It was framed as an all around life coaching program and it had philosophical / metaphysical aspects. It was also of an elitist nature: I was required to draw pictures like the ones below, often multiple pieces everyday for months. I have 4 binders of these drawings with probably 100 drawings in each, accumulated over 5 months. At the same time I had a heavy daily workout program, daily visualization exercises, and occasionally reading. For 2 months in the summer, I worked on a stonemasonry project for up to 10 hours a day without pay. I also had to sit in on hours of lectures about communication, psychology, and a twisted philosophy of service and compassion that was actually very harsh, vindictive, and elitist. There were some aspects on synchronicity, having situations connected to one's past actions mirrored back to them from the opposite perspective, and other metaphysical phenomena.

First of all: Nice drawings. You clearly have a powerful artistic ability. It is unfortunate that this drained all joy of it out of you.

Was this person a Qabalistic magician? Or a follower of Thelema, perchance?

People tend to seek value-judgement from others in the form of feelings (a poor word).

People have many many complexes about why they think the way they do. That is a study in itself. It is absolutely necessary to know your feelings to act wisely in response to them in each moment.

People conflate their outer and inner reality. One must learn to demonstrate to the inner self undesired expressions are not desired. People assume they must accept how things are and believe they have no input because of regressive emotional complexes. A clearer relationship from self to self must be devised.

The simple practice of appreciation and gratitude for the current circumstance is the 'go to' method. The 'self-preservation instinct' in your case most likely sets the tone from which you conspire with you feelings to change.

In a nutshell nobody can validate your feelings and you must become strong enough to decipher proper placement of ideas and actions.

Overly complicated emotional reactions must be refined. It is a painful process to know what you are really feeling. The feelings in turn govern attitude. I will say again it is necessary (as Ra said) to know what you are accepting given in the healing training.

So you mean that we are constantly fishing for emotional compliments? Many folks certainly look into the mirror of society in order to gain more knowledge about the self and their relationships with others. Study of body language seems to show, that, on a subconscious level, we exist in a perpetual state of communication with our environment.
This reminded me of conversations I have had with very negatively poled individuals.
They spoke of feelings, where I tended towards emotions.

All part of growing up and taking responsibility.

Basically yes, Proper emotion relationships to action are necessary for the action to take place. Ra did say many people are regressing, feeling green ray vibrations, to orange ray which is consideration of self.

I wouldn't exactly say people are fishing for emotional compliments. People do though. One's overall emotional complex is the movement from survival to group dynamics or 'ego'.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "they spoke of feelings, where I [you] tended towards emotions". Can you elucidate?
