everyone will have differing views on this, and they, of course, are most valid.

but since this is OP, I will get a chance to get first shot in at what I consider the most important, grounding, and stabilising area for any individual, regardless of whether they are a seeker or not.

if I had to do my journey again (and hopefully, with Harvest, that is a nada, and I've completed my 'mission'), then I would, first and foremost, address the Orange Ray Chakra.

this is the seat of personal power, identity, self-assurance, self-validity, confidence, skillset, ability to learn, self-trust, awareness of self, and ability to function.

when the orange ray energy centre (and by association, all the thoughts that go into clearing or blocking it), is impaired it can lead to some very distorted motivations in one's seeking, even though one is aiming for say love, wisdom, and an understanding of higher energetics.

one can compensate for self-esteem issues present in the orange ray through externalising into certain habits, usually obsessive ones, as I can speak from experience. It can lead to some very distorted social relations (yellow ray) because everything is being filtered back as a criticism of the self, and one can imagine the very worst about other people, without ever giving them a chance to interact with you.

    - -

for those who identify with some sort of Wanderer status, or some sort of off world origin, this explanation can make a lot of sense to explain some of the loneliness and outsider status that one might have had while growing up. And while one might indeed be a Wanderer or alien soul, those issues or hurts from childhood, many years of being on the outside, being 'different', being 'excluded', those mental injuries and traumas still have to be integrated for the self to become whole again.

and these self-identity issues and issues regards how others treat us ('self worth'), these are stored up as orange ray attitudes, that are programmed through many years of re-inforcement and repetitive thinking in the mind. They don't go away automatically just because one awakens, and comes to a truer sense of identity (ie, I am a Wanderer, and this is who 'I am'.).

and so yeah, if I could do it again, I would say - 'forget the knowledge. forget the trying to play a social role. forget trying to gain skills to impress others. Find out what this orange ray chakra thingy is, and read everything you can about it. Maybe find a therapist to work though some of these self-identity/self-esteem/self-power issues. Fix this all important plank before attempting anything else.' Because, as I've learnt, if you don't fix the orange ray stuff, it will distort, and even pervert, anything you attempt in yellow ray (social), green (universal acceptance), and blue (attempts to gain and convey wisdom to others).

as Ra says, the red ray is open or not to various degrees. It is not so much subject to balancing as rather opening to the various catalysts and experiences of life.

Orange Ray is the first energy center which bears the stamp of the self, and is the plank for everything which follows.

as the year rolls over into 2014, and as I turn 37 in early January (even though I still feel and live life as a spritely 22 year old, dem asian genetics lol), I could have saved myself much heartache and suffering if I had had this sagely advice earlier on. No doubt, the feedback and the clues were there in my life, present in my self-attacking thoughts, but I didn't really know how to work with them, or truly understand the importance of the Orange Ray until much much later on.

if you take care of the important things, the less important things will tend to find an easier resolution, or even resolve themselves.

if I had do to it again, the Orange Ray centre could be my Number One priority, and I would invest my heart and soul into investigating it.

what advice would you give to a new Seeker?

I would say learn how to manipulate and heal the self. Not all will have issues with root or sacral, but the whole system should be kept in balance as a prep for facing any catalyst whatsoever. A clear system allows for easier inflow of new energies and info.

If you're talking about priorities, before work is done how about learning something about the mind?Dream symbolism for example. Balancing work requires an awareness of opposities, but those opposites are not readily recognizable without knowledge of collective and personal symbolism. What about development of the will, in the manner Assagioli prescribes for example?

I have seen a lot of sentiments here of posters saying once they found the LOO they didn't need to read anything else...
My advice to the new "seeker" would be to never stop, sure you can probably do without the new age fluff which probably won't tell you anything new after you've read the LOO, but there is so much out there to refine the framework through which you view the LOO, the world and yourself. I also would advise against the sacralising of the "Ra"/Ra material (and the consequential profaning of anything that contradicts it), it ain't perfect and such behaviour does little more than encouraging zealotry.

I second Zenmaster, but also I'd say chuck in some philosophy of mind in with your psychological ponderings, should set you up on some pretty firm ground for your "seeking".

Yeah, grounding. But that is something that means experience has crystallized and honesty to self honored. So maybe all those things learned will eventually click and make sense.

I probably would have done things the same way, although I probably wouldn't have done DMT. It opened me up prematurely, and I couldn't handle it much of the time. If I was to do it again, I wouldn't believe I was actually talking to Ra in the past, and wouldn't have worked with them. The teachings were too hard for me.

I think that every wanderer will have a different path towards balancing the system.

Since we do have an abundance of 4d energies instreaming I would simply point towards honesty as the best feedback system for balancing the all of the rays. (maybe even back in plain ol' 3d when we had an activated yellow ray lighty thingy coming from our sun)

"I just did 'x'". "How did that make you feel?" Process. Integrate. Repeat.

"I was afraid that if I did x you would respond badly... the way you responded makes me think I caused you discomfort." "Oh, it was something on your end, and not something that I did?"

Realizing that you can be honest with your thoughts, with your emotions, and with your body gives you a mountain of potential expression to open up to.

I am a new seeker, and I find these posts thought-provoking and helpful. The most important thing for me right now is the self-acceptance and honesty of where I'm at. I find myself constantly noticing my unconscious reactions and behaviors. Whereas in the past, I would have ignored or felt shame over these recognitions. I now see these moments as opportunities for self-acceptance and forgiveness. In the past I've been a bit of a spiritual trophy hunter looking for experiences I could hang on my wall. I still have this but I also have an openness from which to allow and observe this behavior. The recognition of these embarrassments becomes an opportunity for greater acceptance. The trophies are falling from their mounts, however.

This paragraph really hit home with me. I had spent a long time in this mode, even after years of seeking (I didn't use that term, just thought I was investigating non-usual sources of information such as channeled stuff to find answers to my questioning).

Years ago I did a forgiveness practice because I carried resentments for years toward some "baddies" that I perceived had done me wrong. Of course I "discovered" that only one person needed forgiveness (and you know who that was Angel).

To use a popular term, this changed my life. In your framework, plenum, I liberated myself from old orange blockage and moved much more into yellow land. Now life is easier because I don't feel as much yellow blockage, though I don't kid myself that it doesn't exist at all.

These days I see increasing evidence of green compassion all around, in the news (e.g. Make a Wish stories) and in other media. Maybe more exists (hope so) or I am more sensitive to it. I'm trying to do my part, too.

Best wishes for a new you, everyone:exclamation: Heart
