    Dear haqiqu and norral,
it is so lovely to see the tiny hearts flying around when you post Heart !
btw haqiqu, I love Rilke as well. I have a CD with german actors reading his texts, and music playing in the background.

    Thanks, Meerie Heart Tongue

Rilke is one of my very favorites, along with Mary Oliver, Rumi and Hafiz. I would bet that CD you have of Rilke's works is wonderful. I have some cassette tapes of Rumi being read by Coleman Barks, the best translator of Rumi's works. They are spellbinding.

    soft hearts

i cant wait to meet in person
haqiqu, meerie, ankh, oceania, kia, lorna and all the friends i have made
i will cry like a new born child of that there is no doubt.
    i cry pretty easy
    at every wedding
even if i dont know the people
because weddings offer hope for a new future
    full of promise and love
let us treat one another like we just got married
    and are on our honeymoon

    norral

p.s. crying makes me more of a man not less just wanted to get that out there

that's a wonderful sentiment, norral. i can't wait to meet my otherselves, also. i can't cry easily because my mother used to whip me more if i cried. she would dare me to shed one tear, then punish me for it. but that's just to say i can't cry easily. however whenever i'm with my grandson i cry over him very easily because he's a new beginning in my dysfunctional family and i'm determined to respect him and be kind to him.

i'm positive i will cry for days when we all finally meet up.

Heart heart you brother. stay sentimental, i love you that way

    VOICES

Words chiming like rivers of rain,
    musical notes from the tongue,
when you're a poet and you know it,
strands of reaching hope drift down
and lift you up to the podium,
    placing a microphone in front
of a confident set of lips
and saying "Stand up. Speak for us."

How many mouths are wired shut,
fingers trembling in anger and fear,
    crouching behind a sagging door
and waiting for the next storm of bullets?
    Voices ripped away by propaganda,
    threats, lies, the artfully placed
trigger of rage, despair and false hope.
Silent screams rip holes in the heavens.

How many are there out there,
dying to stand up, to shout,
and waiting for the next silver tongue
to say the words in their aching heads?
"No one will listen to me."
    Which malevolent gardener
planted that seed into the soil
    of insecurity and programmed dependence?

    Fancy words are silk paintings,
    beautiful and easily destroyed.
Fancy words inspire the fragile heart
to continue waiting for the savior to come.
Where are the simple, brutal, amazing words
from the lips of a child who is starving,
a woman whose house was foreclosed,
a man stripped of every form of dignity,
saying the truth we all know so well:

We are tired of living in lies.
We are tired of senseless violence.
We are tired of being puppeteered,
    manipulated, used as pawns,
wrenched and drained for all we have,
and made to bear the load of an elite
whose conscience has rotted from the inside out.
    This is our world.
    These are our children.
We see you for what you are,
and quite frankly, we've had enough.

Well woven words of rebellion are tolerated,
a fanciful distraction to halt the realization
that one speaker can easily be crushed,
but six billion cannot be ignored.
The time to wait for a speaker is over.
It is YOUR voice that matters,
no matter how smooth or awkward.
No matter what color, creed or background.
    Without you, each of you,
    each and every last one,
    fancy words mean absolutely nothing.

The world needs voices more than ever.
    Time to speak up.

beautiful sister i love it time to find our voices and to say to the oppressors
we aint taking this crap no freaking more. so to all the tyrants in this world
u know what we gots to say to you.

    untitled

drinking deeply from the fount of goodness,
joy and light entering into the deepest part of me'
something is changing hard to explain just what
theres a knowingess there , i dont need validation from
    anywhere outside of myself.
gods we all are and soon it shall be more than apparent
what a surprise it will be for those who imagined themselves
    better
locked within the blind shell of their arrogance
and what a joy it shall be for those whose
    hearts, filled with love,
have for so long longed for real power
not to exploit some weakness in others
    but to lift others up
    and to be of service.
i love the picture of us that i see is becoming
be of good cheer and have faith
this ride were on is about to accelerate

thanks for your support, norral. it's a karma i'm trying my best to heal now. i don't want to have to repeat this in another dimension or whatever. i am now living with my mother and watching after her as she slowly gets unable to help herself. we will never be friends, most of the time we stay apart from each other, but i help do things she cannot possibly do now and try and try and try to be gracious about it. she has alienated everyone around her, no one else pays any attention at all to her. she's too caustic and negative, bitter and sad. however, she is my responsibility because she is my parent, part of my family and i can't shun her. like i said there's karma here i don't intend to carry with me anymore.

it's not as dark as it seems. this area is beautiful and the house is big enough that we can get away from each other. my grandson is nearby and also my best friend, my daughter and my son so i feel very blessed.

    Heart you brother

    Monet Refuses The Operation

Doctor, you say there are no haloes
    around the streetlights in Paris
and what I see is an aberration
caused by old age, an affliction.
I tell you it has taken me all my life
to arrive at the vision of gas lamps as angels,
to soften and blur and finally banish
the edges you regret I don't see,
to learn that the line I called the horizon
does not exist and sky and water,
so long apart, are the same state of being.
Fifty-four years before I could see
    Rouen cathedral is built
    of parallel shafts of sun,
and now you want to restore
    my youthful errors: fixed
    notions of top and bottom,
    the illusion of three-dimensional space,
    wisteria separate
    from the bridge it covers.
What can I say to convince you
    the Houses of Parliament dissolves
    night after night to become
the fluid dream of the Thames?
I will not return to a universe
of objects that don't know each other,
as if islands were not the lost children
of one great continent. The world
is flux, and light becomes what it touches,
    becomes water, lilies on water,
    above and below water,
becomes lilac and mauve and yellow
    and white and cerulean lamps,
    small fists passing sunlight
    so quickly to one another
that it would take long, streaming hair
inside my brush to catch it.
To paint the speed of light!
    Our weighted shapes, these verticals,
    burn to mix with air
and change our bones, skin, clothes
    to gases. Doctor,
    if only you could see
how heaven pulls earth into its arms
and how infinitely the heart expands
to claim this world, blue vapor without end.

    something so very beautiful

something so very beautiful dwells within each one,
    awesome it truly is
to access it we must learn i would think
    how to truly forgive
the power of us is begging to be set free
out of many we become three
mother , father, daughter and son
and then the three can become one
i have no need to be right
    or any desire to fight
    so much better to merge
join me now and catch the urge
who knows what unexpected ecstasies await us
when we truly humble ourselves before the
    beauty of each other.
love one another, hugs not shrugs
    sure seems better to me

    no need to compete

i feel absolutely no need to compete,

sit down relax get off your feet

    loves pathway upward ever winds

thoughts of self are left behind

    open fields and open minds

leading us upward that we may find

after long struggles and battles within

there is absolutely no need to win

the power lies in the two who are one

sit down relax and have some fun

    on the horizon lightning flares

as finally finally after so many years

we realize the truth all lies within

knowing this no need to win

trust in yourself in the good inside

no need any longer is there to hide

you are a powerful awesome being

and the whole world and all of its possiblities

is sitting right there in your chest.

    reach out !! grab it !! trust i tell u trust .

dont be afraid , grab for the golden ring

the sky, oh beautiful soul is the limit

    Freedom
Freedom is seeing others accuse and vilify you and respecting their free will to do so.
Freedom is not being desperate to correct others if they choose to misunderstand you.
Freedom is not giving a thought about how others might view you.
Freedom is not feeling the need to change anyone else around you.
Freedom is feeling your emotions without getting sucked in by them.
Freedom is not having to worry about what to morrow may bring.
Freedom is being accepting and loving of yourself and other selves.
Be free, be well and BE YOURSELF.

    The Summer Day

    Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
    Who made the grasshopper?
    This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll though the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

    ~Mary Oliver

    my heart is wide open
    my mouth is shut tight
    the world casts its' lures
    but i will not bite
i am here for one purpose
    to uphold the light
    no battle with darkness
    i choose to shine bright
    laughing and playing
    i live in delight
    no worries to people
    nothing wrong to right
    in this love bubble
    my souls free for flight
    spiraling upwards

    can i really love ?

u ask me to love unconditionally those who have
    bombed little children,
and stood there laughing over there charred bodies
ha ha ha, big f ing joke that one
    its so funny to them

u want me to love them
    no i dont love them
    i cant stand them
they make me sick to my stomach.
what do i want to do to them
what do i want to do to them
this is a family channel i'll hold back my comments

isnt anybody else outraged at this crap
they are not my brothers or sisters
    they are evil
what does the light have to do with the darkness
    nothing
me and dick cheney aint never having lunch together

    we got nothing in common
he is evil and i am not

I don't get involved in conflicts,
    I'd rather sit and watch-
to LOL and roll my eyes
than kick it up a notch.
But perhaps out of sheer impulse,
    or feelings too repressed,
    this manifesto has come forth,
and it seems I must digress.

Oh, I eat meat and junkfood,
    scarfing Taco Bell without regret.
I can't afford to buy organic,
and I haven't dropped dead quite just yet.
I'm keeping my heart open (yes!),
I'm here to serve my fellow man,
and I don't think that they'll kick me out
    for sometimes eating jellied ham.

Yes, I like blood and vampires (woot!),
and black is my favorite color.
I just don't see how this relates
to the way that we treat each other.
I really don't see why we preach
about the best way to climb up the ladder,
when where YOUR footsteps are taking YOU
is the thing that truly matters.

    To carve out another's path,
and to judge them by their station...
to inspire such fear and anger
    under the guise of "information"...
    That sounds like a polarity,
but I'd like to ask, which one?
How will you reach your "ascension"
when your only care is what others have done?

I'm all for unity, peace and hope,
and I'm a huge fan of free will,
but for me, forming a righteous club
just isn't what fits the bill.
I will not change the girl I AM,
for Ra or the powers that be.
So form your opinions as you will,
I refuse to be anything but me.

    the picnic blanket

the picnic blanket of my heart
    invites u , my beloved.
come lie with me and let me hold
    you in my arms
let me drink in your sweetness
and brush the hair from your face
and when we awake and open our eyes
we will find the whole world beats
    tenderly in our one heart
