I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 94.23:

“Questioner: Thank you. Then we’re expecting, in Card Number Four, to see the result of catalytic action and, therefore, a greater definition between the dark and the light areas. In this card we notice that it is more definitely darkly colored in some areas and more white in others, in a general sense, than Card Number Three, indicating to me that the separation along the two biases has occurred, and should occur, to follow the blueprint for experience. Could Ra comment on that?

Ra: I am Ra. You are perceptive, O student.”

Don notes that the dark and light areas are more pronounced in Card Number Four, The Experience of the Mind than they were in Card Number Three, The Catalyst of the Mind. He gets a “perceptive” from Ra when he interprets this pronounced coloration to mean that the concepts of the positive and negative polarity have begun to occur for the seeker. The seeker has begun to use catalyst in a way that either polarizes it toward service to others or toward service to self. At some point in the processing of catalyst the seeker will make this basic choice of the third density. In 77.16, Ra gave the reason why The Choice is so important in the third density:

Questioner: What I am really attempting to understand, since all of these twenty-one philosophical bases result in the twenty-second, which is The Choice, is why this choice is so important; why the Logos, it seems, puts so much emphasis on this choice; and what function that choice of polarity is, precisely, in the evolution or the experience of that which is created by the Logos?

Ra: I am Ra. The polarization, or choosing, of each mind/body/spirit is necessary for harvestability from third density. The higher densities do their work due to the polarity gained in this choice.

This choice between the two polarities is available to the seeker because from the beginning of the creation the “blueprint for experience” has existed within the mind of the Logos. All of the densities of creation, the energy centers of the body, the use of the mind, the body, and the spirit, and the existence of both paths of polarity were chosen by the Logos before the creation was made and before time “unrolled its scroll of livingness” as Ra said in 29.11:

We have just described to you the state of beingness of each Logos. The process by which space/time comes into continuum form is a function of the careful building, shall we say, of an entire, or whole, plan of vibratory rates, densities, and potentials. When this plan has coalesced in the thought complexes of Love, then the physical manifestations begin to appear; this first manifestation stage being awareness or consciousness. At the point at which this coalescence is at the livingness or beingness point—the point, or fountainhead, of beginning—space/time then begins to unroll its scroll of livingness.

The service-to-self polarity was actually the first of the two polarities to exist, as that was the only choice of service available before the creation was made. The One Creator only had Itself to serve. There was no other thing in existence. After the creation was made, then the possibility of the service to one of Its parts by another of Its parts came into existence as Don and Ra stated in 30.1:

Questioner: I am going to make a statement and then let you correct it if I have made any errors. This is the statement: creation is a single entity, or unity. If only a single entity exists, then the only concept of service is service to self. If this single entity subdivides, then the concept of service of one of its parts to the other part is born. From this concept springs the equality of service to self, or to others.

It would seem that as the Logos subdivided, parts would select each orientation. As individualized entities emerge in space/time then I would assume that they have polarity. Is this statement correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This statement is quite perceptive and correct until the final phrase in which we note that the polarities begin to be explored only at the point when a third-density entity becomes aware of the possibility of choice between the concept, or distortion, of service to self or service to others. This marks the end of what you may call the unselfconscious, or innocent, phase of conscious awareness.

This morning we were scheduled to have a channeling circle, but because of various reasons for each in the circle, we decided not to channel. For example, I am still grieving the loss of my two kitties. Another only got four hours of sleep last night. Another was having a difficult time with his pet dog recently had major surgery and was seriously incapacitated. We had already planned to have a discussion about a couple of L/L topics, so we went ahead with that as we shared a delicious lunch that Trish cooked. Overall, it was a pretty productive gathering.

The Universe Is Your Womb

I am the spirit of Jesus the Christ in the world today and I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

The night sky is an image which we may connect to the womb of the soul. The stars are sliding by in infinite number, their points of light flashing as jewels and moving away, then, at speeds which are impossible to express with tongue or measure.

It is in the starry womb within the silence of your being that peace, confidence and trust in that perfect love which Jesus brings are expressed. Rest in that womb and realize that you have yet to be born and that this universe and all that you see before you is indeed your womb.

To become a true child of the universe will be strange and new and certainly un-peaceful. Therefore, rest back in the true nature of womb silence and feel that peace which passeth all understanding, for in the darkness of the womb of the Father-Mother-God shall you be created and shall you create.

“Questioner: In Card Three the feet of the female entity are upon the unstable platform, signifying dual polarity by its color. In Card Four, one foot pointed indicates that if the male entity stands on the toe it would be carefully balanced. The other foot is pointed to the left. Would Ra comment on my observation that if the entity stands on this foot it will be very, very carefully balanced?

Ra: I am Ra. This is an important perception, for it is a key to not only this concept complex but to others as well.

You may see the T-square which at times riven as is one foot from secure fundament by the nature of experience, yet still—by this same nature of experience—is carefully, precisely, and architecturally placed in the foundation of this concept complex, and, indeed, in the archetypical mind complex.

Experience has the nature of more effectively and poignantly expressing the architecture of experience, both the fragility of structure and the surety of structure.

Questioner: It would seem to me that from the configuration of this male entity in Card Four—who looks to the left, and the right foot is pointed to the left—that this card would indicate that you must be in a defensive position with respect to the left-hand path, with no need to concern yourself about protection with respect to the right-hand path. Would Ra comment on that?

Ra: I am Ra. Again, this is not the suggestion we wished to offer by constructing this image. However, the perception cannot be said to be incorrect.”

In Don’s first question he is asking if the entity in Card Number Four, The Experience of the Mind, would be very carefully balanced if it stood upon the one foot that is extended to the ground in what is almost a ballet pose. First Ra uses the fact that the entity’s right leg is crossed over its perfectly balanced left leg to correspond this right angle to the T-square. This is an architect’s tool for achieving precision, and Ra further suggests that it is the nature of experience to occasionally rip us from our foundations but also, when this experience is gained, to provide us with the stability of the knowledge that can be used in all future growth. Our experiences can jolt us out of our comfort zone, but they are also carefully placed in our lives to give us chances to grow. In 95.24, Ra gave an example of how “cruel catalyst” can be used for spiritual growth:

Questioner: From that statement I interpret the following meaning: That if the Experience of the Mind has sufficiently chosen the right-hand path—as total purity is approached in choosing of the right-hand path—then total imperviousness from the effect of the left-hand catalyst is also approached. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is exquisitely perceptive. The seeker which has purely chosen the service-to-others path shall certainly not have a variant apparent incarnational experience. There is no outward shelter in your illusion from the gusts, flurries, and blizzards of quick and cruel catalyst.

However, to the pure, all that is encountered speaks of the love and the light of the One Infinite Creator. The cruelest blow is seen with an ambiance of challenges offered and opportunities to come. Thusly, the great pitch of light is held high above such an one so that all interpretation may be seen to be protected by light.

I must say that this quote from Ra seems most applicable to me now as I deal with the loss of Chloe and Dan D. Lion. That great loss does feel like a “cruel blow” for sure, but if I look at the overall picture of the process of life and death, I know that both Dan D. Lion and Chloe are now in a beautiful situation of very likely realizing their graduation into the third density because of the love and devotion we shared with each other in their lives with me. This is a common experience that Ra has described as a means for pets to become third-density entities. If I can focus upon that larger picture of their passing, it can be very inspiring whereas if I focus only upon their passing it will be a lesser experience of loss and grief. It may be that as the grieving process runs its course then, more and more, the beauty of their lives and passing will become my experience.

Don continues in his second question to ask if the entity’s right foot and head being pointed left suggests that the seeker must protect itself from the left hand path. Ra simply says that perception is not the one they had in mind when constructing this image, but the perception could not be said to be incorrect. Ra said a number of times that precision of perceptions was not the goal of the archetypical images because each seeker could derive unique meanings from the images. And that is what Don did in his second question. In 77.23, Ra reaffirmed that each student would have unique perceptions of the archetypical mind:

  Questioner: In that case, it seems that a thorough knowledge of the precise nature of these philosophical foundations would be of primary importance to the study of evolution of mind, body, and spirit, and I would like to carefully go through each of the basic twenty-one, starting with the mind, if this is agreeable with Ra.

Ra: I am Ra. This is agreeable with two requests which must be made.

Firstly, that an attempt be made to state the student’s grasp of each archetype. We may then comment. We cannot teach/learn to the extent of learn/teaching.

Secondly, we request that it be constantly kept before the mind, as the candle before the eye, that each mind/body/spirit complex shall, and should, and indeed must perceive each archetype, if you use this convenient term, in its own way.

Therefore, you may see that precision is not the goal; rather, quality of general concept complex perception is the goal.

This morning I watered the flowers in the back yard which completed the watering of the flowers that I began in the front yard last evening. I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon when we got about half an inch of rain which means I can take some time off from watering the flowers for a day or two.

“Questioner: In the fourth archetype the card shows a male whose body faces forward. I assume this indicates that the Experience of the Mind will reach for catalyst. However, the face is to the left, indicating to me that, in reaching for catalyst, negative catalyst will be more apparent in its power and effect than the positive. Would Ra comment on this?

Ra: I am Ra. The archetype of Experience of the Mind reaches not, O student, but with firm authority grasps what it is given. The remainder of your remarks are perceptive.”

Now Don is questioning on Card Number Four, the Experience of the Mind. Since the body of the figure is facing forward, Don interpreted this position to suggest that the Experience of the Mind will reach for catalyst. That suggests an active role in the processing of catalyst, and Ra said that the Experience of the Mind does not actually do any reaching for catalyst. Ra said that what it does is grasp what it is given, and that would be catalyst that has been processed by the conscious mind after that catalyst has been directed to the conscious mind by the subconscious mind. Ra even said that the Experience of the Mind grasps this processed catalyst with “firm authority” suggesting that it will record this processed catalyst and keep it close at hand for future use in the evolutionary process. In 78.37, Ra speaks about how the processing of catalyst may be accomplished:

Questioner: The fourth archetype, called the Emperor, seems to have to do with the experience of other-selves and the green-ray energy center with respect to other-selves. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is perceptive. The broad name for Archetype Four may be the Experience of the Mind. In the tarot you find the name of Emperor. Again this implies nobility, and in this case we may see the suggestion that it is only through the catalyst which has been processed by the potentiated consciousness that experience may ensue. Thusly is the conscious mind ennobled by the use of the vast resources of the unconscious mind.

Ra gave Don another one of those “perceptives” for his supposition that since the face of the figure points to the left that the catalyst that comes before its notice will be more likely to appear to be negative in its power and effect. Notice the words “appear to be negative” which suggests that even though catalyst may seem at first glance to be negative it doesn’t have to be, as any catalyst can be used by the serious seeker of truth in a positive manner. In 94.26, Ra speaks of how transformations may occur in the Experience of the Mind in direct relation to the purity of intentions in processing catalyst:

 Questioner: I’ll have to work on that.

Then I am guessing that the crossed legs of the entity in Card Four have a meaning similar to the cross of the crux ansata. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct. The cross formed by the living limbs of the image signifies that which is the nature of mind/body/spirit complexes in manifestation within your illusion. There is no experience which is not purchased by effort of some kind—no act of service to self or others which does not bear a price to the entity manifesting, commensurate with its purity.

All things in manifestation may be seen in one way or another to be offering themselves in order that transformations may take place upon the level appropriate to the action.

This morning I went to Louisville Orthopedics thinking that I would be getting a shot to relieve the pain in my right hip, but there had been a scheduling error and the shot will supposedly be tomorrow. Then I dropped off my trimmer at Anderson’s for repair as it is hard to start and quickly stops running. My last errand was to stop at the veterinarians to give them a couple of bags of cat food meant for cats like Dan D. Lion and Chloe who had renal problems. I thought they might know of someone else who could use that food. I also made an appointment to take Boscoe in Friday to have a blood test to see how his diabetes is doing.

This afternoon I did a little weeding in the Perennial Giant Hibiscus garden and then did some watering in the Azalea garden. We are supposed to get rain this evening, so I held off on any further watering.

Love Yourself

I am of the principle of the love of Christ. I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

Black despair surrounds the soul which is not at harmony with itself. The eye, turned inward, can be dismayed by the various imperfections which the eye seems to see in the self.

Yet this disparaging eye shuts the door to spirit, which awaits self-acceptance that it may shine forth from the self to the glory of the Creator and for the blessing of those about one.

Condemnation of the self is never productive when it is done to the exclusion of the reaffirmation of the love of that self which the Creator has made. Love yourself. Only then can you love your neighbor and the Creator of that love which is you.

“Questioner: It seems to me that the Experience of the Mind would act in such a way as to change the nature of the veil so that catalyst would be filtered so as to be more acceptable in the bias that is increasingly chosen by the entity. For instance, if the entity had chosen the right-hand path, the Experience of the Mind would change the permeability of the veil to accept more and more positive catalyst, and also the other would be true for accepting more negative if the left-hand path were the one that was repeatedly chosen. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is not only correct but there is a further ramification. As the entity increases in experience it shall, more and more, choose positive interpretations of catalyst if it is upon the service-to-others path, and negative interpretations of catalyst if its experience has been along the service-to-self path.”

In this question Don asked Ra if the Experience of the Mind would change the permeability of the veil to correspond to whichever choice an entity would make, either positively or negatively. Ra agreed and went even further by saying that as the seeker gains experience it would also choose positive interpretations of catalyst if it seeks to serve others, or the negative interpretations of catalyst if it wishes to be of service to itself. In 10.14, Ra talked about how the beginning of our seeking is the foundation and each effort to seek love in the moment doubles the previous effort:

This is the most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex. The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously seek that love in awareness and understanding-distortions. The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. The third seeking powers the second, the fourth powering or doubling the third. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity. However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential.

This empowering of our seeking also causes us to see the Creator more and more in our lives and in ourselves, and we are more likely to interpret our catalyst in positive ways, no matter how other people might see it. We know that love exists in every moment, so we look for it everywhere and by consciously looking for it we bring more light of truth into our seeking process as Ra suggested in 95.24:

This morning Dan D. Lion passed into larger life. He had not eaten for a number of days, and it was obvious that he was getting weaker as our last few trips around the yard together saw him occasionally stumble and seem to lose control of his right rear leg. He also quit peeing during the night which suggested his kidneys could no longer process any water. So after conferring with Diana it became clear that it was time to think of Dan D.’s quality of life. I called my vet and let her know that I felt it was time to euthanize Dan D., and she agreed. Dan D. passed into larger life at 11:10 am Eastern time.

After giving Dan D. a chance to take one last walk around the yard this morning, I sat with him on the pillow on my lap that had been our place to share my first two meditations of the day for many years. I talked to him and told him that we were connected forever by the love we had in our hearts for each other. I told him the same in my good-bye to him at the vet’s. I took along the box that Dan D. would be buried in, an L/L box that Carla’s A Book of Days: Channelings From The Holy Spirit was shipped in. I wrapped him in a blue towel that he used to sleep on when he hung out in the bathroom in the basement. When I got home I held the same funeral service for him that I had held for Chloe last week, the one that Carla had created from her Episcopal Church services, and Diana participated again via cell phone.

As I was reading The Ra Contact the other day I came upon Session 104 where Don spent nearly the whole session asking Ra how we could help our cat, Gandalf, as he was going blind. There was no solution, and finally Ra suggested that we should rejoice in Gandalf’s companionship while he was with us. And then Ra ended the session with this beautiful thought about the loss of a much-loved cat:

“We leave you in appreciation of the circumstances of the great illusion in which you now choose to play the pipe and timbrel and move in rhythm. We are also players upon a stage. The stage changes. The acts ring down. The lights come up once again. And throughout the grand illusion, and the following, and the following, there is the undergirding majesty of the One Infinite Creator. All is well. Nothing is lost. Go forth rejoicing in the love and the light, the peace and the power of the One Infinite Creator.”

I will certainly miss Dan D. Lion and Chloe, but I will always have the greatest memories of them and the love that we shared on a constant basis. None of that shall ever be lost.

Where Is Freedom?

I am the presence of Jesus the Christ in the world today. I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

This is the day of American freedom, the day of flags and celebrations. As you look around you, behind the smiles of celebration lie great discords and this you see: discord between man and self, between man and man, between mates, between parents and children, and between nation and nation.

You may then think to yourself that freedom is not full. Yet we say to you that you are free, that your freedom is in Christ and that you have the freedom to extend hands of divine love, peace and unity, eyes that smile with consolation and pardon. You have the spirit that makes the broken whole.

You need only ask, for the spirit of Christ is with you all, and its peace embraces all, both now and evermore. Amen.

“Questioner: I have drawn a small diagram in which I simply show an arrow which represents catalyst penetrating a line at right angles to the arrow, which is the veil, and then depositing in one of two repositories: one which I would call on the right-hand path, one on the left-hand path. And I have labeled these two repositories for the catalytic action as it’s filtered through the veil “the Experience.” Would this be a very rough analogy of the way the catalyst is filtered through the veil to become experience?

Ra: I am Ra. Again, you are partially correct. The deeper biases of a mind/body/spirit complex pilot the catalyst around the many isles of positivity and negativity as expressed in the archipelago of the deeper mind. However, the analogy is incorrect in that it does not take into account the further polarization which most certainly is available to the conscious mind after it has perceived the partially polarized catalyst from the deeper mind.”

In this question Don wants to know if his diagram of catalyst passing through the veil of forgetting and depositing as experience in either the positive or the negative sense is correct. Ra suggests that Don is partially correct. Ra suggests that the deeper biases of the seeker are expressed by “the archipelago of the deeper mind.” These areas will be given priority, shall I say, in assessing incoming catalyst. The archipelago, or islands, in the deep mind contain these biased opportunities for catalyst to be presented to the conscious mind, so that there is more chance that desired lessons will be learned. These lessons are very likely pre-incarnatively chosen. In 93.20, Ra alluded to this same process:

Questioner: I was just wondering if the transparency of the garment on the third card indicates the semi-permeable nature of the veil between conscious and subconscious?

Ra: I am Ra. This is a thoughtful perception and cannot be said to be incorrect. However, the intended suggestion, in general, is an echo of our earlier suggestion that the nature of catalyst is that of the unconscious; that is, outward catalyst comes through the veil.

All that you perceive seems to be consciously perceived. This is not the correct supposition. All that you perceive is perceived as catalyst unconsciously. By the, shall we say, time that the mind begins its appreciation of catalyst, that catalyst has been filtered through the veil, and in some cases much is veiled in the most apparently clear perception.

Today was another Sabbath Day of Rest, and overnight we received a blessing of one-half of an inch of rain that removed any need to water my gardens for a couple of days. In the morning I practiced my talk that I will give in two weeks to the IONS group in Richmond, Virginia. After lunch I ran my errands with my first stop at Walmart to buy some Deer Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent that my neighbor says is working very well for her. Then I stopped in at Feeder’s Supply to buy four cases of cat food for the cats upstairs. My last stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store where I picked up a prescription and some non-food items for myself.

Dan D. Lion and I enjoyed another night of sleep together in which he used the litter box on the bed once, and I slept so well that I didn’t hear the fireworks that were set off at the Owl Creek Country Club here in Anchorage at 10 pm. Dan D. and I took a few walks outside today that revealed that he is still having a problem with his right rear leg that seems to give out on him from time to time. He is still not eating, and when I gave him an appetite enhancer it caused foaming in his mouth. His eyes are somewhat sunken now, and that seems to be a feature of end stage renal failure in cats. He still likes to sit in my lap when I meditate and even goes to sleep there. My main concern now is to keep him as comfortable as possible for his remaining time on Earth.

The Strength Of Waiting

I am of the principle of the love of Jesus Christ, that perfect love which is the love of creation. Still, I come forth from the Christ principle to be the agent of the consciousness of love.

Those who seek hastily and fervently for us may not find us, for we come to those who rest in the strength of waiting and expectancy of hope and quietness toward our presence.

Though we are a fair portion of each situation and each excursion into illusion, to be efficacious in joining our spirit to human will, you must wait for spirit and ask spirit to enter. Thus it is in quietness that the spirit comes and speaks to one who wills to hear that soft voice which may create and transform the outer circumstances.

For the inner experience of grace allows one to see for the first time the outer circumstance with the lines of spirit drawn in the pencil of love, so that the way of inner spirit to outer manifestation of created love becomes clear.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 94.10:

“Questioner: From the previous session the statement was made that much is veiled to the most apparently clear observation. Would Ra expand on what was meant by that statement? I assume that this means the veiling of all of that that is outside the limits of what we call our physical perception having to do with the spectrum of light, etc., but I also intuit there is more than that veiled. Would Ra expand on that concept?

Ra: I am Ra. You are perceptive in your supposition. Indeed, we meant not any suggestions that the physical apparatus of your current illusion were limited as part of the veiling process. Your physical limits are as they are.

However, because of the unique biases of each mind/body/spirit complex, there are sometimes quite simple instances of distortion when there is no apparent cause for such distortion. Let us use the example of the virile and immature male who meets and speaks clearly with a young female whose physical form has the appropriate configuration to cause, for this male entity, the activation of the red-ray sexual arousal.

The words spoken may be upon a simple subject such as naming, information as to the occupation, and various other common interchanges of sound vibratory complex. The male entity, however, is using almost all the available consciousness it possesses in registering the desirability of the female. Such may also be true of the female.

Thusly an entire exchange of information may be meaningless because the actual catalyst is of the body. This is unconsciously controlled and is not a conscious decision. This example is simplistic.”

In this question Don is asking Ra about a statement in the previous session that Ra made that suggested that much was veiled in “apparently clear observations.” Don asked how this occurs. Ra replies that since each of us is a complex being with motives and desires that are not only unclear to others but perhaps also unclear to ourselves. Our interactions with others can be misleading to everyone concerned. When you combine this fact with how differently each of us may perceive the same catalyst due to pre-incarnative choices of lessons, it is not surprising that misunderstandings occur quite frequently between people. In 54.7, Ra gave the basic value of misunderstandings:

Questioner: Now, I have made these statements just to get to the basic question I wish to ask. It is a difficult question to ask.

We have, coming from the sub-Logos we call our sun, intelligent energy, which then forms—and we’ll take as an example a single sub-sub-Logos which is a mind/body/spirit complex. This intelligent energy is somehow modulated or distorted, so that it ends up as a mind/body/spirit complex with certain distortions of personality that it is necessary for the mind/body/spirit complex, or the mental portion of that complex, to undistort in order to conform once more precisely with the original intelligent energy.

First, I want to know if my statement on that is correct. And, secondly, I want to know why this is the way that it is; if there is any answer other than the first distortion of the Law of One for this?

Ra: I am Ra. This statement is substantially correct. If you will penetrate the nature of the First Distortion in its application of self knowing self, you may begin to distinguish the hallmark of an infinite creator: variety. Were there no potentials for misunderstanding and, therefore, understanding, there would be no experience.

Then Ra used the example of young male and female entities who meet and discover that they have a sexual attraction to each other. Since this is catalyst of the body they may talk about various topics like their names, where they are from, their jobs and so forth, and they may stay within the mind complex for all of these interactions which are actually coming from the subconscious mind. Thus their conscious interactions are meaningless. In 95.19, Ra gave used this same red-ray attraction before the veil to demonstrate the difference in producing catalyst of the body in the post veil situation:

Questioner: Thank you. In the last session you made a statement about the immature male meeting the female with respect to what occurred because of the veil: that the information exchange was quite different. Would you give an example of the information exchange prior to the veil for this same case, please?

Ra: I am Ra. Given this same case—that is, the random red-ray sexual arousal being activated in both male and female—the communication would far more likely have been to the subject of the satisfying of that red-ray, sexual impulse. When this had occurred other information such as the naming could be offered with clear perception.

It is to be noted that the catalyst which may be processed by the pre-veil experience is insignificant compared to the catalyst offered to the thoroughly bemused male and female after the veil. The confusion which this situation, simplistic though it is, offers is representative of the efficiency of the enlargement of the catalytic processes occurring after the veiling.

This morning I got the small forsythia bushes on my north and south boundaries watered. I also watered a good deal of the rest of the back yard gardens: the azaleas, the astilbe, the ferns, and the hosta in two locations. In the afternoon I used my hake (shaped like a hoe but with tines like a rake) to cultivate the two mounds in the front yard and the flowers along the parking area in the front of the house.

For the last two nights Dan D. Lion has slept with me in my bed and even on top of me like Chloe used to. Last night I put a litter box on the far corner of the bed so he could use it without having to pee in the bed. So whereas Chloe was my cuddle bug, Dan D. is now my cuddle buddy. We took three walks around the yard today, and he seemed to have more energy than he did yesterday which allowed us to cover more ground than yesterday. I also bought new tuna and salmon which Dan D. ate a little of, but I can see that he is still getting weaker and unable to jump up as well as he could last week. He needs a little help to get into my lap when I meditate.

The Good And Bad Wood

I come in the name of Jesus the Christ—I, the spirit of the living Christ in the world today. I greet you in the inestimable and eternal love of the Father.

When the axeman hews the tree, he treats it carefully. He sees the good wood and the bad. He sees the wood that shall make lumber and the wood that shall make kindling. He has a perspective upon this tree that he could never have had as he gazed upon it as a living being, for he has moved that living being, deadened it, and claimed it for his own use.

Only through the hands of spirit can such sacrifice be recovered, renewed and recreated. Consider well, my children, the lesson of the tree. Use what you need. For truly this is the way of your life. But give back that which your earth needs. Give back that which your peoples need, that the Holy Spirit, through each of you, may renew the face of the Earth.

“Questioner: Thank you. I really didn’t mean to go over previous material. I should have phrased my question more carefully so that . . . that is what I expected. I was trying to get confirmation of the fact that I suspected that. I will be more careful in questioning from now on.

From the instrument we have the question: “While vacationing I uncovered a lot about myself not consciously known before. It seems to me that I coast on the spiritual gifts given at birth and never have spent any time getting to know my human self which seems to be a child, immature and irrational. Is this so?”

Ra: I am Ra. This is partially correct.

Questioner: Then she says: “If this is so, this seems to be part of the riddle about the manner of beingness that Ra spoke of. I fear if I do not work successfully on my human distortions I shall be responsible for losing the contact. Yet also Ra suggests the over-dedication to any outcome is unwise. Could Ra comment on these thoughts?”

Ra: I am Ra. We comment in general, first upon the query about the contact which indicates, once again, that the instrument views the mind/body/spirit complex with jaundiced eye.

Each mind/body/spirit complex that is seeking shall almost certainly have the immature and irrational behaviors. It is also the case that this entity—as well as almost all seekers—has done substantial work within the framework of the incarnative experience and has, indeed, developed maturity and rationality. That this instrument should fail to see that which has been accomplished and see only that which remains to be accomplished may well be noted. Indeed, any seeker discovering in itself this complex of mental and mental/emotional distortions shall ponder the possible non-efficacy of judgment.

As we approach the second portion of the query we view the possibility of infringement upon free will. However, we believe we may make reply within the boundaries of the Law of Confusion.

This particular instrument was not trained, nor did it study, nor worked it at any discipline in order to contact Ra. We were able, as we have said many times, to contact this group using this instrument because of the purity of this instrument’s dedication to the service of the One Infinite Creator, and also because of the great amount of harmony and acceptance enjoyed each by each within the group; this situation making it possible for the support group to function without significant distortion.

We are humble messengers. How can any thought be taken by an instrument as to the will of the Creator?

We thank this group that we may speak through it, but the future is mazed. We cannot know whether our geste may, after one final working, be complete.

Can the instrument, then, think for a moment that it shall cease in the service of the One Infinite Creator? We ask the instrument to ponder these queries and observations.”

In 92.35, Ra responded to Don’s query concerning the condition of the instrument by mentioning that there was a slight loss of vital energies. This loss of vital energies was due to Carla’s use of her will to call upon these energies in order to have a session with Ra. Then Ra gave Carla a riddle: “There is the need for the instrument to choose the manner of its beingness. It has the distortion, as we have noted, towards the martyrdom. This can be evaluated and choices made only by the entity.” In the month and a half between Session #92 and #94 Carla and I went on vacation to the beach at Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. While there she felt that she had discovered a tendency for her to coast on her spiritual gifts and be childish and immature as an adult. When Ra said that was partially correct, then Carla asked what she could do to correct her human failings without being dedicated to an outcome. She felt that she might be responsible for losing the Ra contact if she kept calling upon her vital energies to do Ra sessions. In 84.4, Carla asked Ra to explain more about how her distortions towards martyrdom was best utilized on her spiritual journey:

Questioner: The instrument asked the following question: “Ra has implied that the instrument is on a path of martyrdom, but since all die are we not all martyr to something? When, if ever, does martyrdom partake of wisdom?”

Ra: I am Ra. This is a thoughtful query. Let us use as exemplar the one known as Jehoshua. This entity incarnated with the plan of martyrdom. There is no wisdom in this plan, but rather understanding and compassion extended to its fullest perfection.

The one known as Jehoshua would have been less-than-fully understanding of its course had it chosen to follow its will at any space/time during its teachings. Several times, as you call this measure, this entity had the possibility of moving towards the martyr’s place which was, for that martyr, Jerusalem. Yet in meditation this entity stated, time and again, “It is not yet the hour.”

The entity could also have, when the hour came, walked another path. Its incarnation would then have been prolonged but the path for which it incarnated somewhat confused. Thusly, one may observe the greatest amount of understanding, of which this entity was indeed capable, taking place as the entity in meditation felt, and knew, that the hour had come for that to be fulfilled which was its incarnation.

It is indeed so that all mind/body/spirit complexes shall die to the third-density illusion; that is, that each yellow-ray physical-complex body shall cease to be viable. It is a misnomer to, for this reason alone, call each mind/body/spirit complex a martyr, for this term is reserved for those who lay down their lives for the service they may provide to others.

We may encourage meditation upon the functions of the will.

Then Ra kind of scolded Carla for judging herself harshly as all seekers have weaknesses and strengths. Ra said that it was significant that she had only focused on her failures and not also upon her strengths of maturity and rationality. Ra completed the answer by suggesting that judgment was not helpful to any spiritual seeker. That is hard advice to take for a serious spiritual seeker because each of us wants to do our best to seek the Creator, to serve the Creator in all, and to love all with a whole heart. But it is a sign of spiritual maturity for seekers to refuse to judge the self, or other selves, and simply see everyone as the Creator knowing Itself with the desire to know the self/Self more completely. Eventually Carla was able to see herself as worthy of her own love without the need to judge herself for any seeming faults. In 5.2, Ra gave the basic information that removes judgment from the seeker’s path:

To begin to master the concept of mental discipline it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

The second mental discipline is acceptance of the completeness within your consciousness. It is not for a being of polarity in the physical consciousness to pick and choose among attributes, thus building the roles that cause blockages and confusions in the already-distorted mind complex. Each acceptance smooths part of the many distortions that the faculty you call judgment engenders.

Ra also described the basic qualities that Carla and our group possessed that allowed Ra to contact our group as the “purity of this instrument’s dedication to the service of the One Infinite Creator, and also because of the great amount of harmony and acceptance enjoyed each by each within the group.” In 100.15, Ra emphasized the importance of harmony in our group:

Questioner: I will save that for next session, and I will ask if there is anything we can do to make the instrument more comfortable or improve the contact?

Ra: I am Ra. All is well. The appurtenances are most conscientiously placed. We thank this diligent group. There is much greater distortion towards harmony at this asking, and we join you in praise and thanksgiving. This is always the greatest boon to improvement of the contact, for it is the harmony of the group which supports this contact.

I am Ra. I leave you in the love and the light of the One. Go forth, therefore, rejoicing in the power and in the peace of the One Infinite Creator. Adonai.

This morning I took Dan D. Lion for our usual walk around the yard, and for the first walk he did his usual movements around various portions of the yard. On our second walk this morning he was much more sedentary and moved around very little. I didn’t take this as a good sign for Dan D., but it did give me a chance to get some watering done in the front yard as we are once again hot and dry. On our first walk in the afternoon Dan D. once again remained in two different positions which gave me a chance to water various plantings in the back yard. I also noticed a few times during the day that Dan D. is less stable walking and has pretty well lost his ability to jump up although he can still jump down. He also continues not to eat even after I gave him an appetite stimulant. However, he is drinking plenty of water and is peeing.

The Liquor Of Righteousness

I am of the principle of Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

Know ye that the spirit is everywhere to be found: in every raindrop, in every birdsong, in every mote of dust under your feet, and in every speck of sky overhead. There is that within you which drinks in this excellent liquor of righteousness and much light passes between the universe outside of you and the universe within.

When the seeker faces the universe as a part of the universe and moves so as to treasure dust and sky, bird and rose, the spirit is encouraged and strengthened and the bond between humankind and nature grows more into the unity that it should enjoy.

We encourage the finding of joy and laughter in the natural world about, for it is full of the Creator’s spirit.

“Questioner: Could you tell me why I have felt so extremely tired on several recent occasions?

Ra: I am Ra. This has been covered in previous material.

The contact which you now experience costs a certain amount of the energy which each of the group brought into manifestation in the present incarnation. Although the brunt of this cost falls upon the instrument, it is caparisoned by pre-incarnative design with the light and gladsome armor of faith and will to a far more conscious extent than most mind/body/spirit complexes are able to enjoy without much training and initiation.

Those of the support group also offer the essence of will and faith in service to others, supporting the instrument as it releases itself completely in the service of the One Creator. Therefore, each of the support group also experiences a weariness of the spirit which is indistinguishable from physical energy deficit, except that if each experiments with this weariness, each shall discover the physical energy in its usual distortion.”

Don asked the simple question as to why he had been feeling so tired recently. Ra had previously spoken to Carla’s feeling so tired because of her taking on some of the characteristics of the density of light where she would be resting as Ra used her body to respond to Don’s questions. As she took on more of the light of that fifth density, this third-density illusion felt “heavier” to her, and she felt tired. Ra said that this effect was cumulative but did not actually involve the physical energy. If we used our physical energy it would still be there, but we would feel tired. In 81.2-.7, Ra first gave us information about this wearying effect that was part of the Ra contact:

Questioner: Is this the reason for the instrument’s feeling of uninterrupted weariness?

Ra: I am Ra. There are portions of your space/time in which this may be said to be symptomatic of the psychic greeting reaction. However, the continual weariness is not due to psychic greeting but is, rather, an inevitable consequence of this contact.

Questioner: Why is this an inevitable consequence? What is the mechanism of contact creating weariness?

Ra: I am Ra. The mechanism creating weariness is that connection betwixt the density wherein this instrument’s mind/body/spirit complex is safely kept during these workings, and the altogether variant density in which the instrument’s physical body complex resides at this space/time. As the instrument takes on more of the coloration of the resting density, the third-density experience seems more heavy and wearisome.

This was accepted by the instrument, as it desired to be of service. Therefore, we accept also this effect about which nothing of which we are aware may be done.

Questioner: Is the effect a function of the number of sessions, and has it reached a peak level, or will it continue to increase in effect?

Ra: I am Ra. This wearying effect will continue but should not be confused with the physical energy levels having only to do with the, as you would call it, daily round of experience.

In this sphere those things which are known already to aid this instrument will continue to be of aid. You will, however, notice the gradual increase in transparency, shall we say, of the vibrations of the instrument.

Questioner: I didn’t understand what you meant by that last statement. Would you explain?

Ra: I am Ra. Weariness of the time/space nature may be seen to be that reaction of transparent or pure vibrations with impure, confused, or opaque environs.

Questioner: Is there any of this effect upon the other two of us in this group?

Ra: I am Ra. This is quite correct.

Questioner: Then we would also experience the uninterrupted wearying effect as a consequence of the contact. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. The instrument, by the very nature of the contact, bears the brunt of this effect.

Each of the support group, by offering the love and the light of the One Infinite Creator in unqualified support in these workings, and in energy transfers for the purpose of these workings, experiences between 10 and 15 percent, roughly, of this effect. It is cumulative and identical in the continual nature of its manifestation.

Ra added that, though Don and I would also experience some of this wearying effect, Carla bore the brunt of it, but she had been able to adjust to it by exercising her faith and will that all was well and that all would be well. In fact, Ra said that she had adjusted far better than many who had extensive training and initiation. Carla had no training or initiation. She just seemed to have a gift that she brought with her into this life to do this work. In 81.8, Ra responded to Don’s question of what the outcome for our group might be concerning this wearying effect:

Questioner: What could be the result of this continued wearying effect after a long period?

Ra: I am Ra. You ask a general query with infinite answers. We shall over-generalize in order to attempt to reply.

One group might be tempted and thus lose the very contact which caused the difficulty. So the story would end.

Another group might be strong at first but not faithful in the face of difficulty. Thus the story would end.

Another group might choose the path of martyrdom in its completeness and use the instrument until its physical body complex failed from the harsh toll demanded when all energy was gone.

This particular group, at this particular nexus, is attempting to conserve the vital energy of the instrument. It is attempting to balance love of service and wisdom of service, and it is faithful to the service in the face of difficulty. Temptation has not yet ended this group’s story.

We may not know the future, but the probability of this situation continuing over a relatively substantial period of your space/time is large. The significant factor is the will of the instrument and of the group to serve. That is the only cause for balancing the slowly increasing weariness which will continue to distort your perceptions. Without this will the contact might be possible but finally seem too much of an effort.

For a number of years after the Ra contact both Carla and I felt this wearying feeling, but we didn’t let it stop us from being as physically active as we wanted to be. After 40 years now I’ve just gotten used to it and really don’t notice it much. It’s just one of those little curiosities that got mixed in with the magic and the mystery of the Ra Contact.

Chloe passed into larger life this morning shortly after 4 am. She had slept the night beside me in my bed as she always has done these past few years. We went to bed around 9:30 last night and about an hour later I was awakened when I felt one of her front paws caressing my back as I lay on my right side. She usually slept on my left hip through the night which caused me to give her the name of my cuddle bug. But she was too weak to do that last night, so she caressed me instead.

After I got up around 3:15 and prepared to have my first meditation of the day, I noticed that she had slumped off of the pillow I had laid her on these last few days. She seemed to have lost control of her body. As I came over to the bed to see how she was doing I brought her body off the pillow and laid it on the bed and began petting her to let her know how much I loved her. She began to release a series of deep breaths almost as a kind of cough. I remembered that Carla did the same as she passed into larger life seven years ago. I continued to pet her and tell her how our love for each other would forever bind us as one. I thanked her for being with me for 16 and one-half years and for all the good times that we had together.

I wrapped her body in the yellow towel that I had put on top of a pillow that she has spent a good deal of time on these last few days, and then I put her in a box that was used to ship Carla’s Living the Law of One 101: The Choice. I always bury my kitties in L/L Research book boxes. Diana joined me via cell phone for Choe’s funeral service. We read a service for pets that Carla had created from her Episcopal Church services. Chloe and I enjoyed 16 and one-half years together, and I will miss her as much as I love her. I told her that we are bound together forever by the love in our hearts for each other, and I believe that is true.

The Natural Darkness Of Flesh

I am the voice of Christ’s consciousness of love to the world and I greet you in the love of Jesus the Christ.

This instrument has long pondered why there is discomfort to the instrument when the instrument begins to tune itself and prepare for contact with the spirit of the living God. Know ye that you are both light and darkness. As it has been written, the light came into the world, but the darkness knew it not.

One who seeks the living spirit that speaks to the world today seeks the light which the world recognizes not, nor does the body in the natural darkness of flesh.

Thusly, when the mind and spirit are entrained to a higher and more compassionate tuning, there is created within the being a unity in which one part does not recognize the other. The light does not recognize the darkness, nor the darkness, the light.

Know that you are both and that your choice is always the darkness of a world which has not thought of Christ or the light which is the powerful and renewing thought of Christ in the world.

“Questioner: I have questions here from the instrument. One: “Is our fifth-density friend responsible for the instrument’s extreme distortion towards pain during and just after sessions?”

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

Questioner: Is there anything that we can do that we are not doing to remedy this situation so that the instrument does not experience this pain or as much of it?

Ra: I am Ra. There is little that can be done due to a complex of pre-existing distortions. The distortions are triple in the source:

There is the, shall we say, less-than-adequate work of your chirurgeons which allows for various distortions in the left wrist area.

There is the distortion called systemic lupus erythematosus which causes the musculature of the lower left and right arms to allow for distortions in the normal, shall we say, configuration of both.

Lastly, there is the nerve damage, more especially to the left, but in both appendages from the thoracic outlet.

In the course of the waking behavior the instrument can respond to the various signals which ring the tocsin of pain, thus alerting the mind complex, which in turn moves the physical complex in many and subtle configurations which relieve the various distortions. Your friend greets these distortions, as has been stated before, immediately prior to the beginning of the working.

However, during the working the instrument is not with its yellow-ray chemical vehicle, and thusly the many small movements which could most effectively aid in the decrease of these distortions is not possible. Ra must carefully examine the mental configurations of the mind complex in order to make even the grossest manipulation. It is not our skill to use a yellow-ray vehicle.

The weight of the cover has some deleterious effect upon these distortions in some cases, and thus we mentioned that there was a small thing which could be done; that is, the framing of that which lifted the coverlet from the body slightly. In order to compensate for loss of warmth the wearing of material warming the manual appendages would then be indicated.”

In the first question Ra told us what we had suspected, and that was that our fifth-density friend of negative polarity was attempting to stop the Ra contact by causing Carla to experience great pain before and after sessions. Don asked what we could do about this situation so Carla didn’t have to bear so much pain. Ra said there was little that we could do, and then they described the three sources of the pain that Carla was experiencing. The first item Ra mentioned was the “less than adequate work of your chirugeons.” This refers to surgery that Carla had on her left wrist for the purpose of rebuilding the wrist. Her surgeon felt this was necessary because years of arthritis at this location had caused the wrist to become unstable. However, according to Ra, the work that the surgeon did was subpar in that it caused what Carla described as “bone-on-bone contact,” which is a very painful condition. Our negative friend was able to intensify that pain as the arthritis was a pre-incarnative choice and, therefore acceptable for magical magnification since it was a free will choice that Carla made. In 67.2, Ra gave the basic principle of a “weakness” demonstrated by Carla as providing targets of opportunity for psychic greetings to become available for our negative friends:

Questioner: Can you describe what you call the psychic attack component and tell me why it is strong at this particular time?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall elect not to retrace previously given information but, rather, elect to note that the psychic attack upon this instrument is at a constant level as long as it continues in this particular service.

Variations towards the distortion of intensity of attack occur due to the opportunities presented by the entity in any weakness. At this particular nexus the entity has been dealing with the distortion which you call pain for some time, as you call this measurement, and this has a cumulatively weakening effect upon physical energy levels. This creates a particularly favorable target of opportunity, and the entity of which we have previously spoken has taken this opportunity to attempt to be of service in its own way.

It is fortunate for the ongoing vitality of this contact that the instrument is a strong-willed entity with little tendency towards the distortion called among your peoples, hysteria, since the dizzying effects of this attack have been constant and at times disruptive for several of your diurnal periods.

However, this particular entity is adapting well to the situation without undue distortions towards fear. Thus the psychic attack is not successful but does have some draining influence upon the instrument.

The second problem was systemic lupus erythematosus which is defined as: “an autoimmune disease. In this disease the immune system of the body mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. It can affect the skin, joint, kidneys, brain, and other organs.” According to Ra, Carla’s lower left and right arms had been deformed by lupus. I believe that the major damage was done to her wrists and the many bones that are located there were not in the proper alignment with each other. In 104.2, Ra suggested that physical exercise could aid problems caused by lupus:

The yellow-ray, physical body has been experiencing that which is called lupoid changes in much tissue of muscle and some of the organs as well. The exercise regains the wasting physical muscular strength. In some ways the walking is the more appropriate exercise due to the proximity of the entity to second-density creatures, particularly your trees.

The third problem area that provided a target of opportunity for our negative friend was thoracic outlet syndrome on both sides of her body which is defined as “symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) neck shoulder, and arm pain. Numbness in the arm, hand or fingers. Impaired circulation to the extremities causing discoloration.” Ra continued with their answer by saying that when Carla was awake she could respond to the pain of these diseases by moving around and changing the position of the part of the body that was experiencing the pain. But when she was in trance, and out of her body, the pain had a chance to build and build until pain flares would occur which could momentarily garble the contact with Ra. In 89.23, Ra reminded us that pain flares could cause distortions in the information Ra channeled through Carla.

We would note at this time that the instrument is having almost continuous pain flares. Therefore, we ask that each of the support group be especially aware of any misinformation in order that we may correct any distortions of information the soonest possible.

So our negative friend would greet Carla with an intensification of her pain level before and after sessions to remind Carla that she would have to pay a painful price if she wanted to continue as a channel for Ra. I am sure that our friend discovered that no pain was great enough to keep Carla from serving the One Infinite Creator by being a channel for those of Ra. When there were pain flares that were strong enough and long enough to jeopardize the current contact with Ra, Ra would “examine the mental configurations of the mind complex” to attempt to reposition Carla’s arms or hands so that the pain flare would dissipate, and the contact could continue. In 93.7, Ra once again had to attempt to reposition Carla’s left hand:

Questioner: With the third tarot card we come to the first addition of archetypes after the veiling process, as I understand it. And I am assuming that this third archetype is, shall I say, loaded in a way so as to create, if possible, polarization, since that seems to be one of the primary objectives of this particular Logos in the evolutionary process. Am I in any way correct on this?

Ra: I am Ra. Before we reply to your query we ask your patience as we must needs examine the mind complex of this instrument in order that we might attempt to move the left manual appendage of the instrument. If we are not able to effect some relief from pain we shall take our leave. Please have patience while we do that which is appropriate.

[Thirty-second pause.]

I am Ra. There will continue to be pain flares. However, the critical portion of the intense pain has been alleviated by repositioning.

Your supposition is correct.

The one suggestion that Ra did have for reducing some of this pain was to take the weight of the bedspread off of Carla’s hands and arms. We did this by using dryer vent tubing that was large enough to put Carla’s arms through, and this tubing kept the weight of the bedspread off of her hands and arms. Then she wore gloves to keep her hands warm.

Today I have been spending more than the usual time with Chloe as she has not been peeing or drinking much water. She is also not moving around the house at all like she did yesterday. The vet said that there would be good days and bad days for her, and we would have to determine when there were more bad than good and then consider how best to help Chloe. I did take Dan D. Lion out for a couple of walks around the yard as he is still active but also is not eating.

Healing Unwellness

I am of the principle of the spirit of the love of Christ. I greet you in the holy name of Jesus the Christ.

Put your hand in front of your face. See the solidity, the careful architecture of its bones and tendons, its sinews, and the delicate covering which sheaths the mighty machine that can do so many, many things.

Gaze at the perfection of the weight-bearing feet which are constructed in such a way that all of the weight of a very large physical body may rest comfortably. And with healthy strides, distance may be eaten up.

Consider the grand and perfect functioning of each and every portion of your physical body and see the beauty of its design. And each time that you may feel the symptom of unwellness of any kind, recall that feeling of honor and pride in the perfection of the design of this body of yours and know that in each cell that perfection vibrates.

So, thinking upon the word of the Lord, Jesus Christ, remember the perfection of all things and allow the releasing of that which binds you to your unwellness.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 93.24:

“Questioner: I am assuming that you mean one full question, and I’ll make that question: I’d like to know the significance of the shape of the crux ansata, and if that’s too much of an answer I will just ask if there is anything we can do to make the instrument more comfortable or improve the contact?

Ra: I am Ra. There are mathematical ratios within this image which may yield informative insights to one fond of riddles. We shall not untangle the riddle.

We may indicate that the crux ansata is a part of the concept complexes of the archetypical mind: the circle indicating the magic of the spirit; the cross indicating that nature of manifestation which may only be valued by the losing. Thus the crux ansata is intended to be seen as an image of the eternal in and through manifestation, and beyond manifestation, through the sacrifice and transformation of that which is manifest.

The support group functions well. The swirling waters experienced by the instrument since our previous working have substantially aided the instrument in its lessening of the distortion of pain.

All is well. The alignments are well guarded.

We leave you, my friends, in the love and the light of the Infinite One. Go forth, therefore, rejoicing in the power and in the peace of the One Infinite and Glorious Creator. Adonai.”

By this time in the Ra contact we had seen the crux ansata in a number of places on the tarot cards, and now Don decides to ask what the significance of the shape of the crux ansata is. The literal meaning of the word is “cross with a handle,” with the handle being the loop on top. Ra begins the answer by suggesting that the shape contains certain mathematical ratios that offer a coded revelation of “informative insights.” Of course, Ra refuses to work the riddle as that is up to the seeker of truth to do. However, in 96.21, Ra gave us a little more of a hint as to the nature of this riddle:

We did not complete our statement upon the dimensions of the crux ansata. It is given in many places. There are decisions to be made as to which drawing of this image is the appropriate one. We may, of course, suggest viewing the so-called Great Pyramid if the puzzle is desired. We do not wish to work this puzzle. It was designed in order that in its own time it be deciphered. In general, of course, this image has the meaning previously stated.

Ra then explains that the circle or loop on the top signifies the magic of the spirit which can utilize the sacrifice that all of the manifestations in third density make to teach us lessons. So many
“things” that exist in our illusion have the capacity to teach us important lessons by sacrificing themselves for our learning. Ra gives an example of this in 26.36 when they say:

Why then be concerned with the grass that blooms, withers and dies in its season only to grow once again due to the infinite love and light of the One Creator? This is the message we bring. Each entity is only superficially that which blooms and dies.  In the deeper sense there is no end to beingness.

When Ra said that “The alignments are well guarded.” They were referring to our line of questioning which needed to be within their narrow band of focusing our questions on spiritual topics such as the evolution of our minds, bodies, and spirits. It took us a while to figure out this code that Ra used to maintain our free will to determine the direction of questioning, but in 77.25 they referred to this code as we had figured it out quite a bit earlier in the contact:

The physical appurtenance called the censer was just a degree off, this having no deeper meaning. We do ask, for reasons having to do with the physical comfort of the instrument, that you continue in your careful efforts at alignment. You are conscientious. All is well.

Today I had very little actual outside work to do as the inch and a half of rain that we got two nights ago has removed all need to water my flower gardens for a few days. However, I did attempt to remove a great number of grape vines from my four large Burning bushes behind the fish pond. That proved impossible as there were just too many, so I used my limb loppers to cut the base of the vines at ground level. The grape vine leaves will eventually die and fall off, and the dead vines will also be much easier to pull off from the base then.

Dan D. Lion and I took a few more walks together in the yard which we both enjoyed. I have had to increase his doses of lactulose as he has not produced any stools in the last three days. He has also begun eating a little tuna as has Chloe. Chloe has been roaming the house today which I am pleased to see as I believe that the exercise is good for her. I have had her in my lap a couple of times while I work on the computer, so I believe that she and Dan D. are still enjoying being alive and are not yet too uncomfortable.

Turn To The Creation

I am of the spirit of the love of Jesus Christ and I greet you in the consciousness of love.

The faith of many has been destroyed by dependence upon the outer reality. The outer reality is as a room which no one may clean and no mop may scour. The eye of man sees many broken things in the outer world and loses heart. Yet before the spirit can flow through a life, first the heart must be turned to hope.

If hope cannot be found in outer things, then perhaps words have failed and it is time for the seeker to turn in the direction of the creation to observe those things in the creation which man has not broken or crippled. The song of the bird, the movement of the breeze, and the beauty of sunsets and sunrises still express and manifest the glory and wonder of a perfect creation. When words fail, turn to those things which know not how to avoid manifesting the full consciousness of love.
