As Ra said, ego is an unworkable concept. I agree with this sentiment and that it is much easier to move forward by dropping the concept altogether and begin from there. This positive smc 'ego' illusion in your mind seems to arise from attachment to this concept. In my understanding it is not such an ego concept but a heighened state of beingness where the seeming separation starts to narrow and the group can see it easier and easier that they are one in mind and spirit due to the desire to grow in a similar fashion. There is no ego in this, just realization and awareness of traveling willingly 'in the same bus', so to speak. Example: You as part of a sto smc collective give your neighbor salt and potatoes, because you notice they only have carrots and pepper in their soup. Does this action arise, because you want something in return later? Likely not, if one is beginning to grasp and align with the Law of One. Then, does the action arise, because you saw that the neigboring other smc collective don't seem to share salt and potatoes, and you wish to show off your smc's 'we spirit'? Think about that.
