I found myself getting a little short-tempered and impatient today. And then I remembered, it's the FULL MOON! so I blame the Moon lol.

here are some Full Moon Effects that I found on a wicca spirituality website:

    - -

    Full Moon & Biology

These are documented influences of the Full Moon on living beings . . .

    1) Triggers many natural rhythms and breeding cycles.

    2) Herbivores and humans ovulate around the Full Moon.

    3) The height of the deer rutting season occurs around two full moons.

    4) Coral mates at the full moon.

    5) Migratory Birds appear to follow the patterns of the moon for timing and finding their path of migration.

    6) Game birds tend to return to certain locations at the time of the Hunter's Moon.

    7) Bears, caribou, and salmon move at the Full Moon.

    8) Vets & dog trainers note that animals are more restless and unruly during a Full Moon.

    9) Oysters are sensitive to the cycle of the Moon and not simply the movement of the tide.

    - -

    10) Auto accidents rise 14 per cent.

    11) Women who have already had children are likely to give birth on the day of the Full Moon.

    12) The full moon amplifies the electrical charge in living cells.

    - -

that said, astrology ain't my strong suit.

A strange effect i hve noticed about the full moon is how it seems to be able to shine through cloud cover. You can literally see it burn right through the clouds sometimes.

Watch the heavy cloud approach it, and then as it covers it you will still see the complete moon. It looks as though there is actually a hole in that cloud where the moon shines through and then as the cloud moves by that hole just disappears.

When I was a late night pizza delivery guy, I worked through many full moons. I can tell you at least 3/4 of the nights I worked where there was a full moon, customers would behave differently. It would normally be a much busier night, and as my old boss used to say: all the weirdo customers would come out of woodwork. Customers would be much more likely to be drunk a/o belligerent.

But, I was still slumbering at the time, so I dismissed it as something to do with the moons gravity effecting people in subtle ways. Now I wonder if there is much more to that.

Well when you consider the field of consciousness of someone like cayce or that guy that bends the spoons, and many others with strong intuitive abilities, and how they can impose their energy onto other fields around them, just imagine the power and affect of the moon.

I always have difficulty sleeping when there is a full moon.

Fishing (all other things being equal) is usually best when the moon is directly overhead. So when there is a full moon, it's good to fish in the middle of the night.

Well speaking of that, I don't know about you guys, but I can see almost perfectly in full moonlight. Is this normal or is that above average night vision for you guys?

OK, I am totally not kidding. I had to have the visor down on my car when driving tonight because the moon was so big and bright! And the whole time I was thinking to myself "I can't wait to post this in the full moon effects thread on bring4th!"

In other news - I try to put my crystals and a few other items out to get "recharged" during a full moon, and some during the new moon.

And I never sleep well when the moon is full.

is it wise to charge with the moon? if it beams stuff at us? or is it the sunlight that charges the crystals? but still the moon might affect them.

Why is the full moon occasionally bright orange? I've seen this maybe 3 times in the last year. Orange as "Mars" would be as viewed from the earth. But it only happens when the moon is full.

I place all my crystals and a big pitcher of water in the moon light. The following day I drink the water. Boosts one's feminine energy I feel and relieves the emotional effects of the previous days full moon.

Selenite seems particularly powerful after a night left in the full moon. Amazingly centering and balancing. I place big chunks on all major chakras except heart. I use a big rose quartz there instead.

Oh lastly a few years ago a police woman acquaintance told me the crime rate soars on the night of a full moon. It's their busiest day/night of the month.

The moon is truly "full" usually in the wee hours of the morning. I usually put mine out around midnight and leave them out until noon the next day so that their energies are balanced. It's what my shaman friend taught me to do.

I see well even in partial moonlight. I used to weed my garden at night, because I could see the weeds better at night than during the day.

The past two months I've noticed that during a full moon my senses are heightened like crazy!

anyone else notice this? Or noticed this throughout their lives perhaps? For me the last two full moons it's almost like my Spirituality is magnified in some way? I 'feel' more powerful to be honest.

After the last Scorpio moon I will not be requiring a recharge from this one. I might blow the roof off of the house. I think I am already attracting more attention than I should be as it is.

Its energies are nearly only lightblue and purple.. but yes, the past few ones have had some extra juice.

I made some pretty hefty changes this last Friday and Saturday (today is Sunday).

it may not sound like much, but I finally bit the bullet and updated my browser. It was chrome, and I was stuck on version 14 because it had a feature that I truly loved (side tabs lol). The developers dropped this for later versions, and so I've been using an outdated browser for ages. Latest version was ver 21!!

it led to a chain reaction in the way I relate to information, ie how I use the web. I also updated a ton of other stuff on my pc (I disable auto-updates as a matter of principle, because I get used to a certain routine of doing things, and updates break that for very little gain usually).

anyway, I didn't even realise it was a full moon until early saturday morning (3am) when I went for a stroll in the middle of my shift. Figures. These changes had been a while coming, but the moon energies stirred them up and made them unavoidable. Brought it to the surface like a rising tide.

This actually is quite insightful as I was extremely and I mean extremely agitated for the last half of Friday. It was actually quite upsetting as it seemed like all the work I had done regarding being positive was wiped out completely.

When I got home, I tried meditating with my crystals but I just couldn't clear my head. I then couldn't fall asleep until 2am because as soon as I closed my eyes, all these strange shapes kept flying at me at warp speed.

I posted this in another thread. Smile

Quote:Last night was special, at least for me. I had difficulty sleeping and was seeing patterns with my eyes closed. Also felt my energy body being worked on all over. It reminded me of the night right before the 11.11.11 gateway last year. I guess a great shift in energy happened last night too. Anyone else felt anything ?

    Could of also been this:

This caused a G2(on a scale of G1-5) geomagnetic storm. I think this in combination with the full moon energies may have had everyone on the edge of their seats labor day weekend.
