    Hello Raz Smile

Thank you for a nice post. The idea of the 'block universe' is something that I find appealing at one level of my being. However, at another level, it does not seem to accord with the paradigm of existential reality on this plane and with the concept of free will, as well, given my subjective understandings of them all.

However, the concept of the 'eternal now', as described in the article that you posted, brought to the fore the following from the LOO.

Quote:13.12 Questioner: Could you tell me how intelligent infinity became, shall we say (I’m having difficulty with some of the language), how intelligent infinity became individualized from itself?

Ra: I am Ra. This is an appropriate question.

The intelligent infinity discerned a concept. This concept was discerned due to freedom of will of awareness. This concept was finity. This was the first and primal paradox or distortion of the Law of One. Thus the one intelligent infinity invested itself in an exploration of many-ness. Due to the infinite possibilities of intelligent infinity there is no ending to many-ness. The exploration, thus, is free to continue infinitely in an eternal present.

Indeed when I daydream or dream I am at another time. If time really exists.
I can project into the future or past by imagining.

That is quite an interesting observation, GW. Nice thought-experiment there.

If the title says one thing and the thread posts reflect other disconnected areas, then it can leave people who click on the thread, after seeing the title, with some disorientation due to the lack of any robust connection between the topics posted and the title. I am able to see that now.

If many others, too, feel the same, then I will seek the permission of the moderators to change the title of the thread into something more appropriate. Thank you.

i'm used to the title. i like it. & how many of the 3000+ posts in this thread have to do with the mysterious nature of time? a lot i bet.

maybe you should change it to something like, 'The mysterious nature of time...& more!'? idk. i doubt AngelofDeath was out to create change...so my vote is that you should just keep doing what you're doing...(unless of course many people voice in & say they'd like a title change or the change that AngelofDeath recommended in the post previous to this one.)

It is a good suggestion. However, it looks from the feedback so far, though quite limited, that the name of the thread has been accepted despite the often variant contents. Thank you, anyway, for flagging up the issue. Smile

    Thank you, Parsons.

The thread started with the intent to examine the nature of time, but soon veered into multiple trajectories. Moreover, it has served as a tool to further my seeking.

However, in terms of growth through seeking over a period of time, the title of the thread may still be apt in the context of the below quote
Quote:100.11 Questioner: The entities— the small black— or russet— and white entities have been now changed so that they appear to besphinxes which we are assuming mean that the catalyst has been mastered. I am also assuming that they act as the power that moves the chariot depicted here so as this mastery enables the mind in its transformation to become mobile unlike it was prior to this mastery, locked within the illusion. Would Ra comment on that?

Ra: I am Ra. Firstly, we ask that the student consider the Great Way not as the culmination of a series of seven activities or functions but as a far more clearly delineated image of the environment within which the mind, body, or spirit shall function. Therefore, the culturally determined creatures called sphinxes do not indicate mastery over catalyst.

The second supposition, that of placing the creatures as the movers of the chariot of mind, has far more virtue. You may connote the concept of time to the image of the sphinx. The mental and mental/emotional complex ripens and moves and is transformed in time.

    Dear Confused,

Your ongoing thread began almost four years ago. Wow. That's the longest sustained effort on Bring4th, and at this point has become a staple of the website. I agree with isis that the thread title is apt.

Perhaps it's more evocative than descriptive, but you are probing the mysterious through your posting's content. And what mystery from the human perspective does not first pass through the lens of time?

You might consider posting a quick synopsis of the linked article, or paste a paragraph or two from the article in order to provide some description to the perusing reader.

Such pure joy to have a post from you, GLB! Smile

In the LOO, at 99.8, Ra's reply contains the following extract --
Quote:Those who turn to the deep mind, seeing it in the guise of the maiden, go forth to court it. The courtship has nothing of plunder in its semblance and may be protracted, yet the treasure gained by such careful courtship is great.
Somewhere deep inside me, I have come to a personal framework that looks upon the mystery-filled universe as a coy maiden, who will voluntarily open up her treasure chest of knowledge and wisdom to only those who court her with respect, adoration, sincerity, and above all, authentic persistence. She is a stubborn lover who will only yield with grace to those who court her with determined desire, in my evolving spiritual view.

With respect to a synopsis or a few lines from the article, I think that is a great suggestion. Will implement it as far and as frequently as possible; though once in a while I might get lazy and just straight away post like before.

Thanks for stopping by, dear friend Smile

These words do represent an evolution of your viewpoint; they are not the same as those coming from the self stranded, sun-bleached, and beaten upon the shores of third-density catalyst with whom I've previously shared the sorrows of this plane.

You write with great eloquence, Confused. As I've said many times before, I look forward to you writing a book or similar. : )

Also, it's interesting you should quote that passage. I've recently come to believe that in my own patterns of seeking, I am rocking back and forth in the transformation described by Ra in the same archetypal portion of the mind you quoted above. Reaching higher, seeking the subtle, but turning to the material illusion nonetheless for quick gratification and escape. One or the other has to be given up.

Thanks my friend. Love & Light, GLB
