I have been contemplating the nature of what it means to overcome, as meant by Ra, for a long time now. I am still mostly unable to grasp the meaning of it when it comes to everyday life.

What does it mean to you?

For reference, I have this quote in mind.

The reason it is unwise to overcome is that overcoming is an unbalanced action creating difficulties in balancing in the time/space continuum. Overcoming thus creates the further environment for holding onto that which apparently has been overcome.

All things are acceptable in the proper time for each entity, and in experiencing, in understanding, in accepting, in then sharing with other-selves, the appropriate description shall be moving away from distortions of one kind to distortions of another which may be more consonant with the Law of One.

It is, shall we say, a shortcut to simply ignore or overcome any desire. It must instead be understood and accepted. This takes patience and experience which can be analyzed with care, with compassion for self and for other-self.

I believe Ra uses the term "Logo" to refer to our sun. I think there's a correlation to the Gospel of John, "In the beginning was the Word (Logo)." Is the Sun supposed to be a subGod, or an archangel, or what? Do we communicate with our sun? Do we pray to it? Does it care about us? Or does it set up a game board in which we are the pieces and simply watch us play the game? I get the impression from the Ra material that it is a conscious entity.

Would love to hear your ideas about this.

I was rereading some sessions of the Law of One and came across this query having to do with two wanderers who came to Venus during Ra's 3rd Density experience and happened to polarize negatively enough to be harvested:

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series-
The One Power is the force of creation that good magic users use.
There are two sides, male and female. The Male aspect is tainted by the Dark One. Roughly analogous to the taint that has caused loss of lifespan on earth.

The True Power is the magic that evil magic users use. It's very similar to the One power, but comes directly from the dark one.
Similar to how STS is based on the force of the one creator and is open to all, but the True Power is subject to the Dark one's whim, just as STS is always a hierarchy, and one is at the mercy of those at the top.

In fact, according to the LOO, Intelligent energy is, in fact, separated into STS and STO, until united in mid-6th.

Ta'veren - Individuals who weave destiny around them. Analagous to LOO concept of Co-creation.

That's my start. I might think of more, and I know that some of you will find far more than these four.

Consider three different maps of the archetypal mind. Kabbalah, Astrology, Tarot.

The essential characteristic that they share, is regular relationships between each the different symbols that compose them.

There are 12 Astrological signs, which can be placed into groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6. It seems to me that the reason why there are 12 is because 12 has many divisors which allow this easy grouping.

Tarot has a similarly regular mathematical simplicity, three groups of 7 concepts, plus the choice.

Kabbalah a rather cool looking map, each Sephirot can be be organized by pillar or by level, and in fact each path represents a relationship between them.

The essential characteristic of an archetypal map is that there are a multitude of relationships between each station, with regular patterns and groupings.

Now, it is important to realize that each concept is a thing-in-itself. This is important to consider if you use if for meditation, because if you only consider it in terms of relationships, the tendency might be to consider each station finite, rather than allowing for infinite exploration and expansion.

Anyway, I will add one more thing I consider to be an archetypal map. The Periodic Table of Elements. The very term "Periodic" means that there are regular patterns, with Groups, Blocks, etc. Yet I believe that in other archetypal systems, each element is a thing in itself.

I am not sure if it is a grouping of the Archetypal Mind, because it may actually be a map of Red Ray, representing all of the elements that compose that density.

Still, its consideration may be useful for those who have difficulty reconciling themselves with space/time existence, as Ra says, Red Ray should not be disregarded as less important or spiritual than other aspects of reality.

I believe that chemical processes such as Distillation, Dissolution, provide excellent analogies to spiritual processes, and already exist in Alchemy.

The divorce between Alchemy and Chemistry happened, but I think it may be time for a revival.

Astrology and Astronomy also divorced, but Astrology adapted and became the psychological astrology that we know (making it in some ways the most modern archetypal system) while still largely using traditional associations. Why can't we do this with Alchemy?

We now have the advantage of an archetypal map, the Periodic Table, which didn't exist before. We also have the advantage that one can get reasonably complete sets of common elements for 200 or so, and essentially complete ones for 800 or so. There are other advantages.

TheEternal, you seem to have some knowledge of alchemy, and referenced it in the post on patience. Do can you point to some of your sources?

I feel that I should attempt to explain, as well as I can, the concept of Time/Space and some of it's implications, because it's important concept in the Law of One series and there really are not any sources of information that reference it.

First, where we live, is in Space/Time, there are three dimensions of space and only one dimension of time. (There is only one dimension of time because it is only possible to move forward)

However space and time are principles equally necessary for the universe to exist, and therefore it doesn't make sense that there are three dimensions of space, but only one of time.

The Law of One solves this problem by positing that the other side of the coin of reality is Time/Space, where there are three dimensions of time and one of space.

Importantly, it follows as structured a system of laws as Space/Time.

70.17: "I perceive a basic miscalculation upon your part in that time/space is no more homogenous than space/time. It is as complex and complete a system of illusions, dances, and pattern as is space/time and has as structured a system of what you may call natural laws."

If you want an idea of exactly how the Astral Planes are structured I recommend Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce.

In any case, the significance of Time/Space can be directly seen in a number of subjects addressed in Law of One. In it's simplest form, it is responsible for the efficacy of pyramids and crystals.

In 3.14, pyramids are actually called a "time/space ratio complex". There are different rooms in the pyramid, each placed at specific points where angles intersect, and each of these rooms has a different effect.

The pyramidal structure works because it is a simple solid, a regular shape existing in the three dimensions of space. Since it is even in the three dimensions of space in Space/Time, it has an association in Time/Space.

Crystals work similarly. A crystal is regular, repeating molecular structure, even in the three dimensions of space.

Salt is a crystal with a cubic molecular structure. squares/cubes, of course, ground and absorb energy, so, salt is efficacious to spread around a house in order to absorb old energies, and afterwards wash it away.

Lastly, Ra reccomends keeping hair at a minimum length for channeling, and 75.33 Refences hair as acting as an antennae in Time/Space.
