light and healing energy of the One Infinite Creator heal the hearts of all souls in pain on Earth tonight. May all souls on Earth feel our love, light, and healing energy in their hearts, their minds, and their souls. Amen.
