Well my favorite that comes to mind is the wobbling of the mind accompanied with the image of prostituting the mind.

In this image of Transformation of Mind, then, each of the females points the way it would go, but is not able to move, nor are the two female entities striving to do so. They are at rest. The conscious entity holds both and will turn itself one way or the other or, potentially, backwards and forwards, rocking first one way then the other [wobble] and not achieving the transformation. In order for the Transformation of Mind to occur, one principle governing the use of the deep mind must be abandoned.

I think you've made an excellent example about how the archetypes are ever-present in our unconscious mind, always expressing themselves through whatever chosen artistic medium. Here, we see imagery expressed with the same symbolic influence as express by the tarot. The archetypes are an unavoidable expression in anything drawn from the unconscious mind, especially imaginative art forms.

I think your point would be driven home much better if you could show how the lyrics express the archetype as well, and how it may relate to the particular culture/target audience of the video, and how it might be used as an unconscious form of seeking within that culture. At that point I'd probably agree with your assessment that this is one of your "best posts ever" :p.

I think the difference would be that the tarot, supposedly, were originally used to consciously contemplate the unconscious influence of the archetypes. They had the purpose of furthering ones seeking. What do you think that someone watching this video is truly consciously thinking, other than "party at the club?" I think the communication of the archetype is mostly to the unconscious, springing from the unconscious, rather than conscious mind to conscious mind.

What Plenum helped me think about is how, no matter what it's intended purpose, the tarot could have easily been pop culture in its time, and like anything in pop culture, there are the "haters".

I meant that there are people that create videos and music as a way of life. These people are detached from the lower energy emotions of the product.

Seriously, though. I actually think you're on to something 3D. You have made a broad spiritual interpretation of narrow cultural segment. I think we often fail to see the spiritual in EVERYTHING! Even wobbling, prostituted minds. But it is always there.
