ra mentions something about cut garlic being repulsive to lower negative astral forms so that would be something simple you can try.

This is what a friend of mine recommends:
Light 9 candles in a circle, clockwise. Put on harmonious music. Let the lights and the music end by themselves. Do not blow out the lights or turn off the music. It has to end by itself. (So don't pick the lights or the music that will last for hours ). Take place in the middle of the circle, and meditate first. So that your mind is in the harmonious state. Then ask for help from angels, Confederation, unseen family and friends, or whomever you believe in. Ask in the love and the in light of One Infinite Creator/Source/Unity to guard and guide you. Ask for help. Then thank everyone for that help. Sit there for as long as you are able to attain meditative state, being in harmonious state of mind. When the focus and concentration wanes, read a book of spiritual inspiration, like Law of One and similar. One can leave the circle after thanksgiving to all entities and protection. But don't blow out the lights and turn off the music. Just read the book until the candles and the music have finished. Thank everyone again, and this is it. (you should not leave the harmonious state of mind until the candles have burned down and music is finished. That's why it is recommended to read an inspirational, harmonious book, until they all burned down. But you can leave the circle after thanking all the entities, and sit in a couch nearby for instance)

{ various typographical emphasis added by me } Question: Q’uo, I’m curious about the distinction between psychic attack and everyday, run-of-the mill catalyst, just the daily stuff, because life is life. I’m wondering if you could discuss that from a spiritual perspective—how to distinguish between the two—without impinging on anyone’s free will. Thanks. Answer:We thank you, my brother. There really is no clear boundary between the slings and arrows of outrageous, everyday fortune, as this one would wrongly quote the one known as William, [6] and psychic greeting. However, there are slings and arrows that seem outrageous beyond the everyday. And in those cases it is likely that the seeker will say he is having a psychic greeting or psychic attack. Usually, for the most part, psychic greetings are a mechanism from within the self where light has not been developed in a certain way or in a certain area and therefore, that which strikes one as catalyst strikes one much more keenly and much more painfully than the everyday experience and difficulty. Consequently, before one begins to think, “Oh, I’m being attacked by some evil entity from the outside,” it is far more fruitful, generally speaking, to gaze within to see what has caused this seeming feeling of being attacked or greeted, to look into that moment of resistance or difficulty or frustration and to gather intelligence concerning that happening. It is very instructive for any spiritual seeker to go right back into the heart of that which has troubled him, looking for patterns. For each has come into incarnation with some things to do and some things to learn. And for each there is at least one incarnational lesson that repeats, like the theme that plays over and over again, like the tune you hear and you know Peter is coming, or the wolf is coming, or the duck, in Peter and the Wolf, that marvellous piece which has a little tune for each entity. [7] You also have themes to your incarnation, leitmotifs that occur again and again. It is not that they occur precisely the same way each time, for you are different each time that you meet this incarnational lesson. It meets you at a different place. Yet there are elements of it that you recognize after you’ve contemplated this for a while. It helps greatly to have a handle on what your incarnational lessons are because it removes all fear when you come into that awareness, “Oh, I’m being hit by this again.” Then you can think, “Oh, okay, I know that. That’s my theme, that’s my lesson. Let’s see how I shall do with it this time.” Then you begin to ask yourself those questions that we so often encouraged you to ask: “Where is the love in this moment?” “Where is the Creator in this moment?” “How may I serve to my highest and best in this moment?” “How may I expand faith and let go of fear?” “How may I love?” Occasionally, there is an outside entity that wishes to distract you from the path that you have chosen to follow, for a being of light, a light-worker, that is distracted from the light work and coaxed into sitting by the side of the road in heavy gloom has successfully been taken away from that worker’s reason for being here. So, when you feel distracted, when you feel discouraged, allow those feelings to wash through you as you allow the love and the light of the infinite One to fill you. That which happens to you, be it the normal difficulties of everyday or that which might be called psychic greeting, all responds to the same thing: your loving attention. So let your light shine forth. And when it is challenged, take the time to honor and respect that which the challenge is and then let it be and let it go so that you may be about the business that you came to be about. -- [6] William Shakespeare, in Hamlet, where Hamlet (Act III, Scene 1) muses, “To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and, by opposing, end them?” [7] “Peter and the Wolf” is a symphonic piece for children, complete with a narrative. The piece is both composed and written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. Each character in the story has a theme or leitmotif. When you hear the stringed instruments play a specific melody, it denotes Peter. French horns play a melody that announces the arrival of the wolf. The duck’s theme is played by an oboe. ----- I also have these general comments of my own: If you are being attacked, then it is my heartfelt wish that you receive all the help you need - it is all there for the asking. Notwithstanding the availability of this aid, I think a big part of the problem is that some people have is the forgetting of an essential fact:- we are HUMAN BEINGS! Consider what that means in a spiritual sense. We were made in the image of the creator! We are invested with the power to create! Is it not implicit what this means in terms of the power available to you? I'd say most of the time, the large majority of the time, we are the creators of our own problems. Reclaim the power to stand your ground, in your fullest divine sovereignty and awesome power. Anchor..

I came across a Ra quote that seemed pertinent. There appears to be some contradiction, you acknowledge balance as the answer but still want to discuss something. I see a cause-effect relationship between both true and imagined attack and imbalance (in the former case the object is to exploit weaknesses).
86.7 Questioner: You have stated that dreaming, if made available to the conscious mind, will aid greatly in polarization. Could you define dreaming or tell us what it is and how it aids polarization? Ra: I am Ra. Dreaming is an activity of communication through the veil of the unconscious mind and the conscious mind. The nature of this activity is wholly dependent upon the situation regarding the energy center blockages, activations, and crystallizations of a given mind/body/spirit complex. In one who is blocked at two of the three lower energy centers dreaming will be of value in the polarization process in that there will be a repetition of those portions of recent catalyst as well as deeper-held blockages, thereby giving the waking mind clues as to the nature of these blockages and hints as to possible changes in perception which may lead to the unblocking. This type of dreaming or communication through the veiled portions of the mind occurs also with those mind/body/spirit complexes which are functioning with far less blockage and enjoying the green-ray activation or higher activation at those times at which the mind/body/spirit complex experiences catalyst, momentarily reblocking or baffling or otherwise distorting the flow of energy influx. Therefore, in all cases it is useful to a mind/body/spirit complex to ponder the content and emotive resonance of dreams. For those whose green-ray energy centers have been activated as well as for those whose green-ray energy centers are offered an unusual unblockage due to extreme catalyst, such as what is termed the physical death of the self or one which is beloved occurring in what you may call your near future, dreaming takes on another activity. This is what may loosely be termed precognition or a knowing which is prior to that which shall occur in physical manifestation in your yellow-ray third-density space/time. This property of the mind depends upon its placement, to a great extent, in time/space so that the terms of present and future and past have no meaning. This will, if made proper use of by the mind/body/spirit*, enable this entity to enter more fully into the all-compassionate love of each and every circumstance including those circumstances against which an entity may have a strong distortion towards what you may call unhappiness. As a mind/body/spirit* consciously chooses the path of the adept and, with each energy center balanced to a minimal degree, begins to open the indigo-ray energy center, the so-called dreaming becomes the most efficient tool for polarization, for, if it is known by the adept that work may be done in consciousness while the so-called conscious mind rests, this adept may call upon those which guide it, those presences which surround it, and, most of all, the magical personality which is the higher self in space/time analog as it moves into the sleeping mode of consciousness. With these affirmations attended to, the activity of dreaming reaches that potential of learn/teaching which is most helpful to increasing the distortions of the adept towards its chosen polarity. There are other possibilities of the dreaming not so closely aligned with the increase in polarity which we do not cover at this particular space/time. * Should be mind/body/spirit complex. Ra and Don corrected the error in session 87.

Find the opening through which that which is not wanted is secreting itself. Close the opening. The complex becomes impervious to the attack.

So, I've been having fun with psychic greeting lately.
A devastating one was empowered by my friends latent psychic ability and likely his subconscious thoughts towards me as a gateway to attack me. It left an impressive hole in my aura starting from my right shoulder straight into my heart chakra. I spent the night at a hotel, because when I was anywhere near him, I could feel it draining my vital energy. It is possible that I nearly died. I received several more greetings similar to this one today, but was simply able to pull them into my heart and transmute them into love. I'm going to be eating a meal with this friend in an hour or so. He's a really good friend or I wouldn't go. If you get a chance, pray for me. <3 Ok, wisdom told me not to go. After writing about it, I felt that whole section of my body begin to start aching. I got the message.

> I perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual Of the Pentagram each night before meditating
Australian Aborigines have a tradition of "pointing the bone". When done by a tribal shaman to a member of the tribe who has transgressed their laws, the victim withers and dies. I remember reading an account of a European doctor who was called to save a victim of this, and his amazement at his inability to achieve anything; the victim died. It may be psychic/psychological but is extremely effective nontheless. The most interesting aspect is that it only works on other Aboriginals and has no reported effects on others. It's effectiveness undoubtedly derives from the deeply implanted belief in the victim that it works. If you engage in Abrahamic rituals, you are strengthening your belief in the whole tradition, and rendering yourself increasingly vulnerable to its methods. I, too, suffered intense psychic attack for several decades, and can assure you that such techniques can only deflect or alter the effects of the attacks, but not stop them or render them void. A very different approach is required.

Face your fears, and practice being in the presence of your own power and love and light. Darkness may not enter the fields of light.
psychic defense for inability to accept the self is laughable due to the irony of the situation. "I'm having fun not accepting myself, but pray for me while I'm engaged in my entertainment". lol.
"pray for me while I ignore my responsibility and play a video game".

I think sometimes people don't even see that as the problem so they won't understand what you're getting at. You know, e.g., you have to admit you're 'sick' to begin the healing process etc.

If someone wants to be under attack, they will remain under attack until they choose not to be. The decision is much simple than it seems. I can't even count the number of people I know who continually pull to themselves the things they swear they are trying to get rid of, simply because it is easier to believe oneself a victim than to take personal responsibility for one's behavior. Doing a protection ritual is less painful than seriously evaluating the self to "seal the holes," but until actual effort is put into sealing the holes, such rituals are effectively meaningless and the distortion will continue unabated. If one is truly aligned on their path of seeking, these experiences are brushed off without incident, and if you truly decide these "attacks" will not be a part of your life, then they will not be.
I was one of these people for years. I would experience "attacks" severe enough to cause physical injury and wound up in mental institutions numerous times because of the "bad voices" in my head and the various dark visions I experienced. I blatantly refused to believe that these over-the-top experiences were anything short of demonic attack, and I wasted some of the best years of my life unsuccessfully trying to banish the devil from my closet. It was only when I looked inside and saw how messed up I was, and how much I used the idea of negative attack as a crutch to avoid delving into the pain of several incidents from my childhood, that I was able to take REAL action. I firmly decided that I was not going to give these things the time of day. All "attacks" would be redirected towards finding ways to improve myself. I would accept the lesson and think absolutely nothing else of it. Lo and behold, all of said catalyst ceased almost instantly and I remain free of it to this day. You don't need candles or fancy words. The power is in YOUR hands, and is available the moment you decide to use it. **Edited due to grammar.

I've also noticed how easy it is to use "negative attack" as a means of self-validation. "I'm being attacked by mysterious dark forces; therefore I must be a very good/holy/powerful/special person for them to work so hard to suppress me." I've also seen the "I must be cursed/inherently evil to experience this," which is used to further the low self-esteem victim mentality. Though on occasion this is used entirely as a means to draw attention to the self, the process is usually unconscious.
In a sense this reasoning is true. Those who remain stagnant are not likely to draw any sort of attention to themselves. However, to experience repeated "psychic greeting" is, IMO, not a sign that you're doing a great job, but a sign that there's a lesson you're missing entirely. I simply do not believe that a perfectly balanced person would be so helpless as to simply have to endure perpetual attack. The waves may occasionally rise, but they break effortlessly against the cliff with no damage done. While I think 99% of what is experienced as psychic greeting in fact has its origin within the personal psyche (I've seen some pretty solid thought forms manifested by people who had no idea that they were even projecting), even in the case of true outside interference, the ONLY power these beings can have over you is FEAR. It is the fear of them and what they might do to you that feeds their power and allows them more influence in your life. In fact, I don't see why this wouldn't apply to personal thought forms as well. Regardless if the catalyst is coming from a dark lord or just a rogue portion of the shadow self, these energies may only exploit the vulnerabilities you present, and you are NEVER helpless.

more gibberish
I have to agree with Brittany Lynn's posts. I have been under "psychic attack" for the past few days but it's just a thought-form I sicced on myself at some point in the past, and it has been teaching me loads about self-acceptance
The "pesky human magicians" can only effect you in so far as you believe they are able to effect you. Of course balancing isn't easy, the alternative is though, which would be to project your imbalances out into the physical in order to have a scapegoat for what you are feeling. That is quite easy. "Not wanting to be balanced" is in essence the same as "Not wanting to face the self." you open yourself up to these experiences and then ask how to defend against them, seems a little silly imo but then again who am I to tell anyone how to play the game I don't mean to stir the pot so take my words simply as my view on the situation if you feel I am misguided that's fine.

Regarding your comment about magicians though; I'm sorry but that's just not true. I wish it were it that simple when it comes to magicians and me, there's a very lengthy story behind this. It is also the reason i renounced my affiliation with the light. Not wanting to be balanced could alternatively be seen as fully embracing the self. Accepting all one's flaws and cherishing them is an act of being unbalanced, not balanced. To strive for balance is a bias of importance. Importance suggests an inequality between two things. Inequality means an unequal ratio, this means IMBALANCE. As long as you strive for balance you will never achieve it. There's a time I would've once made all the points you guys have. I am simply seeking to push what is a possible as human enjoying the emotional distortions of imbalance. Lol this thread is getting off topic. I fixed my situation quite a while ago, and i did not need to become 'balanced'. I understand why you guys think it's important i do, but you pushing your ideas of it on me seems an incredibly unbalanced action. The whole thing really is quite humorous. Also psychic attacks are a real issue and happen a lot more often than you all seem to think. In this situation i expressed fear for my physical life and all you did (Not all of you, some of you offered techniques to help and sent me your love or shared your own experiences) was sit back and tell me to balance up and how this all is all in my head. In your position of intellectual and spiritual superiority (3rd ray imbalance) you have elucidated unto me your ignorance of the spirit/human interaction (7th ray unactivated and unbalanced) and lack of compassion for other selves (4th ray imbalance). The light will burn your flesh and leave you blind.

whoah...
can the striving for balance be an imbalance too? Like obsessing about getting balanced. I kinda think you both look at the same thing from a different angle... think of a set of scales... no matter how much the pendulum sways in one and the other direction, it will eventually come to a stand still. And balance itself out. (03-19-2013, 08:55 PM)Lightseeker Wrote:(03-19-2013, 10:05 AM)Spaced Wrote: I have to agree with Brittany Lynn's posts. I did not mean to force anything onto you, I simply wanted to share my experiences. I have no need for others to find me correct I just like to share, something that I become more and more wary of doing on this forum. Sometimes my language may come across harsher than I meant it too, I have trouble getting words to do what I want them to sometimes. I am also not saying that you should ignore imbalances or anything of the kind, I think that you should embrace them, sit with them and integrate them into your being. This is the process of balance in my opinion.

"Nothing from nothing comes."
Externally projected energy from an entity or complex requires a receiving energy of equal vibration to harmonize with or amplify within the receiving individual. Negative, lower vibrational patterns are naturally picked up by many, but there is only a shocking reaction or discomfort so long as there is already negative, lower vibrational patterns for the incoming energies to activate. Said another way, no other individual or entity is capable of literally forcing you in to a new energy/thought configuration, but only tempting you through the offering of its own energies and thus by-passing your free will through deception and convincing you to take on its projections. This is why it is said that balance within the self is the key to protection. This is not to suggest that such attacks are 'not real', because of course the experience is very real, but rather that there is a mechanic at play which necessitates a broadcaster and receiver. The receiver will receive whatever vibration it is tuned to, so all such experience of 'attack' comes through the mechanism of being open to receive the vibrations being projected. The projection cannot actually be 'stopped', and even the use of any kind of technique is an 'after the fact' effect. So, rather, the key is to integrate or even simply ground out the energy being projected, rather than try to fight it off or 'repel' it, although you can also defend yourself that way, just with more effort, and possibly to lesser effect. Most important is that a negative attack works by the attempt to amplify or suppress one or more of the chakra centers, thereby creating a (greater) distortion or imbalance in the individual system. Therefore, it makes sense that the work of balancing is not just for health, wholeness and remembrance, but is also a natural form of defense.
