All uses of catalyst... are those consciously applied
Posted by: Steppingfeet - 06-12-2014, 06:24 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (12)

Read an article that offers an incredible metaphor for Ra's description of the processing of catalyst: “The Cosmic Metabolism of Form”

    Here are a few excerpts:

    Quote:
    “The Cosmic Metabolism of Form”
"Just as our bodies transform substances in metabolic cycles of varying complexity, and take part in the larger ecological metabolic cycles of organic life on earth, our minds take in and manipulate, transform, break down and build up, in short metabolize, forms—as impressions, perceptions, concepts, memories, and plans. And we take part in a larger ecology of form: culture, literature, art, science.”

    * * * * * * * * * * *

“According to Gurdjieff, our impressions are not fully metabolized in our ordinary state of relative unawareness. For metabolism to proceed further, we must be conscious of ourselves in the act of receiving impressions, just as oxygen is necessary for the full metabolism of food.

The full metabolism of food releases much more energy than that released in the absence of oxygen (anaerobic metabolism).

What kind of energy is released by the full metabolism of impressions? Perhaps the energy of consciousness. Although consciousness is required for this process to take place, acting like a catalyst, the result is the production of even more consciousness. Or more precisely, it is the addition of consciousness to the impressions, just as the energy of life is added to the macromolecules of our bodies.”

    * * * * * * * * * * *

“This vivification of impressions feeds our inner life, which needs conscious impressions to grow, and may also serve a larger purpose, enabling God to “see” his own creation through us and other conscious observers throughout the universe.”

    And the Ra correlations:

    93.10
Ra: All uses of catalyst by the mind are those consciously applied to catalyst. Without conscious intent the use of catalyst is never processed through mentation, ideation, and imagination.

So just as oxygen is required for the full metabolism of food into energy, conscious intent/conscious awareness is necessary for the full processing of catalyst into experience.

Such an amazing metaphor! As we intend to use our catalyst, to learn from our catalyst, to use our catalyst, we do. The conscious intent and awareness we bring to the catalyst engages the gears and processes of the metabolic system and converts that catalyst into conscious experience.

    78.36
Ra: …it is certainly through this faculty [of disciplined meditation] that catalyst is most efficiently used.

What is meditation but "being with" the moment and your experience? Being conscious of the moment, being aware of the moment.

Extending this metaphor, meditation is the ultimate "oxygen" for the metabolizing of food.

Example of service to self satisfying in the shadows.
Posted by: Nowheretoday - 06-09-2014, 12:58 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (12)

I was going through the tarot card number 17 faith and I read Ra's paragraph talking about how the most unhappy experience can be worked with the light.
Watch this video of Elliot Rodgers who killed six people.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/vi...ution.html

Quote:The service-to-self adept will satisfy itself with the shadows and, grasping the light of day, will toss back the head in grim laughter, preferring the darkness.
Couldn't help to relate Ra's line to this guy laughing with the sunlight on his face.

      Redefining Destruction
Posted by: Plenum - 06-08-2014, 12:29 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (1)

when I was growing up (in that mythical era of the 80's), there was something called the 'Cold War' still in effect. This was a standoff between the USA and the USSR, where a vast nuclear arsenal was pointed at each other. The world seemed to be on the edge of destruction, with fear and uncertainty being the modus operandi. I grew up in that period, and was shaped by it.

Things could have gone very bad, and bits of Ra confirm the reality of that nuclear potential.

But one civilisation did go down that route of wholesale destruction. And that was Atlantis. And it wasn't too long ago in terms of history:

Ra Wrote:10.15 Approximately eleven thousand [11,000] of your years ago, the first of the, what you call, wars, caused approximately forty percent of this population to leave the density by means of disintegration of the body.

40% of the population died in that conflict.

    - -

    how does that compare?

WW2: Over 60 million people were killed, which was over 2.5% of the world population.

American Civil War: One estimate of the death toll is that ten percent of all Northern males 20–45 years old, and 30 percent of all Southern white males aged 18–40 perished.

    - -

that said, third density does of necessity require the investigation of the principle of 'bellicosity'; and it's part of the learning experience.

when Ra was asked about catalyst that was created by the Self, rather than catalyst derived from the universe (ie, natural environment), or catalyst derived from Other-Self, Ra listed 4 main categories.

    Quote:33.15 Ra: I am Ra.

    1) Firstly, the self unmanifested.

    2) Secondly, the self in relation to the societal self created by self and other-self.

    3) Thirdly, the interaction between self and the gadgets, toys, and amusements of the self, other-self invention.

    4) Fourthly, the self relationship with those attributes which you may call war and rumors of war.

so war (and the talk of war) is a great catalyst indeed. It forces us to address issues of nationhood, the boundaries that we draw around our 'group', and asks us if we are able to see the 'enemy' that our society labels, as an equal, rather than a foe.

      UFOS

I think its fairly strange that i have never really recently seen a discussion of Ra'S mention of UFOS in our history be it from the confederation or the Orion Empire.

I would like hear peoples views on the historic aspect of the Law of One contact and the possibility that when those of Atlantis went to different mountainous regions on the Earth that many of the teachings/understandings could have been brought down into different mystery religions.

Quoting the Law of One - challenge
Posted by: Guardian - 05-29-2014, 07:54 AM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (19)

I've begun quoting the Law of One daily on my Facebook wall. Something I noticed is that there are 3 or 4 friends who automatically respond with attacks. I find their responses fascinating as you would think friends would choose silence over aggression. However, ego and fear are strong in the 3rd density. As such I have simply blocked them from seeing my newsfeed.

My challenge to everyone here is to start spreading the Law of One. I would advise not to preach or argue, but simply quote and let the words speak for themselves. You may find a consistent few trying to antagonize you, I would recommend not engaging with them.

By posting Law of One and hidden hand material, I have already found 4 other wanderers (who were on my friends list) in one week. We will begin a meditation group in the attempt to channel, astral project, and work on telepathy. Remember the law of squares.

There are many of us out there, we are not alone. People are afraid to come forward. And as such, the time for the light to shine and reach out to others is now.

      Steady State of Silence
Posted by: Plenum - 05-28-2014, 08:53 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (8)

I have a monkey mind; and I love it. All sorts of random stuff comes up in consciousness, and I chase things like a dog in a field of golden sunflowers.

but when necessary, can I silence it? can the chatter be quieted, and can this great instrument of the mind be put to more focussed purpose?

the following passage comes from earlier in the sessions (Session 5) and so a lot of the framework for bigger understandings (terminologies and concepts) had not been laid down yet. One could imagine that Ra might have given a more elaborate and fuller reply if the same question was posed later, when further things could be drawn upon.

Don's line of questioning was regards how an entity might go about contacting intelligent infinity. Ra's reply was that one need to discipline (train) the mind, the body, and then the spirit; in that order, and mirroring the array of the archetypes.

To train the mind, (or to be able to do any kind of mental work related to metaphysics) Ra says that silence is a prerequisite. Or in more buddhist terms, being able to coax the monkey mind from running around the house throwing stuff, and get it to sit still in the corner for a while. Meditation, no?

Quote:5.2 We begin with the mental learn/teachings necessary for contact with intelligent infinity. The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence.

once that silence if available (and able to be accessed by choice), then the actual mental trainings can begin.

    here is the first recommendation:

Ra Wrote:To begin to master the concept of mental discipline it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

the full passage is here for further reading:
    http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?s=5#2

Silence is essential; then the question becomes, what do you do once you have attained that blank piece of paper? what is the work/balancing you wish to attain, and what is the method (technique) by which you choose to meet that goal?

      A Solo Individual and Ra
Posted by: Plenum - 05-28-2014, 08:22 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (11)

I have often wondered about this following passage, and one of the words used. Here is the section:

Quote:71.21 Questioner: When you say you searched for this group what do you mean? What was your process of search? I ask this question to understand more the illusion of time and space.

Ra: I am Ra. Consider the process of one who sees the spectrograph of some complex of elements. It is a complex paint sample, let us say for ease of description. We of Ra knew the needed elements for communication which had any chance of enduring. We compared our color chip to many individuals and groups over a long span of your time. Your spectrograph matches our sample.

In response to your desire to see the relationship betwixt space/time and time/space, may we say that we conducted this search in time/space, for in this illusion one may quite readily see entities as vibratory complexes and groups as harmonics within vibratory complexes.

now, Ra says that they found a 'match' for their color chip in the group of Don, Carla, and Jim; who as a group, represented the qualities of love, wisdom and power to an archetypal level, which was a further elaboration elsewhere in the material.

My question is about the word 'individual' used in the above quote. Could a single individual, with enough purity, and encapsulating the necessary qualities to the degree necessary, could they have matched the color chip purely on their own?

in the end, though, I think it is somewhat of a moot point; as regardless of how one reads that passage, the takeaway is that the 'matching' was a rare event, and that few came up to scratch for 'any chance of enduring'.

To act as a counter to the idea of a single individual working alone for positive ends, Ra also had this to say on an unrelated matter:

Quote:42.18 Questioner: Then in attempting to reproduce this experience would I then best follow practices for the Order of the Golden Dawn in reproducing this?

Ra: I am Ra. To attempt to reproduce an initiatory experience is to move, shall we say, backwards. However, the practice of this form of service to others is appropriate in your case working with your associates.

It is not well for positively polarized entities to work singly.

The reasons for this are obvious.

we did have the shining examples (as known examples) of Jesus and the Buddha attaining heights of understanding and manifestation that few others could reach. But these two also shared their work, and were not 'single' and 'alone' after reaching the peaks of consciousness.

      Does 7D have a body?
Posted by: AnthroHeart - 05-26-2014, 12:40 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (5)

Ra says that in 7D you no longer recycle body complexes. Does this mean that you're just a mind/spirit complex, with no body? Is it pure consciousness or does it go beyond consciousness. Ra said that little or no work is done in consciousness in the higher densities, so I'm not sure how that factors in.

It would be exciting to just be a point of consciousness with no body to worry about. That's what 7D must bring. It's in a black hole, so I wonder the kind of experience one gets when accumulating that much spiritual mass.

I don't know if 7D is complex anymore. Maybe you're just a spirit.

      Giants Vs Bigfoot
Posted by: XionComrade - 05-23-2014, 10:25 PM - Forum: Strictly Law of One Material - Replies (5)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gghfSK7-1Bc

For me I had always had a intense interest in stories and legends of Giants, particularly in the Bible. A interest that has never weakened. Years ago when I first took a interest in the Bigfoot subject I did so because of their relation to those legends and stories. Huge hairy people, 7-12 feet tall, covered in hair, living completely wild and in tune with nature. Giants, yes indeed. Problem is as I eventually found out, Bigfoot is apparently not the same thing as the Giants referred to in the bible and in native american culture, and native american cultures that I am familiar with(Who still survive anyway) have always held that the two things are very different, Bigfoot are Giants, but not all Giants are Bigfoot. In the context of the Bible, the Bigfoot are the closest thing we have today to Adam and Eve(I guess God figured they were so damned impressive he just had to keep these originals alive and doing good, and to my understanding they are actually very helpful and make good teachers to those who would listen to them as friends and neighbors, the bigfoot having different understandings and views on the nature of reality and the Earth than most people have, as one of my native friends put it "They do not view things as separate, but rather as whole, singular"), the original humans on this planet. After Adam and Eve fell I suppose it could be said, they were directly changed to something much more like us to sum it up poorly and loosely, the Bigfoot still live and do well considering having to live alongside modern man, though. They are completely in tune with nature...do not have to cook food, blend in with their surroundings, and do not need tools for anything whatsoever. They are born ready to survive in any environment from desert to arctic, whereas we are born handicapped, as out of tune with nature as imaginable.

What the "Giants" are, referred to as Anakim directly in the Bible if you prefer that source, however, would be more of a "Demi-god", a real life superman. Part "alien", part us(Us who are incidentally, part alien, part bigfoot in a over generalized way), better physically(And probably mentally too) in every way, and as it turned out, at our expense. Probably only looking like enormous super powerful versions of ourselves, rather than the heavy, wild, animalistic and hairy Sasquatch. Some native american stories tell of them being so huge and strong they could kill a large buffalo and throw it over their shoulder to carry off with only one arm, they tell of them often being a sinister cannibalistic peoples, the ultimate enemy of man, who were eventually wiped out after much conflict by environment and our numbers(And incidentally their own super-human arrogance).

I made this thread to discuss the topic, either of the relationship between the bigfoot and the apparently now extinct Giants, or either separately, let's get to talkin' people! BigSmile
