I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Two and the concept of the service-to-others path:
Questioner: Well, is there then, from the point of view of an individual who wishes to follow the service-to-others path from our present position in third density, is there anything of importance other than disciplines of personality, knowledge of self, and strengthening of will?
Ra: I am Ra. This is technique. This is not the heart. Let us examine the heart of evolution.
Let us remember that we are all one. This is the great learning/teaching. In this unity lies love. This is a great learn/teaching. In this unity lies light. This is the fundamental teaching of all planes of existence in materialization. Unity, love, light, and joy; this is the heart of evolution of the spirit.
The second-ranking lessons are learn/taught in meditation and in service. At some point the mind/body/spirit complex is so smoothly activated and balanced by these central thoughts or distortions that the techniques you have mentioned become quite significant. However, the universe, its mystery unbroken, is one. Always begin and end in the Creator, not in technique.[1]
Ra made it clear that at the heart of the service-to-others path is the understanding or remembrance that we are not only part of the One Infinite Creator, we are one with the Creator. In this third-density illusion we normally do not see or feel this unity with the creation and the Creator unless we have traveled the path of service to others for quite some time and moved into the path of the adept. Traveling this path can be seen as an endless array of choices to be of service to others in our conscious spiritual journey. Each choice of service makes us a more polarized being in the positive sense and gives us further opportunities to continue to realize, in ever more profound ways, that we do contain the One Creator within our beings. We are Players on the Enhanced Game Board of life.
Ra said, “In this unity lies light.” The creative power of Love becomes the focus of the One Creator as it sets about realizing Its desire to know Itself. This great desire to experience more of Its infinite Self—more than the harvest of the previous octave of experience that has coalesced in Its infinite being—becomes a free-will desire of cosmic proportions that focuses through the creative power of Love, and produces what we see as Light in the infinity of galaxies in the universe. All of these Logoi that spring from the Primal Logos, or Love, then continue this creative process to produce sub-Logoi, planets, life forms of infinite variety, and all of these creations and entities that are made of Light.
To consciously partake in this Unity, Love, and Light brings the realization of our very being as having these qualities within us so that we have the equivalent of the universe contained within ourselves. This realization causes joy to bubble up from within us in whatever degree of realization we may have achieved, mental or spiritual. These are precious moments of self-realization that become a comfort when times get difficult and we have to deal with disharmony and indecision as Q’uo mentions in this quote:
Many entities among your people and those to whom we speak at this time feel much loneliness within your third-density illusion because it is difficult to deal with the vibrations that are harsh and confrontive and cause one to make choices without enough knowledge. That is the key. You are never given enough knowledge to make an intellectual decision. You must do the meditating, the listening so that you may be intuitively inspired to know when the time has come for you to concentrate every iota of your being in love and compassion for another. There is no service that is small. All service is gauged by the intensity of the intention to serve. That is what you will be looking for when it you review your incarnation.[2]
Here, Q’uo reminded us that the overarching principles of Unity, Love, and Light that Ra spoke of do not always have center stage within our daily experience. If we wish to be Players on the Enhanced Game Board, we need to make our lives a constant conscious choice of polarity. If we have seeming obstacles like loneliness, indecision, or frustration we need to be able to use these experiences as a starting point in seeing the purpose of these types of difficulties so that we can utilize them in a manner that will eventually enhance our ability and desire to serve.
Many times it will be necessary for us to walk through these inner fires in order to purify these qualities of ourselves that may block our desire and abilities to serve others. Working to balance these inner challenges ensures that we will be able to heal ourselves before we attempt serve others as our life’s work.
So how do we do this inner work? Q’uo reminded us that so many times we are not given enough information to make purely intellectual decisions in our life experience. There may not be any obvious answers on the surface of our experience, so we need to dive down into meditation and set ourselves to listening in the silence to those intuitive flashes that come out of the blue, so to speak. In meditation our subconscious minds, our higher selves, our teachers and guides, and the One Creator all have the desire and ability to give us clues that will serve as guides in our daily life. These hints and clues are precious, whether they are clearly perceived as words, or perhaps simply take the form of an image of us taking a certain road, or a feeling in our hearts of the way to proceed.
Then we can follow that path in our great desire to be of service to others in whatever form it make take. And as Q’uo said, the size of the service is unimportant. What is important is our desire to serve, to give of ourselves in time and talent that which truly reflects the pure desire within our hearts and souls to be of service to others. We can never really know whether or not we have been of service. We can only know that we have a burning desire to do so and that we have given our best effort in an attempt to do so. As Players, this burning desire becomes the very nature of our being made manifest within the third-density illusion.
You see, this third-density experience is biased, in the outer sense, towards service to self. This makes all entities uncomfortable and puts one in the position of choosing. This is the point of this particular density. It is especially the point of the density at this time, as each entity prepares for the walk of light and each entity wishes to move comfortably into the more dense and living light of the one infinite Creator which creates the illusion of fourth density.[3]
We are living in the third-density illusion where the primary focus of most of the people on Earth is to be of service to themselves with occasional nods to being of service to others if it is convenient. This doesn’t mean that most people are polarizing in service to self, but that the focus on selfish behaviors causes most people to fall into what Ra called the sinkhole of indifference because they are simply going along with the status quo, and not consciously making the choice to walk the negative path or the positive path. Our culture teaches us that in order to be successful we need to have a good job, make lots of money, have a beautiful home, an ideal family, and be well thought of in our local community. Any mention of being of service to others, just for the sake of being of service to others, is often relegated to the bottom line of asking what would be the profit in such an action. We live in the land of the flat game board.
So, when we feel the desire to be of service to others in a selfless way, we are liable to be judged as foolish and ignorant. This peer pressure to pursue the common goals and forget to move in tune with our hearts will require of us that we continue to make this choice to serve others over and over. There are endless opportunities to increase our positive polarity, not just in the face of such peer pressure but because we have made The Choice again and again as a clear signal of our life’s purpose and heart’s desire.
Many spiritual seekers feel that after they have repeatedly made these choices the whole process should eventually become easier. There is the hope of becoming so good at it that, due to practice, it won’t take so much effort anymore. But that is not usually—if ever—the case.
Along the evolutionary journey there is always a new challenge around the bend—one that is a match for your level of spiritual growth. Just as we must lift heavier weights to increase our physical fitness as our bodies get stronger, we will need to lift heavier metaphysical weights in order to further polarize our consciousness. In order for us to continue growing as Players we need to be able to see the deeper rewards of processing ongoing daily catalyst and to follow that inner star that leads us through the darkness of this third-density illusion and into the light-filled realms of the fourth-density Harvest.
Questioner: Well, if an entity wants to learn ways of it, wants to be of service to others rather than service to self while he is in this third density, are there best ways of being of service to others, or is any way just as good as any other way?
Ra: I am Ra. The best way of service to others is the constant attempt to seek to share the love of the Creator as it is known to the inner self. This involves self-knowledge and the ability to open the self to the other-self without hesitation. This involves, shall we say, radiating that which is the essence or the heart of the mind/body/spirit complex.
Speaking to the intention of your question, the best way for each seeker in third density to be of service to others is unique to that mind/body/spirit complex. This means that the mind/body/spirit complex must then seek within itself the intelligence of its own discernment as to the way it may best serve other-selves. This will be different for each. There is no best. There is no generalization. Nothing is known.[4]
Ra suggested that the best way, in general, to be of service to others is to share what we feel and believe, in the very heart of our being, is true of the One Creator every time we have a chance to do so. In order to do this it is necessary that we have thought long and hard on how we view the Creator and Its place in our life and within our inner being. It is most helpful for us to have used meditation as the heart of our path of seeking the truth because the greatest truth that we can realize, in my opinion, is that the One Creator lives within us and in meditation can guide us in any way that we are able to perceive Its guidance: words, images, intuitions, dreams, feelings, coincidences, and so on. Sharing with others just how these realizations and experiences of the Creator in our lives has aided our spiritual journey is a most compelling way to serve others.
Each of us is unique, and our spiritual journeys are unique as well. It is up to each of us to determine what kind of sharing we may do with others and when is the appropriate time to share. Ra suggested that there was no hard and fast rule in such a service. We just have to consult our hearts and our desire to be of service whenever and however we may do so. Q’uo also had some helpful thoughts on how we may be of service to others:
Serving someone is fundamentally the awareness that you and the person you are serving are one entity, united, singular and absolutely equal. Rejoicing in the apparent differences, a servant of the light relates to other selves as “themselves,” knowing that the self and the other-self are a certain kind of entity, citizens of eternity, dwellers beyond time and space, within a universe that is as wide as infinity and as small as the interior of the human heart. Indeed, may we say that from our perspective, the universe lies within each of your hearts and all the stars and all the galaxies actually reside within. So as you sit upon your blanket and gaze at the outward stars, you are also gazing within at precisely the same view. That which lies within you is infinity, blessing, grace and the infinite Creator Whose consciousness is all that there is.
Service is bound up in the knowing of this relationship and this nature so that when one who is a servant of the light and of the Godhead principle, shall we say, gazes upon an other self, no matter what that self is asking, the basic service is the connection of unity without judgment of any kind but with absolute faith that this entity is a spiritual entity and is to be honored, loved, respected and treated as a spiritual entity. Q’uo, May 4, 2003.
This afternoon we held another public channeling meditation in which a full room of 15 dedicated seekers of truth gathered to share their own spiritual journeys and to ask questions of those of Q’uo that might help them move forward in their spiritual practices. Many very good questions were asked of those of Q’uo, and our session lasted for one hour and forty minutes.
It has come to my attention that the link I included yesterday from Gaia TV did not actually include the portion of the panel discussion that I was in. Love As Motivation
I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the fullness of the consciousness which is divine love
That consciousness is the ground of being of all who may hear our voice. That single word, love, created all that there is. The image of love draws each seeker on; with visage veiled and beguiling; with footsteps infinitely retreating before the advancing soul.
For that consciousness which is pure and creative and all-powerful is that consciousness which is its own source; that light which shines through the ages; that factory of all that there is, and that home to which all that there is shall return.
Do not sentimentalize the love of Jesus the Christ, for He left His spirit with you not only to comfort you but to excite and motivate each soul to act in that same consciousness and live in that same light and energy.
Know that your feet rest upon love, the ground of your being and that that creative energy is the active principle. The passive principle is peace.
In that peace we leave you, both now and forever. Amen.

We come in the name of love and open our hearts, minds, and souls to send love, light, and healing energy to Mother Earth as she brings forth a new Earth in the fourth density. We ask that the infinite love, light and healing energy of the One Infinite Creator heal the hearts of all souls in pain on Earth tonight. May all souls on Earth feel our love, light, and healing energy in their hearts, their minds, and their souls. Amen.
