I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 70.5:

“Questioner: I have an extra little question that I want to throw in at this time. Is regressive hypnosis of an individual to reveal to them memories of previous incarnations a service or a disservice to them?

Ra: I am Ra. We scan your query and find you shall apply the answer to your future. This causes us to be concerned with the First Distortion. However, the query is also general and contains an opportunity for us to express a significant point. Therefore, we shall speak.

There is an infinite range of possibility of service/disservice in the situation of time-regression hypnosis, as you term this means of aiding memory. It has nothing to do with the hypnotist. It has only to do with the use which the entity so hypnotized makes of the information so gleaned. If the hypnotist desires to serve, and if such a service is performed only upon sincere request, the hypnotist is attempting to be of service.”

In this question Don changed the pace of previous questions and asked Ra if regressive hypnosis of an individual to reveal memories of previous incarnations was a service or a disservice to them. Ra hesitated in answering this question because they saw that Don would rely on their answer in agreeing to such a session with a person who had asked for it. But Ra decided to answer the question because they saw an opportunity to speak to what they called a “significant point”. The point was simply allowing us to understand that whether regressive hypnosis was a service or not was determined by the one to be hypnotized. The hypnotist simply needed to desire to be of service and respond to what they perceived as a sincere desire for such a session. In this way the hypnotist is doing all that is possible to be of service. In 18.6, Ra gave a general guideline as to how to be of service to others:

Thus, what would be an improper distortion with one entity is proper with another. We can suggest an attempt to become aware of the other-self as self and thus do that action which is needed by other-self, understanding from the other-self’s intelligence and awareness. In many cases this does not involve the breaking of the distortion of Free Will into a distortion, or fragmentation, called infringement. However, it is a delicate matter to be of service, and compassion, sensitivity, and an ability to empathize are helpful in avoiding the distortions of man-made intelligence and awareness.

Don began doing regressive hypnosis in the mid-50s as a means of proving to himself that reincarnation was really the way that we progress in the spiritual sense over many lifetimes. From the time that he was in high school he had begun asking the big questions in life such as: “What is the meaning of life?”, “Are we alone in the universe?”, and “Who made the universe?” At that age all that he could do to try to find answers to these questions was to take the hard sciences in high school and college. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and two Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville and began teaching physics there in 1955. But through all of his studies in the various fields of since it became clear to him that the answers that he sought were not to be found there. Regressive hypnosis gave him some direction in seeking answers to his big questions. Of course, those of Ra finally answered all of those questions for him. . .and many more as well. In 21.9, one of those answers dealt in depth with the concept of reincarnation:

Questioner: Now, when the 75,000-year cycle started, the life span was approximately nine hundred years, average. What was the process and scheduling of . . . mechanism, shall I say, of reincarnation at that time, and how did the time in between incarnations into third-density physical apply to the growth of the mind/body/spirit complex?

Ra: I am Ra. This query is more complex than most. We shall begin. The incarnation pattern of the beginning third-density mind/body/spirit complex begins in darkness, for you may think, or consider, of your density as one of, as you may say, a sleep and a forgetting. This is the only plane of forgetting. It is necessary for the third-density entity to forget so that the mechanisms of confusion, or free will, may operate upon the newly individuated consciousness complex.

Thus, the beginning entity is one in all innocence oriented towards animalistic behavior using other-selves only as extensions of self for the preservation of the all-self. The entity becomes slowly aware that it has needs, shall we say, that are not animalistic; that is, that are useless for survival. These needs include: the need for companionship, the need for laughter, the need for beauty, the need to know the universe about it. These are the beginning needs.

As the incarnations begin to accumulate, further needs are discovered: the need to trade, the need to love, the need to be loved, the need to elevate animalistic behaviors to a more universal perspective.

During the first portion of third-density cycles, incarnations are automatic and occur rapidly upon the cessation of energy complex of the physical vehicle. There is small need to review or to heal the experiences of the incarnation. As, what you would call, the energy centers begin to be activated to a higher extent, more of the content of experience during incarnation deals with the lessons of love.

Thus the time, as you may understand it, between incarnations is lengthened to give appropriate attention to the review and the healing of experiences of the previous incarnation. At some point in third density, the green-ray energy center becomes activated, and at that point incarnation ceases to be automatic.

In 71.6, Ra revealed how the process of making our own pre-incarnative choices as we reincarnate is achieved:

Questioner: As an entity goes through the death process in third density and finds itself in time/space, it finds itself in a different set of circumstances. Would you please describe the properties or circumstances of time/space and then the process of healing of incarnative experiences that some entities encounter?

Ra: I am Ra. Although this query is difficult to answer adequately due to the limitations of your space/time sound vibration complexes, we shall respond to the best of our ability.

The hallmark of time/space is the inequity between time and space. In your space/time the spatial orientation of material causes a tangible framework for illusion. In time/space the inequity is upon the shoulders of that property known to you as time. This property renders entities and experiences intangible in a relative sense. In your framework each particle, or core vibration, moves at a velocity which approaches what you call the speed of light from the direction of supraluminal velocities.

Thus the time/space, or metaphysical, experience is that which is very finely tuned and, although an analog of space/time, lacking in its tangible characteristics. In these metaphysical planes there is a great deal of what you call time which is used to review and re-review the biases and learn/teachings of a prior, as you would call it, space/time incarnation.

The extreme fluidity of these regions makes it possible for much to be penetrated which must needs be absorbed before the process of healing of an entity may be accomplished. Each entity is located in a somewhat immobile state, much as you are located in space/time in a somewhat immobile state in time. In this immobile space the entity has been placed by the form-maker and higher self so that it may be in the proper configuration for learn/teaching that which it has received in the space/time incarnation.

Depending upon this time/space locus there will be certain helpers which assist in this healing process. The process involves seeing in full the experience, seeing it against the backdrop of the mind/body/spirit complex total experience, forgiving the self for all missteps as regards the missed guideposts during the incarnation and, finally, the careful assessment of the next necessities for learning. This is done entirely by the higher self until an entity has become conscious in space/time of the process and means of spiritual evolution, at which time the entity will consciously take part in all decisions.

This morning I decided to use my backpack blower and blow the remaining leaves in the front and side yard into the pile of leaves that I left under a tarp last Saturday. All of my garbage cans are full of leaves, so I will leave these leaves under the tarp until yard waste picks up what I have in the garbage cans Thursday. Then I should be able to get these leaves under the tarp, and the remaining leaves in the back yard, into the garbage cans and be very close to done with my leaf work for the year.

I am posting this journal entry a bit early today as I am getting ready for our channeling circle to meet this evening at 5 pm. This will be our last channeling circle of the year. We are hopeful that we can begin public channeling meetings at some point next year, and if that happens these folks are ready to channel in prime time as they have been working on their channeling now for five years. The Personal Nature Of Love

I am the spirit of the full consciousness of Christ. I greet you in His perfect love and in the holy name of the Son of God.

It is through the mediation of Jesus, the man who spells salvation for you, that I speak, and not only from God. For it is the Creator’s desire to personify consciousness into godliness and to generalize personhood into creation itself, so that experience may become infinite and infinity may be experienced.

It is to those who accept the personal nature of love that love shall be given most fully. For it is to the adoring heart that love may speak most clearly.

And how to adore that which is impersonal?

We come in consciousness. We are consciousness. And we speak to consciousness. Know yourself as the personhood of God in Christ and turn your faces in adoration to the person of the Creator, which comes for you and to you and through you.

We are only extensions of the spirit of that great drive of the consciousness of love; only the principle that extends the liveness of the Creator.

“Questioner: The instrument has complained of intensive psychic attack for the past diurnal period, approximately. Is there a reason for the intensification of this at this time?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

Questioner: Can you tell me what this reason is, please?

Ra: I am Ra. The cause is that with which you are intimately involved; that is, the cause is the intensive seeking for what you may call enlightenment. This seeking upon your parts has not abated but intensified.

In the general case, pain—as you call this distortion, and the various exaggerations of this distortion by psychic attack—would, after the depletion of physical complex energy, begin the depletion of vital energy.

This instrument guards its vital energy due to previous errors upon its part. Its subconscious will, which is preternaturally strong for this density, has put a ward upon this energy complex. Thus the Orion visitor strives with more and more intensity to disturb this vital energy as this group intensifies its dedication to service through enlightenment.”

Our seeking for enlightenment was not just for ourselves but for the enlightenment of any who might be interested in the Law of One information which we were obtaining from those of Ra. If we had been seeking only personal enlightenment we would likely have not had the psychic greetings that were so common during the Ra contact–especially for Carla since she was the instrument, and since her physical body had such limitations. Enlightened beings, even if only partially enlightened, cannot be manipulated and controlled as can those who exist in ignorance or darkness. Such enlightened beings don’t make good slaves of negative forces. So our friend off negative polarity moved all stops out to try to stop the Ra contact through a series of such greetings. In 67.13, Ra went into considerable detail to describe how our negative friend went about his work:

Questioner: I was wondering about the magical, shall I say, principles behind the fifth-density entity giving this service and his ability to give it. Why is he able to utilize these particular physical distortions from a philosophical or magical point of view?

Ra: I am Ra. This entity is able to, shall we say, penetrate in time/space configuration the field of this particular entity. It has moved through the quarantine without any vehicle and, thus, has been more able to escape detection by the net of the Guardians.

This is the great virtue of the magical working whereby consciousness is sent forth, essentially without vehicle, as light. The light would work instantly upon an untuned individual by suggestion; that is, the stepping out in front of the traffic because the suggestion is that there is no traffic. This entity, as each in this group, is enough disciplined in the ways of love and light that it is not suggestible to any great extent.

However, there is a predisposition of the physical complex which this entity is making maximal use of as regards the instrument, hoping, for instance, by means of increasing dizziness to cause the instrument to fall or to, indeed, walk in front of your traffic because of impaired vision.

The magical principles, shall we say, may be loosely translated into your system of magic whereby symbols are used and traced and visualized in order to develop the power of the light.

Our negative friend’s hope was that if it could increase Carla’s physical pain over a long period of time that she would begin to call upon her vital energies not only for her daily life but also for the Ra contact. She had done this earlier in the contact and had discovered that it was an unwise move as depleting her vital energies by a conscious choice would eventually end the Ra contact as Ra said in 92.35:

Questioner: Is there anything that we can do to make the instrument more comfortable or improve the contact?

Ra: I am Ra. The support group is functioning well.

The instrument, itself, might ponder some earlier words and consider their implications. We say this because the continued calling upon vital energies, if allowed to proceed to the end of the vital energy, will end this contact. There is not the need for continued calling upon these energies. The instrument must find the key to this riddle or face a growing loss of this particular service at this particular space/time nexus.

With this knowledge in mind she used her very strong will to guard her vital energies, and we as a group decided that we would only have sessions with Ra that were fueled by sexual energy exchanges between her and me. In 44.1, Ra described how Carla had made unwise choices regarding the use of her vital energies in order to have sessions with those of Ra:

Questioner: The instrument had some question as to her vitality. We were having a hard time appraising it. Is it possible for you to comment on this?

Ra: I am Ra. We scan this instrument and find that we may be of service without infringement due to this instrument’s decision to abide by the most careful appraisal possible rather than the most desired.

We have been surprised that we have been able to maintain contact on a regular basis during this most intense period of negatively influenced interference. Sexual energy transfers have at some workings given this instrument additional vital resources upon which to draw. However, this is not so at this working and, therefore, the will of the instrument drives its bodily complex. This instrument has no judgment about this service. The faculty of will, while recognized as most central and valuable, could in this application cause serious distortion in bodily complex of the instrument.

May we note that martyrdom is not necessarily helpful. We ask this instrument to examine these thoughts, judge, and discriminate the possible truth of them; and if they be deemed true, we suggest this instrument release the power of judgment to the support group whose interests are balanced far more than this instrument’s. Allow decisions to be made without expectation or attachment to the outcome. Our hopes, may we say, for long-term contact through this instrument depend upon its maturing ability to be of service to other-selves by accepting their help and thus remaining a viable instrument.

May we thank the questioner for allowing us to speak to this point, for we were aware of the distortions incumbent upon one whose will to serve is not regulated by knowledge of limitations of bodily-complex distortion.

In 68.2, Ra suggested that we have sessions only when Carla had available transferred energy:

Questioner: With the physical energies depleted completely should I continue with the session? I’m not sure exactly what that means.

Ra: I am Ra. We have available transferred energy which is due to the service offered by two of this group and, therefore, we are able to continue. Were it not for this transferred energy the instrument, whose will is strong, would have depleted its vital energies by willing the available resources.

Thus if there is no transfer of energy, and if the instrument seems depleted to the extent it now is, it is well to refrain from using the instrument. If there is energy transferred, this service may be accepted without damage to the distortion of normal vital energy.

We may note that the physical energy has been exhausted, not due to the distortion toward pain, although this is great at this space/time, but primarily due to the cumulative effects of continual experience of this distortion.

Today was another Sabbath Day of Rest. In the morning I worked on the talk that I will give next summer to a group in Virginia. After lunch I made my usual errand run to Feeder’s Supply to pick up some food for the cats, and then I stopped in at Walgreen’s to pick up some non-food items for myself. I did my usual meditation and reading of the Law of One in the afternoon along with listening to a talk on the topic of meditation by a friend of mine who has recently become a teacher of meditation. There are six other talks that complete the course of teaching that I hope to listen to within the next few weeks.

For most of his life he has been a mentor for kids and a UFO researcher. Come, Worship Life Within You

I am the spirit of that which all men seek, the spirit of love. I am of the principle of the Father and of the redemption of the Son. I greet you in the full and perfect confidence of the consciousness of love.

It is unknown to many of your peoples what kind of God created the myriad of universes and the infinite detail that makes up each life. And yet if the powers of observation function even feebly, the nature of the Creator can be seen. For no story within the creation has a true ending. All things are propagated again and again, to shine in glory from season to season. The creation is rich with seeds of life and seeds of consciousness.

Thus it can be seen that we as spirit are alive because the Creator is God of life. And if there is within you death, yet it is not the death of aught save hands and feet, not the death of thought or love or consciousness.

Thus we offer to you not the sensations which end in death but those which offer to your consciousness fruit for heart and soul, always renewed, always transforming. Come and worship life and love in the infinite consciousness within you. We who comfort are here to comfort infinitely.

May you be washed, bathed and blessed in the comfortable peace that fears not death: the love of Christ. Amen.

“Questioner: There are many techniques and ways of practicing so-called white magical arts. Are rituals designed by a particular group for their own particular use just as good, or possibly better, than those that have been practiced by groups such as the Order of the Golden Dawn and other magical groups?

Ra: I am Ra. Although we are unable to speak with precision on this query, we may note some gratification that the questioner has penetrated some of the gist of a formidable system of service and discipline.

I am Ra. May we thank you again, my friends, for your conscientiousness. All is well. We leave you rejoicing in the power and the peace of the One Infinite Creator. Go forth with joy. Adonai.”

This session, as well as the one before it, was concentrated on the type of psychic greeting where our negative friend of fifth density had plans to misplace Carla’s spirit in negative time/space. Ra mentioned a couple of times in these sessions that it would be well for our group to begin practice of the white ceremonial magic to provide more protection for Carla during sessions with Ra. So in this question Don began to pursue this suggestion with the question as to whether rituals that we designed ourselves might be as good or better than rituals already in existence by established groups such as the Order of the Golden Dawn. An internet search for a description of the Order of the Golden Dawn yielded this information:

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was a magical order of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, which practiced various forms of theurgy and spiritual occultism. It was possibly the single greatest influence on twentieth century western Hermeticism. Concepts of magic and ritual that became core elements of many other traditions, including Wicca, Thelema, and other forms of magical spirituality popular today, were often drawn from the Golden Dawn tradition.

The three founders, Dr. William Robert Woodman (1828 – December 20, 1891), William Wynn Westcott (December 17, 1848 – July 30, 1925), and Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers (1854 – 1918) were Freemasons and members of Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (S.R.I.A.), an appendix of Freemasonry. Westcott, also a member of the Theosophical Society, appears to have been the initial driving force behind the establishment of the Golden Dawn.

Ra said that they could not be precise with their answer, but they seemed pleased to say that with that question Don had “penetrated some of the gist of a formidable system of service and discipline.” I believe what they could not be precise about was that we would need to develop these rituals and then practice them regularly for a long period of time for them to surpass the established rituals that have been available for hundreds of years in some cases. In 74.15, Ra mentioned how established rituals would be the superior choice to begin with, regarding our choosing of the Banishing ritual of the Lesser Pentagram that we used to purify our living room where we meditated before a Ra session:

Questioner: If we had constructed a ritual of our own with words used for the first time in the sequence of protection, what would have been the relative merit of this with respect to the ritual that we chose?

Ra: I am Ra. It would be less. In constructing ritual it is well to study the body of written work which is available, for names of positive, or service-to-others, power are available.

In 71.15-.17, Don began questioning Ra in the area of white ceremonial magic that Ra had suggested would be well for us to explore as a group:

Questioner: Could you please comment on the accuracy of this statement? I’m going to generally talk about the concept of magic and first define it as the ability to create changes in consciousness at will. Is this an acceptable definition?

Ra: I am Ra. This definition is acceptable in that it places upon the adept the burden it shall bear. It may be better understood by referring back to an earlier query, in your measurement, within this working having to do with the unmanifested self. In magic one is working with one’s unmanifested self in body, in mind, and in spirit; the mixture depending upon the nature of the working.

These workings are facilitated by the enhancement of the activation of the indigo-ray energy center. The indigo-ray energy center is fed, as are all energy centers, by experience, but far more than the others is fed by what we have called the disciplines of the personality.

Questioner: I will state that the objective of a white magical ritual is to create a change in consciousness of a group. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Not necessarily. It is possible for what you term white magic to be worked for the purpose of altering only the self, or the place of working. This is done in the knowledge that to aid the self in polarization towards love and light is to aid the planetary vibration.

Questioner: The change in consciousness should result in a greater distortion towards service to others, toward unity with all, and toward knowing in order to serve. Is this correct, and are there any other desired results?

Ra: I am Ra. These are commendable phrases. The heart of white magic is the experience of the joy of union with the Creator. This joy will, of necessity, radiate throughout the life experience of the positive adept. It is for this reason that sexual magic is not restricted solely to the negatively oriented polarizing adepts, but, when most carefully used, has its place in high magic as it, when correctly pursued, joins body, mind, and spirit with the One Infinite Creator.

Any purpose which you may frame should, we suggest, take into consideration this basic union with the One Infinite Creator, for this union will result in service to others of necessity.

Don was able to query Ra concerning the basic principles of white ceremonial magic as he had been studying in this area for a number of years. In 34.3, Don asked Ra about an experience that he had in the mid ‘60s:

Questioner: Is it possible for you to tell me what I experienced, around 1964 I believe it was, when in meditation I became aware of what I would consider to be a different density and different planet, and seemed to experience moving onto that planet? Is it possible for you to tell me what experience that was?

Ra: I am Ra. We see some harm in full disclosure due to infringement. We content ourselves with suggesting that this entity, which is not readily able to subject itself to the process of hypnotic regression instigated by others, nevertheless, has had its opportunities for understanding of its beingness.

In 42.16-.19, Don asked Ra about the nature of this experience:

Questioner: I had one experience in meditation (which I spoke of before), which was very profound, approximately twenty years ago, a little less. What disciplines would be most applicable to re-create this situation and this type of experience?

Ra: I am Ra. Your experience would best be approached from the ceremonial magical stance. However, the wanderer or adept shall have the far greater potential for this type of experience which, as you have undoubtedly analyzed to be the case, is one of an archetypal nature, one belonging to the roots of cosmic consciousness.

Questioner: Was that in any way related to the Golden Dawn in ceremonial magic?

Ra: I am Ra. The relationship was congruency.

Questioner: Then in attempting to reproduce this experience would I then best follow practices for the Order of the Golden Dawn in reproducing this?

Ra: I am Ra. To attempt to reproduce an initiatory experience is to move, shall we say, backwards. However, the practice of this form of service to others is appropriate in your case, working with your associates. It is not well for positively polarized entities to work singly. The reasons for this are obvious.

Questioner: Then this experience was a form of initiation? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

Don continued to question Ra about white ceremonial magic in Sessions 71-75, but we never were able to move very far in this direction of practicing white ceremonial magic because, as I have mentioned before, our main focus in the last year or more of the Ra contact we were dealing with the difficulties that Don and Carla were experiencing more and more as time went on.

Early this morning the entire state of Kentucky experienced lightning, thunder, heavy winds and rain, and in many places there were tornadoes. In far western Kentucky, especially in Mayfield, Kentucky, a massive tornado tore through this town and killed at least 100 people and flattened the town of 10,000 people. The Governor of Kentucky said that it was the “blackest day in the history of Kentucky.” This single tornado traveled nearly 230 miles from northern Texas, through Arkansas, and Kentucky, further than any other tornado in the last 100 years. Tragedies like this occur around the world every day, but they seem to carry more weight when they hit so close to home.

In the late morning I made a trip to southern Indiana to visit a dear friend who has been living in a nursing home for the last two- and one-half years because she suffered a serious stroke in July of 2019. The left side of her body is paralyzed, and she struggles to communicate, but she is dealing with the situation and living the best life that she knows how to live. We shared lunch together and then had a Zoom cast with two other dear friends so that we could all see each other and enjoy each other’s company. These three women were some of Carla’s best friends and came to visit her every few weeks when she was confined to her hospital bed for the last four years of her life. There is nothing like good friends to help one deal with personal tragedies.

Hope

I am the son of God, a principle created by an inspired and inspiring life and teaching. We greet you in the full consciousness of that love which is in Jesus the Christ.

This instrument is quite doubting this morning, for she feels that it is hopeless to attempt true communion with her experiences at this time being difficult emotionally. Yet to those especially troubled we give a special invitation. The spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, that force which by any other name is the same, desires to comfort all His people as it is written in your holy work, the Bible. There need be no stragglers of hopelessness; no long line of those who wait and watch for a glimmer of hope.

To those who suffer this day, we ask that each spend time in a nurturing atmosphere. When this is impossible physically may we encourage you with godly hope to reserve that portion of yourself which is the balance point and from that point to trust that the harmonic plan of life is indeed right where it should be.

If this is not seen to be so, then the perspective has not yet become full enough for a greater understanding. Be patient under this limitation and persevere in hoping. For those things for which we hope are those things which shall manifest in your life.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 69.18-.19:

“Questioner: This instrument performs services on Sunday night channeling other members of the Confederation. We are reluctant to continue this because of the possibility of her slipping into trance and being offered the services of the negatively polarized adept. Are there any safeguards to create a situation where she cannot go into trance other than at a protected working such as this one?

Ra: I am Ra. There are three. Firstly, the instrument must needs improve the disciplined subconscious taboo against requesting Ra. This would involve daily conscious and serious thought. The second safeguard is the refraining from the opening of the instrument to questions and answers for the present. The third is quite gross in its appearance but suffices to keep the instrument in its physical complex. The hand may be held.

Questioner: Then you are saying just by holding the instrument’s hand during the channeling sessions that this would prevent trance?

Ra: I am Ra. This would prevent those levels of meditation which necessarily precede trance. Also in the event that, unlikely as it might seem, the entity grew able to leave the physical complex, the auric infringement and tactile pressure would cause the mind/body/spirit complex to refrain from leaving.”

It was during a Sunday night meditation that Carla almost inadvertently left her body, and now Don is asking Ra if there is some way that she could continue those channelings without risking the service of our negative friend to misplace her spirit into negative time/space. Firstly, Ra suggested that it was necessary for Carla to take some time each day to remind herself never to ask for Ra in any situation outside of the Ra contact. In 68.12, Ra made this request in a rather insistent way:

We may suggest with some asperity that the instrument never call upon Ra in any way while unprotected by the configuration which is at this time present.

The actual circumstance that brought on this possible type of psychic greeting was in the August 16, 1981, Sunday night meditation session when Carla was channeling Latwii for the purpose of answering questions from the folks in the meditation circle that night. She was asked a question concerning information from the Ra contact and had a fleeting thought run through her mind: “I don’t know anything about this. I wish I was channeling Ra.” Her ability to immediately clear her mind and exercise her will to ready herself for the contact with Ra was activated, and she began to slip out of her body. Ra mentioned this ability in 39.1:

This instrument is capable of almost instantaneously clearing the mental/emotional complex and the spiritual complex for the purity this working requires.

Ra also suggested that Carla not channel the question and answer portion of the Sunday night meditations as a second safeguard. It was from this point on that I began taking the question and answer portion of our public channeling mediations. That is still my specialty, shall we say, to this day. Ra’s third suggestion was that Carla’s hand should be held during all conscious channeling sessions as this would prohibit the deeper levels of meditation that necessarily precede trance. From this time and for the rest of her life I held her hand while she channeled. For those who did not know the story behind my holding her hand, we probably were just perceived as deeply in love with each other. And that was true too.

This morning I completed putting all of the stamps on the Christmas cards and then took the cards to the Post Office to mail them. Then I stopped by Pauls’ Fruit Market to pick up the fruit basket that I commissioned them to make as a gift for the folks who work at my veterinarian’s. As I delivered this gift I also picked up the meds for a couple of my cats.

This afternoon I went outside with my blower and blew the leaves in the front and side yard into a pile and got half the pile of leaves into my last garbage can. I put a tarp over the remaining leaves with stones at the corners to hold it down as there is heavy wind and rain forecast for tonight. My last job of the day was to vacuum the first floor of the house.

Like Minerals In Soft Rains

I am the spirit of the consciousness of the love of Christ, and I greet you in the love that is power and might and glory, creating without end all that there is and rejoicing in the creation.

I come in the vibration which comforts this child of God, and I come to each who calls me in each seeker’s own need, with each seeker’s vibrations and necessities of consciousness in mind. For we would not distress any by teachings which are confusing but would rather speak in the native tongue of each heart, our feet planted in the native soil of each seeker’s fertile ground.

For each seeker is a garden wherein is planted the Word: love. And love may create for each seeker a wonderful garden of fruit and harvest that blooms and yields forever. Yet without love, the ground wherein the seeds of love lie is barren and lifeless.

We who comfort are like minerals in soft rains, adding to the soil what is needed of the consciousness of love. Seek, then, in your own native tongue, to know the will of Christ in your life and we shall fall upon you like rain, and the seeds of love within you shall rejoice.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. The Ra quote today comes from 69.17:

“Questioner: Now, this is a point that I find quite confusing to me.

It is a function of the free will of the positively polarized entity to move into negatively polarized time/space. However, it is also a function of his lack of understanding of what he is doing. I am sure if the entity had full understanding of what he was doing that he would not do it. It is a function of his negatively polarized other-self creating a situation by which he is, shall I say, lured to that configuration.

What is the principle with respect to the First Distortion that allows this to occur since we have two portions of the Creator, each of equal value, or equal potential, shall I say, but oppositely polarized, and we have this situation resulting. Could you tell me the philosophical principle behind this particular act?

Ra: I am Ra. There are two important points in this regard. Firstly, we may note the situation wherein an entity gets a road map which is poorly marked and, in fact, is quite incorrect. The entity sets out to its destination. It wishes only to reach the point of destination but, becoming confused by the faulty authority and not knowing the territory through which it drives, it becomes hopelessly lost.

Free will does not mean that there will be no circumstances when calculations will be awry. This is so in all aspects of the life experience. Although there are no mistakes, there are surprises.

Secondly, that which we and you do in workings such as this carries a magical charge, if you would use this much misunderstood term. Perhaps we may say, a metaphysical power. Those who do work of power are available for communication to and from entities of roughly similar power.

It is fortunate that the Orion entity does not have the native power of this group. However, it is quite disciplined, whereas this group lacks the finesse equivalent to its power. Each is working in consciousness, but the group has not begun a work as a group. The individual work is helpful, for the group is mutually an aid, one to another.”

This question continued our investigation of the principles behind the possibility that a person serving as a channel which leaves is body, and is doing positively-oriented work, can be lured into negative time/space by one such as our negatively oriented friend—if there is an opening mistakenly made by any in a group such as our group. In the previous question Ra confirmed Don’s assumption that this process had to be based on the free will of the instrument, so now Don said it also seems like there is ignorance involved on the part of such an instrument because no one would willingly do this. And besides, the instrument would be tricked and lured into this negative location. Ra mentioned this in 72.8:

Thirdly, in the instance of this instrument’s being removed permanently from this space/time, it is necessary to allow the instrument to leave its yellow-ray physical complex of its free will. Thus trickery has been attempted.

The first part of Ra’s reply to Don’s question shows how this trickery can take the form of a very inaccurate road map which causes the instrument to get terribly lost. I assume that the instrument would be given this inaccurate road map by a negative entity posing as a positive helper of one sort or another. Then Ra made a little amendment to their most famous quote: “There are no ‘mistakes.” Their amendment is that “however, there are surprises.” Ra was the master of the understatement! In 69.9, Ra mentioned again how our negative friend would function in attempting to displace an instrument in negative time/space:

Questioner: I was just guessing that since the mind/body/spirit complex is willed from the third-density body for a particular duty of service to others, that this then would create a situation primarily with respect to the First Distortion where the opportunity for balancing this service by the negative service would be available and, therefore, shall I say, magically possible for the intrusion of the other polarization. Is this thinking at all correct?

Ra: I am Ra. No. The free will of the instrument is, indeed, a necessary part of the opportunity afforded the Orion group. However, this free will and the First Distortion applies only to the instrument. The entire hope of the Orion group is to infringe upon free will without losing polarity. Thus this group, if represented by a wise entity, attempts to be clever.

I think that the most salient and universally applicable comment that Ra made in this whole area of investigation is that: “those who do work of power are available for communication to and from entities of roughly similar power” as has Ra mentioned previously in 72.7:

Questioner: We have here, I believe, a very important principle with respect to the Law of One. You have stated that the attitude of the individual is of paramount importance for the Orion entity to be able to be effective. Would you please explain how this mechanism works with respect to the Law of One, and why the attitude of the entity is of paramount importance, and why this allows for action by the Orion entity?

Ra: I am Ra. The Law of Confusion, or Free Will, is utterly paramount in the workings of the infinite creation. That which is intended has as much intensity of attraction to the polar opposite as the intensity of the intention or desire.

Thus those whose desires are shallow or transitory experience only ephemeral configurations of what might be called the magical circumstance. There is a turning point, a fulcrum which swings as a mind/body/spirit complex tunes its will to service. If this will and desire is for service to others, the corresponding polarity will be activated.

In the circumstance of this group there are three such wills acting as one with the instrument in the, shall we say, central position of fidelity to service. This is as it must be for the balance of the working and the continuance of the contact. Our vibratory complex is one-pointed in these workings also, and our will to serve is also of some degree of purity. This has created the attraction of the polar opposite which you experience.

We may note that such a configuration of free will, one-pointed in service to others, also has the potential for the alerting of a great mass of light strength. This positive light strength, however, operates also under free will, and must be invoked.

We could not speak to this and shall not guide you, for the nature of this contact is such that the purity of your free will must, above all things, be preserved. Thus you wend your way through experiences discovering those biases which may be helpful.

So if you are doing work of power which has the potential to aid many in their spiritual growth you must realize that negatively-oriented entities will seek to either tempt you away from purity and render you ineffective, or they will attempt to put out your light by whatever means is available. Luring a purely positive instrument into negative time/space would be the ultimate victory for the negative entity because it would put out your light and put you under its domination. In 67.7, Ra described how our group was tempted by fourth-density minions of our negative fifth density friend:

Questioner: I undoubtedly will ask several very uninformed and poor questions. However, I was trying to understand certain concepts having to do with the illusion, I shall say, of the polarization that seems to exist at certain density levels in the creation and how can the mechanism of interaction of consciousness— It is a very difficult subject for me and therefore I ask your forgiveness for my poor questions, but it seems to me that the fifth-density entity is attracted in some way to our group by the polarization of this group which acts, somehow, as a beacon to the entity. Am I correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is, in substance, correct, but the efforts of this entity are put forward only reluctantly. The usual attempts upon positively oriented entities, or groups of entities, are made, as we have said, by minions of the fifth-density Orion leaders; these are fourth-density. The normal gambit of such fourth-density attack is the tempting of the entity or group of entities away from total polarization towards service to others and toward the aggrandizement of self, or of social organizations with which the self identifies.

In the case of this particular group, each was given a full range of temptations to cease being of service to each other and to the One Infinite Creator. Each entity declined these choices and, instead, continued with no significant deviations from the desire for a purely other-self service orientation.

At this point one of the fifth-density entities over-seeing such detuning processes determined that it would be necessary to terminate the group by what you might call magical means, as you understand ritual magic. We have previously discussed the potential for the removal of one of this group by such attack and have noted that, by far, the most vulnerable is the instrument due to its pre-incarnative physical-complex distortions.

In 80.7, Ra suggested that if our negative friend had been successful in luring Carla to negative time/space it would have gained control of her power as well as putting out her light:

Questioner: I understand this up to a point—that point is if the entity were successful in either of these attempts, of what value would this be to him? Would it increase his ability? Would it increase his polarity? By what mechanism would it do whatever it does?

Ra: I am Ra. Having attempted for some of your space/time with no long-lasting result to do these things, the entity may be asking this question of itself.

The gain for triumph is an increase in negative polarity to the entity in that it has removed a source of radiance and, thereby, offered to this space/time the opportunity of darkness where there once was light. In the event that it succeeded in enslaving the mind/body/spirit complex of the instrument it would have enslaved a fairly powerful entity, thus adding to its power.

Ra ended their answer by saying that it was fortunate that our negative friend didn’t have the power of our group, but its power was quite skillfully used. However, our magical skills were on the level of the neophyte, and we hadn’t gotten any further in developing them systematically than practicing the Banishing ritual of the Lesser Pentagram. We had planned to begin such group workings, but as time went on more and more of our time and energy was spent trying to keep both Don and Carla in good enough shape to just have sessions with those of Ra. In 69.22, Don did make some progress in this area, and Ra was impressed with Don’s thoughts on how our group might progress best in its magical training:

Questioner: There are many techniques and ways of practicing so-called white magical arts. Are rituals designed by a particular group for their own particular use just as good, or possibly better, than those that have been practiced by groups such as the Order of the Golden Dawn and other magical groups?

Ra: I am Ra. Although we are unable to speak with precision on this query, we may note some gratification that the questioner has penetrated some of the gist of a formidable system of service and discipline.

This morning I put the special Christmas stamps on the 43 Christmas cards going to foreign countries, and then I made a trip to Cavalier’s Alterations shop to have the zipper repaired and both sleeves on one of my jackets. Then I stopped by Walgreen’s to buy some AA batteries.

 After getting home I filled a couple of garbage cans with some of the Gingko leaves that I had attempted to crunch into leaf dust with my big mower. However, Gingko leaves retain much more moisture that any other leaf that I know of and, as a result, don’t produce any real dust. They are heavy and I could only fill each garbage can half way full and stay within the 35 lb. limit for yard waste containers.

In the afternoon I went back out and filled another two garbage cans half full of the Gingko leaves. That leaves about that many Gingkos to complete the job next week when yard waste hauls away all five garbage cans that I filled yesterday and today.

The Rags And Bones Of The Mind

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

The deep recesses of your conscious mind contain the rags and bones, the scraps and oddities, that have become useless to you and garbage within the heart. The spirit of the living God urges you to clean house. For that which flows through you is blocked and weakened by these old rags of sadness, jealously, anger, desires for revenge, and, most of all, the dividing of self against self.

Self-criticism is an enormous stumbling block to one who wishes to experience and live a life upheld by love and bounded about by eternity.

Clean house, my children. Release all that has been considered waste. You do not need these sorrows as knives turned against the self. You merely wish them so that you do not blow away as the weight of past experience is lifted.

My children, you shall not blow away but, rather, shall be hollowed out at last, sorrow having done its work. A deeper, gentler, braver heart lies ready for the wind which whispers the spirit and the message of love.

“Questioner: Do I understand, then, that death, whether it is by natural means, or accidental death, or suicide—all deaths of this type would create the same after-death condition which would avail an entity to its protection from friends? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. We presume you mean to inquire whether in the death experience, no matter what the cause, the negative friends are not able to remove an entity. This is correct largely because the entity without the attachment to the space/time physical complex is far more aware and without the gullibility which is somewhat the hallmark of those who love wholeheartedly.

However, the death, if natural, would undoubtedly be the more harmonious; the death by murder being confused and the entity needing some time/space in which to get its bearings, so to speak; the death by suicide causing the necessity for much healing work and, shall we say, the making of a dedication to the third density for the renewed opportunity of learning the lessons set by the higher self.”

In this question Don is attempting to discover if the experience that we call death would offer any opportunity for our negative friend to remove any of us into the negative realms of time/space. Ra said that the death transition results in the one going through it to release all attachment to the space/time experience of its previous life. This means that they entity is beyond the veil and is not so gullible and can see who its friends are and thereby travel the appropriate path. In 68.17, Ra gave the synopsis of why a positive entity might follow a negative entity into negative time/space:

Questioner: I am interested in how the First Distortion applies to the negatively polarized entity misplacing the mind/body/spirit complex. Why is the negatively polarized entity followed to the place of negative time/space? Why would one of us freely follow the entity?

Ra: I am Ra. The positive polarity sees love in all things. The negative polarity is clever.

Ra said that the natural death would be the easiest to assimilate. The death by suicide would require much healing and then an immediate recommitment to the third density to complete the life pattern that was cut short by the suicide. And the death by murder would be confused until the entity was able to “get its bearings as Ra alluded to in 47.13:

 Questioner: What stimulus would create what we call an earth-bound spirit or a lingering ghost?

Ra: I am Ra. The stimulus for this is the faculty of the will. If the will of yellow-ray mind/body/spirit [complex] is that which is stronger than the progressive impetus of the physical death towards realization of that which comes—that is, if the will is concentrated enough upon the previous experience—the entity’s shell of yellow ray, though no longer activated, cannot either be completely deactivated and, until the will is released, the mind/body/spirit complex is caught. This often occurs, as we see you are aware, in the case of sudden death as well as in the case of extreme concern for a thing or an other-self.

Over the years we have had a number of young men write us to tell us that they felt that they might be the reincarnation of Don Elkins. However, Carla and I always believed that two of our closest friends, a married couple who were our best man and matron of honor at our wedding, gave birth to Don’s reincarnation about fourteen months after Don’s suicide. They felt Don’s presence immediately after conception, and from his pre-school years their son seemed to have had a solid grasp of basic physics, as was Don’s profession as a physics teacher in college before he became an airline pilot.

This morning I stuffed about 225 Christmas cards into their envelopes and sealed them. Then I went over to our local Post Office to get the special stamps that are used on Christmas cards going to foreign countries and purchased 43 of those. This afternoon I used my backpack blower to blow the leaves in the south side of the back yard into a pile and then stuffed them into three garbage cans. I am finally done crunching leaves with my mower. My last little job of the afternoon was to take another load of firewood to my neighbors across the street as they enjoy a nightly fire in their fireplace during the cold winter months.

Thy Will Be Done

I am of the principle of the consciousness of Jesus the Christ. I greet you in the beauty of complete and divine love which is the nature of that consciousness.

Many of you seek to become more and more as you may understand the mind of Jesus the Christ to be. To be pondered in this regard is the helplessness of Jesus nailed to His tree of death and resurrection.

Sometimes the soul who serves the positive and the good finds oneself incapable of producing any fruit to the spirit or any aid to consciousness except the affirmation, “Thy will be done—and that cheerfully.”

In those times when you feel helpless, release that helpless feeling, for your help is near. Sometimes to be helpless is to be of great service. And it is then time, always, to ask for the company and the comfort of the consciousness of the love of Jesus the Christ.

“Questioner: Why is this trance state, as we call it, different? Why are there not protective entities available in this particular state?

Ra: I am Ra. The uniqueness of this situation is not the lack of friends, for this, as all entities, has its guides or angelic presences and, due to polarization, teachers and friends also. The unique characteristic of the workings, which the social memory complex Ra and your group have begun, is the intent to serve others with the highest attempt at near purity which we as comrades may achieve.

This has alerted a much more determined friend of negative polarity which is interested in removing this particular opportunity.

We may say once again two notes: Firstly, we searched long to find an appropriate channel or instrument and an appropriate support group. If this opportunity is ended we shall be grateful for that which has been done, but the possibility/probability vortices indicating the location of this configuration again are slight. Secondly, we thank you, for we know what you sacrifice in order to do that which you, as a group, wish to do.

We will not deplete this instrument insofar as we are able. We have attempted to speak of how the instrument may deplete itself through too great a dedication to the working. All these things and all else we have said has been heard. We are thankful. In the present situation we express thanks to the entities who call themselves Latwii.”

In this question Don asked Ra why the trance state is different and why Carla would not have protective entities available to protect her from being lured into negative time/space by our fifth-density friend. Ra responded that since they and we wished to serve others with as much purity as possible in gaining information concerning spiritual principles to aid the evolutionary process, a much more powerful negative friend had been alerted as to our work. In 67.20, Ra stated the principle which was in play as we had sessions with Ra and, therefore, attracted our friend of negative fifth density:

Questioner: Now, the main point of this line of questioning has to do with the First Distortion and the fact that this window existed. Was this, shall I say, a portion of the random window effect? And are we experiencing the same type of balancing in receiving the offerings of this entity as the planet in general receives because of the window effect?

Ra: I am Ra. This is precisely correct. As the planetary sphere accepts more highly evolved positive entities or groups with information to offer, the same opportunity must be offered to similarly wise negatively oriented entities or groups.

I am assuming that Carla’s entering into the kind of trance in which the body is left in order to be of service to others in such a purely intended work causes her discarnate friends and guides to respect her free will choice to do so. This apparently makes them unavailable for protection of Carla when in the trance state. Our light was a power that our negative friend wished to control. If it could not control it by detuning our group, the it sought to put it out in order to gain Carla’s power of polarity. In 68.16, Ra gave a lengthy synopsis of this entire process of our attracting the attention of our fifth-density friend:

Questioner: Well how does the fifth-density entity go about this working from the very start of his being alerted to the fact that we exist. How does that occur? Can you please trace the steps that he involves himself in? Please.

Ra: I am Ra. The entity becomes aware of power. This power has the capacity of energizing those which may be available for harvest. This entity is desirous of disabling this power source. It sends its legions. Temptations are offered. They are ignored or rejected. The power source persists and, indeed, improves its inner connections of harmony and love of service.

The entity determines that it must needs attempt the disabling itself. By means of projection it enters the vicinity of this power source. It assesses the situation. It is bound by the First Distortion but may take advantage of any free-will distortion. The free-will, pre-incarnative distortions of the instrument with regards to the physical vehicle seem the most promising target. Any distortion away from service to others is also appropriate.

When the instrument leaves its physical vehicle it does so freely. Thus the misplacement of the mind/body/spirit complex of the instrument would not be a violation of its free will if it followed the entity freely. This is the process.

We are aware of your pressing desire to know how to become impervious, as a group, to any influences such as this. The processes which you seek are a matter of your free choice. You are aware of the principles of magical work. We cannot speak to advise, but can only suggest, as we have before, that it would be appropriate for this group to embark upon such a path as a group, but not individually, for obvious reasons.

Ra then expressed their gratitude for the work that we were able to do together as they had searched for a great deal of time to find a group such as ours. In 71.21, Ra described how they went about searching for a group that could help them share the Law of One and to make reparations for distortions in the Law of One they felt responsible for with the Egyptians:

Questioner: When you say you searched for this group, what do you mean? What was your process of search? I ask this question to understand more the illusion of time and space.

Ra: I am Ra. Consider the process of one who sees the spectrograph of some complex of elements. It is a complex paint sample, let us say for ease of description. We of Ra knew the needed elements for communication which had any chance of enduring. We compared our color chip to many individuals and groups over a long span of your time. Your spectrograph matches our sample.

In response to your desire to see the relationship betwixt space/time and time/space, may we say that we conducted this search in time/space, for in this illusion one may quite readily see entities as vibratory complexes and groups as harmonics within vibratory complexes.

Ra then expressed gratitude that we understood how to nurture Carla to continue to do the work together. And of course they were most grateful that Latwii, whom Carla was channeling when she almost left her body, had been able to maintain contact with Carla through continued channeling during the crisis. In 44.13, Ra gave us the basic ways that we could insure Carla’s well being in her serving as the instrument for the Ra contact:

Questioner: What I am trying to get at in this session is any practices that we might be able to do to best revitalize the instrument, for it is going to be necessary to do all we can, to do this, in order to maintain our contacts. Can you tell us what we could best do to increase the instrument’s vitality for these contacts?

Ra: I am Ra. Your experience was a function of your ability to contact intelligent infinity. Therefore, it does not have a direct bearing upon this instrument’s vital energy.

We have spoken before of those things which aid this instrument in the vital energy: the sensitivity to beauty, to the singing of sacred music, to the meditation and worship, to the sharing of self with self in freely given love either in social or sexual intercourse. These things work quite directly upon the vitality. This instrument has a distortion towards appreciation of variety of experiences. This, in a less direct way, aids vitality.

This morning I made an errand run to look for appropriate gifts for my veterinarians and their staff. I ordered a fruit basket from Paul’s Fruit Market and picked up some gift cards at Kroger’s. This morning and this afternoon I also began putting the address labels on the Christmas cards that I will send out to personal friends and to some friends of L/L Research.

You Are The Rainfall

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

The sun awakes and peeps over the horizon. Does the sun have eyes that gaze upon the earth? We think not, for were it to gaze and judge, the sun would shine on one but not upon another.

The rain moves over the land and feeds alike the stinking sewer and the fertile farmland. There is no judgment within the creation of the Father but only the balancing of harmonies.

You, too, are the sun. You, too, may shine upon all or you may choose to save your light for some and not for others.

You, too, are the generous, gentle rainfall that makes all things new. Yet you, too, may choose through judgment to restrict that blessed plenty of water, that precious food of life.

This day we ask one thing of each. Know that you shine, that you can be most fertile in fruit as a child of the Father.

But know also that judgment removes you from the Father’s side so that you are the prodigal son or daughter. Then the sun does not shine nor the rain fall in your own private world. For as you judge others, so shall your experience be.

Refrain this day from judgment. Ask only for the opportunity to love, to shine, and to bless with your plenty.

In peace, in love, and in joy we leave you, now and forever. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 68.12:

“Questioner: It would seem to me that since I can’t imagine anything . . . anything worse, shall I say, than this particular result, other than possibly the total disintegration of the mind/body/spirit complex due to nuclear bomb, that it would be very advisable to seek out the magical training and defense for this situation. Could Ra, and would Ra, instruct in this type of magical defense?

Ra: I am Ra. This request lies beyond the First Distortion. The entity seeking magical ability must do so in a certain manner. We may give instructions of a general nature. This we have already done. The instrument has begun the process of balancing the self. This is a lengthy process.

To take an entity before it is ready and offer it the scepter of magical power is to infringe in an unbalanced manner. We may suggest with some asperity that the instrument never call upon Ra in any way while unprotected by the configuration which is at this time present.”

Realizing the profound danger of having Carla’s mind/body/spirit complex displaced into negative time/space by our negative discarnate friend, Don asked Ra if they would train us in magical defense. Ra replied that granting this request would infringe upon our free will. We would need to pursue the study of such magical ritual on our own. Ra suggested that the balancing exercises that they had given us were a beginning of this long journey. In the next session we began questioning Ra about how we might proceed in pursuing our study of white magic, and in 69.22, we uncovered a basic principle that might have been helpful for us:

Questioner: There are many techniques and ways of practicing so-called white magical arts. Are rituals designed by a particular group for their own particular use just as good, or possibly better, than those that have been practiced by groups such as the Order of the Golden Dawn and other magical groups?

Ra: I am Ra. Although we are unable to speak with precision on this query, we may note some gratification that the questioner has penetrated some of the gist of a formidable system of service and discipline.

So it was also helpful to continue in using Ra’s balancing exercises to attempt to become more balanced as seekers, which is another way of saying to increase one’s magical abilities. The basic definition of white ceremonial magic is the ability to create changes in consciousness at will. The basic purpose of such ceremonial magic is union with the One Infinite Creator in order to be of greater service to all. “I seek to know in order to serve” is the most effective mindset. In 74.11, Ra gave the basic outline that any white magician would use to be able to create changes in consciousness at will, and they gave the ultimate change that we would be seeking:

Questioner: Now, what I am trying to get at is how these disciplines affect the energy centers and the power, shall I say, of the white magician. Could you . . . will you tell me how that works?

Ra: I am Ra. The heart of the discipline of the personality is threefold:

One, know yourself.

Two, accept yourself.

Three, become the Creator.

The third step is that step which, when accomplished, renders one the most humble servant of all, transparent in personality and completely able to know and accept other-selves.

In relation to the pursuit of the magical working, the continuing discipline of the personality involves the adept in knowing itself, accepting itself, and thus clearing the path towards the great indigo gateway to the Creator. To become the Creator is to become all that there is. There is, then, no personality in the sense with which the adept begins its learn/teaching. As the consciousness of the indigo ray becomes more crystalline, more work may be done; more may be expressed from intelligent infinity.

This morning I used my backpack blower to blow the leaves in the front and side yards into position to crunch them into leaf dust with my big mower. However, since we got an inch and a half of rain last night the leaf dust was a bit moist. Then I went inside and did my modest weight-lifting before having lunch. After lunch I went back outside and used the blower to blow the leaves in two-thirds of the back yard into position behind the garage so that I could also crunch them into moist leaf dust. Tomorrow I plan to blow the honeysuckle leaves in the other third of the back yard into a pile and stuff them into a garbage can. With the rain and wind last night and early this morning it looks like almost all of the leaves on trees in and around my yard are now down. I will probably wait until the end of the week to do a final cleanup of leaves for the year.

You Must Wait In Faith

I come in the name of Jesus Christ, the consciousness of love in that vibration peculiarly apt for this instrument. I greet you in Jesus’ name.

We perceive that there are many doubts as to the efficiency of prayer even among those who believe most fervently in prayer and follow its ways, for you do not feel that your prayers are always heard. Yet you ascribe to us the deafness of your own ears.

It is said that in everything there are seasons, and, indeed, you who dwell in the desert of Earth will experience many, many seasons of loneliness and desolation. For your ears are stopped against the words offered, which are always there. The hand of Jesus touching yours cannot be felt by your numb fingers. And the truth that is offered is not seen because you are blind.

Then it is that you must wait in faith, in the blankness of the desert sun, for the oasis of grace that will unstop your ears and enliven your fingers, open your mouth to praise and free the eyes of the scales of doubt.

It is truly said that you do not know the day or moment wherein the Son of Man cometh. Jesus stands, awaiting the season of your open heart. You cannot force it but must await it. When it comes, will you be ready to acknowledge, accept and be transformed by it?

We commend you to watch and wait in patience and faith, offering your agony to Christ with the same praise that you offer your joy. Thusly you shall find peace, now and always. Amen.

“Questioner: Could you tell me what the plan of the fifth-density negatively oriented entity was, and how it would have accomplished it, and what the results would have been if it had worked?

Ra: I am Ra. The plan, which is ongoing, was to take the mind/body/spirit complex while it was separated from its yellow-body physical-complex shell, to then place this mind/body/spirit complex within the negative portions of your time/space. The shell would then become that of the unknowing, unconscious entity and could be, shall we say, worked upon to cause malfunction which would end in coma and then in what you call the death of the body.

At this point the higher self of the instrument would have the choice of leaving the mind/body/spirit complex in negative sp— we correct— time/space, or of allowing incarnation in space/time of equivalent vibration and polarity distortions. Thus this entity would become a negatively polarized entity without the advantage of native negative polarization. It would find a long path to the Creator under these circumstances although the path would inevitably end well.”

The questions in this session were prompted by Carla’s nearly going into trance during a Sunday night meditation when she was channeling those of Latwii and was asked a question pertaining to the Ra contact. She thought to herself, “I don’t know anything about this question. I wish I were channeling Ra.” This was enough impetus for her to begin leaving her body. Latwii was also of fifth density and was able to deal with our negative friend by continuing to generate words through Carla to maintain a hold on her mind/body/spirit complex. Support from those in the meditation group also helped Carla to return to her body and continue with the meditation. In 68.5, Ra mentioned how those of Latwii came very close to breaking the Law of Confusion in this situation:

Questioner: Would you tell me what happened in that case?

Ra: I am Ra. We have instructed this instrument to refrain from calling us unless it is within this set of circumscribed circumstances. In the event of which you speak this instrument was asked a question which pertained to what you have been calling The Ra Material. This instrument was providing the voice for our brothers and sisters of the wisdom density known to you as Latwii.

This instrument thought to itself, “I do not know this answer. I wish I were channeling Ra.” The ones of Latwii found themselves in the position of being approached by the Orion entity, which seeks to be of service in its own way. The instrument began to prepare for Ra contact. Latwii knew that if this was completed the Orion entity would have an opportunity which Latwii wished to avoid.

It is fortunate for this instrument, firstly, that Latwii is of fifth density and able to deal with that particular vibratory complex which the Orion entity was manifesting; and, secondly, that there were those in the support group at that time which sent great amounts of support to the instrument in this crux.

Thus what occurred was the ones of Latwii never let go of this instrument, although this came perilously close to breaking the Way of Confusion. It continued to hold its connection with the mind/body/spirit complex of the instrument and to generate information through it even as the instrument began to slip out of its physical vehicle.

The act of continued communication caused the entity to be unable to grasp the instrument’s mind/body/spirit complex, and after but a small measure of your space/time, Latwii recovered the now completely amalgamated instrument and gave it continued communication to steady it during the transition back into integration.

Since the fourth-density minions of our discarnate, negative, fifth-density friend had been unable to tempt our group away from service to others, our friend decided that it would seek to stop the Ra contact itself. It would do so by misplacing Carla’s mind/body/spirit complex in negative time/space. While it was there, our friend would work on Carla’s body to bring about its death. Then Carla’s higher self would, at some point, have to allow Carla’s mind/body/spirit to incarnate into negative space/time and become a negatively oriented entity without any experience of being such. The higher self could not leave her in negative time/space because there would be no possibility for growth there as all Carla would be able to perceive would be darkness. In 67.7, Ra summarized the process whereby the fourth-density temptations did not affect our group which then caused our fifth-density friend to attempt to terminate our group:

Questioner: I undoubtedly will ask several very uninformed and poor questions. However, I was trying to understand certain concepts having to do with the illusion, I shall say, of the polarization that seems to exist at certain density levels in the creation and how can the mechanism of interaction of consciousness— It is a very difficult subject for me and therefore I ask your forgiveness for my poor questions, but it seems to me that the fifth-density entity is attracted in some way to our group by the polarization of this group which acts, somehow, as a beacon to the entity. Am I correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is, in substance, correct, but the efforts of this entity are put forward only reluctantly. The usual attempts upon positively oriented entities, or groups of entities, are made, as we have said, by minions of the fifth-density Orion leaders; these are fourth-density. The normal gambit of such fourth-density attack is the tempting of the entity or group of entities away from total polarization towards service to others and toward the aggrandizement of self, or of social organizations with which the self identifies.

In the case of this particular group, each was given a full range of temptations to cease being of service to each other and to the One Infinite Creator. Each entity declined these choices and, instead, continued with no significant deviations from the desire for a purely other-self service orientation.

At this point one of the fifth-density entities over-seeing such detuning processes determined that it would be necessary to terminate the group by what you might call magical means, as you understand ritual magic. We have previously discussed the potential for the removal of one of this group by such attack and have noted that, by far, the most vulnerable is the instrument due to its pre-incarnative physical-complex distortions.

The reason that Carla’s path back to the Creator would be long is that she would have to continue her journey as a negative entity until she was able to gather enough negative polarization to reverse her polarity and move back into positivity. Ra said that service-to-others entities make poor students of the negative path. On the hopeful side Ra said that this process would inevitably end well, and Carla would once again seek the Creator on the service-to-others path. This is the possibility that Carla faced each time that she went into a Ra session. And she did so gladly as she wished with all of her being to be of service to others. In 60.3, Ra described the purity of intention that Carla felt toward being the instrument for the Ra contact:

Questioner: Can you tell me the best approach for altering, to a more acceptable condition, the distortions that the instrument is experiencing?

Ra: I am Ra. There is some small amount of work which the instrument may do concerning its pre-incarnative decisions regarding service to the Infinite Creator in this experience. However, the decision to open, without reservation, to the offering of self when service is perceived is such a fundamental choice that it is not open to significant alteration, nor would we wish to interfere with the balancing process which is taking place with this particular entity.

The wisdom and compassion being so balanced by this recapitulation of fourth density is helpful to this particular mind/body/spirit complex. It is not an entity much given to quibbling with the purity with which it carries out that which it feels it is best to do. We may say this due to the instrument’s knowledge of itself, which is clear upon this point. However, this very discussion may give rise to a slightly less fully unstopped dedication to service in any one working so that the service may be continued over a greater period of your space/time.

Today was a Sabbath Day of Rest, and I began to unpack the box of Christmas cards that I will send out to friends of L/L Research and friends from years ago as well. I picked a card that deals specifically with the birth of Jesus and does not partake in Santa Claus and commercial Christmas. Gary has printed out our mailing list and mailed it to me, so I will begin addressing, folding, and stuffing envelopes after the mailing list gets here. I took my usual errand run at lunch and my first stop was at Feeder’s Supply where I bought food for the kitties, and then I stopped at Paul’s Fruit Market to buy some food for myself. I also enjoyed extra time in meditation and in reading the Law of One.

The Realization Of Right Action

I am of the spirit of the one God in the consciousness of love which is Christhood. I come in the name of Jesus Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of Christ’s love.

Just as it is not known to this instrument what I shall say, so it is not known to us, ourselves, what the consciousness of love in a particular application may be until that moment comes. Though you desire to apprehend aforetimes those things which you seek to know about a coming situation, they are impossible to know well, and the guessing and supposing thereof will only confuse and muddle your prayers.

Await the moment in which discrimination and action are necessary and pray heartily for the spontaneous realization of right action. If you wish to pray beforehand for right action, pray that right action may come to you at the proper moment. For did not Jesus teach you that you did not need changes of clothing or food for your journey but, instead, could rely on the good graces of the Father to give you all that was needed?

Trust, then, that the wind of the spirit shall blow at your back and within your heart at the precise moment at which you need wisdom and thus allow the full and spontaneous power of Christ’s love to enliven and transform your experience.

We leave you in the peace of the love of Christ, now and ever. Amen.

“Questioner: Would you recommend a greater rest period between the end of this session and the next session? Would that help the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. We might suggest, as always, that the support group watch the instrument with care and make the decision based upon observation. It is not within our capacity to specifically recommend a future decision. We would note that our previous recommendation of one working on alternate diurnal periods did not take into account the fragility of the instrument, and thus we would ask your forgiveness for this suggestion.

At this nexus our distortion is towards a flexible scheduling of workings based upon, as we said, the support group’s decisions concerning the instrument. We would again note that there is a fine line between the care of the instrument for continued use, which we find acceptable, and the proper understanding, if you will excuse this misnomer, of the entire group’s need to work in service.

Thus, if the instrument’s condition is truly marginal, by all means let more rest occur between workings. However, if there is desire for the working, and the instrument is at all able, in your careful opinion, it is, shall we say, a well done action for this group to work. We cannot be more precise, for this contact is a function of your free will.”

When we first began the Ra contact we had sessions every day and sometimes two sessions per day during the first few weeks. Don asked Ra if two sessions per day was possible, and Ra was careful to respond that it was possible. In retrospect I think that two sessions being “possible” did not necessarily mean that it was advisable. Over time we discovered that two sessions per day were very wearing on Carla as each session was described by Ra as equivalent to a full day’s work for her as they suggested in 60.4:

Questioner: You are saying then that the physical distortions that the instrument experienced are part of a balancing process? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is incorrect. The physical distortions are a result of the instrument’s not accepting fully the limitations, placed prior to incarnation, upon the activities of the entity once it had begun the working. The distortions caused by this working, which are inevitable given the plan chosen by this entity, are limitation and—to a degree consonant with the amount of vital and physical energy expended—weariness due to that which is the equivalent in this instrument of many, many hours of harsh physical labor.

This is why we suggested the instrument’s thoughts dwelling upon the possibility of its suggesting to its higher self the possibility of some slight reservation of energy at a working. This instrument, at this time, is quite open until all resources are quite exhausted. This is well, if desired. However, it will, shall we say, shorten the number of workings in what you may call the long run.

But our contact with Ra was based on our free will, and Ra was trying to help us determine our session periodicity without infringing on our free will. At one point they recommended that we have sessions every other day, but even this timing was too hard on Carla’s fragile body. Her pre-incarnative choices had provided her with a fragile body in order that she not dissipate her energy in worldly activities and keep her focus instead on the inner world of prayer, meditation, contemplation, and channeling. So there was a delicate balance that we were trying to maintain. In 22.2, Ra referred to Carla’s physical limitations being a product of her pre-incarnative planning:

Also, this entity has begun, due to this working, to accept certain limitations which it placed upon itself in order to set the stage for services such as it now performs. This also is an aid to re-aligning the distortions of the physical complex with regard to pain.

Ra mentioned that it was our group’s “need to work in service” that should be balanced with Carla’s overall condition, with especial notation of her physical body which had very little natural energy. I think that our “need to work in service” was based on fulfilling our group’s pre-incarnative choice to serve in this manner. So Don and I did our best to evaluate Carla’s condition the night before a session was contemplated. For her part, Carla was always ready to have a session because she wanted so much to be of service. But she was also willing to give over the final determination of whether to have a session to Don and to me, as our viewpoint was more objective than was hers. We decided not to have sessions on just a handful of occasions. We each knew what an honor it was to be able to have sessions with those of Ra, and we wanted each session to be as well accomplished as was possible for us. Ra first suggested that Carla give over the decision-making regarding having Ra sessions to Don and to me in 44.1:

Questioner: The instrument had some question as to her vitality. We were having a hard time appraising it. Is it possible for you to comment on this?

Ra: I am Ra. We scan this instrument and find that we may be of service without infringement due to this instrument’s decision to abide by the most careful appraisal possible rather than the most desired.

We have been surprised that we have been able to maintain contact on a regular basis during this most intense period of negatively influenced interference. Sexual energy transfers have at some workings given this instrument additional vital resources upon which to draw. However, this is not so at this working and, therefore, the will of the instrument drives its bodily complex. This instrument has no judgment about this service. The faculty of will, while recognized as most central and valuable, could in this application cause serious distortion in bodily complex of the instrument.

May we note that martyrdom is not necessarily helpful. We ask this instrument to examine these thoughts, judge, and discriminate the possible truth of them; and if they be deemed true, we suggest this instrument release the power of judgment to the support group whose interests are balanced far more than this instrument’s. Allow decisions to be made without expectation or attachment to the outcome. Our hopes, may we say, for long-term contact through this instrument depend upon its maturing ability to be of service to other-selves by accepting their help and thus remaining a viable instrument.

May we thank the questioner for allowing us to speak to this point, for we were aware of the distortions incumbent upon one whose will to serve is not regulated by knowledge of limitations of bodily-complex distortion.

This morning I used my backpack blower and blew the leaves in the back yard into a pile and filled three garbage cans with them. I went back outside in the afternoon and decided it was time to get the last of the Sycamore leaves out of the gutters that I had cleaned last Monday by local lawn service guys. However, the Sycamore made a rain of leaves until yesterday that filled the gutters again. So I used my extension ladder and backpack blower to blow those leaves out of the gutters and into the side yard between the fish pond and pet cemetery. There were also a lot of leaves from my neighbor’s oak tree in that area, so I blew all of the leaves into position and crunched them into leaf dust with my big mower.

The Instinct Of Creation To Praise

I am of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ who comes in the name of the one infinite God. I greet you in the full consciousness of Christ, which is love.

Every creature which is perfect of its kind is a true picture of the face of God. Each flower that blooms shouts with its colors in praise and blessing of the One who made it. All that is, is full of the instinctive love of its Creator.

Humankind alone removes itself again and again from the Creator’s praise, interpreting the signs and events of experience in ways that do not honor the love that created all. Do you think that you bloom with truer colors than the flower, you who doubt that each experience is full of love? Again you betray the love and honor which would be yours to offer if those who were self-conscious were also fully conscious.

It is the faith which we who are of the principle of Christ seek again and again to strengthen in you which alone can inform human consciousness of the divinity of all things and of their true color. Praise is not possible for most who are self-conscious without such aid. And yet the instinct to praise and bless one’s Creator is a true part of your makeup.

Seek, then, the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you may become a blooming flower, rejoicing in the light of a sun that always shines regardless of the appearance of evanescent clouds. Amen.
