Ra just meant that the word "ego" has too many different meanings in different materials to be an effective way of working with that concept in the Ra material.

For someone like Tolle, he defines it himself and then it's consistent throughout all of Tolle's teachings.

But it's important to really know what a material means by that word before assuming you already know what the author means when using it.
