I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 105.14-.16:

“Questioner: Then the yellow-ray body, from the very beginning, was designed as what Ra has called an athanor for the mind, a device, you might say, to accelerate the evolution of the mind. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. It is perhaps more accurate to note that the yellow-ray, physical vehicle is a necessity without which the mind/body/spirit complex cannot pursue evolution at any pace.

Questioner: Then you are saying that the evolution of that portion of the individual that is not yellow-ray is not possible without the clothing, at intervals, in the yellow-ray body. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. No.

Questioner: Would you clear up my thinking on that? I didn’t quite understand your statement.

Ra: I am Ra. Each mind/body/spirit or mind/body/spirit complex has an existence simultaneous with that of creation. It is not dependent upon any physical vehicle. However, in order to evolve, change, learn, and manifest the Creator the physical vehicles appropriate to each density are necessary. Your query implied that physical vehicles accelerated growth. The more accurate description is that they permit growth.”

Don’s question was to ask Ra if the yellow-ray body was designed to serve as an athanor for the mind that would help to accelerate the evolution of the mind. Ra replied by saying: “it was more accurate to note that the yellow-ray, physical vehicle is a necessity without which the mind/body/spirit complex cannot pursue evolution at any pace.” In 97.10, Ra gave an example of how the body permits growth:

Consider for the self, O student, whether your thoughts can walk. The abilities of the most finely honed mentality shall not be known without the use of the physical vehicle which you call the body. Through the mouth the mind may speak. Through the limbs the mind may effect action.

So Don’s second question was to ask if Ra meant that evolution of “that portion of the individual that is not yellow-ray is not possible without the clothing, at intervals, in the yellow-ray body.” Ra simply said “No.” So Don’s third question was to clear up his thinking on this topic, and Ra said that Don’s question implied that “physical vehicles accelerated growth” but the “more accurate description is that they permit growth.” In 81.14, Ra used the Great Way of the Body, the Alchemist, to illustrate how the mind uses the body to grow:

Questioner: And finally, the fourteenth, the Way of the Body is called the Alchemist because there is an infinity of time for the various bodies to operate within to learn the lessons necessary for evolution. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is less than completely correct as the Great Way of the Body must be seen, as are all the archetypes of the body, to be a mirror image of the thrust of the activity of the mind. The body is the creature of the mind and is the instrument of manifestation for the fruits of mind and spirit. Therefore, you may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold.

This morning I had a zoom meet with a friend who lives at Findhorn in Scotland and her friend who is translating the Ra contact into Farsi. We talked about various concepts in the first few sessions that they did not completely understand, and, hopefully, I was able to help them grasp the concepts with my opinions about them.

This afternoon I removed a few bricks in three places in the brick walk next to the large Tulip Poplar Tree and carved away a little of the roots of the tree that were pushing the bricks up and creating a trip hazard. Then I replaced the bricks, now level with the ground, and felt glad that this area is now more easily walked as we will have 30 people at our Homecoming Gathering next week walking all around the yard.

Worthiness To Be Slain

I am the spirit of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

This morning the instrument’s mind is full of questions of worthiness. “Worthy”—what does that mean?

In terms of the spirit’s speaking to the peace and joy of those who may deem themselves unworthy, we may say that “worthy” means “ready to be slaughtered.” “Worthy is the Lamb that is Slain.” The worthiness is willingness to sacrifice.

Unworthiness is unwillingness to sacrifice on behalf of the Creator seen in others’ eyes. You are unworthy if you cannot be a sacrificial giver for those things which you see to be of God and of the work of God.

Other than this, thoughts of unworthiness have no place in the life of the disciple. Are you worthy to be slain today? To give sacrificially? To open yourself, that love may come through you?

If you have the humility to count yourself unworthy, then perhaps you have become worthy after all.

“Questioner: I have come to the conclusion that the meaning of the hawk that we had about a year ago when we started to move the first time had to do with the non-benign nature, in the metaphysical sense, of the house which I had picked for the move. If it isn’t a problem with the Law of Confusion I think that it’d be philosophically interesting to know if I am correct with respect to that.

Ra: I am Ra. What bird comes to affirm for Ra? What bird would be chosen to warn? We ask the questioner to ponder these queries.

Since a year had passed since we saw the hawk upon our return from Atlanta, and seeing the house next to the airport, Don is hoping that Ra might confirm his suspicions that that house was not proper for us to move into. In 95.4, Ra described the non-benign nature of that house:

Questioner: Thank you. The new room that we choose will of course be carefully cleaned and marred surfaces made well. We shall also use the Banishing Ritual of the Lesser Pentagram prior to a working. Is there anything else that Ra could suggest? And I would also know if there is anything in particular that Ra might suggest with respect to the particular place that has been chosen for the new location.

Ra: I am Ra. We scan the recent memory configurations of the questioner. Firstly, there has been some less than harmonious interaction within this dwelling. The dynamics of this interaction were potent enough to attract a lesser thought-form. Therefore, we suggest the salting and ritual cleansing by blessed water of all windows and doorways which offer adit into the domicile or any out-buildings thereof.

Further, we suggest the hanging of the cut garlic clove in the portion of the room which has accommodated those whose enjoyment has turned into a darker emotion centering upon the area we find you call the wet bar, also the room intended for the sleeping which is found near the kitchen area. The appropriate words used to bid farewell to those of the lower astral shall be used in connection with the hanging of the garlic cloves for the period of approximately 36 of your hours. We believe that this is equivalent to two of your night periods and one of your lit periods. This should cleanse the house as you find it to the extent that it is neutral in its vibrations. We suggest that you then request of this living entity that it now be welcoming and absorbent for the vibrations of harmony, love, and thanksgiving which this group shall then, as the incarnational experience proceeds, offer to the domicile.

But Ra continued to invoke the Law of Confusion and instead of answering Don’s question, Ra asked Don what bird would come to affirm to Ra, and what bird would come to warn? Horus was considered the hawk-headed god of the sun and was, therefore, connected with those of Ra from at least as far back as the eighteenth dynasty of Egyptian pharaohs and very likely thousands of years before that. So a hawk would be the likely bird to be sent by Ra to affirm a choice that had already been made as had our choice to move into the house 3 miles from the airport on the south side of Atlanta. Ra spoke of Horus in 23.1:

Questioner: You were speaking yesterday of the first contact made by the Confederation which occurred during our third major cycle. You stated that you appeared in the skies over Egypt at the same time, approximately, aid was first given to Atlantis. Can you tell me why you went to Egypt and your, shall we say, orientation of attitude and thinking when you first went to Egypt?

Ra: I am Ra. At the time of which you speak there were those who chose to worship the hawk-headed sun god which you know as vibrational sound complex, “Horus.” This vibrational sound complex has taken other vibrational sound complexes, the object of worship being the sun disc represented in some distortion.

We were drawn to spend some time, as you would call it, scanning the peoples for a serious interest amounting to a seeking with which we might help without infringement. We found that at that time the social complex was quite self-contradictory in its so-called religious beliefs and, therefore, there was not an appropriate calling for our vibration. Thus, at that time, which you know of as approximately eighteen thousand [18,000] of your years in your past, we departed without taking action.

Hawks had been favorable confirmations of Don’s and Carla’s since at least 1974, when they first met Dr. Andrija Puharich. So it was quite a departure for Don to interpret the hawk that visited us as a warning. We never knew for sure which bird might come to warn from Ra, but I am guessing that it could be a raven.

This morning I answered a few emails and was also pleased to see that we had gotten half an inch of rain during the night. There is also rain forecast for the next few days, and that would be perfect timing for all of my flower gardens as our Homecoming is less than two weeks away.

This afternoon I made my usual errand run and picked up some canned cat food at Feeder’s Supply. Then I went to Paul’s Fruit Market and bought some food for myself. My last stop was at Walgreen’s where I picked up some prescriptions for me and some non-food items as well.

The Deep Ache For Love

I am of the spirit of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of that divine love.

The branches of intellect seem to many to be those holding the most fruit. And, indeed, that vine of connected thoughts grows sturdily and well in the environment of the everyday world. Yet the spirit of love is most often found within the homelier, seemingly mundane details of work and play.

How do you apprehend the love of the living God? With your thoughts? With your heart? Or with an ache so profound that it can be said to come from the roots of being? In this deep ache lies the yearning of love for love, for each of you is divine, the son or daughter of the living God. May you seek well and without pride for words or deeds but with that divine growing hunger of love for itself.

“Questioner: Is there any other suggestion that Ra could make with respect to any part of this move that is planned, and will we have any problems at all in contacting Ra in the new dwelling, and if so, would Ra tell us about those and what we could do to alleviate any problems in contacting Ra in the new [location]?

Ra: I am Ra. We weigh this answer carefully, for it comes close to abrogation of free will, but find the proximity acceptable due to this instrument’s determination to be of service to the One Infinite Creator regardless of personal circumstance.

Any physical aid upon the part of the instrument in the packing and unpacking will activate those allergic reactions lying dormant for the most part at this time. This entity is allergic to those items which are unavoidable in transitions within your third-density illusion that is, dust, mildew, etc. The one known as Bob will be of aid in this regard. The scribe should take care also to imbibe a doubled quantity of liquids in order that any allergically caused toxins may be flushed from the body complex.

There is no difficulty in resuming contact through this tuned instrument with the social memory complex, Ra, in the chosen dwelling, or, indeed, in any place whatsoever once physical and metaphysical cleansing has been accomplished.”

Don is questioning Ra here about our upcoming move to the house at Lake Lanier, Georgia to be sure that we will be able to contact Ra once we have moved there. Ra briefly hesitated before answering because of their desire not to infringe on our free will, especially Carla’s. In fact, it was Carla’s great desire to serve the Creator, regardless of personal difficulties, that allowed Ra to caution her to refrain from helping with any packing. The reason was because she was allergic to mold, dust, mildew, etc. that are always a part of moving out of one location and into another. Ra also suggested that I should drink twice the usual water to flush any such toxins from my body. It was also suggested that our friend and healer, Bob I., should be consulted for his assistance. It was in 98.5, that we first became aware of the healer named Bob who was most helpful to Carla in the treatment of her allergies:

The more general recommendation lies with one which does not wish to be identified. There is a code name prayer wheel. We suggest ten treatments from this healer and further suggest a clear reading and subsequent following, upon the part of the instrument, of the priorities of allergy, especially to your foodstuffs.

Lastly, the effects of the working become apparent upon the walking when the body complex has begun to exert itself to the point of increased respiration. Also a contributing factor is the number of your second-density substances to which this instrument is allergic.

Ra’s last sentence was a poignant reminder of Don’s doubts concerning the first house that we considered moving to in Atlanta that was only three miles from the airport. The three of us had just returned from looking at that house and had decided to move there until a large hawk landed just outside our front door immediately after we had gotten out of our car and gone into our house. Don took the hawk as a sign that the house we had just decided to move to was not the right house and that we should not move there. It didn’t matter that hawks had always been signs of confirmation for us in the past to continue in the direction that we were going. To Carla and to me this event marked the beginning of Don’s difficulties that would continue for the last year of his life. In 97.7, Don expressed his confusion in interpreting the meaning of the hawk that landed outside our living room just after we returned from Atlanta where we looked at the house just three miles from the airport:

Questioner: I find myself presently in a difficult position of decision, primarily because of the appearance of the aforementioned hawk after our return from Atlanta. The only objective of any value at all is the work that we are doing which includes not only the contact but communication and dissemination of information to those who might request it. Since the move was connected with that, and since the hawk was, to me, obviously a function of that process, I am at present in a quandary with respect to the optimal situation since I have not yet decided definitely on the significance of the hawk or the advantages or efficaciousness of the move and do not want to create a process which is basically irreversible if it is going to result in a lack of our ability to be of service to those who would seek that which we are able to manifest through our efforts here. Would Ra comment on that situation?

Ra: I am Ra. The questioner presumes much, and to comment is an infringement upon its free will. We may suggest the pondering of our previous comments regarding the wingèd creatures of which you speak. We repeat that any place of working, properly prepared by this group, is acceptable to Ra. The discrimination of choice is yours.

The house on Lake Lanier was north of Atlanta and, with the airport located south of Atlanta, Don’s commutes to the airport from that house would take him as long as commuting from Louisville because of the heavy traffic around the city of Atlanta. But we had to move somewhere as our landlord was selling the house we had lived in for the previous three years.

This morning I began using the trimmer to trim around all walkways and gardens after having cut the grass yesterday afternoon. I got all of the side yard, front yard, and a goodly portion of the back yard done before stopping for lunch.

After lunch I made a trip to The Home Depot to get two more containers of Copper Fungicide and three small containers of 2 cycle engine oil to put into half of the five gallons of gas that I picked up at Speedway Gas Station across the street from The Home Depot. When I got home I finished the trimming in the back yard and then used my backpack blower to blow all walkways clean. My last job of the afternoon was to pick up all of the dead Giant Hibiscus leaves in the Hibiscus patch. Next Tuesday I will use the Copper Fungicide to treat the Giant Hibiscus plants for their brown spot fungus.

The Gift Of Peace

I am the most sacred spirit of the consciousness of Jesus the Christ and I join you in the consciousness of divine love.

This instrument has prayed, “Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace.” The early morning brings a sunrise; the noonday, great light; the evening, the myriad colored rainbows of sunset, and at midnight, a carpet of stars is sprinkled upon the great ground of the sky.

In all of these conditions there is peace. In all conditions of the life that you experience now there is peace. Seek first, in the sunrises, the noons, the sunsets and the midnights of your heart, to feel the sweetly wrapped gift of peace given silently.

This present dwells within each of you. The varieties of life, light and experience merely embrace the various environments, the diverse parties with which you may share such a precious gift through smiles and laughter and gentle silences with those who greet you.

“Questioner: I know it’s unimportant for our purposes, but from a philosophical point of view I don’t want to do anything to upset the Law of Confusion, so don’t feel that it is necessary to answer this, but I was wondering what the condition was that created the necessity for such continual cleansing of the boathouse?

Ra: I am Ra. The intent is to create a perimeter within which the apiary denizens will not find it necessary to sting and indeed will not find it promising to inhabit.

Questioner: Are you speaking of bees or wasps or creatures of that type?

Ra: I am Ra. That is so.”

In this portion of the session Don asked Ra about the cleansing needs of our new house on Lake Lanier, north of Atlanta. A couple of questions earlier, in 105.6, Ra had mentioned that the boathouse, that came with our new home, had special cleansing needs:

Thirdly, there is the matter of the boathouse. We suggest weekly cleansings of that area with garlic, the cut onion, and the walking of a light-filled perimeter. The garlic and onion, renewed weekly, should remain permanently hung, suspended from string or wire between workings.

So Don asked Ra what kind of situation would require so much attention. Ra’s simple answer was that there were wasps living in the boathouse, and the onion, garlic, and the walking of a light-filled perimeter would encourage the wasps to move to a new home. In 101.5, Ra gave us the reason that we needed to be careful of these stinging insects:

Questioner: Something occurred to me. I am going to make a guess that my illness over the past week was a function of some action by my higher self to eliminate the possibility of a residence in the proximity of the large number of bees that I observed. Would Ra comment on my statement?

Ra: I am Ra. We can comment, not upon the questioner’s physical distortions but upon the indubitable truth of second-density hive creatures; that is, that a hive mentality as a whole can be influenced by one strong metaphysical impulse. Both the instrument and the scribe have the capacity for great distortions toward nonviability, given such an attack by a great number of the stinging insects.

This morning I watered the flowers in the front, side, and back yards. Then I decided to wait to cut the grass until the afternoon because there was a lot of dew on the grass, and cutting grass when it is wet causes it to clump together in little mounds all over the yard. So I decided to vacuum the first floor of the house instead.

This afternoon I used my backpack blower to blow leaves that have fallen all around the yard into piles so that I could mulch them to dust with the larger mower. This is my procedure that usually begins later in the fall, but it is possible that recent dry spells have caused leaves to begin falling earlier than usual even with the two inches of rain that finally came last Sunday and Monday.

Love Has Work For You

I am of the principle of the divine love of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

Love is the giver, the sustainer and the protector of the tender, young spiritual consciousness. It is the strengthener and sustainer of those whose veil has slipped from the eye, those who are smitten by circumstance.

It is the stripper and remover of pretense, for forgiveness takes away the necessity for defense. Love enables each portion of the creation to sing and move in rhythm, one unified rhythm of continuous co-creation.

Do not expect love to come to you today. Rather, expect yourself to use whatever discipline is necessary to become aware of the love that is deep and fine and strong within you now: within you, around you, and in all that you may apprehend. Go forth in love and listen, for love has work for you to do, work of being, work of becoming.

“Questioner: We planned to cleanse the property at [the] Lake Lanier location using the techniques prescribed by Ra in earlier sessions having to do with salt 36 hours, etc. I would like to know if this is sufficient or if there is any salient problem with respect to moving to that house that Ra could advise upon at this time, please.

Ra: I am Ra. The cleansing of the dwelling of which you speak need be only three nights and two days. This dwelling is benign. The techniques are acceptable. We find three areas in which the use of garlic as previously described would be beneficial. Firstly, the bunk bed room, below the top sleeping pallet. Secondly, the exterior of the dwelling facing the road and centering about the small rocks approximately two-thirds of the length of the dwelling from the driveway side.

Thirdly, there is the matter of the boathouse. We suggest weekly cleansings of that area with garlic, the cut onion, and the walking of a light-filled perimeter. The garlic and onion, renewed weekly, should remain permanently hung, suspended from string or wire between workings.

Questioner: Just so I don’t make a mistake in interpreting your directions with respect to the second area outside the house, could you give me a distance and magnetic compass heading from, say, the exact center of the dwelling to that position?

Ra: I am Ra. We may only be approximate but would suggest a distance of 37 feet, a magnetic heading of 84 to 92 degrees.”

Now it finally became time for us to move to the Atlanta area in hopes that if Don were closer to his base as a pilot for Eastern Airlines, the increasing weariness that he was feeling from so much travel would be reduced. So, in this question Don asked Ra if the general salting of the dwelling, as was described in Session #95, would be acceptable for our house which sat on the banks of Lake Lanier, north of Atlanta. Ra said that the dwelling was benign, and the salt, water, cut garlic and onion would only need to be used for 36-48 hours total. I forget what the problem was with the bunk bed area, but we used cut garlic there too. This is the ritual that Ra suggested that we perform in our new house and which I did at midnight just after arriving there in a 24 ft. U-Haul truck:

Questioner: Let me see if I have the scenario correctly. I’ll repeat my version of it. We would hang garlic, fresh-cut garlic in the area of the wet bar and the area of the bedroom that is adjacent to the kitchen area. We would salt all window sills and all outer wall door sills and then sprinkle blessed water from our fingers on all of the salted areas. We would then say appropriate words to bid farewell to lower astrals. Those words I am not sure of. Would Ra comment on the scenario that I’ve just stated?

Ra: I am Ra. Your grasp of our suggestions is good. We note that the salt be poured in the straight line with no gaps. There are various ritual words of blessing and farewell to entities such as you are removing. We might suggest the following.

When the salt is laid you may repeat “We praise the One Creator which gave to salt the ability to enable those friends, to which we wish to bid farewell, to find a new home.”

As the water is sprinkled you may say “We give thanks to the One Creator for the gift of water. Over it the Creator moves Its hand and stirs Its will to be done.”

The hanging of the cut garlic may be accompanied by the words “We praise the One Creator for the gift of garlic and bless its ability to offer to those friends to whom we wish to bid farewell the arrow which points their way of egress.”

When the sweeping is done you may say “We praise the One Creator and give thanksgiving for the spiritual cleanliness of this dwelling place.”

As the garlic is burned you may say “We give thanks to the One Creator for the gift of spiritual cleanliness in our dwelling place and seal the departure of all those who have left by this exit by the consuming of this substance.”

The second question that Don asked Ra referred to Ra’s saying that: “Secondly, the exterior of the dwelling facing the road and centering about the small rocks approximately two-thirds of the length of the dwelling from the driveway side” would also need cleansing. Apparently, there was a problem in this area that also needed the application of garlic which suggests more stinging insects. Don asked Ra: “Could you give me a distance and magnetic compass heading from, say, the exact center of the dwelling to that position?” Ra was quite specific in their answer of a “distance of 37 feet, a magnetic heading of 84 to 92 degrees.” The boathouse also had wasps that required that we use the cut garlic and onion on a permanent basis, renewing both of them weekly. In 101.5, Ra gave the general problem with bees and wasps:

This was the beginning of what could best be described as a misadventure. I loaded the first 24 ft. U-Haul truck and set out for Atlanta. But the brakes on the truck froze up within one-half hour, and the truck had to be towed back to Louisville for repair. Looking back, I believe that this was a sign from unseen sources that our move was not a good idea. However, after the brakes were repaired I took to the road again, arriving at our Lake Lanier house at midnight. Don and Carla had picked out the house, so I had never seen it before, which made doing the salting ritual of all windows and doorways, except one, rather tricky in the dark. But it all got done, and I used the one untreated doorway to unload the truck while the salt and water did their work. Then I headed back to Louisville, and a good friend and I drove one more 24 ft. U-Haul truck and our car to our new home while Don, Carla and the cats flew down to meet us. Our five months’ stay in this house was very difficult for many reasons that will be discussed in future journal entries.

This morning I had an appointment with my dermatologist and with my dentist, and I also decided to go grocery shopping at Kroger’s in between the doctors’ visits.

This afternoon I finished the weeding of the side yard and the front yard. While I was weeding the side yard I noticed that the pond water level was about 6 inches below normal, and I couldn’t figure out what the problem might be unless the patch on the north side of the pond has come loose. I checked to see if there were any places in the netting around the pond where a raccoon might have gotten in, but I didn’t see any. I will have to keep an eye on the water level for the next couple of days and see if it drops again, and if it does, how far does it drop.

When The Mind Relaxes

I am the breath of the spirit of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

We come to this instrument although this instrument has no words of her own. We find, indeed, that it is when the human mind relaxes and affirms its unknowingness that we may speak most clearly.

Those who seek to know love dwell upon their lacks and limitations, frustrated that they cannot become closer to the source for which they yearn. Yet to the soul who says merely, “Here am I,” we may come with unfettered footstep and breathe life eternal into things temporal.

Fear not when you confess to yourself that you know not of ultimate things but only surrender that lack of knowledge and open to the information of light of which it is known you have need.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 105.4:

“Questioner: Could you please tell me what caused Jim’s kidney problem to return, and what could be done to heal it?

Ra: I am Ra. The entity, Jim, determined that it would cleanse itself and thus would spend time/space and space/time in pursuit and contemplation of perfection. The dedication to this working was intensified until the mind/body/spirit complex rang in harmony with this intention. The entity did not grasp the literal way in which metaphysical intentions are translated by the body complex of one working in utter unity of purpose. The entity began the period of prayer, fasting, penitence, and rejoicing. The body complex, which was not yet fully recovered from the nephrotic syndrome, began to systematically cleanse each organ, sending all the detritus that was not perfect through kidneys which were not given enough liquid to dilute the toxins being released. The toxins stayed with the body complex and reactivated a purely physical illness. There is no metaphysical portion in this relapse.

The healing is taking place in manifestation of an affirmation of body complex health which, barring untoward circumstance, shall be completely efficacious.”

Back in December of 1983, I created a disharmony with Don when he wanted to print the first three books of The Law of One as one book in our effort at self-publishing. I was keeping our books at that time, and I said that was a good idea, but we didn’t have enough money in our bank account to do so. But Don insisted that that was what we needed to do, and I became upset at his insistence and allowed this disharmony to exist within myself overnight. While I was sleeping our negative friend caused a Common Wood Spider to bite me twice on my left elbow. Apparently, our friend also intensified this bite to the strength of the poison of a cottonmouth snake, also known as a water moccasin. This is the way Ra described my situation in 101.2:

Questioner: Thank you. What has caused the swelling in Jim’s body, and what can be done to heal it?

Ra: I am Ra. For the answer to this query we must begin with the consideration of the serpent, signifying wisdom. This symbol has the value of the ease of viewing the two faces of the one who is wise. Positive wisdom adorns the brow indicating indigo-ray work. Negative wisdom, by which we intend to signify expressions which effectually separate the self from the other-self, may be symbolized by the poison of the fangs. To use that which a mind/body/spirit complex has gained of wisdom for the uses of separation is to invite the fatal bite of that wisdom’s darker side.

The entity has a mental/emotional tendency, which has been lessening in distortion for some of your space/time, towards negative wisdom. The entity being already aware of this causes us not to dwell upon this point but merely to specifically draw the boundaries of the metaphysical background for the energizing of a series of bites from one of your second-density species. In this case the bite was no more than that of one of the arachnids, sometimes called the wood spider. However, it is possible that were enough work done to test the origin of the pathology of the entity, it is within possibility/probability limits that the testing would show the bite of the cottonmouth rather than the bite of the common wood spider.

So, I suffered a kidney problem called nephrotic syndrome, or minimal change syndrome, and gained thirty pounds of water weight over a period of two weeks. It took four or five months to recover, as I remember, after using Lasix to remove the water weight and another drug, whose name I forget, to heal my kidneys. After I had recovered from this kidney problem I decided that I wanted to purify myself of all negative thoughts and inclinations and took the weekend to myself build a lean-to in the wooded area at the back of our six-acre plot of land. I added an army cot for my sleeping bag to rest upon and spent the weekend there. But, as Ra said, I did not realize how this desire for purification through fasting, prayer, penitence, and rejoicing would be translated by my body into the ridding of toxins from my body. I also did not realize that I needed to drink a lot more water than I did in order to flush these toxins from my body, so my kidney disease—which was not yet totally healed—returned, and I began to put on water weight once again. In 42.21, Ra gave the general principle of how fasting can rid one of unwanted thought forms:

Questioner: You mentioned in the last session that fasting was a method of removing unwanted thought-forms. Can you expand on this process and explain a little more about how this works?

Ra: I am Ra. This, as all healing techniques, must be used by a conscious being; that is, a being conscious that the ridding of excess and unwanted material from the body complex is the analogy to the ridding of mind or spirit of excess or unwanted material. Thus the one discipline or denial of the unwanted portion as an appropriate part of the self is taken through the tree of mind down through the trunk to subconscious levels where the connection is made and thus the body, mind, and spirit, then in unison, express denial of the excess or unwanted spiritual or mental material as part of the entity.

All then falls away and the entity, while understanding, if you will, and appreciating the nature of the rejected material as part of the greater self, nevertheless, through the action of the will purifies and refines the mind/body/spirit complex, bringing into manifestation the desired mind complex or spirit complex attitude.

Ra said this weight gain was because the toxins stayed within my body and reactivated my kidney disease on a purely physical level. Ra suggested that the final healing of my kidneys would occur by affirmations of health, providing I did not experience any further, “untoward circumstance.” The healing did occur, and I learned more about my body and how fasting is best carried out with lots of water. In 80.1, Ra gave the general principle which manifests through affirmations:

Questioner: Thank you. Could you please give me the condition of the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. This instrument is experiencing mild fluctuations of the physical energy complex which are causing sudden changes from physical energy deficit to some slight physical energy. This is due to many, what you may call, prayers and affirmations offered to and by the instrument offset by continual greetings whenever it is feasible by the fifth-density entity of whom you are aware.

In other respects, the instrument is in the previously stated condition.

This morning I once again used the fungicide spray on the Perennial Giant Hibiscus which have come down with a fungus called brown spot. It is recommended that the leaves be sprayed every seven days until there is spray dripping from each leaf, so this took a little while to accomplish. I also used my trimmer to remove the moss from the bricks in the brick walk that goes through the Moss Garden because that should make walking there safer. Then I took my speed walk and a bath early as I have company coming noon to talk about future projects at L/L Research that I may be involved with in a month or so.

The House Of God

I am of the principle which animated Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

The basilica of your holy temple is most lofty and grand; the chancel of your cathedral most capacious and elegant, built by man as if to invite hosts of angels to dwell therein. Yet we say to you that those lofty spaces arching far above the head of the seeker are created of an instinct concerning the inner light of humankind, not the boarding needs of angels.

Let your thoughts and prayers be those which are uplifting and soaring above the common run of human thought and know that if you be not in those houses dedicated to the Lord God, yet still have you a lofty arch into which you may throw your heaving joy and groaning sorrow, for the great circle of human consciousness reaches to the very heart of the Creator regardless of your position in the world.

May your prayers be seen as having wings, not only in the house of God but in the greater house of God which is the world. May all places be holy to you this day.

“Questioner: Sorry that we have to ask so many maintenance questions. We seem to be in a confused condition now with respect to our abilities to continue in the direction we wish to with questioning on the archetypical mind.

I feel it necessary to ask what the cause of the symmetrical welts on the instrument’s back [is], and is there anything further that we can do to heal the instrument of any conditions, including these welts or their cause?

Ra: I am Ra. The welting is a symptom of that which has been a prolonged psychic greeting. The opportunity for this entity to experience massive allergic reaction from streptococcal and staphylococcal viruses has been offered in hopes that this entity would wish to leave the incarnation. The previous occurrence of this state of the mind complex occurring upon, in your time-numbering system, the ninth month, the twelfth day, of your present planetary solar revolution caught your fifth-density companion unprepared. The entity is now prepared.

There have been two instances wherein this entity could have started the reaction since the first opportunity was missed. Firstly, the opportunity to separate self from other-self in connection with the choosing of an house. Secondly, the possible vision of self separated from other-self in regard to the dissolving of mundane bonds concerning the leaving of this dwelling. Both opportunities were met by this entity with a refusal to separate self from other-self with further work also upon the indigo-ray level concerning the avoidance of martyrdom while maintaining unity in love.

Thusly, this instrument has had its immunal defenses breached and its lymphatic system involved in the invasion of these viri. You may see some merit in a purging of the instrument’s yellow-ray, chemical body in order to more quickly aid the weakened body complex in its attempt to remove these substances. Techniques include therapeutic enemas or colonics, the sauna once or twice in a day, and the use of vigorous rubbing of the integument for the period of approximately seven of your diurnal periods.

We speak not of diet, not because it might not aid, but because this entity ingests small quantities of any substance and is already avoiding certain substances, notably fresh milk and oil.

Questioner: Is there any particular place the integument should be vigorously rubbed?

Ra: I am Ra. No.”

Don began this question with an apology to Ra for our having to ask so many maintenance questions in the recent sessions. The fact of our situation was as Don said, and that was that Don and Carla were struggling with catalyst of the mind and the body, respectively, in staying in good enough shape to be able to have Ra sessions. Don was more and more worried bout Eastern Airlines remaining in business and his being able to pay our bills, about his own mental and emotional health, and about Carla’s condition. Carla had numerous physical problems related to her lupus and arthritis which were being intensified by our negative friends. So, Don’s specific question was to ask Ra what had caused the red blotches on both sides of Carla’s spine that were identical on each side. Each welt was oddly shaped and different from all the others on the same side of her back, but each welt had its mirror image on the other side of her back. According to Ra, this welting was a symptom of a long series of psychic greetings that had the aim of providing a way for Carla’s body to fail if Carla should ever become discouraged enough to want to leave the incarnation. Then Ra mentioned that such a despairing feeling had come to Carla on the 12^th of September, just a little over a month before this session with Ra. Our negative friend was not prepared to target Carla at that time but was now ready to do so. In 63.1, Ra gave the general principle as to why Carla was constantly under psychic attack:

Questioner: Could you give me an indication of the condition of the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. This instrument’s vital energies are at the distortion which is normal for this mind/body/spirit complex. The body complex is distorted due to psychic attack in the area of the kidneys and urinary tract. There is also distortion continuing due to the distortion called arthritis.

You may expect this psychic attack to be constant as this instrument has been under observation by negatively oriented force for some time.

And in 63.5, Ra gave the general principle of how we could deal with psychic attacks:

Questioner: I know that you have already answered this question, but I feel it my duty now to ask it each time in case there is some new development, and that is, is there anything that we can do that we aren’t doing to lessen the effectiveness of the psychic attack upon the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. Continue in love and praise and thanksgiving to the Creator. Examine previous material. Love is the great protector.

This was the last session that we held at the Watterson Trail house as we had picked out a house to move to north of Atlanta to try to make it easier for Don to get to work as he was based in Atlanta as a pilot for Eastern Air Lines. Carla was the one who was dealing with our landlord as we had tried to buy the Watterson Trail house and stay there. However, the attempt failed even after we had agreed upon a price. Our landlord arbitrarily decided that he wanted an extra $5,000 for the house, and Don refused to pay it as he felt our landlord was unscrupulous and untrustworthy. This situation caused Carla a great deal of distress although she never showed it consciously or in any way that Don and I could perceive. Then Ra mentioned one other opportunity that caused despair in Carla which our negative friend missed, and that was dealing with Don’s continued confusion about which house to rent in the Atlanta area. Carla helped him find a couple of good possibilities, but his mental and emotional decline had made it difficult for him to make a decision. Carla met this crisis, as well as the one with our landlord with love for both our landlord and for Don. Ra said that she also had worked upon her indigo-ray feelings of low self-worth and had gained in her valuing of herself. So, the catalyst was difficult, but Carla rose to both occasions by taking the higher road of giving love and understanding instead of any kind of separation or control. This was basically the suggestion that Ra had made in 104.3, and Carla took Ra’s words to heart:

Questioner: The instrument has determined that the unwise use of her will is its use without the joy and faith components and constitutes martyrdom. Would Ra comment on that, please?

Ra: I am Ra. We are pleased that the entity has pondered that which has been given. We would comment as follows. It is salubrious for the instrument to have knowledge which is less distorted towards martyrdom and which is rich in promise. The entity which is strong to think shall either be strong to act or that which it has shall be removed. Thus manifestation of knowledge is an area to be examined by the instrument.

We would further note that balancing which, in this entity’s case, is best accomplished in analysis and manifestation seated with the contemplation of silence, may be strengthened by manifested silence and lack of routine activity. We may go no further than this recommendation of regularized leisure, and desire that the entity discover the fundamental truths of these distortions as it will.

Our negative friend however—always hopeful of providing Carla with a path out of her incarnation—introduced enough psychic greetings to cause the welting on Carla’s back. Ra suggested that treating the situation would best be accomplished by Carla’s use of “therapeutic enemas or colonics, the sauna once or twice in a day, and the use of vigorous rubbing of the integument for the period of approximately seven of your diurnal periods.” When Don asked Ra if there was “any particular place that the integument should be rubbed,” Ra simply said, “No.” So we did our best to follow Ra’s instructions.

This morning I drained a quarter of the water out of the fish pond and refilled it with fresh water. As the water was draining out I cleaned the filters for the fountain and fertilized the water lilies in the pond, and I noticed that the two new water lilies were almost without any pads or leaves. The dirt in the containers was also quite low as if a raccoon had gotten into the pond. But I checked the netting and the large extension cord which holds it in place and saw no evidence of any break in these barriers that I have constructed for the purpose of keeping the raccoon out of the pond. After the pond was refilled I used my backpack blower to blow all of the dead leaves from the Sycamore tree out of the Moss Garden and also all of the leaves off of the pine straw mulch around the giant Sycamore and the cross area.

In the afternoon I used my trimmer to weed the Moss Garden, the Ruins Mound, and the liriope patches next to the fish pond and beside the cross area. Then I used my backpack blower to blow the weed trimmings out of the Moss Garden. I finished weeding the back yard by weeding the astilbe patch and Hidden Garden by hand. My last job was to spray all of the flower gardens in the yard with the deer and rabbit repellent.

If Your Soul Is Exhausted

I am of the consciousness of love, the spirit of Jesus Christ. I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

How woefully inadequate is the being who shuts off the flood gate of spiritual information! How quickly will that soul, in its attempt to serve, find itself empty and exhausted!

When Jesus Christ left its Earthly incarnation, there was no leaving of the spirit of love which this entity brought into manifestation from the Father. This inexhaustible source of energy and love vibrates as we speak through this instrument and may vibrate as well to all who ask.

If you are weary, if your soul is exhausted in service, turn to the consciousness of love and bask in the sea of joy and peace that awaits you. Open your channel to the water of infinite love, that as you serve, you may not weary and as you love, you may not tire.

For there is a peace beyond weariness and tiredness. And it is in that holy peace we leave you. Amen.

In response to Don’s maintenance question concerning Carla’s condition, Ra said that her vital energies were in a much more “biased state” than in the previous session. That biased state was undoubtedly for the better as they also said that her “faculties of will and faith” once more had a “prominent place in this entity’s existence and balance.” With all this good news concerning Carla’s condition it is very likely that she took Ra’s advice from the last session of 104.3 to heart:

Questioner: The instrument has determined that the unwise use of her will is its use without the joy and faith components and constitutes martyrdom. Would Ra comment on that, please?

Ra: I am Ra. We are pleased that the entity has pondered that which has been given. We would comment as follows. In the above quote, when Ra said: “We are pleased that the entity has pondered that which has been given” I believe that they were referring to the previous session, 103.8, where they gave Carla some thoughts to ponder about feeling unworthy:

As to the instrument, the journey from worth in action to worth in esse is arduous. The entity has denied itself in order to be free from that which it calls addiction. This sort of martyrdom, and here we speak of the small but symbolically great sacrifice of the clothing, causes the entity to frame a selfhood in poorness which feeds unworthiness unless the poverty is seen to be true richness. In other words, good works for the wrong reasons cause confusion and distortion. We encourage the instrument to value itself and to see that its true requirements are valued by the self. We suggest contemplation of true richness of being.

So, after some self-examination in response to Ra’s description of her situation of seeing herself as unworthy, Carla made some real strides forward in the increase of her vital energy which fueled the Ra contact in a normal and proper way. The power of Carla’s will was never in question, only its proper use without the movement into martyrdom. Ra finished their answer by saying that “The physical deficit continues,” and that was no surprise as it was almost always the case. Her pre-incarnative choice of arthritis as a means to limit her outer world activities and focus her attention on her inner spiritual journey produced pain which, over a long period of time, reduced her physical energy. And, of course, our friend of negative polarity found this situation a perfect and perpetual target of opportunity to enhance both the pain and the physical energy deficit. In 67.2, Ra discussed Carla’s strong will, the effects of long-term pain on Carla’s body, and our negative friend’s enhancing Carla’s pain through psychic greetings:

Questioner: Can you describe what you call the psychic attack component and tell me why it is strong at this particular time?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall elect not to retrace previously given information but rather elect to note that the psychic attack upon this instrument is at a constant level as long as it continues in this particular service.

Variations towards the distortion of intensity of attack occur due to the opportunities presented by the entity in any weakness. At this particular nexus the entity has been dealing with the distortion which you call pain for some time, as you call this measurement, and this has a cumulatively weakening effect upon physical energy levels. This creates a particularly favorable target of opportunity, and the entity of which we have previously spoken has taken this opportunity to attempt to be of service in its own way. It is fortunate for the ongoing vitality of this contact that the instrument is a strong-willed entity with little tendency towards the distortion, called among your peoples, hysteria, since the dizzying effects of this attack have been constant and at times disruptive for several of your diurnal periods.

However, this particular entity is adapting well to the situation without undue distortions towards fear. Thus the psychic attack is not successful but does have some draining influence upon the instrument.

This morning I used the hose and watering wand to water the flowers in the front and back yards. I will pump out the fish pond tomorrow morning and water the flowers in the side yard with the water that comes out of the pond. It has been nearly two weeks since we have gotten rain, and all of the flowers need a drink at least every other day.

This afternoon I leveled out a large stone in the walkway in the front yard, next to the Wuthering Heights Mound, that had been pushed up and out of place by the roots of the Red Bud tree about 15 feet away. I just shaved an inch or so off the top of the root so that the stone would no longer be a trip hazard for people who will be attending our Homecoming Gathering two weeks from this coming weekend.

Just as I began to edit this journal entry, a thunderstorm rolled over us and brought an inch and a half of rain! Music to my ears and new growth to my gardens!

Peace In Cycles Of Change

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

As you gaze upon this day you may see the growing signs of harvest time: the yellowed leaf, the cooler sun, the shortened time of light, the beginning of the end of summer, and the rolling change into autumn.

So are the rhythms of the interior life as well, moving in spiral fashion towards an ever higher goal of love and unity. Should the tree cling to its yellow leaf, then as further change unrolled there would be no room for the green leaf of spring. Should you cling to those fashions and fruits of your manifestation before this moment, you may be keeping yourself from experiencing the rhythm of change.

In that rhythm is rightness and the breaking through into new life experiences. May you embrace the cycles of your moods, your activities, your thoughts and your body itself as it experiences the cycles of change, each of which gives to seeking souls the unending opportunity to experience the mind of Christ which offers peace in suffering, peace in change, and peace over all things.

In this ineffable peace we leave you now and ever. Amen.

I am Ra. We leave you in appreciation of the circumstances of the great illusion in which you now choose to play the pipe and timbrel and move in rhythm. We are also players upon a stage. The stage changes. The acts ring down. The lights come up once again. And throughout the grand illusion and the following and the following there is the undergirding majesty of the One Infinite Creator. All is well. Nothing is lost. Go forth rejoicing in the love and the light, the peace and the power of the One Infinite Creator. I am Ra. Adonai.”

Don used most of this session to ask Ra how we could help Gandalf, our beloved cat who was going blind, as we were in the process of moving to our Lakehouse just north of Atlanta, Georgia so that Don could be closer to his work as an airline pilot based in Atlanta. As it turned out there was nothing that we could do to help him, so as his last question of the session Don asked Ra if he was correct in assuming that prior to the veil of forgetting there was no plan for the archetypical mind to aid in the evolutionary process, and mind/body/spirits could evolve in any way that they chose. Ra simply said “No,” and went on to give us a most inspiring illustration of how the eventual death of Gandalf’s physical body was a natural process and nothing of Gandalf’s true being—or anyone’s being for that matter—was lost in the death process as Ra stated in 30.4:

Questioner: Is there any loss to the mind or spirit after this transition which we call death or any impairment of either because of the loss of this chemical body that we now have?

Ra: I am Ra. In your terms there is a great loss of mind complex due to the fact that much of the activity of a mental nature of which you are aware during the experience of this space/time continuum is as much of a surface illusion as is the chemical body complex.

In other terms nothing whatever of importance is lost; the character or, shall we say, pure distillation of emotions and biases or distortions and wisdoms, if you will, becoming obvious for the first time, shall we say; these pure emotions and wisdoms and bias/distortions being, for the most part, either ignored or underestimated during physical life experience.

In terms of the spiritual, this channel is then much opened due to the lack of necessity for the forgetting characteristic of third density.

Returning to Don’s assumption about there being no archetypes prior to the veiling process, Don must have forgotten that he had already gotten that information from Ra in 79.14-17, where “the experiment to extend the first distortion” can be seen as the introduction of the veil of forgetting:

Questioner: Thank you. Prior to the experiment to extend the first distortion how many archetypes were there for the creation of the Logos of that time?

Ra: I am Ra. There were nine.

Questioner: Nine archetypes, I will guess that those nine were three of mind, three of body, and three of spirit. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct.

Questioner: I am going to guess that in the system of the tarot those archetypes would roughly correspond to, for the mind, the Magician, the Emperor, and the Chariot. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is incorrect.

Questioner: Could you tell me what they correspond to?

Ra: I am Ra. The body, the mind, and the spirit each contained and functioned under the aegis of the matrix, the potentiator, and the significator. The significator of the mind, body, and spirit is not identical to the significator of the mind, body, and spirit complexes.

Today was another Sabbath Day of Rest, and I would like to give you another interpretation of what this means according to Joel Goldsmith, one of my favorite mystical writers of all time. Instead of seeing the Sabbath as the day that God rested after creating the heavens and the earth, this is how he interprets the true nature of what is normally called the Sabbath:

“In the consciousness of Sabbath, you need not go out an get meat, for you have it. By what right? By your recognition that you and the Father are one. For six days you have labored to study and to train yourself, and those “six days,” remember, are for most of you many, many years. But there comes a rest to My people; there comes a sabbath; and that is when you stop all your metaphysical struggling, relax and let Grace live your life.

When you come to the “sixth day” of your practice, just smile: “I do not have to pray for anything. I already have hidden manna the world knows not of.” Do you see how the teaching in the Bible is veiled, and how it takes a transcendental consciousness to unveil it? The mystics did not hide it: words hid it.”

With this new look at the meaning of the Sabbath in my mind, I think that it might be well not to refer to the generally accepted meaning of only Sunday being holy but to see that all days are a part of that great journey of seeking the Father within and then living by Grace when that journey is complete.

After lunch I took my usual errand run, and my first stop was Feeder’s Supply where I bought canned cat food for the cats upstairs. Then I stopped at Paul’s Fruit Market to get some food for myself. My last stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store to get some non-food items and some ice cream for myself.

The Secret Is To Remember

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of unconditional love.

Whatever you have been doing, stop now. For a moment, experience the Creator within. Let this habit become more and more pronounced in the many moments of the daily round when the mind is otherwise under-occupied or unoccupied.

In training the self to seek the Creator within, again and yet again and even yet again, in unending succession of moments, so does each seeker begin to glow from within with the consciousness of unconditional love which communion with the one infinite Creator does provide.

As a human you cannot love any without condition. Yet when you acknowledge the unconditional love that is the Christ self, the Creator self within, you may tap into an infinite source of energy, strength, power and joy.

And you may share that consciousness without even trying. The secret is to remember to remember the Creator. May you fare well in training the mind to bow to infinite love and compassion.

We leave you in the love and peace of Jesus the Christ, now and ever. Amen.

We come in the name of Love and open our hearts, our minds, and our souls to send love, light, and healing energies to Mother Earth as she brings forth a New Earth in fourth density. We ask that the infinite love, light, and healing energies of the One Infinite Creator heal the heart of each soul in pain on Earth tonight. May all souls on Earth feel our love, light, and healing energies in their hearts, in their minds, and in their souls. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 104.3:

“Questioner: The instrument has determined that the unwise use of her will is its use without the joy and faith components and constitutes martyrdom. Would Ra comment on that, please?

Ra: I am Ra. We are pleased that the entity has pondered that which has been given. We would comment as follows. It is salubrious for the instrument to have knowledge which is less distorted towards martyrdom and which is rich in promise. The entity which is strong to think shall either be strong to act or that which it has shall be removed. Thus manifestation of knowledge is an area to be examined by the instrument.

We would further note that balancing which, in this entity’s case, is best accomplished in analysis and manifestation seated with the contemplation of silence, may be strengthened by manifested silence and lack of routine activity. We may go no further than this recommendation of regularized leisure, and desire that the entity discover the fundamental truths of these distortions as it will.”

In Session #103, Carla had Don ask Ra why she had lost her joy. The answer was, in part, that she had decided not to use the medicine that could have helped relieve the pain of her lower GI tract spasming. She decided to use the catalyst that had caused the pain, but her will and faith components were not fully engaged, so the pain remained. She analyzed the situation and decided that it was a symbol of her tendency toward martyrdom to use her will in this manner without emphasizing her faith too. In this question Don asks Ra if her analysis of her situation is correct. Ra said that her analysis was good and would point her away from martyrdom, but she would need to put her thoughts into action. If she did not act upon her analysis “that which she had would be removed.” This suggests the possible loss of the Ra contact, her ability to serve the Creator, and perhaps even her life itself. In 44.1, we first heard Ra speak of how Carla used her will in a way that Ra described as that of the martyr:

Questioner: The instrument had some question as to her vitality. We were having a hard time appraising it. Is it possible for you to comment on this?

Ra: I am Ra. We scan this instrument and find that we may be of service without infringement due to this instrument’s decision to abide by the most careful appraisal possible rather than the most desired.

We have been surprised that we have been able to maintain contact on a regular basis during this most intense period of negatively influenced interference. Sexual energy transfers have at some workings given this instrument additional vital resources upon which to draw. However, this is not so at this working and, therefore, the will of the instrument drives its bodily complex. This instrument has no judgment about this service. The faculty of will, while recognized as most central and valuable, could in this application cause serious distortion in bodily complex of the instrument. May we note that martyrdom is not necessarily helpful. We ask this instrument to examine these thoughts, judge, and discriminate the possible truth of them, and if they be deemed true we suggest this instrument release the power of judgment to the support group whose interests are balanced far more than this instrument’s. Allow decisions to be made without expectation or attachment to the outcome. Our hopes, may we say, for long-term contact through this instrument depend upon its maturing ability to be of service to other-selves by accepting their help and thus remaining a viable instrument.

Ra suggested meditation for most people in the use of the balancing exercises, but here Ra suggests that it would be helpful if Carla use “regularized leisure” in which she would mentally analyze her condition and how to improve it. Ra further suggested that her thoughts and resulting actions be “seated with the contemplation of silence, [and that they] may be strengthened by manifested silence and lack of routine activity.” For the rest of her life Carla took leisure time to think and to read and to contemplate her sense of low self-worth that was a life-long lesson for her. In the last years of her life she was able to learn self-worth which allowed her to receive the love offerings of others when her lower back surgery confined her to her hospital bed for the last four years of her life. Back in 60.8, Ra first suggested it was necessary for Carla to learn how to accept the love offerings of others since she had already learned how to give without expectation of return when she was a child and her parents gave her only constructive criticism for all of her efforts of service as a child prodigy:

Questioner: What would she do then in order to alleviate these problems?

Ra: I am Ra. As we have said, this instrument, feeling that it lacked compassion to balance wisdom, chose an incarnative experience whereby it was of necessity placed in situations of accepting self in the absence of other-selves’ acceptance and the acceptance of other-self without expecting a return or energy transfer. This is not an easy program for an incarnation but was deemed proper by this entity. This entity therefore must needs meditate and consciously, moment by moment, accept the self in its limitations which have been placed for the very purpose of bringing this entity to the precise tuning we are using. Further, having learned to radiate acceptance and love without expecting return, this entity now must balance this by learning to accept the gifts of love and acceptance of others which this instrument feels some discomfort in accepting. These two balancing workings will aid this entity in the release from the distortion called pain. The limitations are, to a great extent, fixed.

This morning I completed Chapter 8 of Living the Law of One 102: The Outer Work. The completes my work on 102 and 103 in which I attempted to share more thoughts that might make some of the concepts clearer and to add my own personal experiences as examples of how some of the concepts could be applied to anyone’s spiritual journey. Then I went outside and used the hose and wand to water all of the flowers and the small forsythia bushes on the north and south borders of my property.

At noon I was once again a guest on Jonathan Tong’s Seattle Law of One Study Group for another Q & A session. The questions today felt of especial high quality, and it was fun to share some of my thoughts about how the Law of One can be applied to anyone’s spiritual path and how it has enhanced my own spiritual journey.

In the afternoon I began a small painting project in the basement on the wall that surrounds the small window just as you come into the basement through the door from the outside. I used a metal brush to scrape the paint off the wall and was amazed at how much came off in the form of dust. I covered my nose and mouth with a bandana and my eyes with safety glasses to keep the dust from becoming a real problem. I only had enough paint to get about half the job done, so I had to drive to Walmart to get another gallon of paint to finish the job.

The Singular Way

I am of the principle of love and I greet you in the consciousness of Jesus the Christ.

Only the fool sets about examining the life of the builder of all things, thinking that by this man and by that man shall come forth lessons of wisdom which may be picked and chosen among for the benefit of the self.

The wise man sees the singular way, the way of commitment, trust and belief. We of the spirit of the love of Jesus the Christ cannot say to anyone, “Follow the Son of God. Become Sons and Daughters of God.” For that would be presumptuous. For not all are ready to make such a decision. Yet if you follow Jesus the Christ, follow Him not as an inspired teacher among others but as the Son of the living God. For the riches of the love of Jesus the Christ open themselves like precious jewels in the heart of him who trusts and believes.

Such are the ways of love and peace and in that peace we leave you, both now and always. Amen.
