I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Five and the section on the service to others aspect of earning a living:

The Service to Others Aspect of Earning a Living

Seek first the consciousness of love through meditation and analysis of action and thought, and that which is needed shall be given unto you according to the circumstances needed by you in your own opinion before this incarnational experience. All shall be given to you, for you see, no matter what the illusion of manipulation and manifestation may be, all this can be given unto you. All is indeed free. And that which is not, will not be. Each has designed for himself a special incarnation offering powerful experiences of lack and plenty, pain and peace. If you have little money, think not that you do not deserve more. If you have much money, think not that you deserve less. But whatever your environment, fill it with your love of the Creator and allow that love to reach to the infinity of the Creator’s laughing face, that His light may shine infinitely through you that you may become plenty to others. Q’uo, December 20, 1986.

Q’uo suggested that each of us has planned incarnations within this third-density illusion which are full of qualities that we have chosen to help us move along our spiritual path. Q’uo suggested that we keep foremost in our minds and desires to love and serve the Creator: the Creator in the creation, in other selves, and in our self as well. In most cases we will be able to earn a sufficient amount of money to be able to support ourselves at the simplest level of need.

Whatever the circumstances of our standard of living are, we have very likely chosen them before this incarnation. They will be a beginning point that will provide us a path to spiritual progress that we will very likely recognize to be of paramount importance to us. If we place our focus on our spiritual journeys, we will very likely also find a way to pay our bills. However, if we should ever have any doubt about how to manifest a means of earning a living that is of service to others, Q’uo suggested that we utilize meditation to find our innermost consciousness of love to provide the direction most helpful for us to travel. Meditation is a good means by which our guides, our subconscious mind, our higher self, and eve the Creator can communicate thoughts, images, and words that can give the best direction in which to move and choices to make regarding how we may find work that is inspiring to us and of service to others.

The great value of groups that come together in order to serve is that they reflect two ways. They reflect out into the world, as is the conscious intention of such a group. One is able to create, as an offer to the community, projects and systematic attempts to serve that are able to be offered over a period of time with steadiness and stability. This takes a group of people out of themselves and lets them have a look at living their beliefs in such a way that they are truly of service to others. Q’uo, August 24, 2005.

In this quote Q’uo is speaking of a general quality of how, when we work together in groups, we have the opportunity of putting our basic beliefs of how to be of service to others into a means of living our beliefs. This is a far more spiritually-oriented means of working that puts our core beliefs into action in a steady and stable way that serves others most effectively. It is akin to Joseph Campbells advice to follow our bliss. Ra also suggested that “Those of like mind which together seek shall far more surely find.” (83.17) It is a way of life and work that does not seek financial gain as the main reason for our work. Such financial gain may, indeed, also be realized, but it is more of a side effect of our work efforts that seek most purely to offer assistance to any who we may encounter in our chosen line of work.

Q’uo also had another piece of advice as to how we might find our highest and best path of service to others in our work:

It is true that a new age has been born and your planet at this time is in labor with this new world. And so you, too, are in labor within yourself, birthing a new and hopefully more spiritually oriented entity, finding ways as you make choices to become more real. How do you forge a road between the everyday of earning a living and the fourth density of love unconditionally given and received? Each of you has part of the answer to that, for each of you is at work paving that road now with your thoughts, with your faith, and with your doubts.

As always, we are with you; we and many others are glad to join you in your meditations to strengthen them. It is our privilege and pleasure to find ways to bring you dreams and stray thoughts and coincidences, and this is not only our practice but many of those within the inner planes of your planet who wish to help you will find ways to communicate concerning those things that you are worried about. Keep open the ears and the eyes and behold those small beauties and blessings that each day brings. Q’uo, February 4, 2002.

So we have a great deal of help that is available to guide us on our path of working to be of service to others. This is, indeed, the work of the Player on the Enhanced Gameboard of Life.

This morning I had a podcast with Dustin and Martin from Soulfocus, whose life work is to find ways to remove institutional racism from our culture and who also have very active spiritual lives that include the Law of One as a means to help increase enhance their work with the various facets of the Law of One that Ra shared with us during the Ra contact. They had some very thoughtful questions about the divisions of opinion in the third density, how we polarize our consciousness in the positive sense, how graduation into the fourth density is achieved and many others as well.

This afternoon I cut the grass for the first time and then used my trimmer to take out the grass where the mower couldn’t go. Then I used my backpack blower to clean all the walkways of grass clippings. My last job of the day was to run errands with my first stop being at Thieneman’s Garden Center to pick up more flowers. My second stop was at PNC bank to withdraw some cash. My third stop was at Paul’s Fruit Market to pick up some food for myself. My last stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store to pick up more food for myself.

The Heritage Of Christ

I am of the principle of the full consciousness of love.

Once, many years ago, a man you call Jesus walked upon the dry soil of his native land. The reality of an incarnation is such that at times it may blind those who follow such an incarnation of Christhood to the eternal and immutable consciousness of Christ which was carried within that incarnation but which is available always for those who seek this consciousness.

It is not an illusion or a delusion to seek the consciousness of Christ. Focusing upon the incarnation of Jesus the Christ is a tool and a resource, a blessing and a gift.

However, the very air that you breathe carries the consciousness of Christhood.

Know that you are channels of the consciousness of Christ and, insofar as you may give yourself over entirely to that consciousness, others shall see Christ through you.

For are you not also the sons and daughters of humankind? Do you not also share the heritage which Jesus offered for all? We encourage you to refrain from despair in focusing upon the incarnation of Jesus and contrasting it with your own consciousness.

Peace be with you as you create new life by your consciousness, now and ever. Amen.

I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight:

We come in the name of love and open our hearts, minds, and souls to send love, light, and healing energy to Mother Earth as she brings forth a new Earth in the fourth density. We ask that the infinite love, light and healing energy of the One Infinite Creator heal the hearts of all souls in pain on Earth tonight. May all souls on Earth feel our love, light, and healing energy in their hearts, their minds, and their souls. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. The 102 quote today comes from Chapter Five and the concept of living the Choice in the work environment:

Carla’s goals for Chapter 5:–In this chapter we look at how to make service-to-others choice in the work environment where most of us spend so much of our lives.

102-Chapter Five

Living the Choice in the Work Environment

The Work Ethic—why we work

1 Timothy 6:6-12  says:

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

This Biblical quotation suggested that as spiritual beings we must realize that we came into this world with nothing of a material nature, and when we leave this third-density illusion we will take nothing of a material nature with us. The quote went on to say that while we are here in this life there are temptations which we would do well to avoid, and the love of money is certainly one which might take us off the straight and narrow path that leads to our spiritual awakening.

The quotation ends by exhorting us all to “pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.” As we make our way in this third-density illusion we do well to “fight the good fight” in exercising faith in eternal life that will become our home after our departure from this life. So the bottom line here seems to be that, although it may seem necessary to earn money, it is important not to over-value material wealth as is so much the case in the consensus reality of our third-density illusion. There is a great temptation to put our values in money and what it can buy rather than in “seeking first the kingdom and heaven and all these things will be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

In 23.15, Ra also offered some caution regarding the use of money during the time of Akhenaton because of the effect that it had on the Egyptians in enslaving them to a system of greed for money and power that removed their focus on the Creator that lived within each entity:

Questioner: I was really questioning more about the more basic cause of the disease rather than the mechanism of its transmission. I was going back to the root or thought which created the possibility of this disease. Could you shortly tell me if I am correct in assuming that the general reduction of thought over the long time on planet Earth with respect to an understanding of the Law of One created a condition in which this— what we call disease could develop? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct and perceptive. You, as questioner, begin now to penetrate the outer teachings.

The root cause in this particular society was not so much a bellicose action although there were, shall we say, tendencies, but rather the formation of a money system and a very active trading and development of those tendencies towards greed and power; thus, the enslaving of entities by other entities and the misapprehension of the Creator within each entity.

In regards to money, Q’uo also had some helpful advice on how we can look at money and how to use it:

“You ask us about the companionship of money and spirituality. It is written in one of your holy works that the love of money is the root of all evil. We would like to point out that it is the love of money, as it is any idolatry, which is at the root of separation, whether it be the separation of true worship of the great divine mystery because of pieces of wood and stone or the separation of one’s focus from that same mystery because of the love of counting. It is not the money itself which is contrary to a life led with a spiritual center, but the idolatrous love of that which is builded by man in imitation of the Creator’s abundance. Q’uo, December 20, 1986

In this quote Q’uo was in tune with the quotes from the Bible and from Ra, but Q’uo gave us more of an overview by emphasizing that it is the Creator’s abundance that is our ultimate support as we follow our spiritual journeys. Q’uo suggested that if we wish to seek true abundance in our lives, that may be found in appreciating the Creator’s universe in which we live and move and have our being. If we must face the reality of earning money to pay for our needs, then we can thank the Creator for giving us the chance for being in this world, learning the lessons of love of the Creator, and opening our hearts in unconditional love for those around us.

This focus upon the love of the Creator and Its creation gives us a path out of the temptations of our culture to glory in the hoarding of money as if we were trying to win a game of Monopoly. We may be forced to play the money game, but we do not need to be attached to money as a direct source of happiness. When we think about a career in any field of endeavor we would do well to think outside of the box of the ordinary work-a-day world. If you have gone to college you probably will have already done this as your major will provide you with opportunities that you are now prepared to take advantage of. If you haven’t gone to college then you will still have to think the same kind of thoughts as what you feel would satisfy your need to have a career that can bring you satisfaction and a feeling of rightness in meeting your own needs to support yourself and your family and in being of service to others.

It has been said, “To work is to pray,” and for those lucky enough, shall we say, to have found occupations which enable them to supply themselves with the necessities of survival which also feed the spirit, this is in the deepest sense true. You may find these people working with their hands to make beauty, working with their minds as channels of various forms of love, working among people in such a way that their very being is of service in a substantial manner. But for so many, my friends, the connection between the daily life and love, between action and meditation, is not apparent. And in order for you to become able to link in any way the work of empty form which you find yourselves performing and the work which is love, it is recommended that you begin with the meditation rather than with the work. Hatonn, February 4, 1982

In this quote Hatonn said that the ideal situation for whatever our occupation might be is to be able to support ourselves in a way that also is in harmony with our spiritual journeys. If we should be that fortunate, we will be in a situation where our work is literally and metaphysically a prayer of service and thanksgiving to the Creator. In such an ideal situation we will commune daily with love, beauty, purpose, and inspiration.

However, Hatonn recognized that this ideal work situation is not a reality for many people. Instead, “the work of empty formis all too often the situation that many people find themselves in. So many people have jobs that they don’t like but continue to pursue because it seems like their only choice. They feel stuck, unhappy, and unable to find a way to feel like they are really being of service to others in a meaningful way. Hatonn’s recommended solution was to engage in meditation, and perhaps contemplation and prayer as well, to ask within as to how to find an occupation that would be more aligned with one’s values and personal inspiration and satisfaction.

Q’uo also had another suggestion as to how to view right livelihood:

Your question also concerned right livelihood and, in truth, we have little to offer in this query except to reassure the one known as P that when an entity is serving the infinite Creator, in terms of his point of view, there is virtually no work that can be considered ill-chosen, even when an entity such as the one known as G, who is within this instrument’s mind at this time, chooses to work in a situation in which he is, in the eyes of the world, a simple server of beverages and food. This entity, because of his attitude of service to others and his determination to make a difference with his open heart and his loving energy, has fulfilled the requirement of right livelihood, which is to serve the one infinite Creator with, as this instrument would say, singleness of heart. Q’uo, August 4, 2004.

So it really isn’t so much what kind of work that you do as it is doing it with the desire to serve the Creator that is within each entity that you meet in any work that you do. This is the open-hearted attitude and work of the Player on the Enhanced Gameboard of life to find its right livelihood.

This morning I transplanted another three flats of portulaca in the garden along the parking area in front of the house, and this finished filling that area with these gorgeous, multi-colored flowers. Then I transplanted one flat of snapdragons into one of the small mounds between the Flower Fall Mound and the sidewalk in the front yard. They also have many colors and truly enliven the whole area with their beauty.

This afternoon I pulled the henbit weeds from the garden of day lilies that are growing all along the south side of the garage. Later this afternoon we are having our monthly channeling circle where each of our five instruments will channel a portion of a group question from those of Q’uo.

From A Book of Days, channeled by Carla L. Rueckert:

Be Still And Adore

I am of the consciousness of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in that full consciousness of love.

Be still!

Be still, each soul which seeks within and without for that stranger that you would identify as mystery.

Be still, each portal of sense and every shadow of pleasure and pain.

Be still! Let all come to rest, to kneel and adore. Let the self become a zero; a heavenly nothing. For only in the zero lies the infinity which then may fill the infinite space within which has been opened to the infinity without.

It is not by striving but by still surrender that the pilgrim of Earth shall know the place where he has been all the time.

We leave you in peace, now and always.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of service to country, armed forces, Peace Corps, etc. :

Service to Country, Armed Forces, Peace Corps, etc.

Ra suggested that members of the armed service, even in wartime, could polarize positively in certain circumstances:

One may find oneself in the situation of war and polarize somewhat towards the positive, activating orange, yellow, and then green by heroic, if you may call them this, actions taken to preserve the mind/body/spirit complexes of other-selves.

Finally, one may polarize very strongly fourth ray by expressing the principle of universal love at the total expense of any distortion towards involvement in bellicose actions. In this way the entity may become a conscious being in a very brief span of your time/space. This may be seen to be what you would call a traumatic progression. It is to be noted that among your entities a large percentage of all progression has, as catalyst, trauma.[1]

I am guessing that the “heroic actions” that would aid a soldier in activating the green ray would be, for example, jumping on a grenade to keep fellow soldiers alive. Ra also said that a person might “polarize very strongly fourth ray by expressing the principle of universal love at the total expense of any distortion towards involvement in bellicose actions.” I am guessing that this would entail refusing to join the military in times of people being drafted into the military due to the need for soldiers to fight in an existing war such as during the Viet Nam War. Becoming a conscientious objector would necessitate a great deal of exercising the higher ideals of seeing all bellicose actions as being of a negative polarity and seeing all people as worthy of love and respect. This would make such a person a conscious seeker of truth in the positive sense who would be living the Law of One.

However, for those who are not in the military, there may arise other opportunities to refrain from “warlike” attitudes and behaviors, and this, too, can reflect positive choices. Turning the other cheek, or not fighting back when physically or verbally attacked by another person would be a very heroic thing for a Player to do. Then that same Player could engage their would-be attacker in a conversation that might find the root of the animosity between them and seek to clarify and harmonize this relationship. Q’uo offered some inspiring advice as to how this type of harmonizing of our relationships with others could occur:

And we say to each who may wish to walk with others in the service of the one infinite Creator, love each other unconditionally; bide your words, bate your tongue, hold and release your judgments. Is not each attempting the very most it can attempt already? Have you not faith in each other to this extent, that you have faith each is attempting the impossible? You know it is impossible to act ideally in this illusion. The illusion is what you see. The illusion is what will form your actions, and they will be relative, not absolute. Again and again you yourselves shall perceive yourselves in error. Is it so strange you should perceive error in others also? But if you wish to work for love, if you wish to serve in love and light, love each other, care for each other, be for each other, advocate each other, burn with love and passion for the portion of each that wishes to serve. Is this not beautiful? Is this not beyond the understanding? Q’uo, April 29, 1990.

Many people, both men and women, learn skills in the military that allow them to have a career after their term in the military is concluded such as in flying planes, communication, construction of roads, dams, housing, etc. The experience and talents that they gained while in the military give them a means by which to be of greater service to others for the rest of their lives after their time in the military is complete. The military can actually be looked at as another form of education similar to going to college but without having to wait until your junior year to declare your major. The military focuses upon teaching certain skills from the beginning of joining whatever branch of the military one may decide to join.

As far as Peace Corps, and similar groups are concerned, many opportunities are offered for positive service to others. For example, the Teacher Corps, of which I was a member in the early ’70s, worked in the inner-city schools of this country in order to help kids there get better educations, as they were located in low-income areas that frequently did not have sufficient funds to afford up-to-date schools, classrooms, supplies, or salaries for teachers. This was perhaps a more obvious avenue for green-ray love than some other government jobs, especially given its collaborative nature working with input from local universities.

I think that service to one’s country and its people was exemplified in a most powerful, unexpected, and inspiring way by Muhammad Ali. He was an Olympic gold medal winner and a three-time heavyweight boxing champion of the world who used his fame and his talents as means by which to set an example later in life as to how people could use their own talents to be of service to others.  These are the six core principles by which Muhammad Ali lived which are taken from a film by Ken Burns, Sara Burns, and David McMahan:

There have been very few people in the world who have successfully been able to transcend their career or profession to become a symbol of larger, societal issues. As an athlete, Muhammad Ali was a three-time world heavyweight boxing champion and an Olympic gold medalist. He devoted himself to humanitarian work during his boxing career, and dedicated himself full-time to this life work since retiring from the ring. Ali always said that boxing was merely the vehicle that gave him the means to help others. His athletic achievements provided Ali with a platform to be heard, and he truly believed that he was put on this earth exactly for that reason—to use this unique gift to positively benefit humanity, one person at a time. Ali traveled the world on missions related to peace, building mutual respect, and healing. He was a United Nations Messenger of Peace and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was a man who believed that the greatest possibilities for global peace and unity begin with individual transformation. Muhammad Ali’s life embodied his principles and ideals. They guided him through the hard work necessary to be the best athlete he could be, and they gave him the strength and courage throughout his life to stand up for what he believed. It is Ali’s six core principles of confidence, conviction, dedication, respect, giving, and spirituality that inspired his work and that are embedded in the mission and goals of the Muhammad Ali Center in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The Muhammad Ali Center’s mission focuses on preserving and promoting Muhammad Ali’s legacy, sharing his SIX CORE PRINCIPLES, and being a repository of inspiration and guidance for all.

1 Confidence: belief in oneself, one’s abilities, and one’s future. Ali had the confidence and drive it took to become an Olympian and a world heavyweight champion. He possessed a “deep well” of belief in himself that gave him a second and third world heavyweight championship title. He lifted up people of color in the U.S. and around the world by announcing, “I’m so pretty” and “I’m The Greatest

2 Conviction: a firm belief that gives one the courage to stand behind that belief, despite pressure to do otherwise. Ali found the courage and commitment to become a conscientious objector—standing up for his beliefs, no matter what the consequences: “The real enemy of my people is right here. I will not disgrace my religion, my people or myself by becoming a tool to enslave those who are fighting for their own justice, freedom, and equality.”

3 Dedication: the act of devoting all of one’s energy, effort, and abilities to a certain task. From an early age, Ali found the physical endurance and discipline to become a world champion: roadwork, gym work, sparring, diet, positive mindset, and putting his dreams first.

4 Respect: esteem for, or a sense of the worth or excellence of, oneself and others. Ali’s life path led him to respecting self and others, his purpose and God. He recognized that attaining these ideals was individual, communal, and universal.

5 Giving: to present voluntarily without expecting something in return. Ali traveled the world to learn about its people and to offer assistance wherever he could. Even as a world champion, he did not see himself as different from others: “I’ll still walk in the ghettos, answer questions, and kiss babies. I’ll never forget my people.” Spirituality: a sense of awe, reverence, and inner peace inspired by a connection to all of creation and/or that which is greater than oneself. Ali believed that the world’s spiritual traditions have in common many heart-centered human values: love, hope, charity, justice, and peace. He worked across religious traditions to advance the dignity of all humanity and was grounded in his faith, yet acknowledged a higher power that connected us: “Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams—they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do—they all contain truths.”

Today, our city, country, and world are ripe for individuals making and being a positive difference. We can all become leaders in our communities by sharing an undeniable drive to achieve our individual and collective dreams, and by using the irrefutable characteristics that we all possess in order to be successful. The attainment of these dreams takes dedication, commitment, self-discipline, courage, and a strong moral centering. “It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.” —MUHAMMAD ALI “I am an ordinary man who worked hard to develop the talent I was given.

There are heart-centered people and groups located all around the world that have the goal of being of service to others in many different areas of human interaction. Let your heart be your guide to finding them.

This morning I transplanted three flats of portulaca in the long thin garden along the parking area in front of the house. Then I watered and fertilized them and sprayed them with deer repellant.

This afternoon I went back over to Thieneman’s Nursery and bought three more flats of portulaca which should finish off that area when I transplant them tomorrow.

The Inward House Of Prayer

I am of the principle of the love of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of that living love.

If you seek to do the Father’s will this day, be not satisfied with actions which leave a residue within the mind and spirit of anxiety, restlessness and fatigue. For if these things are felt, then mundane concerns have not been sacrificed in order that the spirit may be dead to Earth and made alive to the moving will of the Creator.

If goodly and Godly effort has fatigued you, turn to the inward house of prayer and offer up the self with all of the opinions and requirements of the world in which you live.

And await the refreshment that the spirit gives to those who pray. For it is the soul refreshed in spirit which faces all earthly tasks without a sense of labor and all mundane toils without the expectation of fatigue.

Be only satisfied in prayer when the state of mind that is within you is that the world is alive and filled with joy, as the spirit moves and recreates all that there is to become more and more the image and manifestation of love.

We leave you in the inward peace which is the hallmark of the consciousness of love amidst any circumstance.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. The 102 quote today comes from Chapter Four and the concept of politics:

Politics

The world of politics is an area of human interaction which Confederation sources have little to say as far as providing the spiritual seeker a helpful way of being of service as Q’uo suggested in the following quote.

We cannot tell you not to be concerned about politics, society, economics and culture. Depending upon your own judgment and your own free will, we encourage you and all entities to follow your heart, to define those gifts that you might feel to share with your society and your culture that might make it better. This is your free will and your good work to do if you wish it. What we are here to speak with you concerning is something far simpler and at the same time something far greater.

We come to tell you a story about love: love unconditional, love unlimited, love that creates and destroys. It is a simple concept: this one great original Thought of unconditional love creating the universe in order to know more about Itself.[1]

Q’uo suggested that if we feel that we can be of service in the political arena that it is certainly our free will choice to do so. It may be that a person with an open heart could make a real difference in the world as a politician, but it might be hard to do so as governmental politics is basically the exercise of power by one faction over another faction rather than seeing all factions as one being. Ra gave the general overview of politics from the point of view loving others being more important than exercising political power for the benefit of people.

Questioner: Thank you. Would you give me the same type of information about the self in relation to the societal self?

Ra: I am Ra. The unmanifested self may find its lessons those which develop any of the energy influx centers of the mind/body/spirit complex. The societal and self interactions most often concentrate upon the second and third energy centers. Thus those most active in attempting to remake or alter the society are those working from feelings of being correct personally, or of having answers which will put power in a more correct configuration. This may be seen to be of a full travel from negative to positive in orientation. Either will activate these energy ray centers.

There are some few whose desires to aid society are of a green-ray nature or above. These entities, however, are few due to the understanding, may we say, of fourth ray that universal love freely given is more to be desired than principalities, or even the rearrangement of peoples or political structures.[2]

But Ra also spoke about Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was the president of the United States during WWII, and who had an open heart and even an activated blue-ray energy center. Ra suggested that, in general, the political arena is one in which people are utilizing their orange- and yellow-ray energy centers. So the ability to be of service to others would be somewhat reduced in that politics partakes so heavily in the exercise of power over others. This power is reflected in the campaigning process where each side in the political debates seeks to present itself as having the best answers to current social problems and, at the same time, attempts to denigrate its political opponent.

However, Ra also suggested that some entities within the political spectrum may be operating from the green ray, or even higher, in their desires to truly be of service to others.  It is not surprising that such entities are quite rare because such entities would also be most likely to be aware, as Ra said in an earlier quote, “that universal love freely given is more to be desired than principalities, or even the rearrangement of peoples or political structures.” Along this line of thinking it may be that Franklin D. Roosevelt was of such a nature as Ra mentioned in this quote:

The one known as Franklin developed very quickly up through red, orange, yellow, and green, and began to work in the blue-ray energy center at a tender age, as you would say. This rapid growth was due, firstly, to previous achievements in the activation of these rays; secondly, to the relative comfort and leisure of its early existence; thirdly, due to the strong desire upon the part of the entity to progress. This entity mated with an entity whose blue-ray vibrations were of a strength more than equal to its own, thus acquiring catalyst for further growth in that area that was to persist throughout the incarnation.[3]

But even a shining soul such as Franklin Roosevelt was subject to the nature of the usual political process of gaining power when he exercised his orange- and yellow-ray energies more than his green- and blue-ray energies. This caused what Ra later described as a pre-incarnatively made choice to contract polio if he should move into the abusive use of power as Ra described in the following quote:

The limitation of the non-movement of a portion of the physical vehicle opened once again, for this entity, the opportunity for concentration upon the more, shall we say, universal, or idealistic, aspects of power; that is, the non-abusive use of power. Thus at the outset of a bellicose action this entity had lost some positive polarity due to excessive use of the orange- and yellow-ray energies at the expense of green- and blue-ray energies, then had regained the polarity due to the catalytic effects of a painful limitation upon the physical complex.[4]

Franklin Roosevelt’s presidency took place during the Second World War, and it was fortunate that he was able to utilize his green- and blue-ray energies to reflect his non-bellicose nature during that time. However, he was apparently a little less successful in maintaining that attitude with his wife according to Ra in this quote:

This entity was not of a bellicose nature, but rather, during the conflict, continued to vibrate in green ray working with the blue-ray energies. The entity who was the one known as Franklin’s teacher also functioned greatly during this period as blue-ray activator, not only for its mate but also in a more universal expression. This entity polarized continuously in a positive fashion in the universal sense while, in a less universal sense, developing a pattern of what may be called karma; this karma having to do with inharmonious-relationship distortions with the mate/teacher.[5]

So it is possible to be of true service to others within the political arena, but it is a very difficult “row to hoe” as there is little support for such high ideals in the rough and tumble world of politics This becomes more and more obvious as we look out upon the political situation in our country now. There is so much anger and confusion about almost every topic one can name: abortion rights, gun rights, global warming, immigration, stolen elections, the January 6 hearings, racism, sexism, supporting transgender children in schools, forgiving student loans, minimum wage laws, housing and renter’s rights, the future of our economy, US support for Ukraine, voters’ rights, and Covid. Any of these topics can set off a wildfire of opinions pro and con and further serve to divide people from each other. It is hard to have a conversation in a calm and compassionate sense about any of these topics, so the political atmosphere seems to be getting more turbulent as time goes on, and one wonders how all of these areas of concern will play out and affect the collective human heart. However, I believe that the Player on the Enhanced Gameboard of Life will be able to keep their heart open to all sides in every area of argument because, in truth, we are all one, and we know that there is love in every moment. In this quote Q’uo seems to share this point of view:

As you look at the Middle East, know that all is well. And if you wish to explore the details of the politics of violence and aggression that make the front pages red with blood, do this studying and this research not to despair but to know ever more clearly the nature of the world that you came to incarnation to love.

And my brother, we ask that you allow no judgment to enter into this love. Praise and bless those who seem to be persecuting and hurting the common man and woman in these difficult and challenging times that you now experience. Let your mind and your heart rest in peace. The outer world shall not hear you, but all of those in the unseen realms who vibrate in unconditional love do hear you and are called to your prayers to amplify them and to strengthen them. You are doing the good work of compassion and love as you offer these simple prayers and visualizations in order to maximize your ability to serve in this way.

We recommend that, as this group does, you set aside time each day, if only just a moment, to visualize peace, harmony and understanding, not only in the Middle East but in all portions of your far-flung globe. We assure you that you are having a wonderful affect on the inner planes. Allow the rest to fall away, for empires rise and fall. The spiritual evolution moves along without regard to the illusion created by power and breath. Q’uo, July 31, 2007.

In light of Q’uo’s recommendation that we visualize peace, harmony, and understanding for all the places on earth that there are wars, at L/L Research we have a meditation for Mother Earth and her population each evening at 6:30 pm Eastern Time. We invite anyone to join us at whatever time they are able to do so and offer this prayer:

We come in the name of love and open our hearts, minds, and souls to send love, light, and healing energy to Mother Earth as she brings forth a new Earth in the fourth density. We ask that the infinite love, light and healing energy of the One Infinite Creator heal the hearts of all souls in pain on Earth tonight. May all souls on Earth feel our love, light, and healing energy in their hearts, their minds, and their souls. Amen.

This morning I completed the transplanting of the Sunpatiens into the Flower Fall Mound in the front yard and the Sun Mandala in the back yard.

This afternoon I used my trimmer to weed the Moss Garden and the Ruins Mound. Then I ran an errand to pick up some food at Paul’s Fruit Market. I also stopped at Thieneman’s Nursery and picked up three flats of portulaca to plant in the flower beds along the parking area in front of my house.

From A Book of Days, channeled by Carla L. Rueckert:

The Power Of The Presence

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of unconditional love.

As we scan the concerns that fill the minds of those present, we find this instrument suffering for a planet which has been damaged by its own kind. We find this concern, too, in all those whose minds we touch who are praying to the spirit at this time.

Know that the spirit is powerful. There is a prayer this instrument says daily and because it is the creation of a truth applicable to this situation, we repeat it using this instrument’s mind:

“Come Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love. Send forth your spirit and we shall be created and you shall renew the face of the Earth. O Thou Who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy Its consolation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

Do not feel powerless! Seek and ask for the spirit of living love, the powerful consciousness of the Christ. That power is no power without each of you. So pray, not to renew the face of the Earth upon your own but rather that the spirit may come upon you and transfigure and transform you. For in that process alone shall the creation be made new, whole, lovely and perfect.

We urge each to experience within itself the power of the presence of love. Let it renew you. And then, by being yourselves and acting as you must, shall your sphere become once more a lovely, healthy dwelling place for consciousness.

In love, healing and peace we leave you, now and ever.

Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of religion:

Religion

There is to each religion the revealed or outer aspect, and the inner, occult, or mystical aspect, and we find that it is in the mystical aspect that the religions have the tendency to unity and to harmonize, so that a mystical Buddhist can speak to a mystical Christian, a mystical Jew, or a mystical Oriental worshipper and have a very few communication problems, because mysticism focuses on essence and not on detail.

It is in the revealed or outer aspect of each religion that we find the bulk of the challenging material for those who seek to be inspired by religion. For in each religion you will find in the outer or settled church aspect of the religion the tendency to be dogmatic. The advantage of dogma is a simple and vital one, and we find that many among your peoples have the necessity for a dogmatic type of belief system. In such a system there is a certain list of things that are believed and are held to be true and a certain list of things that are specifically not believed and are held to be untrue.[1]

Q’uo said that most world religions share inner and outer aspects, and that the outer aspects can be quite opposite in their manifestation and ability to harmonize with other religions. The outer type of manifestation of most religions tends to be what Q’uo called “dogmatic.” The dogma of most world religions consists of a set of basic tenets. These are created by the religious institutional hierarchy and tend to be simplified beliefs that tend to divide one religion from all other religions. Such dogmatic beliefs are often the beginning points for arguments between the followers of each religion.

The inner or mystical nature of each religion has the opposite effect upon the believers. Those who follow the mystical way are seeking what turns out to be the unifying aspects of spiritual seeking and finding some portion of the one Creator within themselves. These are transformative experiences which tend to occur in similar ways for any religious adherent, and those who have had such experiences feel a broader point of view that reveals the unity of the creation and its manifestation in all people who are seen as equal children of the one Creator.

In the following quote from Ra, similar information is given regarding the Hebrew faith that was connected with the Ark of the Covenant and the negative influences that the Orion group sought to promulgate as their dogma.

Questioner: Was this a device for communication then? You said they also drew power from it. What type of power? How did this work?

Ra: I am Ra. This was charged by means of the materials with which it was built being given an electromagnetic field. It became an object of power in this way. And, to those whose faith became that untarnished by unrighteousness or separation, this power, designed for negativity, became positive, and is so to those truly in harmony with the experience of service to this day.

Thus the negative forces were partially successful, but the positively oriented Moishe, as this entity was called, gave to your planetary peoples the possibility of a path to the One Infinite Creator which is completely positive.

This is in common with each of your orthodox religious systems which have all become somewhat mixed in orientation yet offer a pure path to the One Creator which is seen by the pure seeker.[2]

Here, Don asked Ra about the Ark of the Covenant which was apparently designed by negatively-oriented entities during the time of Moses. It was meant to be a source of power that could control the followers of Moses. However, because Moses was such a positively-oriented being, he was able to use that positivity in a manner that created a purely positive path to the one infinite Creator. Ra also said that even thought all the major religions on Earth have become “somewhat mixed in orientation,” each one also offers a purely positive path to the one Creator for the pure seeker. I take this to mean that a pure seeker would be a more spiritually mature person who would be aware that the concepts of love of all and unity with all are the qualities of any religion to be valued above any dogma.

I believe that the term “pure seeker” would be a person such as Carla who considered herself a mystical Christian. What this means in the practical sense is that, in her own words, she “did not do dogma.” She said that she concentrated on the red print of the King’s James’ version of the Bible because, as these words were said to have been spoken by Jesus, she believed them to be less distorted.  Carla sang in the church choir from the age of four, and throughout her life she participated in the Episcopal Church services with her whole heart as she felt that singing sacred music was food for her soul. She could sing either alto or soprano, and her ability to come in on time whenever the music called for it helped the rest of her section do likewise.

For Carla the Holy Communion was truly a magical event in which the wine and the wafer became the blood and body of Jesus. In 64.4, Ra spoke to this point in particular and to Carla’s need to attend weekly church services in general:

Questioner: Thank you. Could you explain the basic principles behind the ritual which we perform to initiate the contact and what I would call the basic white magical rituals—principles of protection and other principles? Could you please do this?

Ra: I am Ra. Due to your avenue of question we perceive the appropriateness of inclusion of the cause of this instrument’s transitory vital-energy distortion. The cause is a bias towards the yearning for expression of devotion to the One Creator in group worship.

This entity was yearning for this protection both consciously in that it responds to the accoutrements of this expression, the ritual, the colors and their meanings as given by the distortion system of what you call the church, the song of praise, and the combined prayers of thanksgiving, and, most of all, that which may be seen to be most centrally magical: the intake of that food which is not of this dimension, but has been transmuted into metaphysical nourishment in what this distortion of expression calls the Holy Communion.

The subconscious reason, it being the stronger for this yearning, was the awareness that such expression is—when appreciated by an entity as the transmutation into the presence of the One Creator—a great protection of the entity as it moves in the path of service to others.

The principle behind any ritual of the white magical nature is to so configure the stimuli which reach down into the trunk of mind that this arrangement causes the generation of disciplined and purified emotion, or love, which then may be both protection and the key to the gateway to intelligent infinity.

Carla’s love of Jesus and her devotion to weekly church services, as I mentioned earlier, was developed when she was only two years old and began to have her spiritual experiences with Jesus on her journeys to her Magic Garden. She felt that the church services gave her more ability to be of service to others and feel the love of Jesus coming through her heart for all others. She was able to see people more at the level of the soul rather than simply personality shells as she used to say.

During the Ra contact Carla very much appreciated Ra’s suggestion that we put the Bible, incense, candle, and chalice of water at her head for each session as these were the items with which she dressed the church altar. In 3.4, Ra explained how these items aided Carla:

The incense acts as energizer to the physical body of this instrument, signifying its humanity. This is, therefore, a necessity that the wafted smoke is perceived from the same relative angle as the instrument perceives the opened Bible, balanced by the lighted candle signify[ing] love/light and light/love and, therefore, give the mental and emotional, shall we call it, distortion complex of this instrument the sight of paradise and peace which it seeks. Thus energized from the lower to the higher, the instrument becomes balanced and does not grow fatigued.

In the overall sense Carla felt that the Law of One was an internally consistent philosophy which totally supported her religious beliefs and her desire to be of service to the One Infinite Creator and any person that might give her an opportunity to be of service to them.

When I was researching Q’uo sessions regarding philosophical beliefs I came up with the following channeling which ipressed me with the depth and breadth of some of the most inspiring information I have ever read. It covered the areas of philosophy, religion, and the One Creator. So I have copied in order to shar it in its entirety without further comment:

February 18, 2007

Group question: The question this week has to do with the various religions that we have on planet Earth. They all seem to have a center of truth, but each religion also seems to have a number of adherents who interpret it their own way and who become fanatic in one way or another, trying make the religion into a dogma, to say this is the way and the only way. Is this a human trait? And how can we really know what is the true path for each of us? It seems like each of us has that spark of the Creator in us that recognizes truth and we are more reminded of truth than informed of truth. Can Q’uo give us some general principles as to how look at the various religions and how to find what is “the way” for us?

(Carla channeling)

Q’uo: We are those known to you as the principle of Q’uo. Greetings, my friends, in the love and in the light of the one infinite Creator, in Whose service we come to you this day. Thank you for creating a circle of seeking. Thank you for inviting us to join that circle. Thank you for the excellent question concerning how each seeker may find his own way amidst the welter of seemingly disparate theories of who God is and what the nature of creation is. It is our privilege to share our thoughts with you on this interesting subject.

As always, we would ask that each entity listen carefully for resonance, not only in the things we have to say but in listening to all opinion from whatever source. You are fully able to feel that resonance and that spark of interest and we would encourage you to wait for that resonance and that spark rather than taking everything that we have to say as being equally useful. We thank you for this discrimination on each of your parts. It allows us to speak our thoughts to you without being concerned that we will inadvertently infringe upon your free will or disturb your sacred process of evolution in mind, body and spirit.

You ask this day concerning how to wend your way amidst the amazing array of religious and philosophical opinion concerning the nature of the godhead, the nature of creation, and the nature and purpose of human life. In former days we would not have been able to have such a simple beginning to a discourse upon this subject. The progress of your science has enabled us to have a fairly straightforward entry into the doorway of the nature of the created universe.

Investigation has shown that which seems to be solid matter is actually made up largely of a plenum or a space in which there is no mass, very thinly populated by energy vortices. These energy vortices are the atoms and molecules that make up the cells of your body as well as the material of all other things that you can see, feel, touch, taste and smell.

These energy fields cooperate together and nest within one another in various ways according to the nature of attraction and repulsion, forming the universe that you see. Scientific inquiry has proven that all parts of the universe communicate and are connected with all other parts of the universe, so that the universe is one thing. This is not given to you by priests or prophets but by your scientists, who have become the priests and prophets of your culture, if we may give it that name.

What is the nature, then, of these vibratory patterns that arrange themselves hierarchically so as to create orders of magnitude, creating everything from the atoms and molecules within the cells [of] your body to the star systems within your galaxy? We of the Confederation of Planets in the Service of the Infinite Creator have identified the nature of these hierarchically unitive and harmonious energy fields as being that of love. The energy that created the stars is that of love. The energy that created you is the energy of love. That does not define love, for if love is all that there is, there is nothing to which to compare it. There’s nothing from which to contrast it. In its undistorted form it is forever a mystery, unable to be plumbed by centers of consciousness which are aware of themselves. The truth of the universe lies most profoundly in the unknowable reaches of the mystery of the love and the light of the One Infinite Creator.

Yet the universe is unitive. And it is unitive in a certain way. It is unitive holographically. Any one spark of the infinite Creator contains the entire nature of the One Infinite Creator. Every cell of your body sings the song of the One Infinite Creator. The suns in their courses sing the song of the One Infinite Creator. There is fullness to the universe that is intense, as if every particle and iota of the universe were stuffed to bursting with the love and the light of life. You experience life as you breathe in and breathe out. And you ask what this experience is, for you are aware of yourself. And certainly you have many, many voices in your ear, happy to explain precisely what life is and how to live that life in a good way.

Please understand, as you look back over some of your more difficult experiences with authority figures who have attempted to tell you what to believe, that every entity who seeks to serve the Infinite Creator can fall into what the one known as T called “the trap” of teaching in such a way as to constrict the energies of those listening to his words. Let us look at that energy of the authority figure who wishes to teach well, in order to come into a more compassionate and charitable understanding of what drives such an entity.

An entity who is moved and inspired by whatever agency, personality or inspired writing becomes aware of himself in a special way. He becomes aware of how alive he is, and he thinks, “I must give this gift, this wonderful life I feel, to others! I must pass on this wonderful inspiration that is given to me!” There is generally no intention of doing anything other than the purest of good. However, the trap of dogma is always waiting for the teacher.

It is a wise teacher indeed who is able to differentiate between his personal experiences with the divine and that which is helpfully expressed concerning seeking the divine. In a world that wishes to codify, organize and arrange life in an orderly manner, the mystical view, which is found at the heart of all religions and many philosophies as well, while greatly appealing, is found cumbersome and awkward to teach. When you’re speaking of something that is indescribable and ineffable, words fail.

The human tendency, then, is to apply an organization to the mystery of the one Creator. And different religions have had different reasons to create different structures of belief, which have hardened into dogma. If the Creator is infinite love and infinite light, and if the creation is evolving continuously forever, then there is continuously more of truth than there was before. Consciousness is continuously expanding. The problem with any dogma, then, is that it cannot re-form itself to hold the new truth that is flowing forth at every moment from the creative principle.

As the seasons change, as the grass blooms and withers again and again, so the consciousness of humankind evolves and grows. You are a point of that consciousness. You have access in your very nature, in every cell of your body, in every thought that you think to the one infinite Creator in its undistorted form. Yet that truth lies deeply protected in you. It is protected from your casual thoughts. It is protected from the stormy seas of your daily, conscious experience. It is protected by its placement within your heart. The mind and all of its intellectual forces cannot storm the bastion of the open heart.

Entities, then, seeking to share bits of their truth with others, become invested in this codified, formalized, organized structure of thoughts that add up to a way to seek the one infinite Creator. With the gift of hindsight, scholars have often pontificated as to where a certain religion went wrong or how a certain religion has everything right. Yet as soon as the seeking for the one infinite Creator becomes codified and organized beyond a certain point, it can be a delimiting influence rather than an expansive influence.

Many churches and many different religions decide to bypass the intellect and rest upon the opening of the heart. They engage in song after song that praises the one infinite Creator within the language and clothing of that particular religion. Their members are perhaps encouraged to pray out loud and to become ecstatic. And in the surging of the rhythmic cadences of the songs, in the prayers and the praise, the love and light of the one infinite Creator seem palpable. And therefore the experience of those seeking the Creator in these ways has a certain amount of purity to it which is missing from those more intellectually organized religions where the mind is the tool used to probe at the meaning of life, of what it is to be a human being and what it is to serve the one infinite Creator.

Interestingly enough, love is the one great force that all entities know intimately, but which resists definition completely. And indeed, to attempt to use words to describe love is to attempt to build a great edifice out of pebbles. Love is all that there is. That one Thought is the creation. And you have a port on the ocean of that Thought in your heart of hearts. Therefore, you are as equipped as any entity in the universe to seek the One Infinite Creator. You have primary access to the direct experience of the Creator.

And indeed, it was for that purpose that you came into this illusion. You are gathering information. You are working with that information according to the biases of your personality and your desires. And as you gather your life experiences, each of you makes choices which open to you a way to move forward and to progress. And each of you has had this experience of awakening and coming to the realization that you are a truly powerful entity, able to question and able to seek. Once an entity has awakened and has begun to ask the deeper questions, a rhythm begins to occur between Creator and created. The asking and the answering becoming as entwined as a heartbeat, in and out, pulsing, pulsing, pulsing, so that as you ask, so you receive; as you ask, so you receive.

It [is] instantaneous and constant in your life. You have at each heartbeat, at each breath, the opportunity to ask and the opportunity to receive an answer. The sticking point here is that that answer comes within the mystery of silence. And it oozes up into your conscious experience almost as a surprise to you. You have learned by osmosis. You have soaked up the truth. And as you live out your life you discover what you are learning as it shows up in your thinking. And many are the epiphanies and “aha’s” of a spiritual life in which the seeker is content to let this teaching occur mostly in the silence of meditation, contemplation and the deep resting in whatever practices create for you personally a sacred chamber in which to tell the secrets of your heart to the loving ears of the One Infinite Creator.

You are consciousness. It is not something you possess. It is not a characteristic of you. Consciousness lives your life to the extent you can get the details of your personality out of the way. And yet the details of your personality are all valuable. Therefore, the perfectly natural desire of the intensely devoted student to cast aside the personality and devote the self entirely to the silence is, for most entities, a solution that shall not be satisfying. For most entities, each coloration and quirk of the personality is there for a reason. Each seeming challenge, difficulty and sorrow that occurs in the life has been placed there not to make you stumble but to help you learn.

Entities who give themselves over to a religion and accept its dogma simplify their path in a certain way. And if they are able to dwell within that simplified structure of thought without falling into the trap of judgment of the self and other selves when they do not believe as you do, they are very likely to be able to use that religion as a way to the infinite Creator that works well. For each religion teaches the basic love of other people and the love of the one infinite Creator. And if an entity loves the Creator and loves the neighbor as the self, however that is put, the path to graduation from third density is clear. The choices to serve others has been made. The work is good.

More and more, however, as entities have matured after many, many incarnations within third density, entities find themselves unable to restrict themselves to the dogma and the canon law of a particular religion. And when entities find themselves unable to do this, then they are set on a new path, a path of their own choosing, a path which they will create themselves. Any entity can create within himself a way, a truth, and a life if he begins and ends with love.

We would not for all the world criticize or undermine those who are in any religion or believe any philosophy. The paths to the One Infinite Creator are as many as the self-conscious beings who seek that Creator. Your way will be unique to you, just as everyone else’s way is unique to them. It helps to see religion for the kind of powerful influence that it is. If you may see the forces of religion to include that of the world as well as that of the starry heavens, then you may see how quickly the energy of a new religion can become heavy and bogged down with dogma and politics.

Look at the religion that this instrument understands the best, for it is her own: the Christian church. It began in the mysticism of the Essenes. The one known as Jesus the Christ was trained and trained in the Essene way as well as in the scholarship of the Jewish religion. This entity’s stories and parables were about simple things: being a peacemaker; understanding that he who loves the prisoner, the orphan, the widow, is loving Jesus the Christ; understanding that he who feeds the hungry is feeding Jesus the Christ.

Jesus asked entities to care for each other and to hold all things in common. There was not in any of his teaching instruction on making a church. Indeed, this entity had no home, and during his peripatetic ministry, he walked on dusty trails with very little of worldly goods at all. In his name, and in his memory, humankind has created a monstrous, rich, arrogant, political organization with many beautiful buildings which reach to the heavens with their spires and their crosses. Yet within them there is no virtue, except in the hearts of those who still seek the Infinite Creator and use those sacred spaces to do so.

Look at any new idea and it is alive! It has a dynamic energy to it that excites people, and people want to capture that and pass that on to their children and their children’s children. And so they make another building, another religion, another code to try to capture that which cannot be captured. At the same time you must appreciate what religion has done for entities on planet Earth. It has given the intellect something to gnaw on. In many different ways it offers people a chance to meet the Creator.

Whether you seek within the bounds of a religion or whether the path upon which you walk is one you have created yourself, your very nature demands that you will meet the Creator, again and again. Things will happen to you that are meaningful to you personally and that move your consciousness from one point to another. Whether you are an indigenous entity that has never read a book, an auto mechanic, a college professor, or the most rarified mystic meditating upon the roof of the world in Nepal or Tibet, you have an equal opportunity to meet the Creator upon the road of your everyday life.

Appreciate religion for what it has offered, to you and to all. In the mystery of the One Infinite Creator there are no roads. There is no way to think upon the sacred. The only opportunity you have is to be the sacred, and therefore to know it from the inside out. Within churches and temples and synagogues and mosques the world over, you have entities and groups of entities who are dedicated to preserving a certain structure which has been helpful to many entities in their search for the infinite Creator. This instrument, for example, chose long ago, in her childhood, to live a life of faith within the Christian church as the path of her life.

As she understands it—as she understood it then and as she understands it now—there was a particular virtue to dedicating her life to Christ. This entity was a devotee in a religion that does not usually have devotees, of that particular kind which this entity is. That is, she was not hungry to soak up the dogma, but rather hungry for the mystery that she felt bursting the bonds of dogma. And she understood that, in any sacred writing, there is a database of inspired thought which bursts the bonds of words when heard again and again in different circumstances of life. And so this entity lives her “rule of life.” She continues to study the same database, the Holy Bible, which she has studied for her entire life. And yet she has rejected all dogma by conscious decision.

Now, each entity can make this kind of choice for himself. And indeed it is necessary to look carefully, and with the artist’s eye, at how to live a rule of life. We do recommend that each entity create a kind of rule of life for himself. What we cannot recommend is how that rule of life goes. You need to walk your own path, paying attention for that which the moment brings to you. Some entities are drawn irresistibly to the Christian faith. Some entities are drawn just as irresistibly to the Buddhist faith. There is a path for just about every personality type. And yet all of these paths hold the barest skeleton of truth in its ineffable and mysterious form. All of those structures of thought that religions represent fail. None of them satisfies that thirst to know the truth.

This instrument is informing us that we must stop this discussion at this point, so we would end with this thought: you are the possessor of truth, but you do not know that you are. However, the Creator is generous in arranging for you within third density an illusion in which nothing can be known, and yet in which you can come to know with a particularly resonant awareness what your path is or what your truth is.

You cannot make it happen. What you can do is to set yourself up in an environment which is capable of holding gnosis, or knowing. Therefore, trust in your own senses, sensings, thoughts and feelings. As you seek to awaken, to seek and to serve, listen and look for the resonances that tell you that you are on the path that is for you. Once you start looking for resonance, you will find that the creation is full of information for you. And the more that you practice listening, the more that you can hear of the voices that are speaking to you in every moment.

We lift you up and honor you in our thoughts and in our hearts. For you have the courage to probe the darkness, knowing that there is nothing but light. We wish you well on your seeking, and thank you for the opportunity to share these humble thoughts with you as you go upon your way.

This morning I went outside and completed the transplanting of the 60 Sunpatiens that I bought two days ago. Then I added fertilizer to a watering can and watered and fertilized them. Shortly thereafter I was on a zoom meet with the Law of One Study Group in Berlin, and there were many great questions asked in this Q & A session. As many of these Q & A sessions as I have had over the last few years I am amazed that it is very rare when I hear any question repeated from previous zoom meets.

This afternoon I returned to Thieneman’s Nursery and bought another 42 Sunpatiens to complete the transplanting in the Flower Fall and also to transplant into the Sun Mandala in the back yard.

From A Book of Days, channeled by Carla L. Rueckert:

April 16

At One With Love

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

Become very quiet. This moment is the linchpin of your busy day. This is your moment of communion. This is your heavenly meal.

For in this silence, in this moment, as your heart opens its inner door, so may you become Christed, at one with love. Thus the roots of your spirit are fed and you are given the strength to do that which it is for you to do this day.

Perhaps you will move very quickly this day. The spirit moves quickly with you. Remember as the day goes by to touch into that place of communion in the heart and you will find that love is always with you, as Jesus the Christ said, until the end of the age.

Root yourself in heaven and give your fruit to the world of the Creator that many think is the world of humankind. Let the smile upon your face be a smile knowing of the untruth of a world ever without love.

For love is in the midst of you. Love has created you. Love sustains you. And love will give you work to do. At the end of your silence, at the end of your listening, go gladly to that work and rejoice that you are alive to experience the love in this day, with these challenges.

We leave you in love and peace, now and forever.

Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and the got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of challenges—suicide:

Challenges—Suicide

My sister, it is not our intention or our right to stand in judgment over the actions of another entity. For this reason, we would strongly suggest that those present be aware that such an action is, although not positively polarizing in most cases, an acceptable form of death for those who seek a different avenue of progress. We, being of a positive orientation, regard this as a detrimental action in that, as you are aware, it terminates the possibility of attainment before a number of lessons are offered. It also acts in a less than selfless manner upon the lives of others who had chosen to interaction with the now dead individual for the purpose of that individual’s and their own learning. Again, this, as it exerts control and influences the learning progression of others, can be regarded as beneficial to those whose path lies in the direction of negative orientation. However, for those who seek positive polarization we, in the majority of cases, would strongly suggest avoiding this path.[1]

In this quote on suicide, Latwii did not condemn a person for committing suicide because Latwii is of a positive polarity. Latwii could see the overview that reveals how all actions will eventually lead the seeker of truth to their proper destination, if not in this incarnation, then in another incarnation. But Latwii did state quite clearly that suicide would stop the desired lessons that were planned for the present incarnation, and they did not recommend suicide.

As Ra said: “It is to be noted that among your entities a large percentage of all progression has, as catalyst, trauma.”[2] Before the incarnation it can be seen by the seeker that such trauma within the upcoming incarnation could produce a great deal of growth if it could be processed with love and acceptance. However, within the incarnation this overview would not be available, and the seeker may have “bitten off more that it could chew” and decide to end its life rather than submit to more disease, disharmony, or misery of one kind or another.

And, further, Latwii also focused on the devasting effect that suicide has upon the remaining friends and loved ones of the one who commits suicide. The survivors of the suicide of a loved one may feel a much more intense grief at this type of death than one by disease, accident, or old age. They may also feel that there must have been something they could have done to keep the loved one from committing suicide. And it doesn’t matter that such thoughts are usually incorrect. The feeling of loss is just overwhelming to the loved ones left behind.

Carla and I went through this heart-wrenching process when Don Elkins committed suicide on November 7, 1984, after a year of declining mental and physical health. We were with him every step of the way as the mental and emotional dysfunction came about that Ra predicted was possible in the last session that we had with them:

The questioner is one also in the midst of further initiation. During this space/time the possibility for mental/emotional distortion approaching that which causes the entity to become dysfunctional is markèd.[3]

We tried everything that we could think of to help our beloved spiritual companion Don deal with the paranoia and the unique metaphysical components that accompanied his decline, but sadly, Don eventually took his life. If anyone is interested in reading further about our experience with Don’s suicide, I wrote an article on the 34th Anniversary of his passing detailing our shared experience. You can find it by Googling “The 34th Anniversary of the passing of Don Elkins.”

We were fortunate, however, that Carla was able to see Don twice in waking visions after his death. Each time Don assured Carla that all had turned out as was appropriate, but that we would not be able to see how that could be until we, too, passed through death’s door. Even with that assurance, it took Carla six years of therapy with a Jungian therapist before she could be free of her own suicidal feelings that came after Don’s death and feel love for herself and her life once again. In 2000 L/L Research published Carla’s A Wanderer’s Handbook, and she ended the section on Suicide with this passage:

If you are contemplating suicide, I wish to call you back to the forces of your own unfinished life and work, this present reality with all its challenges and pain. Examine this choice with extreme care. Perhaps there is AIDS or cancer or fear of the final stages of a disease. Yet you live; and always, this is for a reason. As you read these words, I encourage you to find ways to open up to love and self-confidence, to faith and hope, to finding your feet and finding self-forgiveness. Come back to life! I do not feel we are through at this banquet until the celestial waiter brings the check! Eat and drink of life’s sweetness in the tiny ways, in stepping outside and smelling the dew on the grass, the rain in the air, the honeysuckle in bloom, or taking the time to imagine them. Renew the springs of your faith, and keep three words as your motto till you are on safe ground again: “Never give up.[4]

This morning I ran some errands with the first stop being at Thieneman’s Nursery to pick up some sunpatiens. Then I stopped at Paul’s Fruit Market to get some food for myself. My third stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store to pick up a birthday card for a friend of mine. My last stop was at Concepts Cleaning to drop off my vacuum cleaner which stopped running in the middle of my vacuuming of the first floor of the house yesterday. Fortunately, I have a second, smaller vacuum cleaner that I was able to finish vacuuming with.

This afternoon I went outside and transplanted 32 of the 64 sunpatiens that I bought this morning. I transplanted them into the Flower Fall Mound in the front yard, and then I fertilized them with water into which I had put the Miracle Grow fertilizer that I bought this morning when I bought the sunpatiens.

You Seek The Uncreated Things

I am of the consciousness of love and I greet you in the name of Jesus the Christ.

I am the spirit, created before all worlds and uncreated, attaching creation to un-creation in the fullness of the Father.

Before your minds lie things created. And yet you seek the uncreated things, that which you call the mystery. You need seek no further than the depths and recesses of your being. Each soul is uncreated as well as created, potential as well as active, unstructured as well as infinite, full and whole, with a wholeness of that which is not created but merely is a gift.

For love is that substance which not only is created but creates its own creation from itself. Never fear that you shall lack, in the spirit of love, to be able to offer love in any amount if you but seek the uncreated strength and fullness of the spirit of Jesus Christ. Infinity lies within you and light which seems inaccessible to the eyes is accessible in prayer.

We leave you in the peace of wholeness, now and ever.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of parenting:

Parenting

Perhaps to sum up our encouragement of the parent who wishes to know about discipline, we should suggest, number one, that they would live as they would suggest their children to live; number two, that they be honest in their dealings with those souls given into their care, meaning what they say and saying what they mean. And thirdly, when discipline is to be accomplished, allow that discipline to be such a one as may perhaps sting the pride of the young soul in a private way, but not in such a way that others might know that this soul is being disciplined, and that by this much loved parent.

Thus, we move the focus of discipline of children into two areas. Firstly, the arena of the parent, in which the parent is encouraged to think deeply about stressing the spiritual, the just, and the lovely; and second, the arena of the child, in which the child may learn to trust the honesty of the parent and may learn by imitation those things which are to be learned. We know that parents and children and all entities whatever shall fall and clamber up again many times. Mistakes are made upon top of mistakes, yet there is one deep and fathomless thing which binds parent to child, and that is love, for the parent cannot help but love the child, nor can the child help but love the parent. Let this love be communicated. Let this love be celebrated. Never let this love be taken for granted. Love each other, for you are both pilgrims upon the road, parent and child. The parent must do a good deal of guiding, suggesting and, yes, disciplining, for the best road to learn has its limits, its right side and its left side, and beyond that road lie desolate deserts of experience which are not helpful in the sense of learning of love.[1]

In this quote Q’uo gave some very spiritually sound advice for parents to guide their children into the most effective growth of their minds, bodies, and spirits. Q’uo’s first suggestion was that the most effective kind of discipline is that parents live as they would have their children live. This goes beyond the most common and always inadequate “do as I say” dictum. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then behaving as you would wish your child to behave is like a living book to be read and studied continuously by the children.

Q’uo’s second suggestion was that parents use honesty in their communication with their children. Not only should parents behave as they would wish their children to behave, but they should say exactly what they mean—hopefully in a loving manner—and they should mean what they say. I think this asks the parent to be consistent in both their actions and their words when communicating with their children. Again, I believe that the language of love balanced with the clarity of wisdom might be most effective in raising a child.

And Q’uo’s third suggestion was that if it becomes necessary to discipline the child in a way that might “sting the pride of the young soulthat this discipline be done in private and not in the view of others. Keeping such a discipline private ensures the least amount of embarrassment for the child and keeps the child’s attention focused on the discipline and not on being embarrassed by others witnessing the discipline.

In the second paragraph of Q’uo’s thoughts on parenting, Q’uo suggested that parents constantly be guided by the overarching principles of how to keep all communications and behaviors spiritually imbued, fair and honest, and, most of all, full of love. If these qualities can become a natural and continual way of interacting with the child, then the child can learn to trust the parents’ honesty. This trust will, in turn, allow the child to learn by imitating the trusted and loved parents. And when the inevitable mistakes are made by either parent or child, there is the abiding love between parents and children that will become the saving grace of both. The parents who are Players will emphasize their love for their children above any mistake which will allow the child to do the same.

The appropriate teach/learning device of parent to child is the open-hearted beingness of the parent and the total acceptance of the beingness of the child. This will encompass whatever material the child entity has brought into the life experience in this plane.

There are two things especially important in this relationship other than the basic acceptance of the child by the parent.

Firstly, the experience of whatever means the parent uses to worship and give thanksgiving to the One Infinite Creator should, if possible, be shared with the child entity upon a daily basis, as you would say.

Secondly, the compassion of parent to child may well be tempered by the understanding that the child entity shall learn the biases of service to others or service to self from the parental other-self. This is the reason that some discipline is appropriate in the teach/learning. This does not apply to the activation of any one energy center, for each entity is unique, and each relationship with self and other-self doubly unique. The guidelines given are only general for this reason.[2]

Those of Ra had a few additions to Q’uo’s thoughts regarding the more basic ways of how parents could teach their children. First, Ra recommended that parents should be able to be completely open-hearted in their expression of their beingness to their children. Again, this suggests a concentration on open-hearted love being shared with the child at all times. This should become the language of the parents to the child. Ra also recommended that parents should completely accept the beingness of the child however it is manifested. The beingness of the child reflects those attributes that the child has brought with it into the present incarnation and the pre-incarnative choices that the child has made.

Then Ra suggested that the parents should share with the child the way that the parents “worship and give thanksgiving to the One Infinite Creator”and do this with the child on a daily basis, not just Sunday, but daily. I can only imagine how uplifting and inspiriting this type of sacramental sharing of the spiritual path could become for any child that was able to receive such a gift from its parents every day. It might even help to deflect the type of peer pressure that most kids are subject to from other kids to misbehave and test limits set by parents or teachers.

Ra finished their comments on raising children by suggesting that parents should teach their children the concept of being of service to others or of service to self. It is interesting to me that then Ra said that this type of teaching of the purpose of the life path might be the reason that some discipline would be necessary as part of this learning process. I am assuming that the discipline would be to correct actions that were not of a service-to-others nature for positively-oriented parents. The discipline would add a certain clarity to the teaching of the child what service to others meant and did not mean when put into action.

Q’uo had some additional thoughts to share about the beingness of a child:

First of all, we would suggest that each person see each new child not just as a child of a mother and a father of third density, but as a child of the One Infinite Creator, for in truth, that is the nature of each child and each entity upon this planet. Seeing each child as the Creator, look then to how the Creator within all may be apprehended and taught to this child as a means of daily inspiration and recognition of the Creator that exists in all. Find a manner in which you may share your love of the One Creator with this child upon a regular basis, just as you learn arithmetic and reading in your schooling system, teach them the oneness of all creation, teach them the unconditional love of all creation, teach them the light of truth of all creation, teach them the interrelatedness of all entities within the one creation, and most especially at this time, upon the planet you call Earth. Q’uo, September 14, 2019.

I think that actually keeping in mind that children are also the Creator is a very helpful overview through which to view children. Of course they are certainly young Creators, but they contain the same Creator as all entities do, as all of the creation does. When we interact with children I think it is easier to see the Creator within them since children still have more of the loving innocence about them that reflects the love of the Creator back to us. Seeing the Creator in children might be good training for us to see the Creator in everyone we meet in our daily round of activities.

This morning I went outside and weeded the driveway and parking area. Then I ran an errand to Feeder’s Supply to buy more cat food and food for the fish in the pond. Then I came back home and vacuumed the first floor of the house.

This afternoon I went around the yard and cut dead limbs out of trees and bushes that I have noticed recently.

May Your Spirit Speak

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ. I greet you in the full consciousness of love and in its spirit.

As one person looks upon another, creature looks at creature and spirit looks at spirit. In the eyes of some the creature is awake and the spirit quite asleep. In the eyes of others the spirit has so far awakened that the creature needs no expression, for all has been sublimated to the transformation of spirit.

In each glance, in each touch, and in each word with other entities, may your spirit speak mutely and creatively to those about you and may you rejoice to find the lively spirit when and where you will.

Indeed, the spirit is in all. And it is well that all encouragement be given by you, that it may be awakened. To each creature which has the spirit underneath there are awakening and enlivening words and graceful gestures of love and compassion which can be made which do not preach in words but speak volumes to the spirit within others in a sense which goes far deeper than words. Thus may your spirit speak, and thus may you aid in recreating and transforming all to spirit.

We leave you in the lively, creative and transformational peace of the spirit of Christ. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four ad the concept of marriage:

Marriage

The seekers which wish to do spiritual work together, emotional work together, mental work and physical work together, all at once, take for themselves an added burden and an added hope—the hope of fulfilling the covenant. If each of you is a crystalline being attempting to hone, clarify and sharpen that crystal which lies within, so too a relationship which has been stated clearly, spiritually and angelically is a crystal also, and throughout the life experience each of the two in the married pair may do all those things which are given to those who agree to seek together, yet there is also the responsibility for physical, mental and emotional loving, cherishing and honoring. The conditions are more clear, the responsibilities are greater and the end result is a crystalline structure that may become part of the higher self of both in the marriage, not only within the life experience, but in the cosmic or eternal portion of the self, until such time as personhood is no longer. Those who have created the jewel of a promise fulfilled create a light source that, like all other light sources of love in the creation, are available whatever the time, whatever the space.

It is difficult for us to give to this instrument our words, for the nature in truth of metaphysical marriage contains a third party. This is not a thought which this instrument finds easy to channel, however, in any metaphysical covenant there is a third party which overshadows both entities. You may call that being the Creator in whatever face you see. Perhaps we would do best to call it living love.[1]

For the spiritual seeker of truth, and the Player on the Enhanced Gameboard of Life, the marriage covenant not only seeks to help each partner partake in the becoming of one body with the other, but with the One Creator as well, which Q’uo mentioned could also be seen as the concept of love. The marriage is the vehicle for each partner to amplify its search for the Creator within in the form, or energetic expression, of “living love.”This living love is the lens through which each partner attempts to see the other as well as all the various challenges that will present themselves to the couple during the marriage. If each can give over the personal sense of self in some degree and incorporate the living love of the Creator as the milieu in which the marriage functions, then the marriage is established as the first priority for each partner at all times. This is the work of the lifetime for both partners who seek to become Players together.

I would also like to mention that the traditional marriage is not the only way that people can choose to be together. Don and Carla were a good example of an alternative method of devoting themselves to each other. After they had been together for a few months Don was heading out the door to fly a trip for Eastern Air Lines that would last a few days. His hat was on, his coat was in his hands, and one hand was on the door. He turned around and asked Carla if she wanted to get married and “make this legal.” She commented on his body language and said that if he felt the same way when he got back from his trip she would love to get married. When he returned he said that she was wise to give him time to think about getting married because he really didn’t feel that a traditional marriage was right for him and her.

So what they decided to do was their own version of what is called Scottish handfasting. This is an ancient tradition of the Wiccan and Norse cultures where the couple joins hands and have a ribbon or cord tied around their hands. And, yes, this is where the term “tying the knot” comes from. The couple will either tie the ribbon themselves or have someone else do it. They may or may not include rings. There are many variations of how to do this hand fasting ceremony.

Don and Carla developed their own ritual by taking a common broom and laying it on the floor in the hall of their apartment. Then they joined hands and jumped over the broom with the intention that this action would signify that they were married. The purpose for Don and Carla creating their own marriage ceremony was that they knew that they were meant to be together and to do work of a spiritual nature, the first manifestation of which was to write The Crucifixion of Esmerelda Sweetwater, a book that seemed to predict a lot of the experiences that they and L/L Research would have in the coming years. In 68.14, Ra elaborated how this book was what amounted to a shared mission:

Questioner: Would you please do so now?

Ra: I am Ra. We confirm the following which is already, shall we say, supposed or hypothesized.

When the commitment was made between two of this group to work for the betterment of the planetary sphere, this commitment activated a possibility/probability vortex of some strength. The experience of generating this volume was unusual in that it was visualized as if watching the moving picture.

Time had become available in its present-moment form. The scenario of the volume went smoothly until the ending of the volume. You could not end the volume, and the ending was not visualized as the entire body of the material but was written or authored.

This is due to the action of free will in all of the creation. However, the volume contains a view of significant events, both symbolically and specifically, which you saw under the influence of the magnetic attraction which was released when the commitment was made and full memory of the dedication of this, what you may call, mission restored.

So Don’s and Carla’s marriage ceremony was a symbol of their commitment to sharing a spiritual journey that would not only benefit them but the larger community of humanity on planet Earth. And so they lived for sixteen years with this form of marriage and service to others relationship until Don passed into larger life on November 7, 1984.

After Don was gone, Carla and I knew that we were going to continue the work of L/L Research as it was our life’s work just as it had been Don’s. From the beginning of our time together, which started in December of 1980, Carla, Don, and I felt that we had work to do together. Ra confirmed that we had been together in other lives as they said in 9.2:

There have been several times when this group worked and dwelt together. The relationships varied. There is balanced karma, as you call it; each thus the teacher of each. The work has involved healing, understanding the uses of the earth energy, and work in aid of civilizations which called, just as your sphere has done, and we have come. This ends the material which we consider harmless.

Since we knew that we would be together for the rest of our lives, or until one of us passed into larger life as well, Carla and I decided to get married because we felt that this was the most powerful way to be together. This was the way that we wanted to show our commitment to being of service to others. However, as time went on we fell head over heels in love with each other and became the love of each other’s lives. We were married for twenty-eight years, until Carla passed into larger life on April 1, 2015. [A1]

This morning I was on a zoom meet with three of my long-time friends of 50 years, and we once again read and studied The Ra Contact: Teaching the Law of One and Living Buddha, Living Christ by Tich Nhat Hanh. Before the actual study began we did our usual check-in to see what has been happening in each other’s lives. As always, it is good to be with people that I have known for most of my life.

This afternoon I went back over to Thieneman’s Nursery to buy six more azaleas and more fertilizer as well.  Then I transplanted the six new azaleas into the cross area along with three that were left over from yesterday’s transplanting work.

From A Book of Days, channeled by Carla L. Rueckert:

April 13

You Are Love

I am the principle of divine love and I greet you in the name of Jesus the Christ.

I am of the spirit or principle of love that moves from age to age, from eon to eon, and from creation to creation: a principle of that which you call the Father; a principle which moves beyond imagination; a principle that is love created and uncreated, and a principle of power that is unimaginable.

This principle is the heart of each of your beings. You are potent, strong and loving beyond your greatest hopes. Equal to this is the power of the illusion to distort the power of love.

Thus must you take care in using your power and in expressing your love. For you and all others of your kind are outwardly children. And that of you which is grown into infinity must pass through a narrow gate, safely to dwell consciously within the soul while living within your illusion, within your world.

But love is of yourself. You are not mundane. You are love. Your heart is the heart of the universe. And within your eyes lies infinity.

May these thoughts bring to you an appreciation of the self you truly are. Rest in that understanding and know that you are cherished infinitely by the spirit.

We leave you in love and peace, both now and ever. Amen.

I said the prayer at the Gaia Meditation tonight:

We come in the name of love and open our hearts, minds, and souls to send love, light, and healing energy to Mother Earth as she brings forth a new Earth in the fourth density. I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of the family:

Family

There is probably no other experience in our lives that gives us more opportunities to be of service to others than do our families. Whether it is our birth family, marriage family, or that family of those we form bonds with along the way, we are presented with the chance to not only be of service to others on a daily—and sometimes hourly—basis, but I believe that our birth families provide us with more catalyst for our growth than we will receive from almost any other facet of our lives, and this is very likely because the majority of our pre-incarnative choices are first set into motion in our birth family. Carla was a good example of how such choices may be realized in a manner which might not be the most pleasant or fun. In the following quote (50.4-.5) Ra gave a general outline as to how this played out for Carla:

Questioner: Could you give an example of how an entity sets up a condition for attracting a particular experiential catalyst and how that catalyst then is provided or is learned.

Ra: I am Ra. Such an example may be given.

Questioner: Will you give that?

Ra: I am Ra. We paused to scan this instrument’s consciousness for permission to use its experiential catalyst as example. We may proceed.

This is one instance, and extrapolation may be made to other entities which are aware of the process of evolution. This entity chose, before incarnation, the means whereby catalyst had great probability of being obtained. This entity desired the process of expressing love and light without expecting any return. This instrument programmed also to endeavor to accomplish spiritual work and to comfort itself with companionship in the doing of this work.

Agreements were made prior to incarnation; the first, with the so-called parents and siblings of this entity. This provided the experiential catalyst for the situation of offering radiance of being without expectation of return.”

The giving without expectation of return manifested for Carla as being tasked with a lot of work to do as a child that actually took her childhood away from her because she was such a child prodigy. Her mom and dad felt that she should be given a lot of responsibilities as a child to advance her already great intelligence. She was baby-sitting at age seven, cooking for the family at age 10, and she was never complimented for her work. Instead she was given helpful criticism meant to enhance her ability to do what she was doing.

Meanwhile her mom and dad were playing out their own choices by reacting to having to give up careers as a jazz musician for her dad and for her mom giving up being a co-host for Dave Garroway on the “Today Show” because their first meeting resulted in Carla’s eventual birth. So there was a tension between them that created a kind of frustration in their dinner table conversations that caused Carla to take shelter in her bedroom when she was alone or with her younger brothers later on and actually be their mom in how she lovingly related to them.

So if you want to look at where your various likes and dislikes have come from, it would probably be helpful to look at how your birth family programmed certain kinds of thoughts and behaviors in your life pattern. This is certainly the work of the Player once again.

I would like to share my own experience with my birth family. It is quite a bit different from Carla’s and from most other people’s that I have talked with about how they were raised and the difficulties that they had with their mom, or dad, or brothers, or sisters.

I received total support from my mom and dad. All they wanted was for me to be happy. I think that the basic reason for this was that they were both raised during the Great Depression of the 1930s in America. They were dirt poor and neither one finished high school. Dad had to quit school his sophomore year and get a job in rural Alabama to help support the family. He got a job in a grocery store and continued in that work for the rest of his life, becoming the manager of a little grocery store in Lexington, Nebraska. Mom also had to quit school her sophomore year because her family moved too far away from the nearest school for her to get there by horse and wagon since her family had no automobile on the Great Plains of western Nebraska.

So when mom and dad met each other in Kearney, Nebraska during WWII, mom was working as a waitress in a small restaurant, and dad was a supply Sergeant in the Army. They got married a few months later on January 10th, 1945. They decided to have just one child so that they could give him everything that they never had as kids when they were growing up. Mom worked as bookkeeper in the grocery store that dad managed and also stocked the shelves and ran the cash register, so they were able to rent a small house and pay the bills and provide me with the same kinds of toys that other kids had but which they never had when they were kids.

Starting in junior high school, when baseball was in season in the summer, mom and dad always drove our car for me and some of my fellow athletes to ride in to our away games since there was no bus that all of the athletes could ride in together. They put money aside for me from their earnings at the grocery store so that I could go to college, and they bought me a new car for my freshman year of college so I could drive back and forth from college to home on weekends. It was a 1965 Chevelle Malibu and only cost $2,800 back then. They were very proud of me when I was graduated from college. I was one of the first in their family to do so.

They also were glad when I went into Teacher Corps after college as it was a Master’s Degree program as well as a teaching experience that I got paid for. However, when I moved to the woods of central Kentucky, built a log cabin, and lived off the grid for six and one-half years they were somewhat disappointed because that was how they were raised: with an outhouse and no running water or electricity. They had no real idea of what I was doing or why I was doing it, but they still supported me because they wanted me to be happy. They came to visit me once a year and drove their car up the running creek which was my access road, stayed in a small cabin that I built over my root cellar, and used a little outhouse that I built especially for them.

When I joined Don and Carla and the Ra contact was ongoing they continued to visit me once a year and were somewhat relieved that I was living in a nice house and was working with good people. However, when anyone would ask my mom “What is Jim doing these days?” she would give her best estimation of my situation by saying that I was a typist for an airline pilot. Once again, they had no idea what I was doing or why I was doing it. They were just glad that I was happy. I had quite an anomalistic childhood, to say the least, and very simple and loving parents for which I have always been very grateful.

This morning I was able to put the solar-powered lantern that had blown down from its topmost position in a tree in Dana’s Crystal Corner back into its position. Then I ran errands with my first stop being at Thieneman’s Nursery to pick up some azalea bushes to replace the ones that died over the winter. My second stop was at Feeder’s Supply where I bought some bird seed and kitty litter. My third stop was at Paul’s Fruit Market to pick up some food for myself. My last stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store to pick up a prescription.

This afternoon I began transplanting the azalea bushes along the deck just behind the house and then in the cross area. I got six of them planted before I ran out of fertilizer, so I will pick up a few more azaleas and some fertilizer tomorrow.

The Healing Love Of Christ

I am the spirit of living love. I greet you in the full consciousness of that love which is Christed.

The light of your world comes only physically from the sun and shines in truth more greatly from the eyes of those who have the consciousness of love than from any other source.

Worlds of darkness vanish before the morning light and the most obscene horror grows pitiful in the gentle rays of sunlight. So, too, let the light of your eyes rest on things seemingly good and seemingly evil, seeing the Christ in all and the good in each. Whatever sadness or horror there has been, let your eyes heal it. Let your heart know the healing has occurred. For within each is the power of the spirit; within each, the healing love of Christ.

We leave you in the peace of infinite love. May you never grow weary of the spirit of love.

Today the 102 quote comes from Chapter Four and the concept of personal relationships:

Personal Relationships

In our personal relationships we deal, for the most part, with our individual sense of self—all of our personal eccentricities and unique features that make us who we are. This is our first opportunity to accept ourselves for being a unique and valuable person that seeks to express our sense of self on a one-to-one basis with other unique selves.

There is no one in the infinite creation that is just like any other person. It is helpful to keep this in mind as we are relating to others so that we always recognize this uniqueness and don’t try to fit anyone into a certain kind of category of person that we may have met before. Recognizing everyone’s uniqueness is the first way that we can be of service to others, plus it makes life a lot more interesting to recognize everyone’s unique nature as one of the most powerful and intimate avenues for the expression of who we are is in sharing our sexual natures with others who have the potential to become a lover and or a mate. If we and our partner have activated the green-ray chakra, the energy that we create via love-making will be transferred back and forth between us so that we and our partner are revitalized according to our sexual identity and needs. The feminine sexual nature transfers emotional and inspirational energy, and the masculine sexual nature transfers physical energy as these are the energies that each has in abundance. However, until we are able to open our green-ray energy centers in unconditional love it is not possible to transfer any (positive) sexual energies to our partners. Opening our green-ray energy center expands our ability to be of service to others because our open hearts would imbue our service with love which would enhance the service greatly, giving it a positive emotional charge that would carry more weight for us and for those we serve. Q’uo suggested how this kind of relationship can be a service to another:

So we would say that the nature of the quality of companionship that lasts not for a day or for a month or for a year but for eternity is that quality which has been formed in the fire of moving through tremendous amounts of dynamics: sexual, sensual, physical, emotional, mental, intellectual and finally into the area of the spiritual, into the area where two hearts can touch and become one, not because they are the same but because they are sparks of the same fire that are sharing with each other the incredible gift of their unique essence so that each is teaching each, each is healing each, and each fulfills the larger desire of each to become a flame of spirit. Q’uo, April 17, 2005.

Another type relationship that offers an energy transfer is that of the teacher and the student. The amount and quality of energy created and transferred is dependent upon the desire of the teacher to serve and the desire of the student to learn. It is also dependent upon the quality of the information that is shared and the ability of the student to comprehend it and use it. Ra always described us as teach/learners or learn/teachers, so whether we are the student or the teacher each of us in this type of relationship is performing a service for the other. The teacher has a chance to share more advanced knowledge with the student that broadens the student’s perspective and ability to utilize that knowledge in future interactions with others. And the student gives the teacher a focus for their desire to give to others the fruit of their accumulated wisdom. Q’uo gave a good synopsis of the student/teacher relationship:

Perhaps we would say that the ideal between teacher and student is a union wherein each shares what each has brought and the other listens in a way that does not distort and together there is the plaiting of one strand of thought with another and another and another in a rope or string of new connections and new facets to the subject that both are focused upon. This is the kind of teaching which gives both new strength and a new awareness and a continuing desire for more. Q’uo, September 3, 1995.

Another energy transfer of is that of the speaker and the listener who are sharing a one-time conversation rather than the continuing experience of the teacher and student that would endure for some time. Whatever emotions were being expressed would be transferred between each entity so that the moment of transfer could be happy or sad, painful or glad, or any other quality that would be drawn out of the shared experience of both entities. Once again, both the speaker and the listener provide a service to each other as each is able to meet the needs of the other in some respect. All of our interactions with those around us have this quality of being of service by sharing our feelings and our thoughts in some manner that might eventually be useful to all concerned. As we go through life we gather more and more experience which enhances our ability to communicate with others and share the fruits of our life paths. Here Q’uo suggested that it is important to be able to listen carefully in the speaker/listener relationship:

We would at this time emphasize that in your analyzing of your own behavior and your balancing of the various distortions, you pay special attention to your function as a listener. Many are the well-meaning instruments who feel moved to serve and who then err on the side of doing and talking. If you are talking, you cannot listen. If you are doing, often you cannot hear. And in serving others, the function of listening is central. Entities are seldom what you expect. Things that appear simple at first glance may be found to be coming from a bias in that person whom you wish to help which you must listen carefully to [to] comprehend. And only with this level of knowledge achieved can the word or the action be appropriate. Q’uo, April 25, 1983.

Spiritual energy transfers are the work of the adept and are at the heart of all energy transfers. As we are more able to perceive ourselves as the Creator, we are more able to channel the intelligent energy of the indigo ray to utilize in healing, in communication, in purification or protection of a place of working, or in the ability to create changes in consciousness. Since spiritual energy transfers involve the work of the adept I am sure that the green-ray chakra would need to be open for such transfers to occur. In 73.22, Ra spoke of the spiritual energy transfer in this quote:

The spiritual energy transfers are at the heart of all energy transfers as a knowledge of self and other-self as Creator is paramount, and this is spiritual work. The varieties of spiritual energy transfer include those things of which we have spoken this day as we spoke upon the subject of the adept.

And in 73.10, Ra elaborated on the magical nature of the spiritual energy transfer:

Each visualization, regardless of the point of the working, begins with some work within the indigo ray. As you may be aware, the ritual which you have begun is completely working within the indigo ray. This is well for it is the gateway. From this beginning light may be invoked for communication or for healing.

You may note that in the ritual which we offered you to properly begin the Ra workings the first focus is upon the Creator. We would further note a point which is both subtile and of some interest. The upward spiraling light developed in its path by the will, and ultimately reaching an high place of mating with the inward fire of the One Creator, still is only preparation for the work upon the mind/body/spirit which may be done by the adept. There is some crystallization of the energy centers used during each working so that the magician becomes more and more that which it seeks.

More importantly, the time/space mind/body/spirit analog, which is evoked as the magical personality, has its only opportunity to gain rapidly from the experience of the catalytic action available to the third-density space/time mind/body/spirit. Thus the adept is aiding the Creator greatly by offering great catalyst to a greater portion of the creation which is identified as the mind/body/spirit totality of an entity.

One of the most important qualities that Ra mentioned for each mind/body/spirit complex was the uniqueness of each in how catalyst is perceived, the uniqueness of each in how energy centers are configured and balanced, the uniqueness of each as to how the images in the tarot may be interpreted, the uniqueness of each in the perception of intelligent infinity, the uniqueness of each concerning the pre-incarnative choices for this life, and on and on and on. We each are unique beings, and that is why each of us has something unique and special to offer others in our personal relationships. In the deepest sense of our being our uniqueness is one of the greatest services that we can offer any other person. This is the way that the Player on the Enhanced Gameboard of life provides the greatest possible service to others throughout the life pattern.

This morning I went outside and planted some Morning Glory seeds in four 5-gallon buckets behind the garage, in the two pots on either side of the mailbox, and around two small trees in the front yard. Then I watered them and am eager to see their blooms of purple, blue, and white. Then I took the five house plants outside that will hang on the upper framework of the fish pond after I harden them off by introducing them to more and more sunshine over a period of ten days.

This afternoon I went back outside and brought the rest of the house plants outside that I wanted outside. I left some inside as I think they will do better inside. I chose this time to take some of the houseplants outside as it looks like we are forecast to have temperatures in the seventies and eighties for at least the next week.

A Fine Pilgrimage

I am the spirit of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

I am the Comforter. Come, take my hand. Together we may walk through the land of experience. Together we may see the illumination of day and rejoice in the velvet darkness of night. Together the soul and its Comforter may make a fine pilgrimage of any road and any weather.

Seek the consolation and the comfort of the consciousness of love. It lies waiting for the touch of your hand, the invitation of your heart. Perhaps you may want to travel for a while, experiencing the feeling of aloneness and calling to feelings of helplessness and despair. These experiences, too, are most wonderful. Yet when the pitch of experience becomes too keen to bear alone, hold in remembrance that you are not without comfort at any time, in any place.

For the peace and the love of Jesus the Christ are in the world in which you truly live. And in that kingdom of consciousness we leave you, now and always. Amen.
