Thinking

As third-density beings we have self-awareness, or self-consciousness. In order for us to make any sense of our daily lives, and what our spiritual journeys might offer us, we need to be able to think abstractly, as Ra said. We need to be able to combine rational and intuitive thinking to unravel the tangle of images, interactions, concepts, relationships, and the meaning of the dance. The “dance” is a term that Ra used from time to time to describe our process of evolution from the simple inert awareness of the first density to the Creator who knows Itself in completeness in the seventh density. In 19.11, Ra went into some detail as to how rational and intuitive thinking aids our spiritual journeys:

Questioner: Can you tell me how this new bodily complex was suited to third-density lessons and what those lessons were?

Ra: I am Ra. There is one necessity for third density. That necessity is self-awareness, or self-consciousness. In order to be capable of such, this chemical complex of body must be capable of the abstract thought. Thus, the fundamental necessity is the combination of rational and intuitive thinking. This was transitory in the second-density forms operating largely upon intuition which proved through practice to yield results.

The third-density mind was capable of processing information in such a way as to think abstractly and in what could be termed “useless” ways, in the sense of survival. This is the primary requisite.

There are other important ingredients: the necessity for a weaker physical vehicle to encourage the use of the mind, the development of the already present awareness of the social complex. These also being necessary: the further development of physical dexterity in the sense of the hand, as you call this portion of your body complex.

Because we have the ability to use both sides of our brain and think rationally and intuitively, we have the tools to propel ourselves on a journey of evolution that is millions of years long and which will require that we utilize the tools of will and faith all along the way. We need to exercise our will to do our work in consciousness and the faith that this work will aid us in becoming the Creator. In the following quote Q’uo gives an inspiring and detailed description of how we can use will and faith to become the Creator:

Your life in faith is a life without words, for there are no words to express faith. Faith is a basic attitude that one finds, because one wills it or wishes it to be so, but because as a result of willing to know the truth it comes to you, and the prodigal son and daughter have come home. Faith is simply faith that the Creator that made all that there is, including you, is a Creator of infinite and intelligent love, that it loved you as part of Itself, as a child to nurture, as a personality from which to learn about itself, as all parents learned from their children. Aiming toward living a life in faith is nothing more than releasing fear, and allowing that which is to be, to be.

Oftentimes, that help which you have with you personally at all times, whether you call it spirit, or guidance, or the Higher Self, will give you hints and warnings. Do not ignore them. Ask for help in visions and dreams, and listen to them. Go into meditation, not simply to listen, but with a question asked, expecting not to awaken with one answer, but expecting and knowing that you will eventually know the answer for yourself to your own satisfaction. A great deal of faith is patience. A great deal of will is persistence. We are well aware that these are not the same as the mountain top experiences offered to you by those so-called seers or prophets which make the choosing of a live lived in love seem so very, very easy.

Were it easy, there would be no reason to work through so much of pain and limitation and change, for choice is change, make no mistake. Each choice that you make will change you, and you will feel pain and discomfort, because it is painful to change, and as you meditate, and seek, and live a life in faith, you will change, and change, and change again. Some truths will remain the same forever for you. Some truths will be outgrown, and must be let go. Q’uo, July 15, 1990

This afternoon I went outside and used my trimmer to cut down all of the dead flowers in the front, back, and side yards. Then I used my big mower to mulch the leaves in the area behind the garage that I had blown into position yesterday. My last job was to used my blower again today to blow the leaves on the north side of the garage into the area behind the garage so that I can mulch them tomorrow.

The Personal Nature Of Love

I am the spirit of the full consciousness of Christ. I greet you in His perfect love and in the holy name of the Son of God.

It is through the mediation of Jesus, the man who spells salvation for you, that I speak, and not only from God. For it is the Creator’s desire to personify consciousness into godliness and to generalize personhood into creation itself, so that experience may become infinite and infinity may be experienced.

It is to those who accept the personal nature of love that love shall be given most fully. For it is to the adoring heart that love may speak most clearly.

And how to adore that which is impersonal?

We come in consciousness. We are consciousness. And we speak to consciousness. Know yourself as the personhood of God in Christ and turn your faces in adoration to the person of the Creator, which comes for you and to you and through you.

We are only extensions of the spirit of that great drive of the consciousness of love; only the principle that extends the liveness of the Creator.

Fitness

Animals, both domestic and wild, have a natural fitness or physical strength that they don’t have to exercise in order to maintain. It is just a gift of nature that they will carry with them throughout their lives. We humans, on the other hand, have to exercise our muscles if we want to maintain our strength past the early years of youth and young adulthood. It is always amazing to me to look at small children and see how much energy they have when they play and just go through the day doing what they do. At some point this endless energy seems to leak away until, as adults, we become very aware that we will need to practice some form of exercising in order to keep our strength. Our situation seems to become a use-it-or-loose-it reality. In the following quote Q’uo gives a kind of overview to exercise as a means to quiet the nervous energy of the mind:

And there are various ways of relieving the type of nervous energy which one may experience as a result of quieting the mind and the reaching through to a source of results that is found imbedded in the greater self, that in some cases may manifest its vitality as a kind of nervous energy. In taking part in the physical exercise which brings one to the physical exhaustion is as one means as simple as walking rapidly or jogging will remove this energy in a short period of time. Q’uo, January 25, 1989

During the Ra contact Carla engaged in a very strenuous program of exercise in order to keep her body as fit as possible to serve as the instrument for the Ra contact. Five or six days per week she would take a speed walk for an hour during which time she covered from four to five miles. She also engaged in aerobic exercises a couple of times per week where she would perform certain dance-like movements repeatedly. We had a treadmill that she would use in order to walk rapidly in place when the weather was bad outside. Ra suggested that exercising her body in this fashion would make her weary in the short run but stronger in the long run, and this strength would add to her vital energies which powered the Ra contact. In the following quote Ra went into detail about how much time Carla should spend in the various forms of exercise that she did:

104.2 Questioner: The instrument would like to know what’s the optimum amount of aerobics, walking, and whirlpool exercises for the best condition at this time?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall answer in two ways. Firstly, to speak to the general case which pertains to this instrument in varying degree, each form of exercise is well accomplished approximately three to four times per your week. The amount of exercise, all quantified as one sum, is approximately one hour per diurnal period.

We now answer in a second way, distorted in this response to the duple conditions of yellow-ray, physical difficulty and mind complex distortion. The swirling waters then must needs be viewed as being appropriate four to five of your times per week. The walking and the exercising as much as is desired by the entity. The total of all these should in no case exceed ninety minutes per diurnal period.

The yellow-ray, physical body has been experiencing that which is called lupoid changes in much tissue of muscle and some of the organs as well. The exercise regains the wasting physical muscular strength. In some ways the walking is the more appropriate exercise due to the proximity of the entity to second-density creatures, particularly your trees. However, the habitation you enjoy does not offer such opportunity and instead offers the proximity to creations of mind/body/spirit complexes. This does not feed the mental/emotional needs of this entity although it produces the same physical result. The exercise fulfills more of the mental/emotional need due to the entity’s fondness for rhythmic expressions of the body such as those found in athletic endeavors derivative of the artifact system which is known among your peoples as the dance.

We suggest the support group encourage any exercise except that which exceeds the time limit which is already far beyond the physical limitations of this body complex. It is the way of distortion that in order to balance a distortion one must accentuate it. Thusly, the over-wearing of the body may, if correctly motivated, produce a lack of deficit at which juncture the lesser exercise limitations should be put into practice.

This morning I had lunch at First Watch and then drove across the street to buy a sandwich for dinner from Panera Bread. Then I stopped by the donation bin behind the PNC Bank and donated a couple of long-sleeved shirts and sweaters which I have not been wearing for quite some time. My last stop was at Walgreen’s Drug Store to pick up some paper towels and ice cream.

Hope

I am the son of God, a principle created by an inspired and inspiring life and teaching. We greet you in the full consciousness of that love which is in Jesus the Christ.

This instrument is quite doubting this morning, for she feels that it is hopeless to attempt true communion with her experiences at this time being difficult emotionally. Yet to those especially troubled we give a special invitation. The spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, that force which by any other name is the same, desires to comfort all His people as it is written in your holy work, the Bible. There need be no stragglers of hopelessness; no long line of those who wait and watch for a glimmer of hope.

To those who suffer this day, we ask that each spend time in a nurturing atmosphere. When this is impossible physically may we encourage you with godly hope to reserve that portion of yourself which is the balance point and from that point to trust that the harmonic plan of life is indeed right where it should be.

If this is not seen to be so, then the perspective has not yet become full enough for a greater understanding. Be patient under this limitation and persevere in hoping. For those things for which we hope are those things which shall manifest in your life.

We urge you to the peace and harmony of the created God in men, both now and forever. Peace. Peace. Amen.

Health

Diet

Our body’s health is a product of various factors: diet being the most basic element in most cases. Ra’s recommendations for creating a balanced diet for our bodies was that we concentrate on vegetables, fruits, and grains. They only mentioned the eating of meat if it was necessary for an individual’s metabolism, or how energized the body feels without the meat. Some people would need to eat meat in order to supplement the feeling of low energy. Ra also added that it was one’s attitude towards life, their love of life, and a positive attitude that was much more important than any food that we might eat as they said in this quote regarding Carla’s dietary needs:

18.4 Questioner: Are there any foods that are helpful or harmful that the instrument might eat?

Ra: I am Ra. This instrument has body complex distortion towards ill health in the distortion direction corrected best by ingestion of the foodstuffs of your grains and your vegetables, as you call them. However, this is extremely unimportant when regarded as an aid with equality to other aids such as attitude which this instrument has in abundance. It, however, aids the vital energies of this instrument, with less distortion towards ill health, to ingest foodstuffs in the above manner with occasional ingestion of what you call your meats, due to the instrument’s need to lessen the distortion towards low vital energy.

Ra also mentioned that there could be another metaphysical component to our body’s health as well as the physical food that we eat and our love of life. Ra said that if we were not successful in processing catalyst that had to do with learning our pre-incarnative lessons, that such catalyst could then be expressed in our body complex in a symbolic fashion. This would provide us with a riddle to solve in order to heal the malfunctioning of our body.

A good example of how this works was demonstrated by my body during the Ra contact. I had gotten angry at Don because he wanted to print all the Ra information into one book even though we didn’t have the money to do so. I let that anger go overnight without healing it, and during the night our negative friend of fifth density led a common wood spider to bite my arm so my kidneys malfunctioned and I came down with a case of nephritis. The kidneys represented the orange-ray of one-to-one relationships, and their malfunctioning represented the anger that I had let come between Don and me. So, many times we can look to the area of the body that is malfunctioning in order to place the disease in a certain chakra and interpret the nature of the chakra as a means of diagnosing the cause of a certain disease as Ra did in this quote about my anger at Don:

101.2 Questioner: Thank you. What has caused the swelling in Jim’s body, and what can be done to heal it?

Ra: I am Ra. For the answer to this query we must begin with the consideration of the serpent, signifying wisdom. This symbol has the value of the ease of viewing the two faces of the one who is wise. Positive wisdom adorns the brow indicating indigo-ray work. Negative wisdom, by which we intend to signify expressions which effectually separate the self from the other-self, may be symbolized by the poison of the fangs. To use that which a mind/body/spirit complex has gained of wisdom for the uses of separation is to invite the fatal bite of that wisdom’s darker side.

The entity has a mental/emotional tendency, which has been lessening in distortion for some of your space/time, towards negative wisdom. The entity being already aware of this causes us not to dwell upon this point but merely to specifically draw the boundaries of the metaphysical background for the energizing of a series of bites from one of your second-density species. In this case the bite was no more than that of one of the arachnids, sometimes called the wood spider. However, it is possible that were enough work done to test the origin of the pathology of the entity, it is within possibility/probability limits that the testing would show the bite of the cottonmouth rather than the bite of the common wood spider.

The energizing took its place within the lymphatic system of the entity’s yellow-ray, physical body. Therefore, the working continues. There is increasing strain upon the spleen, the supra-renal glands, the renal complex, and some possibility/probability of difficulty with the liver. Further, the lymphatic difficulties have begun to strain the entity’s bronchial system. This is some general information upon what is to be noted as a somewhat efficient working.

This afternoon we will be having our second public channeling meditation in two and one-half years. So this morning I took my speed walk early and followed it with a bath. Then I got all the chairs place in the living room to hold 15 people if all of our channels and attendees that have registered for this meditation are able to come. I also got Boscoe situated in a room in the basement with his litter box, food, and water so he won’t disturb the meditation by meowing every now and then as he always does. Then I also did some work on this Camelot Journal entry as well as those a day or two from now, which I do so that I can edit each entry three times before posting it.

Like Minerals In Soft Rains

I am the spirit of the consciousness of the love of Christ, and I greet you in the love that is power and might and glory, creating without end all that there is and rejoicing in the creation.

I come in the vibration which comforts this child of God, and I come to each who calls me in each seeker’s own need, with each seeker’s vibrations and necessities of consciousness in mind. For we would not distress any by teachings which are confusing but would rather speak in the native tongue of each heart, our feet planted in the native soil of each seeker’s fertile ground.

For each seeker is a garden wherein is planted the Word: love. And love may create for each seeker a wonderful garden of fruit and harvest that blooms and yields forever. Yet without love, the ground wherein the seeds of love lie is barren and lifeless.

We who comfort are like minerals in soft rains, adding to the soil what is needed of the consciousness of love. Seek, then, in your own native tongue, to know the will of Christ in your life and we shall fall upon you like rain, and the seeds of love within you shall rejoice.

The Body

Ra said that in each density of creation there must be a body that can house the consciousness of an intelligent entity that is seeking to expand its perception and experience of the One Creator. More precisely, the mind of the entity channels the consciousness of the Creator in order to create a body complex that will allow the mind to move around in the density of experience and process the available catalyst to continue its journey into union with the Creator. So it is in our third-density illusion. The mind complex creates the body complex to be its faithful steed and to allow it to speak, to move, and to interact with other mind/body/spirit complexes who are also on the journey of seeking the Creator through interactions with other selves as Ra alluded to in the following quote:

97.10 Questioner: Thank you. Card Number Five, the Significator of the Mind, indicates, firstly, as I see it, simply a male within a rectangularly structured form. This suggests to me that the Significator of the Mind in third density is well-bounded within the illusion, as is also suggested by the fact that the base of the male is a rectangular form showing no ability for movement. Would Ra comment on that?

Ra: I am Ra. O student, you have grasped the barest essence of the nature of the Significator’s complete envelopment within the rectangle. Consider for the self, O student, whether your thoughts can walk. The abilities of the most finely honed mentality shall not be known without the use of the physical vehicle which you call the body. Through the mouth the mind may speak. Through the limbs the mind may effect action.

Our third-density bodies have what Ra called natural needs. Our bodies themselves have a need to touch the body of a loved one, to feel love in such touching, to simply be in the company of another self, and to share the expression of love and company in the form of sexual energy exchanges. In these uses of our bodies we can express and experience a love for another self and for our self as well. Ra gave the basics of these natural needs of the body in this quote:

The body complex has natural functions. Many of these have to do with the unmanifested self and are normally not subject to the need for balancing. There are natural functions which have to do with other-self. Among these are touching, loving, the sexual life, and those times when the company of another is craved to combat the type of loneliness which is the natural function of the body as opposed to those types of loneliness which are of the mind/emotion complex or of the spirit. 61.6

This morning Trish took me to the Louisville Endoscopy Center so that I could have an endoscopy to see what might be causing my acid reflux. The results of the endoscopy showed that I have an esophageal hiatal hernia which is an opening in the diaphragm which permits part of the stomach to protrude through the diaphragm and causes acid reflux. I have an appointment in February with the doctor who performed the endoscopy to determine how to deal with this situation.

The Rags And Bones Of The Mind

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

The deep recesses of your conscious mind contain the rags and bones, the scraps and oddities, that have become useless to you and garbage within the heart. The spirit of the living God urges you to clean house. For that which flows through you is blocked and weakened by these old rags of sadness, jealously, anger, desires for revenge, and, most of all, the dividing of self against self.

Self-criticism is an enormous stumbling block to one who wishes to experience and live a life upheld by love and bounded about by eternity.

Clean house, my children. Release all that has been considered waste. You do not need these sorrows as knives turned against the self. You merely wish them so that you do not blow away as the weight of past experience is lifted.

My children, you shall not blow away but, rather, shall be hollowed out at last, sorrow having done its work. A deeper, gentler, braver heart lies ready for the wind which whispers the spirit and the message of love.

What is already in your toolbox

Organizing information on energy centers

Every creature on Earth, and throughout the infinite universe, is possessed of energy centers or chakras. Depending on which density a being finds itself in, various of the energy centers are activated, and others are not activated but are in potential, ready to be activated at the appropriate time. When an energy center is activated it is able to accept the love/light, or intelligent energy, of the Logos in a way which expresses itself in the manner appropriate to each energy center. This expression is likened to representing some feature of the One Creator’s Consciousness. Q’uo gave an overview of the value of our chakras or energy centers in this quote:

We ask that you consider, my brother, the possibility that dwelling within one chakra or another is not the goal of a spiritual seeker. Rather, the spiritual seeker’s goal is to serve the one infinite Creator. In doing so, all of the notes of this instrument shall be played. None of the chakras is more important than any other. They are all necessary for the functioning of the energy body. It is just as important to have a strong red ray or a strong orange ray as it is to have a strong indigo ray. It is impossible to do work in consciousness before you have begun to have a holistic view of your energy, valuing every aspect of your feelings. Q’uo, April 14, 2007.

In our third-density illusion the first three energy centers are activated to some degree. Our red-ray energy center deals with our survival and sexual reproduction. It is considered a primary energy center and also the foundation energy center because it provides the love/light for all of the upper energy centers to be able to use according to their functions.

The orange-ray energy center gives us the opportunity to discover our self-conscious identities with personal eccentricities that we share with other entities on a one-to-one basis. At the orange-ray chakra we express our power on an individual basis. We also have the first opportunity to accept ourselves for containing each of these qualities.

The yellow-ray energy center is the second primary energy center and deals with how we share our unique orange-ray natures with groups of people. We blend our personal energies with others and express our power in groups that are in relation to other groups of families, teams, businesses, states, and nations. It is at this point that we are able to make The Choice and decide to be of service to others and open the green-ray energy center or chakra. If we are not able to make that Choice, either consciously or unconsciously, we will have difficulty in seeking the Law of One.

The green-ray chakra is activated when we see all other entities as the Creator and feel unconditional love for them. The green-ray chakra signals our ability to move into the fourth-density of love and understanding. It also allows us to springboard to the higher energy centers of blue, indigo, and violet.

The blue-ray chakra reflects our ability to engage in clear communication with others, to both give it and to receive it. We also may enhance our communication so that it becomes inspirational as we share the nature of the spiritual journey back into unity with the one Creator. This is the third primary ray and the first ray whose energies are outflowing as well as inpouring. The blue-ray entity is a co-Creator.

The indigo-ray chakra is worked on by the adept which sees itself as the Creator. By use of will and faith, contact with intelligent infinity is possible and intelligent energy may then be channeled by the adept to cause changes in consciousness at will. The indigo-ray deals with activating that great gateway into healing, magical work, prayerful attention, and the radiance of being.

The violet-ray chakra deals with that which is the spiritual giving and taking from Creator to Creator. It is fixed in its nature as representing the mark, the register, the identity, the true vibration of an entity. It is the ray which is measured as an entity passes from this life and walks into the light which determines the next density of experience. And in this quote Ra describes Carla’s energy centers and how they functioned for her:

38.5 Questioner: Could you tell me how each of the rays, red through violet, would appear in a perfectly balanced, undistorted entity?

Ra: I am Ra. We cannot tell you this for each balance is perfect and each unique. We do not mean to be obscure.

Let us offer an example. In a particular entity, let us use this instrument, the rays may be viewed as extremely even, red, orange, yellow. The green ray is extremely bright. This is, shall we say, balanced by a dimmer indigo. Between these two the point of balance resides, the blue ray of the communicator sparkling in strength above the ordinary. In the violet ray we see this unique spectrograph, if you will, and at the same time the pure violet surrounding the whole; this in turn, surrounded by that which mixes the red and violet ray, indicating the integration of mind, body, and spirit; this surrounded in turn by the vibratory pattern of this entity’s true density.

This description may be seen to be both unbalanced and in perfect balance. The latter understanding is extremely helpful in dealing with other-selves. The ability to feel blockages is useful only to the healer. There is not properly a tiny fraction of judgment when viewing a balance in colors. Of course when we see many of the energy plexi weakened and blocked, we may understand that an entity has not yet grasped the baton and begun the race. However, the potentials are always there. All the rays fully balanced are there in waiting to be activated.

Perhaps another way to address your query is this: In the fully potentiated entity the rays mount one upon the other with equal vibratory brilliance and scintillating sheen until the surrounding color is white. This is what you may call potentiated balance in third density.

This morning I had my yearly appointment with my eye doctor, and she said that my eyesight has been stable for the last four years which means that there is no need to change my eye glasses prescription.

This afternoon I ran errands with my first stop being Feeder’s Supply to buy some canned cat food for the cats. My second stop was at Paul’s Fruit Market to buy some food for myself.

Thy Will Be Done

I am of the principle of the consciousness of Jesus the Christ. I greet you in the beauty of complete and divine love which is the nature of that consciousness.

Many of you seek to become more and more as you may understand the mind of Jesus the Christ to be. To be pondered in this regard is the helplessness of Jesus nailed to His tree of death and resurrection.

Sometimes the soul who serves the positive and the good finds oneself incapable of producing any fruit to the spirit or any aid to consciousness except the affirmation, “Thy will be done—and that cheerfully.”

In those times when you feel helpless, release that helpless feeling, for your help is near. Sometimes to be helpless is to be of great service. And it is then time, always, to ask for the company and the comfort of the consciousness of the love of Jesus the Christ.

Carla’s goals for this section: This is a recap of the material in 101 and 102, getting the reader to use these resources I will probably not us any quotations here, just summarize what has gone before.

However, I am going to use quotes from Q’uo, Ra, and Carla herself to illustrate the thoughts that I have given to Carla’s outline so readers don’t think I am just creating thoughts out of thin air.

Introduction

Why “tools” are needed for Consciousness Expansion

Since our third-density minds are not yet advanced enough to accomplish action at a distance, we need tools to do any kind of work that we set our minds to do. Fortunately, our minds are able to use various kinds of tools to accomplish a great variety of work such as meditation, contemplation, and intellectual analysis. The more that we use any tool the better we become at using it until it becomes second nature to us as we incorporate it into our minds as memory and into our bodies as muscle memory. This process could be likened to expanding our sense of our selves by means of using tools. The more that we use the tools the greater is our sense of self which, paradoxically, continues to expand into new discoveries of our self the more we use any tool. On September 5, 2010 Carla gave a talk at our Homecoming Gathering on how we can use our minds to set our intentions to make choices regarding our spiritual growth:

The density that we now enjoy, as the tribe of humankind, is the Density of Choice. The first point I’d like to make is that free will recapitulates the Creator’s choice to know Itself. In Its choice to know Itself it flung all of us bits of the Creator out to experience all that there is, to choose all that we wish to desire and to pursue it and set our intentions as we will, to use our free will to make choices.

Now, what choices are the important ones? I think we all really know the direction that that answer will take because we all have feelings for the ethics of this world. We all have personal ethics. We all have things we will do and things we absolutely will not do. And as we gain in life experience more and more, our choice-points offer themselves to us and we get to practice the choice-making. We get to come to one decision after another and choose either for our own benefit in a selfish sense or for the benefit of those whom we wish to serve.

This growth of our sense of self is especially true in the area of consciousness expansion. Our entire universe is created by the Love, or the Consciousness, of the One Infinite Creator. The Creator used its free will to know Itself better by creating the infinite universe and all the infinite intelligences within the universe by Love creating Light that then condenses into various levels of what we call matter. In the third density each of us is a portion of that One Creator, and we are attempting to travel the path of reunification with the Consciousness of Love. We are attempting to expand our third-density consciousness to include more and more of the Consciousness of the Creator by using the great variety of tools that are available for the seeker of truth. In the following quote Ra described how we can become the Creator in the magical sense:

74.11 Questioner: Now, what I am trying to get at is how these disciplines affect the energy centers and the power, shall I say, of the white magician. Could you, will you tell me how that works?

Ra: I am Ra. The heart of the discipline of the personality is threefold. One, know yourself. Two, accept yourself. Three, become the Creator.

The third step is that step which, when accomplished, renders one the most humble servant of all, transparent in personality and completely able to know and accept other-selves. In relation to the pursuit of the magical working the continuing discipline of the personality involves the adept in knowing itself, accepting itself, and thus clearing the path towards the great indigo gateway to the Creator. To become the Creator is to become all that there is. There is then no personality in the sense with which the adept begins its learn/teaching. As the consciousness of the indigo ray becomes more crystalline, more work may be done; more may be expressed from intelligent infinity.

At noon today I joined two very good friends of over 50 years in a zoom meet that we hold every three weeks to discuss Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh and The Ra Contact. We always start with a little check-in just to catch up on what is currently happening in each of our lives. Then we each take turns reading a couple of pages of one book and then the other with occasional timeouts taken to discuss any topic that seems unclear or which might need elaboration. As always, it is fun to be with dear friends of many years and share our spiritual beingness.

You Are The Rainfall

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ and greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

The sun awakes and peeps over the horizon. Does the sun have eyes that gaze upon the earth? We think not, for were it to gaze and judge, the sun would shine on one but not upon another.

The rain moves over the land and feeds alike the stinking sewer and the fertile farmland. There is no judgment within the creation of the Father but only the balancing of harmonies.

You, too, are the sun. You, too, may shine upon all or you may choose to save your light for some and not for others.

You, too, are the generous, gentle rainfall that makes all things new. Yet you, too, may choose through judgment to restrict that blessed plenty of water, that precious food of life.

This day we ask one thing of each. Know that you shine, that you can be most fertile in fruit as a child of the Father.

But know also that judgment removes you from the Father’s side so that you are the prodigal son or daughter. Then the sun does not shine nor the rain fall in your own private world. For as you judge others, so shall your experience be.

Refrain this day from judgment. Ask only for the opportunity to love, to shine, and to bless with your plenty.

Jim’s Story (The Choice in his daily life and business)

In 102 I mentioned how one of my first chances to make The Choice to be of service to others was after I graduated from college I joined Teacher Corps to work with kids from the first through third grades in the low-income areas of Jacksonville, Florida. The University of Florida in Gainesville joined with the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare to supplement the education of the kids in Jacksonville who had been through the Head Start Program but who had not been able to maintain their “head start” that was for kindergarten-aged children. So this program was named Follow Through, and we worked with teachers to help the kids in the first through third grades maintain their head start.

The Teach Corps program was a two-year program in which we earned a Master’s Degree in Education. After my Teacher Corps experience I heard about a school in the Colorado Rocky Mountains called The Adventure Trails Survival School. The curriculum of the school was focused around engaging in a course of self-therapy in primal nature called Brain In Nature Course. The theory was that the disharmony on planet Earth was threatening the survival of Earth’s population through wars between countries that could escalate with the use of nuclear weapons. The solution was for students to learn how to release the dormant potential of the frontal lobes of their brains by using dream analysis, journaling, and re-enacting personally limiting thoughts and behaviors that had been programmed by parents, teachers, and friends before the age of seven. The course worked for me as on the morning of July 12, 1972, while in the pre-conscious state of sleep, my frontal lobes came alive and I felt a what amounted to an orgasm in my entire brain.

The director of the School, T.D. Lingo, asked that all students who went through the Brain In Nature Course to begin their own schools and “each one teach one.” So I bought 132 acres of woods in central Kentucky and set in action my own Choice to serve others by starting the Rock Creek Research & Development Labs. Inc. I built a log cabin, lived off the grid for six and one-half years, and conducted two classes of the Brain In Nature Course. However, on the evening of May 30, 1977, I turned on my battery-powered radio and happened to tune into WKQQ Radio Station in Lexington, Kentucky and heard an interview with Don Elkins and Carla L. Rueckert on the topic of UFOs. Their focus was on telepathic contact with these extraterrestrial sources or what became known as channeling. I was fascinated by the philosophy of unity of all people and all of the creation which seemed to be the core of the messages that they received. It took me about six months to meet friends of Don and Carla’s who introduced me to them. I attended their Sunday night channeling meditations for the next year at which time they invited me to join them in their work. I joined them on December 23, 1980, and three weeks later the Ra contact began.

In the nearly three years in which the Ra contact continued Don, Carla, and I made a daily Choice to be of service to others by having 106 sessions with those of Ra. We had such a natural feeling of harmony and love between us that we experienced on a daily basis. Ra credited that harmony with being primary in supporting our contact with them as they mentioned in this quote:

(94.9) This particular instrument was not trained, nor did it study, nor worked it at any discipline in order to contact Ra. We were able, as we have said many times, to contact this group using this instrument because of the purity of this instrument’s dedication to the service of the One Infinite Creator, and also because of the great amount of harmony and acceptance enjoyed each by each within the group; this situation making it possible for the support group to function without significant distortion.

Within the 2,600 questions that we were able to ask Ra emerged the philosophy of the Law of One which it became our great honor and joy to be able to share with the population of planet Earth. Ra succinctly defined the Law of One in this quote:

(4.20) The Law of One, though beyond the limitations of name, as you call vibratory sound complexes, may be approximated by stating that all things are one, that there is no polarity, no right or wrong, no disharmony, but only identity. All is one, and that one is love/light, light/love, the Infinite Creator.

When Don passed away in 1984, Carla and I received the funds from his pension plan with Eastern Airlines. The total was $600,000. We gave $200,000 to the IRS and invested the remainder with a local trust company. In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s interest rates were high enough to easily support us, but as the 90s ended the interest rates on our investments went down dramatically. Carla had been keeping our house books, and when she noticed how the interest rates were trending downward she asked me if our trust fund ever was unable to support us would I be willing to go to work and make up the difference. I said “Sure”.

We met with our Trust officer on December 7, 2001, and she also noted how the interest rates were declining and said that we had cut into the principle of our Trust to the degree that it would soon be gone if we were not able to supplement it. So, Carla and I began to make plans for my getting a job. She thought that I would probably want to use my degrees in Business and Economics and get a job with some company. But I had given up any desire for such a job as soon as I had gotten my degrees in 1969.

For a few years before this time I had been cutting the grass and planting flowers for Don’s aunt and uncle and a couple of their neighbors just to make a little extra money on the side. I liked working outdoors and being my own boss, so I decided to expand my little side line work into Jim’s Lawn Service. I already had—and still have—a 1990 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. So, I bought a trailer that I could use to haul the new 48” cut, 24 hp. lawn mower that had a velke that I could stand on and ride. I also bought a weed-eater, backpack blower, and hedge clippers to help me do my jobs.

Carla and I lived in a part of Louisville where most of the people paid to have their grass cut. The salesman who sold me my mower said that where we lived was the “Mecca of Lawn Services”. So, I took the phone book for our little village of 775 families, and wrote a form letter that I sent to half of household introducing myself as a neighbor who would be glad to cut their grass. I promised to treat their yards as if they were my own. Soon I had twenty customers and decided to let that be enough for my first year to be sure I could handle that work load before I added any more jobs. Carla added keeping the books for my lawn service to her work on the house books, so I was ready to rock and roll at the age of 54!

The great majority of the work I did was to simply cut the grass with my mower that I named Susie, do the trimming around the yard with my weed eater that I named Whiplash, and blow all walkways and driveways clean of grass with my backpack blower which I named Huff & Puff. As time went on many of my customers asked me to do other work around the outside of their houses like cleaning leaves out of the gutters, spreading mulch around trees and flower beds, planting flowers, trimming hedges, and clearing areas of honeysuckle bushes which were considered large noxious weeds.

Over the eleven years that I ran my lawn service I also did a few more unusual jobs for some of my customers who had become friends. I helped an older woman learn how to pump gas into her car when the last full-service gas station closed in her area. For another older woman I fed her cats when she was out of town and also took her to Indianapolis one January to visit her aunt, who was in poor health, before she passed away. For another customer each year I put the Christmas lights up on the spruce tree that was growing in her front yard and wreaths on the windows on two sides of her house which faced streets. I also did some stone work for a couple of customers building a retaining wall out of creek stone.

That first year I made $35,000 and decided to take on more customers the next year by sending out more form letters to the folks in my little village. I increased my work load to thirty customers and from that point on took on new customers from time to time as word spread that I did good work and was very dependable. As time went on I bought a couple more mowers to use when Susie was in the shop for repairs and for Fridays when Gary would help me. Friday was my busiest day because some of my customers liked to throw parties at their houses over the weekend and wanted their yards to look the best then. Slowly my earnings went up until in 2008 I had my peak year and earned $80,000. $12,000 of that came before the grass cutting started as in January we had Hurricane Ike come through and blow down a massive amount of tree limbs that gave me more than enough work to do in the off season.

In the first couple of years I bid jobs at $35 an hour, which went up to $40 an hour in the middle years, and then Carla recommended $50 an hour in the last years. I have always enjoyed doing physical labor, so I bid according to how long I thought any particular job would take me to complete. My customers were glad to get their jobs done for what I bid because I simply gave them a price for their job without letting them know what I was making per hour. I could get more work done in an hour that most people could because, as I said, it was fun and I was in good physical shape in those days.

I was able to retire from the lawn service in 2012 as a good friend of L/L Research, who loved the Law of One, asked Carla what he could do for her. She said “Get Jim off the lawn mower.” So, he made a most generous donation that allowed me to retire and become Carla’s full-time care-giver since she had her first back surgery in 2010 and her second one in 2011. All totaled I made $600,000 in the eleven years that I ran Jim’s Lawn Service. However, in the lawn service business half the money that you make goes to repairs and gas, so I was able to contribute $300,000 to help support us in those eleven years. And I made a lot of friends that I still have to this day because I was dependable and I treated their yards as if they were my own.

This morning I completed the cleaning of the silver-plated dishes and got them all back in their proper positions in the kitchen, the living room, and the office.

This afternoon I went to the driver’s license office at Bowman Field and was able to get my “real ID” driver’s license after showing them various forms that proved who I am like a birth certificate, a Social Security card, and bills from AT & T with my name and address on them. On my way home I stopped in at Paul’s Fruit Market to get some food for me, and then I stopped in at Walgreen’s Drug Store to get some ice cream and Kleenexes. When I got home I decided to use my backpack blower to blow the leaves in the back yard into position so that I could use my mower to crunch them into leaf dust.

You Must Wait In Faith

I come in the name of Jesus Christ, the consciousness of love in that vibration peculiarly apt for this instrument. I greet you in Jesus’ name.

We perceive that there are many doubts as to the efficiency of prayer even among those who believe most fervently in prayer and follow its ways, for you do not feel that your prayers are always heard. Yet you ascribe to us the deafness of your own ears.

It is said that in everything there are seasons, and, indeed, you who dwell in the desert of Earth will experience many, many seasons of loneliness and desolation. For your ears are stopped against the words offered, which are always there. The hand of Jesus touching yours cannot be felt by your numb fingers. And the truth that is offered is not seen because you are blind.

Then it is that you must wait in faith, in the blankness of the desert sun, for the oasis of grace that will unstop your ears and enliven your fingers, open your mouth to praise and free the eyes of the scales of doubt.

It is truly said that you do not know the day or moment wherein the Son of Man cometh. Jesus stands, awaiting the season of your open heart. You cannot force it but must await it. When it comes, will you be ready to acknowledge, accept and be transformed by it?

We commend you to watch and wait in patience and faith, offering your agony to Christ with the same praise that you offer your joy. Thusly you shall find peace, now and always. Amen.

Don’s Story (The Choice in his daily life and research)

When Don was seventeen years old he began taking flying lessons from Capt. Tom Mantell who had his own flying school while also working for the Kentucky Air National Guard. Though only 25 years old, Capt. Mantell was a veteran of WWII, where he won the Distinguished Flying Cross. Since Don and Capt. Mantell were so close in age they became good friends. On January 7, 1948, the Kentucky State Police had received over 30 telephone calls from people in the Mayfield, KY. area reporting a strange object in the air. The State Police called the control tower at Ft. Knox to see if they could get someone in the air to determine what this object was. The control tower radioed Capt. Mantell and his two wingmen, who were on their way to Kentucky from Georgia, and asked them to check out this strange object.

All three pilots were flying P-51 Mustangs, a WWII vintage plane, and after about half an hour they had the UFO in sight. When Capt. Mantell pursued the UFO past 20,000 feet he passed out because his plane didn’t have oxygen. His plane crashed, and he died on the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Capt. Mantell’s death while chasing the UFO got Don interested not only in UFOs but also in the larger questions as to whether we were alone in the universe, and was there a higher power that created the universe. Don spent the rest of his life pursuing the answers to these intriguing questions.

Don first looked to the sciences for answers and eventually became a professor of physics at the University of Louisville. However, it soon became apparent to him that the answers that he was seeking were not available within the scientific community. Don then turned his attention to the field of what in the 1950s was called the paranormal, that which was beyond the normal range of experience. By 1955, he had regressed over 200 subjects into previous lives which was his personal confirmation that reincarnation was the way that life progressed in the spiritual sense.

As I mentioned earlier when speaking of how Don and Carla met, Don’s next field of inquiry was the channeling of spiritually-oriented information from supposed extraterrestrial entities. In this process Don became a channel himself and sought to serve others by making this Choice. He was actually the first channel for L/L Research and was later joined in 1974 by Carla who learned to channel Hatonn which was the first planetary mind that L/L Research channeled.

Don also continued his research into the basic questions of why we all are on planet Earth by becoming a UFO researcher for the last twenty five years of his life. Since he was a pilot, he flew Carla and himself to whatever location in the United States where there had been UFO activity, face-to-face encounters with extraterrestrials, or actual abductions. The information that he and Carla gathered on these excursions provided the material for Secrets of the UFO, a book they self-published in 1976. It contained not only factual evidence but also metaphysical information that would be inspirational for the spiritually-minded seekers of truth. In Chapter Eight they also published some of the first information on the concept of Wanderers, entities from higher densities who incarnate on Earth to be of service to humanity.

In 1977, Don and Carla flew to the Philippines to investigate psychic surgery. They encountered a few folks posing as psychic surgeons who were actually charlatans looking to make money by taking advantage of their clients’ naivete. However, they did meet Benji Balacano in Manila, and he proved to be the real deal. He was one of a group of such psychic surgeons who did not use any kind of knife in their surgeries but used bare hands to enter their patient’s body and do their work metaphysically.

In 1978, Don and Carla flew to Mexico City to investigate another psychic surgeon by the name of Pachita. However, this investigation also offered Carla an opportunity to be worked on by Pachita. Carla went there to have Pachita work on her arthritis, but when Pachita first saw her she told Carla that all of her problems came from her kidneys. Remember, Carla’s kidneys failed when she was 12 years old when she prayed to die because she didn’t feel that there was any service that she had to offer. Then she had the NDE that gave her information that there was service for her to offer in this life, so she came back to life and continued on her spiritual journey with that assurance. But Pachita did not know that. She simply intuited the problem with Carla was her kidneys and the arthritis was an outgrowth of that problem.

Pachita said that Carla needed a new kidney. Don and Carla looked all over Mexico City in search of a kidney, but, as you can imagine, they had no luck. When the time for the surgery came, and Carla was lying on the operating table, Pachita just seemed to materialize a kidney in her left hand. She used what appeared to be an old rusty Boy Scout knife to make an incision on the right side of Carla’s back. Then she placed the kidney next to the incision, and it seemed to be sucked into the opening.

Dr. Andrija Puharich was a good friend of Don and Carla and flew from New York City to meet them at Pachita’s. Pachita let Dr. Puharich pull the Boy Scout knife out of Carla’s back. Dr. Puharich was practiced at surgery and used about 2 lbs. of pull, but the knife didn’t move. Then he increased the pull to 5 lbs., and still no movement. Then, at 10 lbs. of pull the knife came out “as if released by a magnet” was the way Dr. Puharich described it. On their way home Don and Carla stopped in Atlanta, Georgia and appeared on Ted Turner’s TBS television station and the “Open Up” program that was hosted by Bill Tush. During the show they talked about UFOs in general and also about their recent trip to see Pachita. They even had photographs of the quickly healing wounds on Carla’s back that amazed Mr. Tush.

Don and Carla also investigated materialization mediums who would exude ectoplasm which would then take the shape of a deceased loved one or a personage from the past who would then speak to a certain member of the attendees. Of course, just as with the psychic surgeons, there were far more charlatans than the real deals. However, one evening at Camp Chesterfield, in northern Ohio, Don and Carla met the Rev. James Tingley of the First Spiritualist Church. The way Rev. Tingley operated was to sit in a folding chair and have assistants hold a curtain around him so that he could exude ectoplasm that would then take the shape, most times, of a loved one who would then be seen by all present. This spirit being then would call for a certain person to come forward from the people gathered in folding chairs around the curtain.

On this particular night Don and Carla were first called up to speak to an entity that called itself Moses. The entity stood in front of Carla and smacked her forearm with its hand hard enough to leave a bruise. Then it walked through Carla from her front to her back. It turned around and walked through her again from her back to her front. Then it raised its arms in the air over their heads and said, “Go forth and teach!” After that it simply pooled down to the floor in a puddle of ectoplasm and was gone.

Then a second being took form in front of Don and Carla using more of the ectoplasm that Rev. Tingley had produced. Don instantly recognized this being as his mother who had passed away some years before. The woman went by the name of “Sister”, and she talked some with Don, and then she thanked Carla for taking such good care of Don. She was so accurately formed of the ectoplasm that Don and Carla could see the individual hairs on her head pulled back into a bun. They could see the wrinkles on her face and the creases in her dress. On the way home Don asked Carla if she knew who “Sister” was. Carla said that she didn’t know any nuns. Then Don told her that “Sister” was the name that his mother was known by in his family as she had a younger sister who went by the name of Martha.

These various types of paranormal journeys were significant parts of Don’s Choice of service to others because they each gave him what he called a “piece of the puzzle” of what life on Earth is really about in the spiritual or metaphysical sense. In all of these paranormal investigations Don was collecting evidence that would eventually be helpful to him when the Ra contact began. When Ra talked about stone structures in the South Pacific, for example, Don was familiar with the Stone Heads of Easter Island and the Lines of Nazca in Peru.

Don was a physics professor from 1955-65, and then he utilized his piloting skills to get a job as a pilot for Eastern Airlines and eventually achieved the rank of Captain flying the Boeing 727 jet plane. He flew for Eastern from 1966 until 1984, and most of the time he was based in Atlanta. He usually worked a schedule of four to six days on duty and then four to six days at home. Don had begun flying at the age of 17 and throughout the succeeding years accumulated thousands of hours of flight time on a variety of craft which allowed him to eventually fly jet planes.

Don enjoyed helping people complete their travel plans and didn’t really see anything special about being an airline pilot. For him flying a jet plane was like being a glorified taxi driver. As a diligent pilot he noted with some dismay the growing use of the auto pilot feature of jet planes as time went on. He felt it was an unwise choice to use the auto pilot because it tended to erode a pilot’s flying skills over a period of time. So, when Don was on duty he was flying the plane himself every moment that it was in the air.

This morning I began cleaning the silver-plated cups, pots, trays, and vases with TarnX. After about an hour and a half I had half of the items cleaned and put back in their proper location in the living room and the office. I also ran some errands with my first stop at First Watch where I had lunch. Then I went to Panera Bread where I bought a sandwich for dinner tonight. My last stop was at Anderson’s Sales and Service where I picked up my backpack blower which they had repaired.

The Realization Of Right Action

I am of the spirit of the one God in the consciousness of love which is Christhood. I come in the name of Jesus Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of Christ’s love.

Just as it is not known to this instrument what I shall say, so it is not known to us, ourselves, what the consciousness of love in a particular application may be until that moment comes. Though you desire to apprehend aforetimes those things which you seek to know about a coming situation, they are impossible to know well, and the guessing and supposing thereof will only confuse and muddle your prayers.

Await the moment in which discrimination and action are necessary and pray heartily for the spontaneous realization of right action. If you wish to pray beforehand for right action, pray that right action may come to you at the proper moment. For did not Jesus teach you that you did not need changes of clothing or food for your journey but, instead, could rely on the good graces of the Father to give you all that was needed?

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the quote comes from the Preface of Living the Law of One 103: The Inner Work and the section on what living the choice means in day-to-day life:

Carla’s Story (The Choice in her daily life and channeling)

“This entity has an habitual attitude which is singular; that is, when there is some necessity for action the entity is accustomed to analyzing the catalyst in terms of service and determining a course. 96.2

This quote by Ra described how Carla lived The Choice every day of her life. There was nothing that she would rather do than be of service to others. Serving others was food for her soul, and her heart would open wide whenever she discovered a chance to be of service to another.

The nature of the service could be anything. It might be giving a ride to church for a fellow choir member; it might be counseling a reader about a life problem; it might be donating her time and energy to clean the kitchen at church on a weekly basis; it might be talking on the phone to comfort a friend who had lost a loved one; it might be giving an inspirational talk to a group of spiritual seekers of truth; it might be cooking a meal and delivering it to a friend who was injured and bedbound; it could be singing in the Louisville Bach Society for 37 years to give praise to the One Creator; it could be singing in her Episcopal Church choirs for 67 years for the same reason; it could be writing a book to help wanderers deal with the inharmonious vibrations of Earth as compared to their home densities.

Beginning in 1994, Carla kept a daily journal that would eventually evolve into A Wanderer’s Handbook. Her initial entries were autobiographical and shared her self-perceived strengths and weaknesses that allowed her to bare her soul to the reader. She felt that it was an important service to the future readers of this book that they know that she was just as humanly fallible as any of them. But by baring her soul in such an honest and transparent way it was also her intent to inspire the readers to find their own spiritual path through the twists and turns of life’s challenges just as she was doing. From the Foreword of A Wanderer’s Handbook:

“On the third of September, 1994, I wrote this in my Journal:

‘We need to talk to each other, wanderers of Earth. We must tell each other our stories, Brothers and Sisters of Sorrow, as we focus on sharing our hearts’ deepest love with the consciousness upon this dear planet. This is my story, my time of calling all wanderers to service most worthy. We are here to assist in the harvest at this, the dawn of the millennium.’

In the six years since that day, I’ve created this handbook, hopefully to fulfil this heart’s desire of mine to share my story and encourage all wanderers to do the same. Am I a wanderer? Yes, and I mean that in the narrow sense of being from elsewhere than this planetary origin. Through regressive hypnosis I have re-experienced parts of a life on another planet, and even saw a group of us coming to Earth as wanderers. This regressive material was published in 1976 in Chapter Eight of Secrets Of the UFO. Years later, during the contact our group had with those of Ra, we asked them to confirm that we, Don Elkins, Jim McCarty and I, were wanderers, and they did, saying that:

‘In scanning each of the mind/body/spirit complexes present, we find an already compete sureness of this occurrence and, therefore, find no harm in recapitulating this occurrence. Each of those present are wanderers pursuing a mission, if you will.’

Did this information convince me that I was an alien who had come here to serve as a wanderer? No. That is, not only that. It was a series of things that accumulated until I became of the settled opinion that, on some level, this information about me was correct. One set of data was the love of and continued attendance in the meditation group that first began channeling allegedly ET messages in Louisville in 1962. My response to this ET material has always been very positive: I resonate to it. Another set of information was embodied in the two men, Don Elkins and Jim McCarty, who from the first time I met each of them, fascinated me and called to me. I have always felt it was part of my personal path to focus on and follow my relationships. There was from the start a comfort, kinship and familiarity in my relationships with them that was uncanny. Both of these men were deeply interested in spiritual seeking and the UFO story, and in working with them, the collaborations revolved through many years and projects around the ET messages and material about being a wanderer.”

Carla developed the idea for this book from the many emails that she got from people who felt that they were wanderers and who had a variety of personal questions spanning a wide range of topics. She also mentioned that this book was not just for wanderers but was for those who felt they were “spiritual outsiders” with the same kinds of concerns and difficulties that wanderers had. She eventually began to call these questions “songs of the Wanderer’s blues” as so many had real difficult life situations as Ra mentioned was common for wanderers in the following quote:

“12.30 Questioner: I just had a thought. Do any of these wanderers have physical ailments in this earth situation?

Ra: I am Ra. Due to the extreme variance between the vibratory distortions of third density and those of the more dense densities, if you will, wanderers have, as a general rule, some form of handicap, difficulty, or feeling of alienation which is severe. The most common of these difficulties are alienation, the reaction against the planetary vibration by personality disorders, as you would call them, and body complex ailments indicating difficulty in adjustment to the planetary vibrations such as allergies, as you would call them.”

Eventually Carla arranged these questions into over a hundred different categories. These categories became an outline for A Wanderer’s Handbook which was published in 2000. It has been a constant source of inspiration to readers throughout the intervening years, and was a labor of love for Carla to write.

Another labor of love for Carla was serving as a channel for supposed extraterrestrial sources. Ra spoke to this point in 44.8:

“Each of you in this working has consciously dedicated the existence now being experienced to service to others. This instrument has refined this dedication through long experience with the channeling, as you term it, of Confederation philosophy, as you may say. Thus when we first contacted this instrument it had offered its beingness, not only to service to other-selves, but service by communication of this nature.”

Carla’s first experience with channeling was when she met Don Elkins in 1961. He was a professor of physics at the University of Louisville. He had been contacted by Hal Price who had recently been transferred to the Ford Motor Company Plant in Louisville from the Ford Plant in Detroit. In Detroit he was also a member of a meditation group that was channeling information from an extraterrestrial source named Hatonn. Hal gave Don a number of channelings from Hatonn that had been compiled into what was called The Brown Notebook. It gave instructions as to how such information could be received on a regular basis if a group of people formed a meditation group and learned the channeling process.

So, Don formed a meditation group by inviting a dozen of his Introduction to Physics students to take part in what he called a scientific experiment to see if channeling would occur. But he didn’t tell the students that channeling was the goal. He simply said that something interesting might occur. Don was a natural teacher and had a certain charisma about him that his students were attracted to, so this mysterious experiment inspired their participation. Carla was the girlfriend of one of those students, and he asked Don if he could bring Carla to the meditation group. After a couple of months of meditating, each of the students began receiving what later would be described as “conditioning” or the first signs of extraterrestrial contact in those days. Their mouths began to open and close, and their tongues would make slurping and smacking sounds. But there were no words being spoken.

Eventually, Walt Rogers, the head of the Detroit meditation group, visited the Louisville group and channeled Hatonn. Hatonn said that they had contact with many in the circle, but noted that none of the students wished to speak the words that they heard in their heads because they were afraid that they were making them up. Hatonn recommended that they simply speak the words and analyze the process after the sessions were over as analyzing the process while it was going on would stop it. Eventually, everyone except Carla learned to channel. Carla loved the meditation and enjoyed hearing the messages, but she had no interest in channeling at that time.

Don and Carla got together in 1968 and formed L/L Research shortly thereafter. The members of the original channeling group eventually left the group due to graduating college and moving out of town, so it was in 1974 that Don asked Carla if she would be willing to learn how to channel. In that way Don’s experiment to gather information about the creation of the universe and our spiritual journey through it could continue. Carla agreed to make The Choice to serve others in this way, and it was actually Hatonn, channeling through Don, that taught Carla how to channel. Over the next few years Carla not only learned how to channel but also developed the process of tuning herself to her highest and best conscious desire to serve others through her channeling. The following quote is part of Carla’s tuning process that she wrote to be used each time before she would channel any entity whether it was Hatonn, Latwii, Ra, or Q’uo:

“Prayer to set intention: Dear Creator, I come before you to offer myself as a channel. I do not claim to be worthy, for I know you have no servants in this world except us humans. I offer myself 100% to your service. I ask to channel the highest and best contact I can carry in a stable and conscious manner of the unconditional love of Jesus the Christ. I ask that all words be yours and none of my own. I ask that all those who come in the name of Jesus the Christ in the unseen realms join in the protection of this group. Those who do not come in the name of Jesus the Christ from the unseen realms may listen, but they may not join the group. (Clap hands.) I ask for the archangels to come to represent all those who come in the name of Jesus the Christ. Before me, Raphael and the gifts and powers of air. Behind me Gabriel and the gifts and powers of water. On my right hand Michael and the gifts and powers of fire. On my left hand Ariel and the gifts and powers of Earth. And above me shines the six-rayed star.”

Carla also discovered that it was necessary to develop a means of challenging any contact that wished to channel through her each time that she channeled. As Carla said, “It is a crowded universe, and you need to be able to determine who you have on the line before you channel.” In order to do this Carla recommended that all channels determine the entity or principle that is at the heart of one’s being and challenge in the name of that entity or principle. Since Carla had a relationship with Jesus since the age of two, she challenged in the name of Jesus Christ. She would challenge three times saying: “Do you come in the name of Jesus Christ, and can you say that Jesus is Lord.” She felt this was the equivalent of having Jesus beside her when she offered this challenge to any discarnate or extraterrestrial source, and would get an honest reply.

Other channels might challenge in the name of any saint or mystic that they revered, or perhaps in the name of service to others, unconditional love, Christ consciousness, or whatever quality or person that was what one lived for and believed in and for which one would gladly die. In June of 1982, Carla was hosting what we then called an “intensive meditation” to teach a student how to channel, and she was approached by our fifth-density negative friend. She offered her challenge, and for a few moments our friend refused to leave. Don asked Ra about this situation, and Ra supported Carla’s challenge of all entities wishing to channel through her each time that she channeled:

89.6 Questioner: This question may be meaningless, but would a fifth-density entity of the Confederation who was positively polarized transmit on the same frequency as our negatively polarized fifth-density companion?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct and is the reason that the questioning of all contacts is welcomed by the Confederation of Planets in the Service of the Infinite Creator.

Carla channeled Hatonn, a fourth-density planetary mind for about five years before being contacted by those of Latwii, a fifth-density planetary mind. It was about two years later that she unexpectedly began to channel Ra. The Ra contact began on January 15, 1981. Carla and Don were holding another “intensive meditation” training session to teach a student how to channel. I was out shopping for groceries after having been with Don and Carla for about three weeks.

After the session was over the first thing that Don said to me was that this new contact was the one he had been waiting nineteen years for. He asked me if I could transcribe it right away. He waited somewhat eagerly in the hallway outside the office for each page that I would finish. As I began my transcription it was quickly obvious to me that this contact with Ra was far different than any other contact I had ever read.

I have a hunch that Ra’s ability to see probable futures let them know that this particular day would be the best opportunity to make their first contact with us because the student that was learning to channel later attended Session #22, which meant that he was of acceptable vibration to support the contact. There was only one more student from the Sunday night meditations that ever came to a Ra session, and Ra said of him that he was the last in the Sunday night meditation group that would be of the proper vibration to support their contact. Everyone in the group would need to be able to support the contact, so, I am guessing that Ra did not see any better time to begin the Ra sessions than the one just over 40 years ago.

In 37 years of channeling Carla channeled 1,500 session with Q’uo, 106 sessions with Ra, and an unknown number with Hatonn, Latwii, L/Leema, Nona, Monka, and Yada Dishiite. On vacation one summer off the coast of South Carolina, she even channeled the ocean that was experiencing the beginning stages of Hurricane Diane. This morning I continued the washing of the glass crystal dishes, China, and silver. The work went into the afternoon as the dish washing cycle is nearly two hours long. As of now it looks like I will be able to complete the dish washing of crystal dishes and China today with seven total loads washed. That will leave the silver for me to clean tomorrow.

The Instinct Of Creation To Praise

I am of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ who comes in the name of the one infinite God. I greet you in the full consciousness of Christ, which is love.

Every creature which is perfect of its kind is a true picture of the face of God. Each flower that blooms shouts with its colors in praise and blessing of the One who made it. All that is, is full of the instinctive love of its Creator.

Humankind alone removes itself again and again from the Creator’s praise, interpreting the signs and events of experience in ways that do not honor the love that created all. Do you think that you bloom with truer colors than the flower, you who doubt that each experience is full of love? Again you betray the love and honor which would be yours to offer if those who were self-conscious were also fully conscious.

It is the faith which we who are of the principle of Christ seek again and again to strengthen in you which alone can inform human consciousness of the divinity of all things and of their true color. Praise is not possible for most who are self-conscious without such aid. And yet the instinct to praise and bless one’s Creator is a true part of your makeup.

Seek, then, the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you may become a blooming flower, rejoicing in the light of a sun that always shines regardless of the appearance of evanescent clouds. Amen.

“And this instrument is aware of a system in which the chakras are as the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, with the white chakra, shall we say, hovering just at the top of that energy body as a crown. The first three chakras—red, orange and yellow—are the chakras which we would suggest it is helpful to visit every day, asking yourself in meditation, “What are my issues with survival? What are my issues with personal relationships with myself and with those about me? And what are my issues with the groups which I have decided to join as a human being in consensus reality?” These three categories are the categories of the red, orange and yellow energies.” Q’uo, March 4, 2005

Making the Choice is the first step of a journey of a lifetime. In the above quote Q’uo suggested that there are seven basic steps on that journey that correspond to our chakras and the unique expression of energy that each chakra offers. They said that one effective way of reinforcing our choice of polarity is to take time on a regular basis to look at each chakra while in the meditative state. In fact, Q’uo said that the first three chakras are so basic and vital to the health of our energy body that we would do well to look at each one on a daily basis. This makes sense when you realize that the first three chakras deal with the basic nature of our third-density illusion—the interactions that we as individual beings engage in with every other person that we meet. These interactions provide us “grist for the mill”, the catalyst that we can process to balance our chakras and become the 360 degree being and Creator that we always have been.

In the red-ray chakra we would be looking at our basic survival needs and our sexual energy needs. In the orange-ray chakra we would be looking at our self-acceptance and self-expression. In the yellow-ray chakra we would be looking at various groups like family, school, and work and how we blend into them. These three energy centers are the nitty gritty work of third density. We need to try to keep these energy centers open and balanced in order to be able to enter the temple of our open heart and share unconditional love with others. Once we have opened our hearts we are Players who shall be moving into the Harvest when we drop our bodies and walk into the light.

Before walking into the light, however, we can investigate the upper chakras of the blue ray of clear communication and inspiration, the indigo-ray chakra of work in consciousness, and the violet ray chakra to become aware of the sacred nature of each moment. It is interesting that Q’uo mentioned the white chakra that hovers just above the top of our head and appears as a crown. In 11.8, Ra alludes to just such a chakra and called it the “eighth level”:

Questioner: Is there anyone in our history that is commonly known who went to a fourth-density self-service or negative type planet, or who will go there?

Ra: I am Ra. The number of entities thus harvested is small. However, a few have penetrated the eighth level, which is only available from the opening up of the seventh through the sixth. Penetration into the eighth, or intelligent infinity, level allows a mind/body/spirit complex to be harvested, if it wishes, at any time/space during the cycle.

This makes sense when you think of the white light of the Creator separated into the rainbow of colors that are reflected in our chakras. Each of the chakras represents a certain quality that makes us seemingly separate entities that are traveling a path back into unity with the Creator. When we have balanced our chakras sufficiently we are then able to contact intelligent infinity, the Creator, or the pure and unified white light. During that contact with intelligent infinity we are no longer individual third-density entities but are one with intelligent infinity. Then we are the white light, no longer separate. We have come home to the one infinite Creator and may graduate into the fourth density of love and understanding.

This morning I continued cleaning Carla’s crystal, China, and silver. I did two more loads in the dish washer, and then I used my Lemon Pledge and a dust rag to clean all of the shelves that were bare while their contents were being washed. I also cleaned all of the cupboards just below the shelves as well as the cupboards that are on the same level as the dish washer. At this rate I may be done with this work in another couple of days.

The Blessedness Of Agony

I am the spirit of the consciousness of love, the principle of Jesus Christ in the vibration which comforts this instrument and many besides.

We come to all, to each in the vibration which may comfort each, for Christ discriminates not betwixt souls, considering one to be more blessed or beloved than another. Nor does the principle of love consider one situation to be more blessed than another.

You who are fortunate and content may consider yourselves blessed, yet you are no more blessed or beloved than the soul which is in torment or in agony. When the soul may begin to see the blessedness of agony and the glory of honest error and slothful iniquity, embracing all and offering all alike to Christ in thanksgiving, then we may speak more and more clearly and more often.

The seasons of repentance are also seasons of fruitful listening to those who seek to cherish their pain but not the agony which produces pain. Cherish not your hurt but your sin, offering it and all of your old life to Christ. For in the surrender of responsibility is also the acceptance of redemption. We say this not to encourage a spirit of carelessness but rather a deeper responsibility; that is, the responsibility to see the face of Christ and not the face of humankind. For are you not a dweller in eternity?
